Gucci Mane & Keyshia Ka’oir Relationship Timeline

Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka’oir have etched their names into the annals of celebrity power couples. Their relationship is a testament to love, growth, and unwavering support. Moreover, their journey from the early stages of courtship to the grandeur of their wedding has captured the hearts of fans and onlookers alike.

The couple has continued to thrive in their respective careers, with Gucci Mane releasing new music and Keyshia expanding her beauty and wellness company. Let’s look at the timeline of Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka’oir’s relationship. After all, it’s a love story that has overcome challenges and blossomed into an enduring partnership.

2010: The Beginning Of A Connection

Gucci Mane, born Radric Delantic Davis, and Keyshia Ka’oir, born Keyshia Watson, first crossed paths in 2010. The pair met on the set of Gucci’s music video shoot for “911 Emergency.” Keyshia is a model and a self-starting beauty and wellness entrepreneur. She was hired to appear in the video, leading to a spark that initiated the connection between the two.

Speaking to Fader, Keyshia admitted to being unsure of going out with Gucci Mane, but she eventually let her guard down and agreed to a date. The rapper, on the other hand, had fallen for her at first sight. At the time, Gucci Mane was facing legal troubles that would eventually lead to his incarceration. Despite the challenges ahead, the seeds of their relationship were sown.

Gucci Mane’s legal issues resulted in a prison sentence, but Keyshia remained steadfast in the rapper’s life. Throughout his time behind bars, Keyshia supported him loudly. She was pivotal in maintaining his public image and ensuring his brand remained strong. In The Autobiography of Gucci Mane, the rapper admitted putting Keyshia through hell while he was locked up. However, Keyshia endured through it all and stayed strong. Understandably, this period of separation tested the strength of their bond. However, it laid the foundation for the resilience that would define their relationship in the future.

2016: Gucci Mane Proposes

Gucci Mane was released from prison in 2016, marking a turning point in the couple’s relationship. Not only did he regain his freedom, but he also returned to a transformed life. Gucci wasted no time professing his love and commitment to Keyshia by proposing to her during an Atlanta Hawks basketball game. The grand gesture, complete with a dazzling 25-carat diamond ring, captured the attention of fans and the media. Keyshia joyfully accepted, and the public eagerly awaited the next chapter of their love story.

2017: Gucci Mane Weds Keyshia Ka’oir

The couple didn’t keep fans waiting on the edge long for the wedding bells to ring. In a lavish ceremony broadcast on BET, Gucci and Keyshia tied the knot on October 17, 2017. The “Mane Event,” as it was aptly named, was a star-studded affair attended by fellow celebrities and close friends. The wedding celebrated the union and showcased the couple’s style and opulence. Keyshia was adorned in a stunning couture gown, and Gucci looked sharp in his tuxedo. Both of them radiated joy as they exchanged vows.

Gucci Mane, B.G., And Mike WiLL Made-It Drop A “Cold” Single

Gucci Mane is wasting no time after the release of his latest record, Breath of Fresh Air. That project dropped on October 17 and now, we have a new single to check out. This one features production from one of his most frequent beatmakers, Mike WiLL Made-It. However, he also grabs a rap feature.

For the first time ever, the Atlanta legend taps B.G. for this brand-new single, “Cold.” Both of these rappers have something they can relate to. Each of them served some time behind bars. It seems Gucci and B.G. are celebrating being free from their sentences.

Gucci was freed in late May 2016 after a three-year bout. For B.G. it was a lot longer. He was the talk of the town after serving his time that lasted 11 years. Both rap convincingly over Mike’s signature trap beat. This also might be the best that B.G. has sounded on a track this year. Give it a try above.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single by Gucci Mane, B.G., and Mike WiLL Made-It, “Cold?” Is this track better than all of the new material from Guwop’s project Breath of Fresh Air? Do you need more collaborations with Mane and B.G.? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. ‘Rap Sh!t’: Here’s The Music You Heard In Season 2, Episode 1

'Rap Sh!t' 201 KaMillion as Mia
MAX

(WARNING: Spoilers for this week’s Rap Sh!t episode will be found below.)

The events in the first episode of Max’s Rap Sh!t season two, titled “Yield,” are soundtracked by songs that help to accentuate the emotions behind each scene. You can find a list of them below and details about the scenes the records were heard in.

Reina Reign — “Tongue”

We hear this record during the opening scene of “Yield” as Reina Reign, Shawna, and Mia are shooting a video for their remix of “Tongue.” The trio are in a pink-lit kitchen for a video and they’re all directed to show their sex appeal while working with kitchen items, something that Shawna struggles to get the hang of.

Shawna & Mia & Raedio — “Seduce & Scheme”

This is the theme song of Rap Sh!t. It plays around the 2:17 mark in “Yield.” The song originally debuted in the inaugural episode of Rap Sh!t and it was the first song Shawna and Mia made after establishing their rap duo. An official full-length version of the song was recorded in season one, episode two.

