Meek Mill Says He’s Too Rich For Beef

Meek Mill says he’s done engaging in beefs because he’s too rich. He explained his reasoning in a post on Twitter, Saturday, stating that he’d rather help everyone he can than pick sides in other people’s feuds. He most famously went back and forth with Drake in 2015, but more recently called out Trippie Redd on social media.

“I’m too rich to choose side in beefs, real street n***s know that!” Meek wrote. “Ima source for the trenches … a source to money… resources … plugs …. I may post you help your brand! If we don’t have a direct problem don’t even think about what side I’m on ‘I’m on dream chasers’ side.”

Meek’s followers mostly understood where he was coming from with the post. One replied: “Pure facts it’s unwise to inherit other people’s beef!” Another wrote: “You don’t beef no one when you’re rich.. Tell ‘em meek.. DreamChasers.” Check out Meek’s full post on Twitter below.

Meek Mill On Avoiding Beef

Speaking of being rich, Meek recently revealed his keys to getting out of poverty on Twitter as well. “Being gangsta will get you hurt put in jail or killed …… being smart will get you out of poverty and your family and friends living better … it’s no comparison, being smart is the only solid way out the trenches… everything else is wide range life risk just to survive!” Meek wrote in a post, earlier this week. Tyla Shows Jennifer Hudson How to Do Viral "Water" Dance

Tyla hit The Jennifer Hudson Show and spoke about her viral hit “Water.” During her visit to the hit daytime show, Tyla and Hudson left the chairs of the talk show set up so the singer could show the Oscar winner how to do the viral dance. You can see it below.

Emerging artist Tyla has become a social media sensation, amassing over one million Instagram followers since her debut single, “Water,” made its way into the Billboard Hot 100 chart and ignited a viral TikTok dance challenge.

A recent study by NetInfluencer analyzed Tyla’s social media metrics, shedding light on the remarkable growth in her following since the release of “Water.” The 21-year-old artist’s Instagram following witnessed a meteoric rise of 1.5 million since the single’s launch on July 28th. This surge was primarily fueled by the viral dance challenge associated with the track, which attracted an impressive 600,000 new Instagram and 200,000 TikTok followers within the first month.

Tyla’s TikTok account, @Tyla_, saw a staggering 3.8 million new followers joining since August, leading to a significant spike in her estimated earnings per post, now reaching an astonishing $11,800.

“Water” entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart in October, further accelerating Tyla’s social media ascent. During this period, she acquired an additional 865,000 Instagram followers, surging from 1.4 million to an impressive 2.3 million followers, averaging 30,000 new followers daily.

This surge in followers has translated into enhanced earning potential, with Tyla now estimated to earn approximately $5,860 per sponsored Instagram post, based on her substantial follower count and an impressive 16.19% engagement rate.

“Rarely do you see a new artist make a worldwide impact such as Tyla, having already made a historic entry with Water, reaching the top 10 on the Billboard Global 200,” a NetInfluencer spokesperson said. “TikTok played a significant role in its success, with social media analytics revealing the singer rapidly gained followers and entered the global charts after going viral. This could lead other artists to try to replicate Tyla’s social media success, to which TikTok contributed greatly. It will be interesting to see what the singer does next to build on her rising fame”.

Notably, Tyla’s Instagram followers now include celebrities such as Naomi Campbell, Drake, and Chance the Rapper.

“Water” has cemented its place as one of the most popular songs on TikTok in the last 30 days, and with over 117 million Spotify plays, it can potentially earn the artist nearly $471,000, based on the average earnings per stream.

Tyla has carved her name into history as the youngest South African artist in over 50 years to grace the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Doja Cat Says She “Feels Free” After Losing Followers Over Recent Argument With Fans

Doja Cat says that she “feels free” after seeing hundreds of thousands of fans unfollow her on social media. The comments come after she reportedly lost over 250,000 followers in two days due to arguing with her fans online. All-in-all, she’s down 800,000 since the incident. The drama began when she took issue with her followers for calling themselves “Kitten” or “Kittenz.”

“Seeing all these people unfollow me makes me feel like I’ve defeated a large beast that’s been holding me down for so long and it feels like I can reconnect with the people who really matter and love me for who I am and not for who I was,” Doja Cat posted on her Instagram Story, Wednesday. “I feel free.”

