Yo Gotti Praised For Answering Angela Simmons’ Call Mid-Interview

It’s no secret that Angela Simmons has long been the object of Yo Gotti’s affection. Now that he’s finally lucky enough to call the black-haired beauty his girlfriend, there’s no way he’ll risk losing her. The pair have spent much of their summer travelling around the globe and posing for photos in beautiful locations like Greece and Dubai. Even when they’re not in each other’s company due to their busy schedules, Angela and her rapper beau manage to stay connected throughout the day.

During a recent interview with Power 106‘s Justin Credible, Gotti was answering questions when he noticed an incoming call that he couldn’t help but pick up. “Do you wanna take that?” the host asked as the Southern star paused mid-sentence. “Yeah,” he replied before letting Simmons know that he’s in the midst of a work obligation. Though the lovers’ interaction was short and not particularly loving, the smile on Gotti’s face afterward proves that even just hearing from his girl brightens his day.

Yo Gotti and Angela Simmons are Still Going Strong

“That was shorty,” he told Justin. “I wanted to say hi,” the radio personality admitted nervously. “You should’ve,” the 42-year-old teased his friend before they agreed to call Simmons back. “Yo, my boy Justin Credible interviewing me and wanted to speak to you,” Yo tells his girl. “I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself, definitely a fan,” the Power 106 icon gushed to Gotti’s other half.

Gotti first professed his adorating for Angela Simmons on “Down in the DM” nearly a decade ago. On his most recent project, a Gangsta Grillz sequel, the CMG head once again showed love to the shoe designer – now his girlfriend – in both a song and music video. 50 Cent Tells “Men’s Health” Why He Doesn’t Wear Bulletproof Vests Anymore

Though 50 Cent never really left the public eye, he has roared back into the limelight for many this year. He’s currently on an absolutely massive 93-stop tour in celebration of his 2003 classic Get Rich Or Dye Tryin’ turning 20. He also just recently popped up on Nas’ new album Magic 2. The pair teamed up on a song called “Office Hours” which made for their first team-up in over 20 years. in a recent viral clip from his interview with Men’s Health, 50 explains how he learned to value himself and stop chasing all the women he met after becoming a celebrity.

Now more info from the interview is emerging, including why 50 Cent stopped wearing his iconic bulletproof vest. “When did I stop wearing the bulletproof vest? I don’t have a specific timeline for that,” his answer begins. “You know what happened? I got other things. I had gotten vehicles, like, full-blown level 6. The same stuff Obama is riding around in. “So it didn’t make sense to have to wear it every day because it was like in between that one space that I was going into the building and coming out of the building. So, I started to wear it less but this is almost like my hallmark. In the beginning of my career, I was seen more often with it than without it.”

50 Cent On Moving On From The Bulletproof Vest

Recently after a stop on his ongoing tour, 50 Cent caught up with Griselda rapper Benny The Butcher backstage. The crossover had fans dying for a new collaboration between the pair. That isn’t the only crossover people are hoping for following his team-up with Nas.

Last week Waka Flocka spoke on how he wanted 50 to team up with Busta Rymes for an entire collaborative album. While it didn’t serve as any kind of actual announcement of anything, fans had no trouble agreeing with the vision. Curren$y Says He Won’t Travel Overseas For One Reason

Curren$y has built a cult-like following over the years, with a fanbase that spans across the globe. However, his international base is unlikely to see him anytime soon. Curren$y made an appearance on the latest episode of Drink Champs, which premiered over the weekend on Saturday (August 5), where he explained why. According to the New Orleans native, touring outside the country really isn’t something he enjoys.

Curren$y admitted during his one (and perhaps only) overseas run that it wasn’t quite what he expected. According to the rapper, the atmosphere across the pond left him completely unimpressed. Curren$y was struck by how different everything was, even the condiments. He found that the ketchup didn’t quite taste the same as it did back home.

Curren$y Admits He Was Underwhelmed With His Overseas Experience

In addition to the ketchup, the rapper also complained that Europe’s Mary Jane wasn’t up to his standards: “I only went overseas on one run, bro,” Spitta began. “Yeah, one run and then we came back and we bought some cars and I was just like, ‘I’m straight.’ All the ketchup didn’t taste like ketchup. Everything was f*cking crazy.” He continued: “It was tough to be happy with weed. It was bad, bro. In every coffee shop I went in in Amsterdam, it was all just not good weed.”

Despite the fact that Curren$y may not enjoy turning up overseas, he loves his hometown of New Orleans dearly. Last month, the rapper performed on the Essence Festival Music stage in his native city. On the music side of things, back in June, Curren$y and New York producer Harry Fraud dropped their collaborative project, Vices. The nine-track album is barely over 22 minutes, but it’s packed with features. Benny The ButcherJim Jones, Tommy Wright III, Larry June, G.T., Rome Streetz, and Vico all appear in various songs. Back in April, he released another collection of tracks with legendary producer Jermaine Dupri titled, For Motivational Use Only, Vol. 1, which featured appearances by T.I. and 2 Chainz, and more. Stay tuned to HNHH for updates from the music world.

