City Girls Announced Their New Album ‘RAW (Real Ass Wh*res)’ After An Electrifying BET Hip-Hop Awards Performance

Miami rap duo City Girls is three years removed from the release of their last album, City On Lock. Since then, they haven’t lost any of their momentum while pursuing other projects, including solo singles and Yung Miami’s show Caresha Please. This month, they’ll build on the foundation they’ve already laid with their third studio album, RAW, which they announced during last night’s BET Hip-Hop Awards.

The album’s title is an acronym, which stands for “Real Ass Wh*res,” and its release date will be next Friday, October 20. They’ve released a steady stream of singles this year, including “Face Down,” “I Need A Thug,” and “Piñata,” and while none has been a runaway hit like “Act Up,” they’ve been enough to drive excitement among the girls’ hardcore day-one fans — which is usually all you need at times like these. Meanwhile, they also delivered a crowd-pleasing performance at the BET Hip-Hop Awards, proving that demand for their services is still just as high as ever.

While fans have been waiting for a new album from JT and Yung Miami, they’ve both kept busy. Yung Miami has had her show on Revolt, while JT launched her No Bars Reform initiative in July.

RAW (Real Ass Wh*res) is due on 10/20 via Quality Control Music.

City Girls Serve Up A Medley Of New Songs At BET Hip Hop Awards

The BET Hip Hop Awards were broadcast overnight and they featured performances from some of the biggest names in hip hop. DaBaby, Sexyy Redd, Fivio Foreign, and GloRilla all took the stage to play some of their new songs. There were also tributes to Jermain Dupri’s So So Def Recordings and Marley Marl who was receiving the I Am Hip Hop award. There was also a performance from JT and Yung Miami, AKA City Girls.

The pair played two songs. First JT stepped up to play her debut solo single “No Bars.” The track dropped earlier this year and was followed by an announcement in an interview that she was planning on making an entire solo album eventually. After that, the duo played their newest single “Face Down.” The sexually charged banger dropped back in artists and has racked up nearly 3 million Spotify streams since. Check out the full video of the hard-hitting performance below.

City Girls Take The BET Hip Hop Awards Stage

Earlier today, City Girls made an announcement that had their fans buzzing. They’ve been teasing a new album for a while but now it’s got an official name. The project is called R.A.W, which fittingly stands for “Real A*s Wh*res.” They didn’t give an official release date for the project but fans won’t have to wait too long as they promised that it was coming this month. They’ve released 4 new singles this year in the lead up to the project, most notable “Act Bad” with Fabolous and Diddy.

Despite being busy recording their new album the City Girls are still getting up to some fun. The pair attended a show on Beyonce’s Renaissance tour last month. While there they shared clips of themselves seemingly having the time of their lives during the concert. Despite some fans online taking issue with their outfit choices, most loved the videos. What do you think of JT and Yung Miami’s performance at the BET Hip Hop Awards? Let us know in the comment section below.

City Girls Reveal Name And Release Details Of New Album

Earlier this week JT had a photo shoot and accompanying interview with Interview Magazine, In the piece she discusses how she’s planning on releasing a solo album, but not before the new City Girls project drops. Now in a new clip, the duo are sharing some details on just how soon fans can expect new material from them. In the video, they announced their album is called R.A.W, which stands for “Real A*s Wh*res.” It also won’t be long before fans get a chance to listen to it.

While the pair didn’t give a specific date that fans can put in their calendar, they did make a big promise. They told fans that the album was coming out this month. That means if it releases on a standard Friday, there are only 3 more chances for them to follow up on that promise. While this upcoming weekend has some notable releases with new albums from Offset and Bad Bunny, the rest of the month is likely fair game for the duo to release their new project. Check out the clip of the announcement below.

City Girls New Album Is Coming This Month

City Girls have been dropping new singles all year in the lead-up to their new album. Most recently they shared the raunchy banger “Face Down” in late August. That followed three new singles earlier this year. The first was “Act Bad” which sported features from Fabolous and Diddy. That was preceded by “Pinata” and “I Need A Thug.”

Despite the duo keeping busy working on their new album, they’ve managed to have fun nonetheless. The duo turned up to a show on Beyonce’s Renaissance tour and seemed to have the time of their lives while there. Even though some fans online had critiques for the outfits they wore, that clearly didn’t impact the time they had. What do you think of City Girls announcing that their new album is arriving so soon? Let us know in the comment section below.

