CHIKA & Freddie Gibbs Play “TRUTH OR DARE” On Hot New Single

While CHIKA is an undeniably impressive lyricist and storyteller, her talents have been previously overshadowed due to drama with other celebrities. Just last month, she sparked a viral debate online after lashing out at crying infants on the same flight as her during a Twitter rant. As fate would have it, the little ones are the grandchildren of T.I. and Tiny Harris, and anyone familiar with that family knows that they don’t tolerate disrespect.

In the weeks since then, CHIKA seems to have put the beef behind her and focused on her mental health, which she blamed for her outburst. As many creatives do, the 26-year-old has been channelling her feelings into art. On her second single of 2023, the quick-witted star connected with Freddie Gibbs to play a game of “TRUTH OR DARE.”

Prior to the infectious song, we heard CHIKA on “REQUIEM FOR A DREAM.” As for Gibbs, he’s faced his share of media controversy recently as well, markedly from his ex-girlfriend who claims that he got her pregnant and went ghost. His only other release so far in 2023 is a feature on BJ The Chicago Kid’s “Liquor Store In The Sky,” which has nearly 550K streams on Spotify.

If you haven’t already, check out CHIKA’s new “TRUTH OR DARE” single with Freddie Gibbs on YouTube above. Additionally, you can add it to your playlist on Spotify/Apple Music. Quotable Lyrics:

I’ll dare myself to be real without fear that I’ll say too much
F**k it, I’m sensitive
Then I get mad, I get passive, sarcastic
I know that I play too much, might hit the J too much
Sue me, I’m human, in flawed, I am fluent
A hot-headed b**ch tearful b**ch, d**n it, I’m humid

Sexyy Red DMs Chief Keef & Lil Baby, Twerks, And Throws Racks In “Looking For The H*es (Ain’t My Fault)” Video

Sexyy Red is enjoying her moment in the spotlight lately, revelling not only in the enjoyment of working with Nicki Minaj on “Pound Town 2,” but also appearing at the BET Awards alongside so many of our favourite artists. At one point in the evening, the rising starlet gave a performance in the aisles, with a very pregnant Chrisean Rock happily twerking on her as hip-hop’s finest cheered them on. While she didn’t have a new release for us this New Music Friday, Red did have a music video for one of her Hood Hottest Princess album that’s sure to catch your attention.

In the NSFW video for “Looking For The H*es (Ain’t My Fault),” we see the salacious spitter DMing both Chief Keef and Lil Baby, making it clear that she’s on a mission to find a man. Elsewhere in the clip, we see Red twerking and throwing racks while on the counter with friends before letting loose and getting ratchet during a pool party and at the club. “I’m so f**kin’ sexy, you can’t even fake it / Got that ni**a nuttin’ and I think his a** was Haitian,” are just some of her wild lyrics.

Sexyy Red Shares New Visual from Hood Hottest Princess

As Uproxx notes, “Looking For The H*es” samples Silkk The Shocker’s 1998 single, “It Ain’t My Fault,” earning Red tons of love from hip-hop heads. Her debut mixtape has brought in far more success than Red anticipated, including collaborations with ATL Jacob, Juicy J, Sukihana, and Tay Keith. It’s only the beginning for the controversial starlet, but fingers crossed she has more fire coming our way as she continues to grow as a creative.

If you haven’t already tapped into Sexyy Red’s Hood Hottest Princess album, be sure to do so at the link below. For those of you who have given it a listen, tell us your top three favourite titles in the comments. For more HNHH release recommendations, make sure to check back later this weekend.

Cardi B Seen Filming “Point Me To The Sl**s (Remix)” Video With Fendi Da Rapper

Cardi B’s debut album, Invasion of Privacy, won’t be easy for her to top. The New York native took home a Grammy for her work on the LP. Additionally, she connected with an incredible roster of collaborators, including SZA, Kehlani, Migos, Bad Bunny, and J Balvin. It’s been over five years since that project landed. After much delay, Cardi has promised that her sophomore effort is due to arrive in 2023. However, an official release date hasn’t been shared quite yet.