REASON Says Heated Moosa Interview Wasn’t A “Rollout Move” For New Album

In the age of social media, it’s not uncommon to see celebrities pull off PR stunts to draw more attention to their projects. Cardi B and Offset is a great example of a couple who have intentionally turned their real-life drama into cold-hard cash thanks to the internet. Of course, there are also those who accidentally go viral while promoting their work, such as TDE’s REASON. The lyricist revealed earlier this summer that his next LP, Porches, is due out this coming New Music Friday (August 11).

During his customary round of press interviews, the 32-year-old got to talking about some of the artists he’s collaborating with on the album, also revealing that some features – specifically with Latto and EST Gee – fell through, seemingly as a result of his label’s slacking. Before long, TDE co-president Moosa got on the line, and he was quick to assert that they weren’t sure about signing REASON in the first place. Some assumed that the feud was all an attempt to stir up streams for the project, but on Tuesday (August 8) morning, the “Extinct” artist shut that down.

REASON is Keeping the Energy Positive Ahead of PORCHES

“I appreciate [people] that’s reached out to me,” he tweeted today. “Trust, I’m as good as I can be. We’ll have a real convo at some point about what happened, just trust that wasn’t a ‘rollout move’ lol. That actually happened! All positive energy as of now moving forward tho. ‘Porches’ Friday! Love y’all!” REASON concluded his update.

Prior to his heated discussion with Moosa, REASON took time in another recent interview to clear up any gossip about his past beef with Logic. While the two seemingly took shots at each other on past releases, the West Coast native says he didn’t see his initial bars about being compared to the father of two as a diss, but rather, simply speaking the truth. Read what else REASON revealed at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Bobbi Althoff has confirmed that Tyga will be the guest on the next episode of her popular show, The Really Good Podcast. “I finally learned who @tyga was / new episode of The Really Good Podcast coming Thursday,” Althoff captioned the video. In the clip, Tyga complains about it being too hot and uses multiple fans to cool off. One follower commented: “Why I’m getting the feeling he was low key flirting.” Another added: “If she looks at the camera like Pam from the office I’ll lose my mind lmao. That’s all that was missing from this dry masterpiece.”

Is that the guy that dated [her]?” Bobbi asked in response, to which Drake answers, “Yeah, maybe before the iPhone or something. That’s such ancient gossip.” “Does he sing?” Bobbi continues. “I don’t know who that is.” From there, Drake plays her a snippet of Tyga’s song, “Rack City.” Check out the preview of Althoff’s upcoming conversation with Tyga on Instagram below.

Jay-Z Once Told RZA He Inspired “The Blueprint,” The Wu-Tang Clan Legend Says

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky aren’t the only rap-adjacent stars who have honored the great RZA. Moreover, the Wu-Tang Clan legend sat down for an interview with Rolling Stone on Monday (August 7) and revealed quite the interesting story. Apparently, fellow New York hip-hop titan Jay-Z once told him that he was the inspiration for his classic album The Blueprint. Furthermore, the 54-year-old was answering a question about whether he would do anything different when looking back at his career. While this is a commendable and important point of inspiration, it’s also a small part of his massive artistic legacy; what could he have changed?

“I think that what I did was necessary,” RZA expressed, “I think that it was ordained. One day, Jay-Z told me, ‘Yo, I got [the idea for] The Blueprint from you.’ At that time, I was headed to Hollywood already. Now, here’s a path, here’s a way it can work. And it continued to work in different regions of the country and with different crews.” The Brownsville-born MC and producer certainly isn’t wrong in having paved a way for future rappers. After all, 36 Chambers alone was impactful and boundary-pushing enough to cement the Wu as one of the all-time groups in the genre.

Jay-Z With Wu-Tang’s Own Ghostface Killah

In addition, it shouldn’t be too surprising that Hov feels inspired by RZA, either as a music mogul in his own right or as an avid Wu-Tang Clan listener. For example, earlier this year at the Grammys, Jay-Z passionately rapped along to Method Man’s performance of his self-titled track. That was for the celebration of hip-hop’s 50th anniversary that took place at the awards ceremony, and it made for an incredible moment. Whenever you see MCs become fans again, it’s always a wholesome treat.

Meanwhile, many would argue that the Roc Nation billionaire would be nothing without the Wu’s contributions. Even though they’re decidedly different strains of East Coast rap, there’s a hardcore and street-oriented lineage that can’t fall under the radar. Regardless, they’re both incredibly important, and will probably inspire each other for years to come. For more news and the latest updates on the RZA and Jay-Z, log back into HNHH.

