Everybody is talking about Beyonce this week. The main reason is that she released her new album COWBOY CARTER which saw her collaborating with stars like Miley Cyrus and Post Malone. It also saw her covering classics from artists like The Beatles and Dolly Parton. The album has unsurprisingly received massive acclaim from fans and critics alike. And with seemingly perfect timing, Bey was given a special award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards this week.

She became the most recent artist to receive the show’s Innovator Award. She joins Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift and even more big names who have taken home the award in the past. During her acceptance speech she thanked many of the people who have helped her channel her creativity along the way. Most notably she thanked Jay-Z, who earlier this year called out the Grammys for having never given Bey the Album Of The Year award. But that wasn’t the only news she made the night of the show. Jennifer Hudson shared a picture of her and Bey backstage alongside a message congratulating her. “I am so happy I got to be there to cheer on my Dreamgirls sister as she received the @iheartradio Innovator Award!!! 💜 Congratulations on such a well deserved recognition! Love u @beyonce !!!” her caption reads.

The projections for COWBOY CARTER are predicting an incredibly impressive first week debut. The album is currently projected to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 with nothing else coming even close. An updated estimate revealed that the project could sell as many as 400k copies in its first week. It’s expected to smash the record for biggest sales week of 2024 so far, set by Future & Metro Boomin just last week. Beyonce To Be Honored With An Innovator Award From iHeartRadio

Beyonce is already one of the most acclaimed artists in all of music. For decades now she’s been a part of some smash hits and even more critical darlings. Her previous album RENAISSANCE managed to be both raking in massive acclaim from critics and spawning multiple hits. Later this month she will release the sequel COWBOY CARTER which already has a mega-hit under its belt with “TEXAS HOLD EM’.” Just a few days after the release of the album the iHeartRadio Music Awards will take place in Los Angeles, where she’ll be given a special award.

The media company just announced that Bey will be the recipient of their 2024 Innovator Award. She follows hitmakers like Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, and U2 who have won the award in the past. They also revealed that Ludacris will be doing double duty as both host and performer during the award show. He joins Justin Timberlake, Green Day, TLC, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, and Tate McRae in the roster of performers.

Beyonce Getting A 2024 Innovator Award

Earlier this week, Beyonce unveiled the album cover for COWBOY CARTER. While it very much fit with the visual theme of RENAISSANCE some fans found it controversial that she so prominently displayed the American flag. Recognizing the controversy she quickly also released the special edition cover. That second piece of album art also proved to be controversial though. Erykah Badu took to her Instagram story to accuse Bey of copying her hair in the cover.

Both singles released from COWBOY CARTER were met with major acclaim. “16 CARRIAGES” and “TEXAS HOLD EM’” were dropped together last month following a surprise announcement during the Super Bowl. The latter has been a massive hit reaching the top spot on the Hot 100 and still lingering in the top 10 more than a month after its release. How To Watch The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2023 Concert Special

The 2023 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour staged 11 concerts across the country between November 26 and December 16, hitting up the Kia Forum in Los Angeles and Madison Square Garden in New York City along the way. The oscillating lineup was headlined by the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Nicki Minaj, SZA, Jelly Roll, Usher, Niall Horan, Sabrina Carpenter, OneRepublic and more.

Pop Crave posted on X (formerly Twitter) that the show “opens with an Olivia Rodrigo performance” alongside a 26-second video snippet of Rodrigo backstage before “her first time performing at the Jingle Ball,” which would have been on December 1 in Los Angeles. Rodrigo also performed at the iHeartRadio Z100’s Jingle Ball 2023 at Madison Square Garden in New York City on December 8 — one day before serving as the musical guest on SNL. (It’s unclear where the video originated from.)

How To Watch The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2023 Concert Special

The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2023 will air tonight, December 21, beginning at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. According to iHeartRadio, the TV concert special will feature performances from Cher, Olivia Rodrigo, SZA, Niall Horan, Sabrina Carpenter, OneRepublic, AJR, Doechii, Jelly Roll, Big Time Rush, Melanie Martinez, Paul Russell, and Pentatonix.

Beginning on Friday, December 22, the full special will be available to stream on Hulu or on demand.

Additionally, according to The Hollywood Reporter, there are also options to stream it via services like DirecTV Stream or Fubo. THR also relayed that “the show will include celebrity appearances, however, from Jimmy Fallon, Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, Tate McRae, Dixie D’Amelio and others.”

Nicki Minaj has been busy promoting her forthcoming album, Pink Friday 2. It’s due out on her birthday, December 8, which, yes, is this Friday, but it appears Minaj needs every second between now and then to put on the finishing touches. Minaj was scheduled to perform tonight, December 4, at iHeartRadio 103.5 KISS FM’s Jingle Ball 2023 Presented by Capital One at Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, but she had to prioritize Pink Friday 2.

“Hi guys, I have to tell you something,” Minaj wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Sunday, December 3. “One last thing. Hope it doesn’t make you sad. I won’t be able to perform[ing] tmrw in #Chicago for Jingle Ball. I was so excited to see you guys. Pls accept my sincerest apologies. I’ll make it up to you on the Chicago stops of my tour early next year. Details to come.”

