Antonio Brown has asked people not to “spin his words” after namedropping Keke Palmer in a series of raunchy tweets. “These all are rap lyrics. Please do not spin my words. Spin your money . Ima Rappa,” Brown wrote a few hours after a collection of tweets went viral. The posts in question referred to running a woman “like the Olympics”, referring to the colloquial group sex of “running a train”. The one that got people in arms concerning Palmer read “I don’t drink Arnold PALMERS I sip Keke Palmer Ya dig”.
However, the former wide receiver did double down on his lust for Palmer. “I love @KekePalmer. This is me creatively thinking of rap bars by the way is she Keke Single$.” Brown has been very active of late, seemingly trying to bait his former QB, Tom Brady. “I just f-ck Tom bihhhhh,” Antonio Brown wrote the day after Thanksgiving. It was part of a bizarre string of tweets in which Brown quoted Kanye and also claimed to have Alzheimer’s. Brady was reportedly instrumental in bringing Brown to the Buccaneers in 2020. However, Brown’s tenure only lasted a season and a half before his explosive exit from the team.
Elsewhere, Brown recently compared himself to Draymond Green. “Draymond Green in Antonio Brown” was the simple post that Brown made on X, formerly Twitter. Brown is likely alluding to the notion that both men are/were “unfairly targeted” or demonized by their respective leagues. Brown, due to his position on the offense, was never given the label of being a dirty player. However, he does believe himself to have been essentially run out of the league for his on- and off-field antics. Meanwhile, Green has long carried the dirty player label with him. Furthermore, that notoriety has been helped by incidents such as punching Jordan Poole and stamping on Domantas Sabonis.
In this latest incident, Green, Klay Thompson, and Jaden McDaniels were all ejected less than two minutes into a recent in-season tournament matchup between the Warriors and Timberwolves. The brawl broke out after Thompson and McDaniels clashed in transition. McDaniels pulled on Thompson’s jersey while the latter contested for a long rebound and the pair remained tangled up amid the ensuing breakaway. The two proceeded to start fighting, leading to a game-stopping brawl. Amid the chaos, Green was seen putting Rudy Gobert in a headlock.

The year is coming to an end, but there are still so many flowers still to be given out to the year’s biggest musical acts. Last week, the Billboard Music Awards celebrated the chart metric. Today (November 26), the 2023 Soul Train Awards, presented by BET, honored R&B acts moving the genre forward.
Keke Palmer did the honors of hosting the event. While acts like Muni Long, Coco Jones, and BJ The Chicago Kid appeared to perform for the attendees. However, the evening is all about walking away with a trophy.

November has been a particularly chaotic month for the Chicago native. She filed (and was granted) a restraining order against baby daddy Darius Jackson after providing evidence of him putting his hands on her in their home on more than one occasion. At this time, the 30-year-old has sole custody of baby Leodis but continues to put her best foot forward and fulfill her work obligations while awaiting court in December.
Today (November 26), Palmer is hosting the 2023 Soul Train Awards, with 21 Sav and her good friend (well, maybe not so good after Mama Sharon’s comments about him in a secretly recorded phone call) Usher leading the way in nominations. The past few days were all about promoting the BET ceremony on social media. In particular, a video posted on Saturday in which she looks trophy-like in a golden Balmain mini dress has our attention.
“Something about those Virgos… ,” the True Jackson VP actress wrote in her caption. Her shiny black hair has voluminous curls to add extra drama to her look, which also boasts tasteful golden accessories. In the comments, fans have been praising Keke non-stop for staying focused on herself and refusing to let her ex’s apparent jealousy and insecurity issues hold her back from greatness.
While Keke Palmer keeps busy fulfilling her work obligations and spending time with baby Leodis, Darius Jackson seems to be feeling reflective while celebrating the holidays without his son. Court documents claim that the personal trainer was manipulative and insecure while dating Palmer. He would lash out at her for interacting with other men (as we saw after her appearance at Usher’s Las Vegas residency), and apparently once even engaged in a game of “tug of war” over Leodis with the Chicago native. Despite the harrowing gossip, Jackson is doing his part to express his love for the months-old baby boy from afar with an Instagram post showing wholesome moments spent with his side of the family.
Because of the court order in effect, we’re under the assumption that the photos above are old. Nevertheless, Leodis is clearly still weighing heavy on his father’s mind this holiday season. “Always thankful for you, my son,” he wrote in the caption, kicking the carousel off with a video of the father-son duo taken on a plane. We also see Keke’s firstborn posing with her ex’s mom, grandparents, brother (who’s currently in a custody battle of his own), and other extended family members.

