Jack Harlow Might Be In A Love Triangle In A Preview For His Upcoming Super Bowl Ad

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. No, not that time — the time we get a slew of new, over-the-top commercials featuring our favorite actors, artists, and athletes pitching already ubiquitous products, all timed to air during the biggest football game of the year (which almost nobody watches for the actual football). We’ve already heard some buzz about Cardi B and Offset’s lovey-dovey spot for McDonald’s, but now, the trailers are finally hitting the net.

And as depressing a prospect as it is for television advertisements to have preview trailers, we’ve gotta look for some fun in the bleak times we’re living through. And you know who’s been having a lot of fun recently? Jack Harlow. The Louisville rapper blew up in a big way just before the pandemic and he hasn’t shown any signs of slowing up yet. Naturally, his stardom makes him an excellent pitchman — he also has an appealing, laid-back charisma and goofy sense of humor that lends well to that sort of thing — so he’s been recruited to sell everything from basketball kicks to fried chicken.

In his upcoming Super Bowl ad, he’ll be graduating to corn chips, as he munches on Doritos in the back of a limo while paparazzi ask him about a potential love triangle. We’ll have to wait for the big game to see how it shakes out, but Jack acquits himself well here and ensures we’ll at least be seeing a lot of him on TV this year, even as he heads to Vegas for a month-long residency.

Dr. Dre Victorious After Marjorie Taylor Greene Deletes “Still D.R.E.” Video

After coming down swiftly on Marjorie Taylor Greene, Dr. Dre reigns victorious. The Rap icon wasn’t happy when he learned that far-right conservative Greene used his classic track “Still D.R.E.” Greene is a controversial political figure in the U.S. from Georgia who has often perpetuated unsubstantiated QAnon conspiracy theories. She has also spoken at white nationalist rallies, further cementing her political infamy.

Recently, Greene found her name being mentioned among Hip Hop circles. She emerged on social media in a promotional video with Dre’s 2001 hit. Quickly, the Aftermath mogul’s team fired off a cease and desist letter.

“I don’t license my music to politicians, especially someone as divisive and hateful as this one,” Dre said in a statement. He also called out Greene for not following the proper legal avenues to license music.

“It’s possible, though, that laws governing intellectual property are a little too arcane and insufficiently populist for you to really have spent much time on,” the statement continued.

“We’re writing because we think an actual lawmaker should be making laws not breaking laws, especially those embodied in the constitution by the founding fathers.”

It seems Greene and her team got the message because they sent a reply, and the video has been removed from social media.

Moneybagg Yo & GloRilla Trade Bars On “On Wat U On”

CMG’s star pupils, Moneybagg Yo and GloRilla, linked up for a brand new banger titled, “On Wat U On.”

As Moneybagg prepares for his follow-up to A Gangsta’s Pain, the Memphis rapper came through with his new single “On Wat U On” ft. GloRilla. The new single finds the two channeling the spirit of a bickering couple who remain together, despite infidelity issues.

Drumgod, YC, and Skywalker OG hold down the trap-centric piano-laden production. An exhilarating backdrop for the boiling tensions between Moneybagg Yo and GloRilla’s characters in the record. Though the two deliver a conversational back-and-forth on the hook, in a way that’s reminiscent of Kendrick Lamar’s “We Cry Together,” they hold down their respective verses with criticism of the other. “Know I love you, bae, our problems go away when my dick in you,” Bagg raps on the record.

GloRilla delivers yet another shining performance on the song. As a clear candidate for Rookie Of The Year in 2022, she continues her hot streak alongside Bagg. She delivers a verse that’s complementary to Moneybagg’s while showcasing their clear chemistry on wax. “I be bustin’ out the windows, got ’em switchin’ up his cars,” she raps. “He won’t find shit in my phone but them lil’ pictures of his card.”

Moneybagg Yo and GloRilla’s “On Wat U On” marks their first collaboration together. Last year, Bagg unveiled a slew of hit records like “See Wat I’m Sayin” and “Rocky Road” ft. Kodak Black, which appeared on CMG’s compilation project, Gangsta Art. In December, he delivered “Quickie” sampling Lamont Dozier’s “Prelude.”

Check out the new single below.

Quotable Lyrics
She like, “Ew, you do too much”
I replied, “You don’t do enough”
Even when we be into it, I can still pull up and fuck
Walkin’ straight up out the house, you say I never hug and kiss you
Tryna see me every weekend, damn, I need space to miss you

Jim Jones Criticized The YSL Members Who Accepted Plea Deals In The Young Thug RICO Case

As the controversial racketeering trial against Young Thug and his YSL crew proceeds, more observers are sharing their opinions on everything that has happened in the case so far. The latest is Harlem rapper Jim Jones, who shared some of his thoughts during an interview with Atlanta’s DJ Univercity on the latter’s podcast. Specifically, he called out the members of YSL who accepted plea deals in exchange for their freedom ahead of the trial; they include Gunna, YSL co-founder Walter Murphy, and Young Thug’s brother, Unfoonk.

