Lil Yachty Reveals What Drake’s “For All The Dogs” Sounds Like

Lil Yachty is someone who is well-connected when it comes to the world of Drake. Overall, he has become good friends with the artist, and he always seems to have the inside scoop on the inner workings of all things Drake-related. Of course, Drizzy is going to be dropping For All The Dogs on September 22nd, which is 15 days from now. Fans are extremely excited about this, and there is no doubt that an amazing project is on the way. That said, fans are curious of how it is going to sound.

Consequently, Yachty decided to give fans what they wanted on his podcast. “It has the most, I would say like the most ‘performance’ album he’ll have, as far as like energy,” Yachty says. “I think some of the best Drake verses that I ever heard are on this album. … Some of the verses I’m just like, ‘Bruh, what’s wrong with you?’ You know what I’m saying? People gonna have a lot to say about some of his topics on this album. And I don’t think he does it on purpose, I think it’s just him—he just has a real…I will say he deals with some controversial things.”

Drake Dug Into The Archives To Finally Confirm His ‘For All The Dogs’ Release Date

Drake has been teasing his forthcoming album For All The Dogs all summer, beginning with a QR code placed in select newspapers in late June. Him talking about the album has become something of a staple on his shows during his and 21 Savage’s ongoing It’s All A Blur Tour. On August 21, Drake revealed that his five-year-old son, Adonis, drew the album’s cover art. Most recently, on Wednesday, September 6, photos circulated online of Drake wearing various multi-colored clips in his braids, and fans took it as him relaying the album’s release date as September 22.

That night, Drake verified their collective hunch.

Drake posted an old video to Instagram of his father, Dennis Graham, performing in Memphis, Tennessee, for Stormy Monday With Dennis Marks while casually smoking a cigarette. Along with his band, he covered Albert King’s “Crosscut Saw.” Drake captioned the video, “FOR ALL THE DOGS SEPTEMBER 22.”

Drake will also perform his second of back-to-back It’s All A Blur Tour shows at Desert Diamond Arena on Wednesday night, so prepare for more For All The Dogs anticipation-building. On September 22, Drake will celebrate the long-awaited release during his It’s All A Blur Tour stop at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. See all of the remaining tour dates here.

Drake Reveals “For All The Dogs” Release Date

Drake has been teasing a new album called For All The Dogs over the last few weeks. Overall, there has been a lot of misinformation circulating about the project. For instance, many thought that the album would be released on August 25th. However, that day came and went without an album. This led to Drizzy letting the fans know that the project would be dropping soon. Fans were very much excited about this, and there has been anticipation for a release date, every since.

Last night, Drake was wearing some jewelry in his ear that spelled out the date 09/22. Of course, this stands for September 22nd. Fans were very curious as to whether or not this was a real clue or simply a decoy. Plenty of interesting theories were being floated around today, and the anticipation of a real announcement had been building. Well, just moments ago, Drake announced that his new album, will indeed, be dropping on Friday, September 22nd.

Drake Is Finally Dropping

The video that accompanies this announcement is of his father Dennis Graham. In the video, Graham is performing some music with a band behind him. The footage appears to be from the 90s, and he is referred to as “Cousin Dennis.” Overall, it is some very cool footage to bear witness to, and there is no doubt that Dennis will be a huge inspiration for this album. As for the direction of the project, no one knows what to truly expect. All we know is that it is going to sell exceptionally well.

Drake’s ‘For All The Dogs’ Release Date May Have Been Revealed With A Little Help From The Rapper’s Braids

Take the following news with a grain of salt. We may finally have an idea of when Drake’s new album For All The Dogs is scheduled to come out. While previously speculated dates turned out to be very wrong — and we were admonished that we should really know better by Lil Yachty, of all people — people just can’t help but try to predict Drake’s moves like whodunit fans trying to guess the murderer before the investigators figure it out.

This time, the clues come in the form of some fascinating hair decorations. Drake’s been sporting braids lately, and was seen backstage at his latest It’s All A Blur show with a collection of brightly colored number barrettes dangling from them. There’s a zero, a nine, and two twos, which fans have interpreted as “09/22” — i.e. September 22, the possible release date for Drake’s hotly anticipated eighth studio album.

If the project should drop on September 22 as conjectured by fans, that gives Drake a little over two weeks to drop a single or reveal the tracklist and features for it. So far, the only things we know for sure are that his son Adonis drew the cover art and his longtime friend Nicki Minaj is set to appear on it. It looks like we’ll see whether the album is really due on 9/22 sooner or later, but Drake’s fans may want to hold off on getting too excited until he explicitly states when the album is dropping.

Drake Appears To Tease “For All The Dogs” Release Date With Cryptic IG Post

Drake may have just teased the release date for his upcoming album, For All The Dogs, with a cryptic post on Instagram. On his Story, Drake shared a picture of the back of his head and astute fans have noticed that the numbers 0, 9, 2, and 2 are beaded into his hair going downwards. This could represent the date September 22nd, which, being a Friday, would make sense as a release date for new music.