The only release we’ve heard from her this year was on Latto’s “Put It On Da Floor Again” this month. It’s already become a strong contender for the song of the summer. Other rap divas like Yung Miami, GloRilla, and Omeretta are already either teasing or releasing remixes to the track. As fans continue to eat that up, it seems Cardi has been hard at work on another joint effort that’s sure to be stuck in our heads this summer.

Cardi B Jumps on Yet Another Remix

In a 42-second video circulating on Twitter, the “WAP” artist is on set of a music video. She appears with Fendi Da Rapper and a crew of others hyping them up. It seems Cardi has added a verse to Fendi’s “Point Me To The Sl**s,” which hit streamers back in December 2022 and has amassed nearly three million Spotify streams since. She looks confident while dancing in front of the camera, dropping it low like only she can in a tight blue outfit.

Just a few weeks ago, Cardi B didn’t hold back while ranting on IG Live about her plans for future collaborations. The mother of two shared at the time that she feels confident enough to pursue unexpected joint efforts instead of just jumping on things that are trending and sure to naturally gain traction. Read what Cardi had to say at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Rihanna Celebrates Historic Streaming Milestone, Nicki Minaj Drops A Freestyle In The Comments

It’s been seven and a half years since she dropped ANTI, but Rihanna has managed to keep her fanbase satisfied. The 35-year-old has dipped her toes into nearly every corner of the fashion and beauty industries. Not only does she have her Fenty Beauty/Skin collections, but there’s also her lingerie brand. Rih recently stepped down as CEO of the latter while awaiting the birth of her second child with ASAP Rocky. This likely proves that she intends to focus more of her energy on motherhood in the future.

The “Diamonds” singer has been travelling around the globe with her man, most recently landing in Barbados. On Friday (June 30), he was spotted outside filming a music video for what seems to be an upcoming single. Rihanna wasn’t on set with Rocky today, and it remains unclear when she plans to follow up her two contributions to the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack with more new music. Nevertheless, RiRi couldn’t help but celebrate when she surpassed a seriously impressive milestone to kick off the weekend.

In the comments, Nicki Minaj was quick to drop by with a freestyle for her friend. “Not Bad Gal billi / Poppin s**t like a wheelie / I mean poppin like a pilly, like a really / Man Down ‘cuz she making a killy,” her bars began. “SILLY! / Bout to be pushin out a new kid like Gillie / Caribbean girls run it and AWWLLL these b**ches know da dilly 🙄. Omeretta The Great’s “Put It On Da Floor (RettaMix)” Features Bars About Lil Baby, Boosie Badazz, And Gunna

Atlanta-based rap diva Omeretta The Great is causing a stir with some of the lyrics in her latest release. Of course, it’s not the first time she’s done so. Back in 2022, the rising starlet’s “Sorry Not Sorry” sparked a debate about which rappers are really from Atlanta. That discussion appears to have since been settled. Instead, Omeretta has moved on to rhyming about more timely matters, such as the YSL RICO trial.

More specifically, the 27-year-old got a few things off her chest regarding those who have been dissing Gunna. Countless leaders in the hip-hop world have renounced the DS4Ever artist after he took a plea deal, either through their words or actions. His recent a Gift & a Curse project seems to have won him back some favour, but still, Gunna is a long way off from the position he used to be in prior to his arrest.

Omeretta Enters the Chat With Her “Put It On Da Floor (RettaMix)”

“They talking bout Baby making disses, I guess he picking a side / But this Atlanta business, someone tell Boosie be quiet,” Omeretta spits over the beat to Latto’s “Put It On Da Floor.” Her bars continue with, “I heard that Durk all on the ‘gram tryna boost up his pride / He sending disses at lil Gunna when Lil Y be outside.” Naturally, the “RettaMix” is getting plenty of attention on social media, which is likely just what the “Love Me” artist wanted.

