What Does Megan Thee Stallion Say About Nicki Minaj On Her New Album ‘Megan’?

Megan Thee Stallion has the headlining new album release of the week with Megan. That’s bad news for Nicki Minaj, since some lines appear to be shots fired right at her.

What Does Megan Thee Stallion Say About Nicki Minaj On “Figueroa”?

The song’s first verse starts with, “P*ssy hoes on the internet / Using me to drive traffic,” before ending, “I’m a motherf*cking brat, not a Barbie / On go with any b*tch that wanna start it.” The Barbie line especially appears to be a pretty clear jab at Minaj, who has often used Barbie-related themes in her music and public persona.

What Does Megan Thee Stallion Say About Nicki Minaj On “Rattle”?

The opening verse begins, “I wanted everybody right here with me / But that was my fault, being too friendly / I was thinking everything was all good / But the whole time, you was my enemy /
Only time y’all n****s in agreement / Is when all y’all tryna go against me / Only time y’all weak hoes link up / It’s when another b*tch tryna get rid of me.”

Then, there’s speculation that the following line could be about either Minaj or Meg’s former best friend Kelsey Nicole: “Damn, b*tch, it been four years / Worry ’bout your man and your kid / Your life must be boring as f*ck if you still reminiscing ’bout sh*it that we did.”

What Does Megan Thee Stallion Say About Nicki Minaj On “Hiss”?

Hiss” has been out since January, so this is a track fans are already familiar with. Most notably, towards the end of the track’s opening verse, Meg takes an apparent swing at Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty. She raps, “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law,” seemingly in reference to Petty’s sexual assault allegations and failure to register as a sex offender in California.

Megan Thee Stallion Explains Why “HISS” Single Helped Her Depression

Megan Thee Stallion may be one of the most popular rappers in the world, but she’s had a difficult path to success. Her rise to fame coincided with a lengthy legal battle against Torey Lanez. The battle ended with Lanez receiving jail time, but a lot was said about Megan’s character that affected her self esteem. The rapper admitted that she felt ganged up on by the rest of the music industry as a result. She talked about this difficult period during a recent profile with L’OFFICIEL, and how the single “HISS” helped her get out of it.

Megan Thee Stallion told the outlet that she fell into a depression during the Lanez trial. “I felt so awful every day,” she admitted. “It was such a hard place to get out of. I don’t even want to care who hates me, really. What I should be focusing on is the love that I do receive.” The rapper said that this period helped her develop a thick skin. “That’s what I’m trying to get better about now,” she asserted. “Everything is not going to be great all the time. If I’m going to be here for the cheers, I got to be here for the boos.”

Megan Thee Stallion Felt Validated By The Song’s Success

It’s fitting that music was the thing that revived Megan’s spirit. The rapper was being attacked from all sides, including from Nicki Minaj. The two had thrown shots at each other previously, but it turned up a notch at the top of 2024. It was, in many ways, a precursor to the year of rap battles that we’ve had so far. Megan Thee Stallion put out the Nicki Minaj diss “HISS,” and it went straight to number one on the Billboard Hot 100. “Hiss” marked the rapper’s third number one single and first as a solo artist. It also was a shot of confidence at a much-needed time in her life.

“It felt good to finally be able to just talk my talk because I was in a place where I was so down, and I didn’t want to do anything to disrupt any kind of peace,” she opined. “I felt like, ‘Oh, Megan Thee Stallion, everybody hates you right now. Don’t you say a word. Just be quiet.’” “HISS” was also an opportunity to prove that she had what it took to go at the queen of hip-hop, Nicki Minaj, and come out the victor. This came as a surprise to even Megan herself. “I absolutely did not know it was going to do all of that,” she told the outlet. “I had no clue that was going to happen. It felt like everybody was kicking me when I was down.” If that’s not a remedy for depression, we don’t know what is.

Megan Thee Stallion Reveals How Women Rappers Are Expected To Carry Themselves Compared To Men

Megan Thee Stallion’s years in the public eye have taught her some lessons on the best ways to be. That’s one of the things she discusses in a newly released interview with L’Officiel. In the piece she shared some advice for female rappers and also revealed how she arrived at the philosophy she now follows. ““For female rappers, there’s a line that you don’t want to cross. You want to be Miss Congeniality, you want to be well liked by everyone. You want to be the baddest, you want to be the best, but you want to do it the right way,” she begins.

While it’s evocative for Megan to claim there’s a “right way” for her and her contemporaries to act, it’s not what it seems. She opened up further on her philosophy of trying your hardest to be yourself because no matter what you do, people will criticize. “I did have to learn that there is no right way. Whoever you are, be that. If you crazy, be crazy, if you nice, be nice. If you mean, be mean, if you sad, be sad. Whatever your lane is, just be that. Be your real true self,” Meg concludes. Check out her full interview with the publication discussing a variety of subjects below.