Drake has been hyping up an announcement of the release date for For All The Dogs for months at this point. While in New York, earlier this summer, he described it as being just “weeks away.” Then in August, Amazon Music appeared to leak August 25th as a release date, but that day came and went with no new music. Most recently, during a concert at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Friday, the Toronto rapper promised to supply fans with more details shortly.

“I know y’all worried about this album. You think I’mma wait till, like, next year to drop this s**t. I promise you I’m not, I promise you,” he said at the time. “I got an album coming out called For All the Dogs. It’s — I know I say this a lot — it’s real close. I might give you the date in Vegas, maybe tomorrow night. I don’t know, I gotta go listen to it one more time. It’s coming. It’s coming real soon.” Check out Drake’s latest apparent hint at a release date for the album below.

Drake Says He Might Reveal “For All The Dogs” Release Date At Vegas Show Tonight

Drake’s For All The Dogs quickly became one of the most anticipated albums of 2023 upon its release date, and the mystery and anticipation behind its rollout has only added to that. Moreover, the Toronto superstar spent a lot of time during his ongoing “It’s All A Blur” tour with 21 S*vage addressing this project. Sometimes, he gave hints about features and how he feels about it, and other times, he spoke on its as-of-yet unknown release date. Even though it’s dropping soon, its previouscover art reveal left many fans thinking it would drop that week, and that wasn’t the case. However, now we’re going through that doubt all over again thanks to some recent remarks the 6 God made during his first Las Vegas stop of the tour.

Furthermore, Drake expressed that For All The Dogs is “real close,” and that he might drop the release date at his next Vegas show. This video comes from presumably his first stop on Friday (September 1), so maybe tonight’s show (September 2) will yield some results. Still, this isn’t anything other than speculation, as it’s hard to tell for casual fans and viewers whether this is even from that Vegas show. Perhaps the opportunity came and went, but fans are still holding out hope for tonight.

Drake Hints At Revealing For All The Dogs‘ Release Date Soon

Despite all this anticipation, it’s also very understandable that The Boy hasn’t dropped For All The Dogs yet. After all, he’s on a wildly successful tour that ran into technical difficulties, rescheduled and canceled dates, and brought on so much star power in the form of special guests. As such, it’s difficult to stay fully in album mode when you’re on the road, but if anyone can do it, it’s Drake. When you made that much money and that many headlines over pretty much anything, it’s a great press run to capitalize on.

Now, what remains to be seen is if For All The Dogs will come out during this tour or after. It would be nice to see the OVO mogul revitalize his joint trek with some new material to debut. On the other hand, we bet a full tour dedicated to this next project would make a load of cash as well. With that in mind, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Drake.

Will Nicki Minaj Be On Drake’s ‘For All The Dogs?’

With anticipation for Drake’s album For All The Dogs ratcheting up every passing day, there are certainly some fans wondering which of the Toronto rapper’s A-list friends will make appearances on the tracklist. While he’s had quite the run with 21 Savage lately, he’s also had some impressive runs throughout his career with the likes of Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and Travis Scott.

But there’s one artist he’s close with we haven’t seen him collaborate with for a long time: Nicki Minaj. While the two Young Money artists rose in parallel with each other, in recent years, they’ve worked together less than they did when they were starting out. So, understandably there are plenty of fans wondering whether they’ll reunite on one of their upcoming albums (Nicki’s Pink Friday 2 is due in November).

Fortunately, they’re getting some good news on that front. During an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Nicki revealed that she’ll have a guest appearance on Drake’s upcoming album. “You know, I have a song on Drake’s album coming out soon too,” she said. “I love the song so much. I’ll just say I really love the song. I know my fans are going to love the song. I know the world’s going to love the song. And that’s all I will say about that.” As far as whether he is planning to return the favor, Nicki joked, “Barbz, make sure y’all let Drizzy Drake know that Pink Friday 2 is coming out November 17th as well. And we are waiting on his contribution.”

Drake’s Rumored ‘For All The Dogs’ Track Has A Line About Young Thug Incarceration That Disappointed Fans

We know very little about Drake‘s upcoming album, For All The Dogs. While we have a title and an adorable cover art drawn by his five-year-old son, Adonis, we don’t have any idea of a release date, or a tracklist.

While rumored release dates have come and gone, Drake continues to tease For All The Dogs, noting that he’s still putting finishing touches on the album. However, a leaked snippet has made its way onto the internet.

https://x.com/kurrco/status/1697234180881420643?s=46&t=0B7rjHID1V3nNPkYMB-koA

Though the snippet has since been removed, fans quickly caught onto a line, on which Drake raps, “I should probably be in there with Thug and them.”

This likely alludes to Young Thug, who has been jailed for the past year, amid trials for RICO charges, along with several other members of the Young Stoner Life imprint. Many fans took to Twitter to express disappointment in the line, implying that Drake is attempting to put on a more tough image.

“Drake u are canadian,” said one Twitter user. “U are not about that hood life. Never was never will be.”

“Drake would lose his mind in there,” said another Twitter user, “idk what tf is wrong with him”

Drake has not commented on the matter, nor is it confirmed if this particular song will be on For All The Dogs.

Young Thug is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