Blueface Explains Why Jaidyn Alexis Says The N-Word, Welcomes Her To His New “Milf Music” Label

As Chrisean Rock’s due date gets closer, her future co-parent Blueface seems to only be spending more time with his first baby mama, Jaidyn Alexis. The 26-year-old shares two children with his longtime lover, and while they’ve had issues of their own in the past, his current mission appears to be turning her into a recording artist. Blue has previously hinted at taking Alexis down a similar path he and Rock have ventured to bring in tons of money, and on Friday (June 23) he proved just how serious he is by promoting her first single, “Stewie.”

The song finds the mother of two clapping back at internet trolls who often compare her to the youngest of the Griffin siblings on Family Guy. It seems Blueface’s vision is even bigger than turning just Jaidyn into a star, as he announced a new label, called Milf Music, which he’s dedicating to signing only women with children. “You don’t have to be a rapper, I just have to see star quality in you,” he told his Instagram followers in a recent Story post.

Afterward, the California native made it clear that he values 10,000 hate comments more highly than 1,000 replies full of love. “The more hate the better,” Blue said. “I write the song for y’all, I write the music. We gon’ get this money! Ya dig?” he added, noting that songwriting talents aren’t necessary either.

As the internet continues to react to Alexis’ new “Stewie” single, many are wondering why she, a Mexican woman, is so comfortable using the n-word. “‘Cuz her kids are Black,” Blueface replied to one comment asking just that. The reply has earned him no shortage of backlash, but as he mentioned earlier, hate comments are nothing but money to him.

Twitter Reacts To Jaidyn Alexis’ “Stewie” Single

Blueface and Chrisean Rock are undeniably toxic for one another, though they do have a knack for making serious money together. As the tumultuous couple continues to grow further apart, the 26-year-old is trying his hand at turning his first baby mama, Jaidyn Alexis, into a star the same way he did with Rock. Blueface has been hinting at doing this for some time now, but many failed to take him seriously as his efforts always seem to be pulled back to his soon-to-be second co-parent.

On Friday (June 23), the “Thotiana” rapper shocked social media with an announcement of Alexis’ first single, “Stewie.” If you’re familiar with the mother of two at all, you’ve likely heard online discourse that compares her to Stewie Griffin from Family Guy due to the shape of her head, which she fully embraces on the short new song. “Welcome @jaidynalexxisofficial to my new label @milfmusic17. Her first track is out, “Stewie” produced by @fbeatgocrazyym” Blueface shared in an Instagram post this afternoon.

Elsewhere, critics didn’t hold back when sharing their thoughts. “I assume this is what you hear while entering the gates of hell,” someone speculated. “Say what you want about Blueface that nigga is an entrepreneur. He be making shit out of nothing 😂😂,” another pointed out.

Coi Leray Claps Back At 2021 “XXL” Freshman Cypher Critics: “Clearly IDGAF”

Thankfully for Coi Leray, being the daughter of a celebrity taught her plenty about life in the spotlight. She and Benzino haven’t always seen eye to eye, but the Boston native’s resilient attitude definitely comes from him. It’s only been a few years since her career first took off. Already she’s given us two LPs, the second of which hit DSPs today (June 23). Leray has been undeniably excited to share her work with the world. However, that doesn’t mean she didn’t have time to clap back at trolls on Twitter earlier this week.

Upon seeing a post declaring her 2021 XXL Freshman cypher as “the worst ever,” the “Blick Blick” hitmaker made it clear that she’s unbothered by the comments. “And the only one who Top 10 Global in the world right now with three songs on the Hot 100,” Leray cooly wrote. “This didn’t determine my journey, I always knew I was destined for greatness. Now look at me, swimming in hits, baby,” she continued.