The Game Praises Nicki Minaj’s “Big Foot,” Argues She Beat Megan Thee Stallion In Their Beef

The Game is picking Nicki Minaj over Megan Thee Stallion following their recent exchange of diss tracks. Speaking about the beef during an interview with VladTV, Game argued that “Big Foot” was a better song than “Hiss.”

He began: “I like ‘Big Foot.’ You know what? I like when she said, ‘Get on the good foot.’ I thought that was like a good punchline.” On the song, Nicki raps: “Bad b*tch, she like 6 foot, I call her Bigfoot/The b*tch fell off, I said ‘Get up on your good foot’” From there, Vlad brought up Tory Lanez shooting Megan, to which Game responded: “Exactly, or did she? Or did she not? I don’t know. I mean, I wasn’t there and neither were you.” After Vlad reminded Game about “Hiss,” the rapper added: “The thing about Megan’s Law is, didn’t that offend somebody or something?… In rap beefs, if you can keep it about the person, it kind of gives you an edge so I gotta give that one to Nicki.”

Megan kicked off the feud with Nicki by seemingly calling out her husband, Kenneth Petty, on the song, “Hiss.” In doing so, she made reference to him being a registered sex offender. “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan/These hoes mad at Megan’s Law”,  she rapped. Nicki fired back on social media with several rants before dropping “Big Foot.” Check out The Game’s full comments on the feud below.

Megan Thee Stallion’s time in Japan for the 2024 Anime Awards has been a sight to witness. From her over-the-top costume changes and fun choreography collaboration, the “P*ssy Don’t Lie” rapper has been living it up. Yesterday (March 7), Megan dialed things up a notch with an interesting culinary experience.

While dining out, Megan recorded herself trying a shot of Habushu (or Habu Sake). Although Megan enjoys a great cognac every now and again, this liqueur was no ordinary adult beverage. In fact, the slithering wine shot was poured directly from a bottle with an actual dead snake in it.

The video captioned: “LOL should I show y’all all of the food/drinks I’ve been trying out in Japan ? 😂 I just had to taste this dang snake drink 😂,” had fans crawling in their skin.

As Megan tried the shot, she couldn’t help but feel conflicted. “I didn’t even know snakes had a taste,” she joked. “But that, that tastes like a snake.”

Lady Luck Saddened By Nicki Minaj & Megan Thee Stallion Feud

Lady Luck expressed her disappointment in Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion’s recent beef during an interview with AllHipHop published on Sunday. As someone who lost their mother last year, Luck found Nicki’s lyrics on the song, “Big Foot,” distasteful.

“I’m [a] diehard Nicki [supporter],” she said. “You already know that. I went to war for Nicki and all of that. I think that she’s super dope. That mom thing, that sh*t stabbed me in the chest. And even if she only said it once. Like, ‘B*tch, you’re lying on your dead mama.’ That’s a hard ass line. But to make it like a [repeated phrase]. You know I love Nicki. I guess they say all is fair in battle rap and that’s why I’m not into that because that line, it’s rough, man.”

From there, she discussed rap battles in general. “What happened to battle rap?” she asked. “I’m not talking about Nicki and Megan right now, but battle rap in general. What happened to y’all being nice? Better metaphors and all of that. It became the tea and who can tell the other one’s personal business more. And that’s not rap to me.” Check out her full comments from the interview with AllHipHop below.

Megan Thee Stallion’s Celebrates Her Birthday with Artsy Photo Collection

GGaBomPaAAAGrgF

Megan Thee Stallion is STUNNING. Hip-Hop’s resident Hot Girl released a series of images celebrating herself. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME,” Thee Stallion wrote.

Recently, Megan Thee Stallion once again hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. This time, it’s Hot Girl Meg’s first solo chart-topper.

Hiss” follows “Savage” with Beyoncé and Cardi B’s “WAP” in Thee Stallion’s #1 history to become the 1,163rd single in Hot 100 history.

According to Luminate, “Hiss” debuted with 29.2 million streams in its first week, 2.9 million radio airplay audience impressions and 104,000 downloads sold from January 26th to February 1st. The single claimed the top positions on the Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales charts. This achievement marks Megan Thee Stallion’s fourth number-one on Streaming Songs, following her hits “Savage” (one week at No. 1), “WAP” (10 weeks), and “Body” (one week), all in 2020. Additionally, she achieved her fourth No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart with “Savage” (three weeks), her collaboration with Cardi B on “WAP” (two weeks), and “Bongos” (one week last September).