What was once a simple story of jealousy, gender standards, and relationship dynamics has devolved into something much darker. For those unaware, Keke Palmer filed a restraining order against her former partner, Darius Jackson, and requested sole custody of their recently born child. Moreover, this followed a public spat in which he criticized her for wearing revealing clothing and happily getting serenaded by Usher during his Las Vegas residency. In a leaked alleged phone call, the actress’ mother supposedly went off on Jackson, accusing him of harassment and saying he has mental problems. During this, she apparently brought up the Usher incident with a wild take.
“Usher is gay!” Sharon Palmer allegedly expressed. “You and your stupid-a** family, y’all don’t even understand business. Usher’s gay, guys.” In a comment on The Neighborhood Talk‘s Instagram post covering this, Keke Palmer’s mother explained why she stated this. “The lie I told about Usher was to get Darius to stop abusing my daughter on account of his jealousy,” she clarified. “So I said he didn’t like women for her SAFETY. Everything else I meant with my chest and didn’t expect anyone to hear it because recording me is illegal. I guess he is okay with jail but I knew that when he put his hands on my daughter. He is still abusing her in all of this, trying to paint himself as a victim. Textbook behavior.”
Regardless of that Usher situation, if the allegations against Jackson are true, there’s abundant cause for Sharon to defend Keke Palmer. In her filing against her former partner, she claimed a systemic pattern of physical and emotional abuse, which sometimes allegedly occurred in front of their son. With a temporary restraining order and sole custody of their son, the 30-year-old will now have to go to court to determine whether this will be a permanent arrangement. A hearing for said decision will take place in early December, if everything goes as scheduled.
Meanwhile, Darius Jackson denied these claims and levied accusations of his own against her mom. His side of the story claims that Palmer threatened to shoot him and other considerations. A smiling Keke Palmer was a welcomed sight on Wednesday, November 15, when she announced that she will host BET’s Soul Train Awards 2023.
“Hey, Keke Palmer here, and I have an announcement that I can’t hold anymore,” the actress and singer said in a video posted across BET’s social media channels. “BET asked yo’ girl to host this year’s Soul Train Awards! And you know it’s about to be lit, grown, sexy, real cute, or whatever — unlike any other because I’m doing it my way.”
She continued, “And I’m doing it from my fabulous, big ol’ house in the Hollywood Hills, so while the guest list is exclusive, I’m letting the cameras in so you can help me celebrate the most soulful party of the year. Get your Keke-tinis ready, and turn up with me on Sunday, November 26, at 8 p.m. EST/7 p.m. CST on BET. Period.”
According to BET, this year’s nomination field is led by Summer Walker, SZA, and Usher with nine nods apiece. The network has also confirmed performances by Palmer, BJ The Chicago Kid, Coco Jones, Danté Bowe, Fridayy, Muni Long, SWV.
This positive news from Palmer comes one week after the likes of People, TMZ, and US Weekly reported that Palmer had filed for a domestic violence restraining order against her ex, Darius Jackson, as well as for full custody of their son, Leodis. As per Rolling Stone on November 10, “a judge has granted Keke Palmer temporary sol e custody” of the eight-month-old.
“She gave him a lot of chances to do the right thing,” an unnamed source told the publication. “Keke tried so hard to have an amicable split and arrangement [custody]. […] She needed to prioritize her safety and the safety of her baby. She wants the best for Leo. She did not want it to get to this point. But she did what she had to do.”

The legal battle intensified this week as Palmer’s mother, Sharon, became involved with alarming claims against Jackson. Revealing that she feared for her daughter’s life during the relationship, a leaked phone call, later retracted by TMZ, showcasing Sharon allegedly threatening to shoot Jackson out of concern for her daughter’s safety. Radar Online reports that Sharon threatened to take legal action against Jackson for leaking the call under California consent law. this call seemingly precipitated a physical altercation between Jackson and Palmer, captured in surveillance footage submitted to support the restraining order.

On September 17, 2023, Teyana Taylor shared that she and her now-former husband Iman Shumpert had been separated for months. The reason for the post was so the model and coach could put an end to several baseless rumors that were flying around. Evidently, even while certifying that they are indeed no longer a couple, Taylor made it clear that she and Shumpert are still a family, no matter what. “Not too much on my bestie!” she began.

From Taylor’s words, it’s clear that the two still love each other and maintain a cordial relationship. While things started out sweetly between Palmer and Jackson in 2023, their relationship has slowly devolved to a point of no return. The pair found love in each other when they met in 2021.