Despite gearing up for the release of a new album, Doja recently admitted during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar that she’d be willing to take a break from music to explore acting as a possible career. She even admitted she’d like to try her hand at stand-up comedy. “[Stand-up] is something I’ve definitely considered,” she told the publication. “I actually went onstage recently with Craig Robinson. He’ll get on a piano and just play songs, but he’ll do it in his own Craig Robinson, funny-ass way. I would love to do movies that I believe in. I would have to stop the music for a minute. But I would be down to immerse myself in acting for a certain period of time. I love comedies and action films. I want to learn martial arts and be in a film like John Wick.”

As for the new album, she also revealed in the interview that the working title is currently Scarlet. She described it as “introspective,” but not “to where it becomes boring.” Doja has yet to give the project a release date but be on the lookout for further updates on HotNewHipHop.

Lizzo Loses Significant Number Of Instagram Followers Amid Sexual Harassment Allegations

The lawsuit against Lizzo alleging sexual harassment, body shaming, and other forms of mistreatment dropped like a bombshell in pop culture. In the few days since the news broke, a staggering number of social media followers put their foot down and rescinded their support. While this is understandable given the seriousness of the situation, it seems like the singer’s denial of these allegations hasn’t slowed it down. Moreover, since news broke of this lawsuit from multiple dancers in her team, the account lost over 123,000 followers, with over 80,000 doing so within the last 24 hours or so as of writing this article. The “Special” singer still has around 13 million supporters on the platform.

Furthermore, for those unaware, this comes amid a multi-faceted lawsuit against Lizzo from three former dancers. In addition, her dance captain Shirlene Quigley and the production company Big Grrrl Big Touring are codefendants in this case. Specifically, the allegations claim that the team forced suggestively sexual acts upon the dancers, body shamed them, and creating a hostile work environment. Still, in her response, the 35-year-old dismissed these claims and reversed the blame.

Lizzo On Tour In New Zealand

“I’m devastated after hearing these fabricated claims made against me,” Lizzo expressed on social media. “These are sensationalized stories from people I gave opportunities to. The allegations are as unbelievable as they sound. These former employees have already publicly admitted that they were told that their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional. Usually, I choose not to respond to false allegations but these are too outrageous not to be addressed. I’m hurt but I will not let the good work I’ve done in the world be overshadowed by this. I want to thank everyone who has reached out in support to lift me up during this difficult time.”

Meanwhile, it seems like these accusations might lead to the Detroit native facing trial. However, it’s very early in this legal process to know, and there’s a lot of information that fans still don’t know. As such, all signs point to this being a lengthy and impactful stage of her career and public image. Clearly, it’s already driving a wrench between her and fans. Benzino Demands LGBTQ+ Community Stop Flirting With Him

Benzino wants the LGBTQ+ community to stop flirting with him. In a series of since-deleted posts on social media, the 57-year-old explained that, while he’s an ally to the cause, he isn’t interested in men. The comments come after a trans woman named Shauna Brooks alleged that Benzino pursued a relationship with her in 2022. At the time, she leaked audio of phone calls with him. In response, Benzino claimed he is only attracted to cis women.

“Attention to all in the LGBTQ, abcd!!!” Benzino began in one of his new tweets. “I respect y’all’s movement and your decision to be who you want to be BUT STOP THE WEIRD SHIT WITH THE COMMENTS AND FLIRTING. I’M NOT FUCKING FLATTERED BECAUSE I’M NOT GAY!! RESPECT THAT SHIT AS I RESPECT WHO YOU ARE!!”

Benzino’s Response To His Doubters

When accused of lying about being hit on, Benzino came back with examples from Twitter. “Wtf I gotta lie to y’all for? Yall weird asf!” he captioned the screenshots. “There’s WAY more but twitter only allows 4 pics at a time.” He further complained about his followers on Instagram, reaffirming that he’s “straight.” “Fuck y’all mad at me for?? Cause I ain’t wit that shit?” he asked. “I know it ain’t all gays & not all gay men are disrespectful but it’s a lot who are, it’s been going on for awhile. I don’t wanna see that on my timeline. Just respect that. I’m straight, and idgaf about none y’all comments.”

When he was accused of dating Shauna Brooks, Benzino appeared on The Danza Project in April 2022 to explain why being thought of as gay makes him uncomfortable. “You never want to go through people thinking that you’re gay when you’re not,” he said at the time. “Like, I just, and people are like ‘Well if it ain’t true then you should…’ Man, fuck all thizzat. Like you don’t want to be accused of being gay. I just don’t want that, bro.”