Concurrently, “Hiss” also debuted at the top of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts, which utilize the same methodology as the Hot 100. This marks Megan Thee Stallion’s third No. 1 on each chart. Previously, “Savage” and “WAP” held the top spot on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for two and 10 weeks and on Hot Rap Songs for three and eight weeks, respectively.

Megan Thee Stallion & “HISS” Fail To Crack Billboard Top 10 A Week After Going Number One

Megan Thee Stallion’s “HISS” is one of the biggest hits of 2024 so far… but there’s only one problem with its chart longevity. It has a lot of subliminal disses and created a moment, but since much of the hype surrounding it is about these feuds, the beefs dying down in the headlines means that the song doesn’t have the same replay value. At least, that’s what Billboard reflects, as the track fell out of the Top 10 this week. Now, it’s populated by the mainstays as of late: Zach Bryan, SZA, Jack Harlow, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Luke Combs, Doja Cat, and more.

Of course, a lot of the conversation around “HISS” surrounded the true ignition of beef between Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj. The latter absolutely popped off on Twitter when this record dropped, going on a social media rampage for three days before dropping her response, “Big Foot.” No matter which side you’re on in this debacle, you can’t deny that either release had a lot of potential to stay on the charts for long. There’s nothing wrong with making a moment out of a song; it just means that you won’t have the same effect as you would with a song catered to be a re-playable and long-lasting effort.

Megan Thee Stallion’s “HISS” Falls Out Of Billboard‘s Top 10

But the question still remains: did Megan Thee Stallion (or Nicki Minaj, for that matter) need to stay on the charts for the song to make its impact? The Houston MC still hasn’t responded to “Big Foot,” which is likely because of all the success she found with “HISS.” Although some folks like The Joe Budden Podcast doubt that it was an organic No. 1 smash, her fans think that she took the dub here. Barbz think otherwise, obviously, so maybe one more round is what could really settle this.

That aside, a lot of people are still talking about this beef and these disses, including femcee Saweetie, who had a great and nuanced take about female rap beef. As such, Billboard doesn’t mean a thing; “HISS” stamped itself into the history books and into public consciousness. But it means little if what follows it, such as an album, doesn’t result in a compelling, well-crafted, and intent-driven experience. On that note, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Megan Thee Stallion.

Megan Thee Stallion’s “HISS” Going No. 1 Wasn’t Organic, According To “The Joe Budden Podcast” Hosts

Even with all the forces conspiring against her, Megan Thee Stallion successfully achieved her third career No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier in February. “HISS” not only allowed the Houston-born hottie to air out her feelings surrounding the drama that’s been circulating her for the past few years but also broke the internet largely due to her mention of “Megan’s Law,” which offended Nicki Minaj.

Supporters who have been running up streams on “HISS” since it first dropped weren’t surprised to see the diss track debut at the top of the prestigious list. Still, there are skeptics – particularly among The Joe Budden Podcast co-hosts – who have questions about the authenticity of Thee Stallion’s rollout. “I’m not here to sugar coat it, we could see through certain s**t,” one person on a recent episode of the popular internet show argued. “It’s the same fight that Nicki been talking about, the machines, and the manufactured diss.”

Tokyo Toni Accuses Nicki Minaj & Megan Thee Stallion Of Faking Their Beef

The response to Megan Thee Stallion’s new track “Hiss” has been nothing short of explosive. Nicki fired back in full force on X as well as on her own diss track, leading countless fans to feel as though they must pick one of the femcees to side with. Out of the gate, Blac Chyna’s mother Tokyo Toni was riding for Nicki, even laughing in the faces of Meg fans who approached her on the street. Since then, however, it appears as though Tokyo has had a change of heart. In a new clip, she delivers a message to both Nicki and Meg.

“I got the f*cking phone call, b*tch,” she begins. “Both of y’all b*tches. I got the motherf*cking phone call, b*tch, and the recording that y’all was bullsh*tting. That y’all two b*tches did that sh*t for streams. Yes, you did, b*tch.”

Tokyo Toni Livid On Instagram Live

Tokyo Toni didn’t stop there, however. She went on to call out Nicki for working with Lil Uzi Vert, calling him a “satanist.” Tokyo says that she’s “disgusted” with the two artists for allegedly fooling her with a fake feud, shouting at the camera and making it clear that she’s fed up. This isn’t the first time Nicki and Meg have been accused of fabricating their differences for publicity, however.

Shortly after “Hiss” dropped, it was reported that the Barbz had gone to Meg’s mother’s grave with intentions to desecrate it. Joe Budden weighed in on the shocking reports, calling it nothing but a “nasty” PR stunt. What do you think of Tokyo Toni’s take on Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj’s beef? Do you think she’s right about it being fake? What about her claiming that she got phone calls that confirmed this?