Faced with the possibility of incurring double-digit prison sentences due to their connection with YSL Records, these members accepted so-called “Alford pleas,” in which they maintained their innocence and did not offer up any specific information, but pled guilty to lesser counts (mainly racketeering) and had their sentences commuted to time served, allowing them to leave Fulton County Jail without bond. This means they are obligated to appear in court if called as witnesses but reserve their ability to exercise their Fifth Amendment rights. Unfortunately, this can make it appear that they agree YSL is a gang — which is, of course, the prosecution’s whole strategy in extending these offers.

It can also give the appearance to outside observers — especially those not particularly well-versed in criminal law — the impression that they “snitched” in order to avoid longer sentences. Each member to accept a plea has maintained that their cooperation was limited to pleading guilty and that they won’t testify if subpoenaed. That didn’t stop Jim Jones from criticizing them and comparing their circumstances to his own brushes with the law.

“From where I come from, taking a plea when you have co-defendants is really not the thing you supposed to do,” he said. “If you up against a case by yourself and sh*t like that, that’s something different. But when you’re taking a plea it’s a touchy thing.” He continued, “I can say this: None of my n****s took a plea. They all in jail right now doing the time. They accepted what they did, they accepted who snitched on them, they accepted it all, and they all sat down and did their time… Nobody tried to take a plea, nobody tried to go around. N****s even went to trial — they did everything they could but do that.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Support For Ukraine Continued In Kalush Orchestra’s ‘Shchedryi Vechir’ Video

Shortly after Russia invaded Ukraine last February, Arnold Schwarzenegger posted a nine-minute video to “reach my dear Russian friends” and educate them on “terrible things you should know about.” The Austrian action-movie icon and former California governor relayed what his Nazi father had experienced during World War II as a cautionary tale. Predictably, Russian state TV did not like it. But, Schwarzenegger won’t be silenced as the war in Ukraine rages on.

Ukrainian rap group Kalush Orchestra shared the video for their single “Shchedryi Vechir” on Wednesday, January 11, and it begins with a voiceover from Schwarzenegger: “And that is a great message for all Ukrainian people, especially now in this very, very difficult time. That everyone can have a dream, and you can make this dream become a reality.”

Kalush Orchestra’s YouTube description of the video further contextualizes, “Yo, when we were in the US on tour, we shot a video for one of our songs. We didn’t even think that it would be such a cool video. We used to run through these streets in the game [Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas], and now we made our own interpretation of Shchedrivka there, + visited Arnold Schwarzenegger.”

The end of the video features a cameo from Schwarzenegger simply saying the song’s title, which translates to “Generous Evening.”

Kalush Orchestra has contributed significantly to their home country during this horrific time, according to their Instagram post from December 30.

The group summarized a “very productive” 2022, which included raising 60 million in Ukrainian hryvnia and spreading Ukrainian music across “half the world.”

Stephen A. Smith Urges Ravens To Do This With Lamar Jackson

Stephen A. Smith is easily one of the most recognizable faces on sports talk television. He always comes through with the hot takes, and he does so in an entertaining fashion. Overall, he is largely responsible for carrying ESPN’s programming over these last few years.

There have been plenty of hot topics in the sports world as of late. This is especially true now that the NFL playoffs are on the horizon. In fact, one team people are looking at is the Baltimore Ravens who are going up against the Cincinnati Bengals. However, they are going to be without Lamar Jackson, and Smith had some thoughts on this.

Stephen A. Speaks

Stephen A. has always had some very strong opinions about Lamar Jackson. Simply put, he loves the Ravens quarterback. However, he believes the Ravens should just straight-up trade him. With their contract dispute in mind, Smith believes it would just be simpler for the Ravens to get rid of their QB.

“Let me be clear. Lamar Jackson is an electrifying talent that I want on my team any day of the week,” Smith began. “If you’re the Baltimore Ravens, clearly there is difficulty in getting him inked to a long-term deal. […] I would strongly look into what assets I could get for Lamar Jackson. Because I could get the house for this brother.”

A Lamar Jackson trade would be wild for numerous reasons. There is no doubt that the haul the Ravens would receive would be incredible. Although, it still remains to be seen what will happen here.

Let us know whether or not you agree with Stephen A. in the comments section down below. Additionally, keep it locked to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates from around the sports world.