Rita Ora Proposed To Taika Waititi

In a recent interview with Vogue, Taika Waititi and Rita Ora shared some new details of their low-key wedding, as well as their nontraditional engagement. According to the filmmaker, his songstress wife turned the tables on her now-husband, proposing to him instead of the other way around. As one does when Rita Ora proposes to them, he claims that he agreed right away.

“She proposed to me, and I said ‘yes’ instantly,” the New Zealander explained. He also shared that Ora popped the question only a couple of weeks before they officially tied the knot. It all went down in the summer of 2022, during their vacation together in Palm Springs. They then went on to hold a very small ceremony at their LA home in August of that year. “There were about eight people there — just close friends and family, and parents on Zoom,” Waititi recalled.

The pair also shared some never-before-seen photos from their wedding day with the outlet. “I wore my mum’s pearls that she got married in,” Ora explained. “My sister walked me down the aisle, and it was just really simple and blissful and calm and private and fun.” She went on to reveal that her and her husband have had a blast with fans’ speculation. “It’s actually been quite entertaining for us to see the different stories people made up and all the while getting to keep it to ourselves,” she says. “And, I love that we now get to share what really happened—and to do it on our one-year anniversary, no less.” The couple seemed to appreciate the perks of their understated ceremony, as weddings are known to be pretty stressful.

Yeah, it was beautiful,” Taika says. “Just having close friends and not having it too big. We didn’t have table settings or any of the stressful things that go along with weddings, and it was nice to just have it super-simple. My daughters were there, and they made everything really fun and easy: I think just because we didn’t have the pressure of having caterers and all of these things, you know, people turning up late, and all of the different moving parts.”

Kim Kardashian Should Be “Dragged To Jail” If She Attends Taylor Swift’s Tour, Dave Portnoy Says

During a recent interview with Page Six, Dave Portnoy weighed in on Taylor Swift’s Eras tour. The BFFs podcast host also shared his thoughts on some beef between Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband Kanye West. According to Portnoy, Swift shouldn’t let Kim attend her tour, and should send her to jail if she even tries. “If I were Taylor, I would have security waiting at the entrance and I would throw handcuffs on her and drag her to jail,” he told the outlet. “It would surprise me if she didn’t [attend]. That would be a very Kim move.”

“A lot of people don’t actually know the story but they edited her phone call and called her a liar,” he explained. “The phone call came out a few years later and it backed up everything that Taylor Swift said, so that was kind of what started me on the Swiftie path.“ Portnoy continued, “When everyone was crucifying her I was like, ‘This is not right,’ so now I’ve just grown to be a huge fan.” Famously, Kanye crashed Swift’s acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs in 2009. She won an award for Best Female Video, but Ye insisted the award should have gone to Beyonce. Things between them have been weird ever since.

Kanye later issued an apology, retracted it, and then the duo randomly appeared to be on good terms again. Kanye even claimed in 2015 that they’d be coming out with a collab. In 2016, however, Kanye released “Famous,” which includes a questionable line about Swift. “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that b*tch famous,” he says in the song. He claimed to have gotten approval from Swift for the lyric, but her team denies this.

After various digs at each other, Kim got involved in 2016. She claimed that they had a recording of Swift agreeing to the line, which she later released. Swift released the unedited recording in 2020, revealing that she never agreed to Ye referring to her as “that b*tch.” Kim responded, calling Swift’s release of the recording “self-serving.”

Lizzo Spoke About “Having A Rough Day” In Interview Days Before Facing Lawsuit: Watch

Lizzo is most often in the news for topics surrounding body positivity, but a lawsuit that hit the news cycle last week alleged that the Detroit native’s attitude is anything but accepting behind closed doors. Three of her dancers are taking legal action against their former boss, claiming that she fired one of them after commenting on their weight gain, pressured them into touching nude dancers at an Amsterdam strip club, and acted out in aggression toward her team. The internet has been divided on the discourse, as well as the “Truth Hurts” hitmaker’s response to the gossip, but an attorney recently hinted that we could see Lizzo in court over the accusations of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment.

In another update on the investigation, DailyMail reports that the plus-sized ambassador spoke about having a “rough day” during a 60 Minutes interview just days before word of her dancer’s claims went public. At the time, Lizzo was in the midst of touring through Australia, No one on the show’s production team was aware of the allegations against her during filming. “Even today, I was having a rough day, I was sad and stuff earlier today,” she vented to host Tom Steinfort.

Lizzo Speaks Candidly About Her Emotions

“And I still feel like, for some odd reason, even if I’m having a bad day or if I’m going through something, people still get good from it,” Lizzo later added. It’s unclear if the things affecting the Yitty CEO’s mood at the time were related to her dancers, or if she had other things taking up space in her mind.

Lizzo may be losing thousands of Instagram followers amid the allegations about her coming to light, but at least one person is still definitely in her corner. Canadian popstar Grimes shared her thoughts on the ongoing drama with the “Special” singer, as well as what people have been saying about Doja Cat this weekend.