Raedio, Ben Reilly, Bryant Taylorr & Tim Gent — “Fish & Grits” Feat. Cam & China

This song plays around the 6:26 mark as Mia tries on some outfits for tour. She also discovers that her friend will not be able to watch her daughter Melissa for the full month she’s on the road. We then shift to Duke who meets with one of her top sex workers who warns her of future troubles and proposes that she watch the rest of the girls while Duke is on tour with Shawna & Mia.

Fana Hues — “Float”

Fana Hues’ Flora + Fana record can be heard around the 7:57 mark as Mia meets with her Melissa’s father Lamont to ask if he can watch Melissa for two of the four weeks she’s on tour. There’s some tension between the two following last season’s events, but Lamont agrees to prioritize Melissa and take care of her during Mia’s tour.

Ice Spice — “Bikini Bottom”

Ice Spice’s hit song “Bikini Bottom” plays around the 9:08 mark as Shawna, Mia, and Duke meet at Francois’ house ahead of the tour. It’s here that Shawna, Mia, and Duke learn that the duo will only be able to perform one song, their “Tongue” remix, during their slot as the opening act for Lord AK. Additionally, there’s no guarantee that Shawna, Mia, and Duke will make money. Despite Duke’s frustrations and objections, Shawna & Mia decide to still go through with the tour.

Enchanting & Gucci Mane — “Issa Photoshoot”

Around the 12:52 mark, this record plays during a going away party for Mia with her friends and family. The drinks are flowing but the tension between Mia and her mother is still high as her mother is upset that Mia won’t let Melissa stay with her while she’s on tour. Mia and her sister also share an emotional moment before Mia’s mother gives a drunken speech.

Jordan Ward & Joony — “IDC”

Jordan Ward’s Forward track plays as Shawna and Francois hang out in the latter’s pool around the 15:22 mark. The two play a game of Never Have I Ever and reminisce about the memories they had as a former music duo as well as the things that happened after they split.

Jacques Laine — “Little Haiti” Feat. Seddy Hendrix

We hear this song around the 17:11 mark as Mia takes a dive into the pool and Francois joins her shortly after. We then transition to Lamont showing up to Mia’s party with Throat Coat as a going-away gift for Mia’s tour.

Rayn Lenae — “Skin Tight” Feat. Steve Lacy

Ravyn Lenae’s Hypnos record plays around the 22:12 mark during an intimate moment between Shawna and Maurice. It comes after the two shared a toast ahead of Shawna’s tour where Maurice wished her luck and celebrated her accomplishments.

Jean Deaux — “JD’s Revenge”

This track plays to close episode one after Maurice meets with his friend Stanley to let him know that he’s been called in for questioning by the police concerning the fraud investigation that’s ongoing at the old hotel Maurice and Shawna worked at. Maurice assures Stanley that Shawna did not snitch on them to the police, despite not having any proof of that, and Stanley warns that he will throw Shawna under the bus if it comes to it.

New episodes of ‘Rap Sh!t’ are available on Max on Thursday at 3am EST/ 12 pm PST.

Gucci Mane-Affiliated Rapper Ralo Was Released From Prison After Being Incarcerated For Over Five Years

Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records has seen some truly rough times recently. Going back to 2018, the label has seen its roster depleted by incarceration and deaths. Rappers from the label who have been locked up include Foogiano, Hoodrich Pablo Juan, Hotboy Wes, Mac Critter, and Pooh Shiesty, while last year, Big Scarr died at just 22 years old.

However, despite those bleak conditions, there is some good news: Ralo, one of the first current 1017 rappers to be locked up, is home free after serving five years of an eight-year sentence. Ralo had been arrested in 2018, accused of trafficking over $2 million in marijuana, and due to both the vagaries of the broken justice system and the COVID-19 pandemic, languished in a variety of jails for nearly four years before even getting a court date in early 2022. He was credited for this time along with a year and a half for good behavior, hence his “early” release.

The 28-year-old was greeted outside the federal penitentiary by family and friends in a video posted online, beaming from ear to ear as he celebrated his hard-earned freedom

While it remains to be seen if he can pick up where he left off — his most recent mixtape 97 Months was released in April this year — the silver lining is that his onetime mentor Gucci Mane was able to recover from his own stint in prison and come back bigger and better than ever. If anyone has pointers on bouncing back, it’ll be him.

