Sydney Sweeney Recalls Her Dad & Grandfather’s Reaction To “Euphoria”

Sydney Sweeney says that her dad and Grandfather walked out of the room when they first watched her performance in Euphoria. Sweeney recalled their reactions during an interview on Sunday Today With Willie Geist.

“My mom visited me on set at the time, so she knew the story and I talked to her a lot about it — my dad didn’t,” Sweeney explained. “Yeah, I didn’t prepare my dad. At all.”

From there, Sweeney continued while laughing: “I mean, how do you bring it up in conversation? And also, when I talk to my dad, it’s usually not about work. We talk, like, father-daughter conversations. He decided he was going to watch it, without telling me, with his parents.” She added: “My dad and my grandpa turned it off and walked out. But my grandma is a big supporter of mine. She’s a big fan of mine. Actually, I bring her, usually, all over the world to my different sets and I make her an extra.”

She also explained why she chose to take on the role. “‘I think I tend to drift toward characters who might read one way on a page, and I like to find layers to that character,” Sweeney explained. “Finding the layers and just, the emotional depth to who she is and why she is, how she acts or how she thinks, she’s a beautiful, broken character.”

Sweeney will be returning for a third season of Euphoria, although HBO has yet to set a premiere date. It’s believed that new episodes won’t be released until at least 2025. The show’s costume designer, Heidi Bivens, previously teased to Vogue that the story will take place “approximately five years in the future” after the characters are out of high school. While most cast members will be returning, Barbie Ferreira, who played Kat, recently announced her departure from the show.

21 Savage And His Kids Rock Out In The Car

21 Savage was recently joined by his children for a performance in his car. They serenaded social media in a clip shared yesterday, which got a lot of love from fans. In the video, the family shared their renditions of songs by Toosii, Tems, and more. They also sang along to their father’s song with The Weeknd, “Creepin’.” Though it’s likely fans won’t get a chance to see 21 Savage’s kids perform live any time soon, they can catch the rapper on his current tour with Drake this summer.

“This just made my heart smile,” one social media commented in response to the sweet clip. Another called it, “too cute.” The rapper and his children also performed a version of Lil Durk’s “All My Life,” featuring J. Cole, which he recently shared his thoughts on. He gave J. Cole credit for his contribution to the song, writing, “Cole just went so crazy on that verse wtf,” in May.

21 Savage’s Family

21 Savage also recently made a surprise appearance at the Dreamville Festival in Raleigh, North Carolina. Drake brought him out onstage at the event, co-headlined by J. Cole. He performed “Knife Talk” and “Rich Flex,” and later shared behind-the-scenes photos from the fest of him with two of his children. “Dreamville was different,” he said in his post.

Drake and 21 Savage announced their It’s All A Blur tour in March, which features over 50 stops across the U.S. Drake revealed plans for the tour during a Twitch livestream, where he said, “Ah, man, I can’t wait to see the people.” He continued, explaining, “It’s like one thing to make the music but to see it is the most gratifying feeling. It’s different when you’re performing, you look out in the crowd, someone locks eyes with you and you can just tell it’s a moment.” At the end of last year, 21 Savage and Drake shared their collaborative LP, Her Loss, with fans.

Boosie Badazz Gifts His Daughter A Puppy

Rapper Boosie Badazz recently took to social media to share a sweet clip. The post shows him gifting his daughter with a puppy for her birthday. “WENT ALL THE WAY OUT FOR MY BABYGIRL,” Boosie captioned the post alongside laughing emojis. The clip shows Boosie pulling a small white puppy out of a gift box and handing it excitedly to his young daughter. She seemed to appreciate the gesture, quickly embracing the animal and looking cheerful.