JT’s Beats By Dre x Mowalola Campaign Confuses Some, City Girl Responds

Besides being one of the best-known female groups making music today, City Girls JT and Yung Miami keep busy with plenty of other side projects. Between studio sessions with her partner in rhyme, the latter spends plenty of time with her two children and her Papi Diddy, as well as hosting her REVOLT podcast, Caresha Please. JT has been in a long-term relationship with Lil Uzi Vert for as long as we can remember and has notably always had a passion for fashion. Earlier in the summer she launched a clothing project that was well-received among fans, and now, the Florida native is expanding her modelling portfolio.

On Monday (September 19), fashion brand Mowalola unveiled photos from their latest campaign shoot – a collaboration with Beats By Dre. In the image below, JT models the famous silver headphones in an unusual way – covering her eye rather than her ears – while sporting a much more colourful hairstyle than usual. They clearly weren’t going for a conventional vibe, but not everyone on social media understood that. “Beats By Dre headphone covering her eye. Ok,” one critic wrote.

Elsewhere on social media, JT went on Instagram Live to discuss her photo shoot. “This is not for the trolls, this is not for the h*es, this is not for the people trying to defend it,” she began. “It’s for everybody. It’s for my dark skin girls with the nose… This Miss Mug Shot is now the face of a brand, b**ch,” the black-haired beauty hyped herself up.

JT’s Booty Shaking Antics At Solange’s Party Prove She’s Always In City Girl Mode

Before summer 2023 officially began, JT and Yung Miami declared alongside Diddy and Fabolous that it was about to be a season of “acting bad.” There has undeniably been plenty of criminal activity taking place in the celebrity world, though that’s likely not the kind of trouble the City Girls were encouraging others to get into. Rather, Caresha and Jativia have been pouring their energy into partying with friends, hitting up the mall, bragging about having “good pu**y,” and of course, twerking.

On Tuesday (August 28), a video of JT shaking her booty (once again) hit the internet. While it’s nothing new to see the “Ex For A Reason” throwing it back by herself or alongside Miami, this time around fans were surprised to see her twerking with Solange Knowles. In the video below, Beyonce’s younger sister hypes up with City Girl’s ability to make her behind move like water, even in a designer dress.

It seems the two women came together, along with other famous friends, to celebrate Solange’s new glassware collection. The 37-year-old’s mother, Tina Lawson was also in attendance and didn’t hold back when showing off her dance moves. “I love nothing better than dancing with my baby girl @solangeknowles. Last night at her new beautiful glassware party!” the family matriarch wrote on IG. “It was at the home of the amazing Black pioneering architect Paul R. Williams. A house is not home.”

As another summer comes to a close, it looks as though JT has found the perfect balance between work and play. Sure, she’s found time to hit the mall with Yung Miami and show off her twerking for Solange, but the Florida native has also been putting in work on her recently announced clothing project, as well as collaborations with Kali Uchis and Stunna Girl. City Girls’ ‘Face Down’ Single Is A Sassy Response To The Growing Discussion That They’ve Changed Their Ways

Finding love doesn’t mean a self-proclaimed baddie has abandoned the movement’s manifesto. The club’s head figures, City Girls, can attest to this. The rap duo (consisting of Yung Miami and JT) are both happily linked to other entertainers, but instead of walking away from the cause, they’ve doubled down on the core principles. On their new Mike WiLL Made-It & P-Nasty-produced single, “Face Down,” the group offers a sassy response to the growing online discussion that they’ve changed their ways.

As if the Girls Gone Wild-inspired cover art for the record didn’t send a clear enough message, out the gate Yung Miami declares her allegiance to the City Girls lifestyle, rapping, “Face down, ass up, sl*t me out / I don’t even let a broke n**** eat me out / He know this p*ssy stay wet in the middle of droughts / I make him face me, nasty, squ*rt in his mouth / I need that car paid for and a new house / Said ‘Do I look basic? Wife me now’ / I heard cash rules, let me show you how / Bettеr spend that sh*t, baby, ice me out.”

The listener knows she means business thanks to the distraught clip of her beau, Diddy, leaving a designer storefront after one of her extravagant shopping sprees.

JT follows it up, rapping, “If he ain’t blowin’ a bag, b*tch, pick a better n**** / I’m in that new coupe, might go vroom-vroom / B*tches that be hatin’ on me really ain’t got no room / I mean literally, no house b*tch, no room / I’m a city girl, so he gotta be a tycoon / Face down, ass up, that’s the way I like to f*ck / You want a b*tch from the city, huh? P*ssy pretty, huh? / Got a n**** out of motherf*ckin’ Philly, uh,” reminding everyone she’s still madly in love with fellow rapper Lil Uzi Vert despite her violent tangent during the 2023 BET Awards.