‘Breath of Fresh Air’: Gucci Mane’s Special Release, Featuring 2 Collabs With Young Dolph

Gucci Mane

Gucci Mane has pleasantly shocked fans with his latest album, titled Breath of Fresh Air, released on a significant date. This album also holds two collaborations with late rapper Young Dolph. With other notable collaborations featuring J. Cole, DaBaby, 21 Savage, and Key Glock, Gucci continues the musical partnership that has now become a heartfelt […]

Here’s Why Gucci Mane & T.I. Had Beef

When Gucci Mane chose Breath Of Fresh Air as the title for his newly released album, he meant it. The 24-track double-album features several artists, such as 21 Savage, Lil Baby, J. Cole, Roddy Ricch, and the late Young Dolph, but T.I.’s surprise appearance at the Gucci Mane & Friends concert at Atlanta’s The Tabernacle on Tuesday (October 17) was, in some ways, more notable.

As seen in videos circulated by longtime hip-hop journalist and Rap Radar host Elliott Wilson, Gucci Mane teed up Tip’s appearance as doing “something special for the city” and showing everyone that their beef is firmly behind them. T.I. performed “24’s.” At one point, Gucci Mane and T.I. verbalized their respect for each other and sealed it with an on-stage dap.

In the wake of this feel-good moment, outlets such as HipHopDX and Vibe retraced the origins of Gucci Mane’s now-squashed beef with T.I. Most everyone agrees that it started in 2012 because T.I. aligned with Jeezy, another long-standing rival of Gucci Mane’s. Then, in April 2018, T.I. took to Instagram to dispute Gucci Mane’s claim about inventing trap music.

“Ok,so…. AGAIN for the slow ones in the back…,” T.I. captioned a screenshot of the Wikipedia page for his 2003 Trap Muzik album. “August 19th,2003 Birth of Trap Muzik & Only fools dispute facts!!! FOH wit that Christopher Columbus ass… ‘Look what I discovered, even though they was already here’ ass sh*t!!!! WITCHO GOOD CAPPIN ASS”

“A source close to the situation tells TMZ Hip Hop both superstars have long moved past their previous round of diss exchanges from years ago,” TMZ relayed on Wednesday (October 18). “They both were co-headliners for the recent Legendz Of The Streetz tour and mended the fences, which didn’t take much doing.”

TMZ’s reported timeline matches up with T.I. naming Gucci Mane and Jeezy to his Mount Rushmore of trap music with AllHipHop in August. Not to mention, in July 2020, T.I. and Jeezy expressed their desire to call a truce with Gucci Mane for the sake of trap music.

Gucci Mane And T.I. Put Their Rivalry Behind Them At His Latest Show: Watch

The longstanding beef between Gucci Mane and T.I. has finally come to an end. This all went down last night (October 17) at Guwop’s show in Atlanta. It took place at The Tabernacle, according to HipHopDX. It was to recognize the release of his brand new album, Breath of Fresh Air which also came out yesterday. Gucci has not released a solo project since 2021, which is a fairly big deal considering his constant output. While most people might be a bit more familiar with his and Jeezy’s beef, T.I. has also not been seeing eye to eye with him either.

However, it seems that things are back to normal. Gucci brought out T.I. at one point during the show. The two embraced onstage by dapping each other up. This led right into Tip playing one of his classic hits, “24’s.” He got the crowd going as they sang most of the words. Gucci let him have the stage to himself for the performance.

Gucci Mane And T.I. Make Up

Shortly after the song ends, both come in front of the crowd to publicly acknowledge things and bury the hatchet. It is hard to make out what they are saying but the two look to be at peace with each other. The arguing began back in 2012 with Gucci saying he started the the trap subgenre. T.I. responded in total disagreement saying that his ’03 album, Trap Muzik started it all. Gucci thanked his friend on his IG Story saying, “Much respect @Tip” with the chilly face emoji.

What are your initial thoughts on Gucci Mane and T.I. reuniting on stage together after this long beef between them? What do you think changed for these two? Is this one of the best feel-good moments in rap this year? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Gucci Mane Unleashes 24-Track Project “Breath Of Fresh Air” Featuring J. Cole, Lil Baby, & More

One of the founding fathers of trap rap is back with their brand new album. Gucci Mane delivers a massive project with plenty of familiar faces. The title, Breath of Fresh Air, is a little bit misleading. Guwop, while a respected legend no doubt, is not really bringing anything new to the subgenre.

The rapper has put out tons of massive albums and mixtapes. In fact, this is his 16th album to date. On top of that, the beats are what you come to know him for as well. Gucci really is not turning a new leaf with this record.

Listen To Breath Of Fresh Air From Gucci Mane

There are still some standout songs in the tracklist, however. You have J. Cole and Mike WiLL Made-It on one of the singles leading up to the release. “Glizock & Wizop” with Key Glock is another fun listen, too. But, it just is not anything new or enticing for trap. Especially, with it containing 24 cuts and over an hour in length, its another bloated tape more than anything else. Still give it a listen above.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new album from Gucci Mane, Breath of Fresh Air? Is this the rapper’s best project excluding mixtapes? Who had the best feature performance out of everyone? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this.