Fans were quick to dote on the sweet post, with one user calling Boosie, “A FATHER‼” Another commenter added, “They can say a lot about Boosie…….but they can NEVER say he didn’t take care of his kids!!!” “The dog looked up at Boosie, like thank you! Boosie also recently opened up about an experience he had with his son’s hair during his appearance on The Breakfast Club. He shared that his son, unfortunately, decided he didn’t want a Boosie fade. “We have a choice to make this summer. You either cut it or you stay home,” he recalled telling the child. Boosie went on to go into further detail on the incident, telling him, “This is my time, bro. When you go back to school, when you go back out of town, you do what you want. But this is my time. When you get 18, do what the f*ck you want.” He continued, “But when you come for the summer – my two months – have enough respect for me to come as you are. Show your daddy that respect for what I put into this f*cking family. Bro, I cried. When I saw his hair, I cried. It hurt me so bad, bro.”

Boosie also recently shared his thoughts with DJ Vlad on rapper 6ix9ine receiving a bathroom beatdown. “[They’re] taking fathers and mothers away from their children,” he said about the rapper, “You know, there’s got to be some kind of consequence.” He added, “But, like I said: I like how 6ix9ine took it, bro. I ain’t lying. I like how he manned it out.”

Keke Palmer’s Son, Leodis, Makes First Red Carpet Appearance With Mom & Dad

It was just a few months ago that Keke Palmer bravely welcomed her first child, Leodis Andrelton Jackson, into the world. Already, however, the young boy is making is red carpet debut alongside his famous mother and her boyfriend, Darius Jackson. The couple stepped out for the closing night screening of her upcoming Big Boss visual album during the 2023 Atlanta Film Festival, both Leo and his father rocking all-black outfits for their first major public appearance together.

While the boys kept it casual with their looks, Palmer was as extra as ever in a cheetah-print jumpsuit that perfectly hugs her “new body.” As you may recall, the Jump In! starlet previously boasted on Instagram about how the months following pregnancy have seen major changes in her body. Specifically, she’s happy to see natural enhancements in her chest, hips, and booty area, which Palmer admits she lacked confidence in in the past.

While motherhood is obviously the main thing on her agenda at this time, fans are happy to see the Chicago native continuing her streak of keeping busy. The project was written and directed by Palmer herself, and will be exclusively available on KeyTV, YouTube, and Facebook on Saturday, the 13th.

Following that, she was honoured with a Vanguard Award from the Los Angeles LGBT Centre for her contributions to the queer community. Nicki Minaj can do it all. She’s a mother, an iconic rapper, an actress, and a businesswoman. Earlier this year, the Queen officially announced that she was starting her own record label. There wasn’t much news about it afterward, except for rumors here and there that she had signed Ice Spice. A few weeks ago, Nicki and Ice Spice released a collaboration called “Princess Diana.” It was originally a single from Ice Spice’s 2022 EP, but Nicki had been rumored to jump on it for a while. When it was released, fans noticed that “Heavy On It” was listed among the labels that distributed the collab. In addition, Nicki says the alleged label name at the beginning of the song. While she has yet to officially confirm the name, she did give a cheeky reply to one fan on Twitter who pointed it out.

Nicki Minaj also recently claimed in a tweet that she would be seated beside Prince Harry at King Charles’ coronation ceremony. The Queen has a reputation for trolling, and it now appears to have just been a promotional tactic for her new verse on the “Princess Diana” remix. Moreover, the children laid in Brown’s arms as he put on a goofy smile for the snap, and people gushed over their cuteness. Of course, this pic came amid the R&B star’s continued presence in the headlines for many more reasons. For example, many fans took note of his lewd and provocative choreography at Rolling Loud Thailand, which got fans either feeling sweaty or slightly uncomfortable.

However, a lot of discussion around Brown these days centered around his controversial collaborations, as well. One of these was “Freaky Friday” with Lil Dicky, who remarked on the race-swapping concept of the track and reckoning with Brown’s history of abuse. As a big fan of the “Yeah 3x” singer, Dave said that he felt touched by Brown giving him props, and said that song opened many doors for him. Meanwhile, the 33-year-old just let fans know that another collaboration is on the way, this time with Ciara. “ME AND @ciara got some [fire] coming,” he shared to Instagram.