Coi Leray Responds to Her Haters

From there, the black-haired beauty reminded some users to worry less about what others have to say about them. As for her? “Clearly IDGAF 🥰,” Coi finished her rant, earning a few thousand likes. As HipHopDX notes, she recently spoke with Ebro Darden on Apple Music about the polarizing cypher, admitting that freestyling isn’t her top strength. “I sit down, I started writing on pen and paper first of course, and then elevated to my phone and then on [my] laptop, just writing on the notes. But if I do freestyling, the most freestyle I’ll do is melody passes where I’m not even thinking,” she shared.

Elsewhere in the news, Coi Leray made a splash during fashion week earlier this month when she showed up to the Saint Laurent runway without a bra under her sheer black jumpsuit. She’s been known to turn heads with her outfits in the past, but this was arguably one of her raciest looks to date. Blueface’s Baby Mama Jaidyn Alexis Drops “Stewie” Single & Music Video: Watch

Blueface and his first baby mama, Jaidyn Alexis, haven’t always had a perfect relationship. Now, though, the 26-year-old is investing in his co-parent like never before. As the due date for his and Chrisean Rock’s first child together quickly approaches, he’s markedly continued to renounce his Cr*zy In Love co-star in favour of Jaidyn. Most recently he’s been putting in work to help her make a name for herself in the music industry. On Friday (June 23), Blueface surprised us with an announcement about his longtime lover’s first single, “Stewie,” which arrived alongside a music video this afternoon.

In the short new song, Alexis shares bars equally as salacious as we’ve heard from other female stars. She also makes it abundantly clear that she’s not phased by the hate coming her way. For some time now, the mother of two has been compared to Stewie Griffin from Family Guy, and rather than letting internet trolls get her down, she’s now using their insult to secure the bag. “I love the way you love me / It’s only ugly b**ches commenting I’m ugly (Is you blind h*e?),” she declares less than a minute into the song.

Jaidyn Alexis Shows Us What She’s Got on “Stewie”

“I’ll be Stewie for that money / My first song bump, and your coochie hella bumpy,” she continues, the disses only growing more ridiculous from there. Thus far the reaction on social media appears to mostly be embarrassment for Jaidyn, however, some of her fans are happy to see her channelling her energy into a more empowering medium than subtweeting.

Cardi B Paid $10K Out Of Pocket For “Bodak Yellow” Music Video In 2017

If there’s one thing Cardi B has always had for herself, it’s vision. The 30-year-old felt called to superstardom from deep within, and so she set her sights and began acting accordingly. Of course, there have been speed bumps along the way – both legal and romantic – but now she seems more self-assured than ever before. As she prepares to share her sophomore album (a follow-up to the Grammy Award-winning Invasion of Privacy), Cardi seems to be in a reflective mood according to a tweet shared on Tuesday (June 20) morning.

“Fun fact: I [spent] $10,000 on the ‘Bodak Yellow’ music video,” the mother of two revealed. Along with the tidbit of hip-hop history knowledge, she shared a throwback photo taken while filming the visual. While wearing an elegant, deep red dress and stiletto heels, Cardi sits on the hood of a luxury whip. While her beauty budget and the expensive car likely took up a lot of that money, several members of the Bardi Gang were quick to ask their favourite artist how much she paid for the leopard who appears beside her on-screen throughout the footage.

Cardi B Reflects on Past Hits

As Uproxx reports, Cardi previously shared her inspiration for “Bodak Yellow” during an interview with Billboard. “I wanted to do a song that is, like, ‘You know what? I’m in a good place in my life right now, and I want to stun. I felt it in my soul — this song is going to be so popping.”

Despite the New Yorker’s obvious enthusiasm about the single, her label reportedly wasn’t feeling it. Staying true to her own vision, Cardi got the funds together on her own accord to put the video together. It’s since amassed well over one billion streams and was Diamond certified by the RIAA in 2022 after selling upwards of 11 million units.