Adding to their growing tribute to Miami hip-hop legend Luke, “Face Down” contains a sample of his 1990 song “Face Down, Ass Up” featuring 2 Live Crew. The record is the latest offering from the pair following after “Good Love,” “I Need A Thug,” “Piñata,” and “Act Bad,” with Diddy featuring Fabolous further fueling their claims that an album is on the way.

Yung Miami Tells JT Why Scorpio Is Her Favourite Zodiac Sign To Date

In their music, the City Girls often rap about wreaking havoc in the lives of men with their salacious scamming antics. In real life, however, JT has long been boo’d up with fellow rapper Lil Uzi Vert. She even recently hinted at wanting them to put a wedding ring on her finger. As for Yung Miami, she’s spent over a year in a situationship with Diddy, despite him welcoming a baby with another woman.

Both women have spoken candidly about the ups and downs of their love lives through the years. Earlier this week, the City Girls sat down for a Complex interview. At the time, they discussed some of their romantic preferences. “GOAT zodiac sign to date?” Miami asked her partner in rhyme in the video below. “Sagitarrius, what?” the “Ex For A Reason” artist responded, despite the fact that Lil Uzi is a Leo. Clearly, JT sees herself as the prize, as she celebrates her birthday each year on December 3.

For her answer, the Caresha Please host (an Aquarius) revealed that she prefers to spend her time with Scorpios. “They womanizers,” Miami explained. Unsurprisingly, her “Act Bad” collaborator just so happens to fall under that sign, and he’s built a reputation for himself as a ladies’ man within the industry. Earlier this year, the mother of two confirmed that she and Diddy had put an end to their unique situation, only for her to attend the Met Gala on his arm shortly after.

Yung Miami may not publicly claim Sean Combs as her man, but still, she’s never been afraid to flaunt the ways in which he spoils her. Most recently, it was the Maybach he purchased for the City Girl back in 2022 that had her bragging about how good her “pu**y” is. Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Stunna Girl Adds JT To New Remix Of “Like Dat”

It is no secret that the City Girls are some of the most in-your-face female rappers in the current landscape. Their consistent energy and enthusiasm can be found in nearly every song in their discography. The bars consist of money, beauty, and partying, which has helped skyrocket them to fame and popularity. The duo of JT and Yung Miami easily continues to be an influence for many up-and-coming female artists and that does not seem to be slowing down any time soon.

However, JT is not alongside her long-time friend and partner, Yung Miami for this new remix of “Like Dat” by Stunna Girl. In fact, both have their own solo material and separate feature credits as well. For example, JT made an appearance on Summer Walker’s “Ex For A Reason.” Now, JT is back with another solo feature credit on the second remix.

Stunna Girl And JT Got Brags For Days

The first rework of the 2023 single by Stunna Girl saw French Montana hop onto the track on July 28. Just a few weeks later, we have a new version and it might be better. Both get extra braggadocious, flaunting their wealth, status and of course, their beauty. Stunna Girl’s first verse remains the same but her second verse is shortened to make time for JT to attack the beat.

What are your thoughts on the “Like Dat Remix” featuring JT of the City Girls? Which version do you prefer between French Montana, JT, and the original single? Who had the best verse on the track? City Girls’ JT Told A Fan To ‘Stop Begging’ For Free Merch: ‘Don’t Ask Me For Sh*t You Won’t Ask A Man’

City Girls’ JT is never one to hold back, and her recent Instagram Live was no exception. While she was chatting to fans earlier this week, one reportedly asked the rapper to send some merch — which she quickly addressed.

“Stop begging,” JT told the fan and the audience, according to HipHopDX. “You know what I don’t like? When a motherf*cker scared to beg a man but they’ll get on here and beg me. Don’t ask me for sh*t you won’t ask a man for, baby. Don’t ask me for nothing you won’t ask a man for. If you ain’t got no courage to ask the man that you texting or talking to for anything… do not think you can ask me for it because I ain’t got it just like that man.”

“The thing is don’t ask me for nothing that you can’t ask that man,” she added. “How bout you ask that man to buy you some merch? When the site open back up, boom. There you go.”

Those who have since seen the video aren’t fully here for JT’s reaction either, with one user responding, “These new artists can’t perform for sh*t & go out their way to alienate fans.” Another added, “I’d say she too fine to be so corny.”

Check out a clip of JT’s merch advice above.