Minaj continued, “HOWEVER!!!!! My beloved brother/boss stepped up for me so that I wouldn’t have to push my album back. His name is Lil Wayne AKA the GOAT. He will perform tmrw @ the Chicago show.”

Minaj additionally specified that she is still on par to perform as previously scheduled on Thursday, December 14, for iHeartRadio Power 96.1’s Jingle Ball 2023 Presented by Capital One at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. She will also now perform in Miami for the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour finale at Amerant Bank Arena (Fort Lauderdale).

Nicki Minaj has announced that Lil Wayne will be replacing her at the 2023 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball concert series in Chicago on Monday night. Taking to Twitter on Sunday, she confirmed the change while promising that her new album, Pink Friday 2, will still be dropping later this week.

“Hi guys, I have to tell you something. One last thing,” Minaj began. “Hope it doesn’t make you sad. I won’t be able to perform tmrw in #Chicago for Jingle Ball. I was so excited to see you guys. Back in November, she teased that the album will reveal one of her “best kept secrets.” “Last night when all the world was sleeping, I was up…missing you…a painful amount of missing you…listening to the intro track on #PinkFriday2…I wrote it for you,” she wrote in a candid post. “On Dec. 8th…when the clock strikes 12, one of my best kept secrets & proudest moments will be unveiled.”

Rick Ross Trolls DJ Envy As Feds Deny IHeartRadio Raid

The FBI has denied reports that they conducted a raid on the offices of iHeartRadio in connection with a real estate fraud case involving DJ Envy. Envy’s lawyer told TMZ that the story of federal agents raiding the building and removing electronics was simply “continued sensationalization” by the media to keep Envy’s name connected to the case. However, a source who spoke with the outlet claimed that federal officials were present at the radio network’s offices to inform Envy of the arrest of his business partner, Cesar Pina.

Meanwhile, Rick Ross couldn’t help but take another shot at Envy, as has been the case many times over the last few months. “15 names on one piece of land, 14 n-ggas gonna take the stand,” Ross spat on Instagram. The bar is a direct reference to the charges that Envy has been connected with. Given the wide-ranging nature of the fraud, which centers on an undeveloped apartment complex, there is going to be no shortage of testimony at an eventual trial.

DJ Akademiks Clowns Envy

However, Ross isn’t the only person going in on Envy. Akademiks, never one to shy away from a sticky situation, questioned why anyone would trust Envy with financial matters. “How do you let DJ Envy affect your financial decisions? Half the time I’m listening to The Breakfast Club, these n-ggas even can’t read what’s on the fuckin’ paper. No disrespect to none of those people up there. I really like them. But these n-ggas can barely read what’s on the fuckin’ Rumor Report. You think I’m giving them a million dollars? Fuck no, man. You crazy as hell,” Ak said earlier this week.

Furthermore, Ak wasn’t finished. “These n-ggas can’t pronounce shit, can’t read. And I’m giving- nah, hell no! You bring some n-gga who’s diabetic on here. The n-gga got 10X T-Shirts, thinking it’s 2003. The n-gga wearing Timbs, and the Timbs look like they’re squealing ‘Help me!’ Like, Jesus Christ! You gave that n-gga $800,000? It took you 20 years to get it, you gave it to him in 20 minutes? You might be the dummy! I’m sorry! You might be the dummy. That’s who I’m talking about, a ‘Donkey of the Day.’ I can’t feel too bad for you. Like, come on, bro. I ain’t gonna say I’m beyond getting got. But if you gonna get me, you gonna sound a lot smarter than me.”

DJ Envy & iHeartRadio Offices Investigated By Feds Amid Real Estate Scam Allegations: Report

In case you missed it, this morning, we reported on how DJ Envy’s business partner Cesar Pina was arrested in New Jersey. He was subsequently hit with wire fraud charges before being released on bond. Overall, this all stems from allegations that Pina was stealing money from real estate investors. He and Envy were hosting numerous seminars about investing in the real estate market. However, things fell apart when people began accusing Pina of taking their money and never giving it back.

As for Envy, he was never accused of stealing money directly. Instead, many are accusing him of introducing them to Pina, who then went on to steal the money. Due to Envy’s association with Pina, it would appear that the radio host is now under Federal investigation. According to a report from NBC, the iHeartRadio offices were visited by Federal agents who proceeded to take some electronic equipment with them. Just last week, Envy spoke on the case and proclaimed his innocence in all of it.

DJ Envy Awaits Investigation

“Let me explain some things,” DJ Envy explained “So Cesar and myself did seminars. Now, the reason I did these seminars is because I wanted to uplift my community. I wanted to teach my community about real estate. Things that I didn’t know when I was buying my first home. So I did these seminars and brought industry professionals to all these seminars, whether it was real estate agents from different markets, contractors, money lenders. I even brought Auction.com to actually show people how to purchase houses online. Now Cesar, if he took money, I wasn’t privy to it nor did I even know. But I do understand how people feel if they did give him money because I gave him a lot of money that I didn’t see a dollar of return.”

For the first time ever footage from all of the Jingle Ball events will be assembled into a TV special.
