DJ Envy Lost $250K In Jewelry, Including Bust-Down Rolex, While Travelling: Video

DJ Envy’s celebrity status wasn’t enough to keep him from enduring a major L at the airport this past weekend. On Tuesday (March 28), the media personality told those tuning into The Breakfast Club that he, unfortunately, lost a quarter of a million dollars worth of jewelry after crossing paths with an uptight TSA agent. After his co-host, Charlamagne Tha God lightly trolled him and pressed for the details, he sadly recounted his tragic loss.

“I was travelling from Atlanta back to New York on Friday I had my roller, my backpack and I have my blazer, you know, because I was just shooting,” Envy began. He then noted that he wasn’t able to put his blazer in his luggage as he didn’t want it to crease. “Usually, I’m a Delta Million Miler, I’m Diamond, they don’t give me a problem. They just hang my jacket up for me,” the author explained, though “[the] white woman” who he interacted with that day “was not trying to hear it.”

DJ Envy Recounts His Unfortunate Loss

Envy told Charlamagne, “She was nasty. I don’t know if she had a bad day, but she told me I couldn’t do it. So I said, okay, I had to check my bag. When I went to check my bag, I remember my jewelry was in there. I was like, you know, let me take it out and put it in my backpack. When I went on a plane, I left the jewelry.” The 45-year-old noted that he’s attempted to contact Delta in hopes of tracking down the valuable pieces. Among them were a bust-down Rolex, a ring, and chains engraved with his wife and children’s names.

While DJ Envy hasn’t heard back from the airline quite yet, he did inform listeners that he at least has insurance on his missing jewelry. During TBC broadcast, one caller didn’t hold back when telling the host about their disgust over the situation. “Okay, so you’re gonna pick this platform and use it to hope that she’s listening because you want her to bring it back to you, but Envy, nobody leaves Cartier at the airport. You want to know why? Because nobody who works a nine-to-five goes to the airport wearing a Cartier. Nobody does that. Why would you do that?” they asked. In response, Envy declared, “If I did it on purpose I would feel a lot easier but I didn’t do it on purpose. Ice Spice Gets Her Chain Snatched, Says Man Taunting Her In A Video

She’s a relatively unproblematic newcomer, but a man claims he’s snatched Ice Spice’s chain. Ice stormed the Rap game with her “Munch” hit, putting her on the map as a formidable contender. She’s the latest artist to receive the meteoric rise treatment, increasing visibility with every release. Her first year in the mainstream found Spice posing for Beyoncé’s Ivy Park campaign, and she’s hit festival stages across the globe. However, with newfound fame also comes haters, and a group of men claimed they robbed the Like…? star.

A video of a group dangling a “Queen” chain in the camera lens surfaced online. “We got Ice Spice chain,” one of the men said. “Stop playin’ with me. Pull up. Y’all know where we at.” He then mocked the way Ice Spice raps, echoing his previous remark about her going to him to get her jewelry back. The clip ended with laughter but didn’t explain where this alleged robbery occurred.

Ice Spice Fans Jump In

Reactions quickly poured in, and unsurprisingly, the group was called out. People were confused—and disgusted—by the men bragging about snatching a chain from a woman. The public was also divided about the validity of the encounter. Some ran with it as truth, while others believed the alleged thieves were clout-chasing. Even if it was just jokes, the men now find themselves on the wrong side of Ice Spice fans.

Further, it was noted that Ice Spice has a signature chain, and the one in the video certainly wasn’t it. Spice’s necklace is a blinged-out, exaggerated version of her face, and after copping the piece, she wears it just about anywhere she goes. Her fans couldn’t accept that the “Queen” necklace belonged to the rapper and advised people not to believe everything they see on the internet. Since going viral, there hasn’t been a response from Ice Spice or her alleged assailants. We can only imagine it may be a rough day for them because all clout isn’t good clout. Moneybagg Yo took to Instagram to flex his expansive and shimmering jewelry collection, and boasted that it “ain’t even half.” Moreover, he showed off a couple of watches, some chains, pendants, and what seem to be rings. Considering the Memphis rapper’s increasing and consistent success over the past few years, he built quite the impressive display. However, a lot of people in the comments didn’t take too kindly to his showing off. While some said that such behavior is what leads rappers to get robbed, others gave similar spiels on material wealth, lab-grown diamonds, and so on. Regardless, the “Wockesha” MC seems quite proud to post his collection on the Gram.

Even though you might assume the rapper’s cold and achievement-driven mentality, he’s got a softer side. In fact, he recently appeared in a funny video with girlfriend Ari Fletcher where they cook together. Furthermore, they grilled each other with questions about their relationship. “Did you really snatch my wig off when we was outside the club in Miami?” Fletcher asked the 31-year-old. “Do your kids like me? In your new song, you was like ‘F**k on my h*e, f**k on my b***h.’ Who were you talking about? Do your baby mamas like me?”

Moreover, the social media influencer gave Moneybagg Yo a Volkswagen, and he gave Ari a Bentley.

Meanwhile, Yo is continuing his expansive and multi-hyphenate career as a leading artist and talent scouter. For example, he recently assisted Baltimore MC Rican Da Menace on her recent single “DUMB,” and the duo brought a banger together.
