Metro Boomin Announces Show At The Pyramids After Twitter Hack Drama

Metro Boomin is going to Egypt. The super producer confirmed that he will be traveling to the city of Giza to perform at the Kundalini Grand Pyramids on April 30th. He unveiled the poster for the event on his Twitter, which was promptly reposted by the Kundalini Grand Pyramids and Live Nation social media accounts. The timing makes sense, given that Metro just released a collab album with Future, WE DON’T TRUST YOU.

Metro will join a short list of rapper/producers who have performed at the pyramids. Russ and the Black Eyed Peas have both performed at the Pyramids of Giza in the last decade, and Travis Scott was going to unveil his latest album, EUPHORIA, at the same location (which didn’t happen). Metro Boomin will be the first mainstream hip-hop artist to venture to Kundalini Grand Pyramids, however. It will also shift the focus back to Metro’s music after his beef with Drake led to an alleged social media hack. Hence the expression “in other words” at the beginning of the tweet.

Metro Boomin Will Perform In Giza For 1 Night

Metro produced the track “Like That”, in which Kendrick Lamar took shots at Drake. The producer’s phone was spammed with phone calls from Drake’s native Toronto, and his iCloud account was hacked. He claimed that the hacker tried to purchase $23K in Balenziaga merchandise and post inflammatory tweets under his name. One of these tweets took subliminal shots at longtime friend 21 Savage, which Metro dismissed outright. “Y’all shoulda known something was up then,” he wrote. “But negativity and bad news travels faster and further than anything else.”

Metro’s socials are under control, even if some fans are skeptical about the hack and the story the producer is selling. Regardless of what really went down, Metro is currently on a commercial high. The aforementioned “Like That” went to number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and WE DON’T LIKE YOU topped the Billboard 200. The producer has achieved this feat four times to date, and based on his decision to put on a solo show in Giza, we’d say the W’s are going to keep on coming.

Rick Ross & Drake Drama Leaves Joe Budden In His Feelings

Joe Budden and Drake have had a lot to say about one another lately, and not all of it has been positive. However, the former did share on a recent episode of his podcast that there’s at least one artist that he’d be sad not to see Champagne Papi in the studio with anymore. While chatting with his co-hosts, Budden spoke about the apparent drama that’s unfolding between Drake and most of his contemporaries right now, noting that he wouldn’t be bothered by a halt in collaborations between the 6ix God and Future.

“I wasn’t the biggest fan of What A Time to Be Alive so who cares if Drake and Future never record again in my book. If Rick Ross and Drake are not rapping together no more, this hurts,” the 43-year-old said. “This is impactful. No more ‘[Aston Martin] Music’?” Budden asked in disbelief. As HipHopDX reports, the main clue right now as to why Rozay unfollowed his long-time friend is a tweet from Metro Boomin urging hip-hop heads to “pick a side” after dropping We Don’t Trust You last month.

Joe Budden Wishes for Drake and Rick Ross to Resolve Their Conflict

The former correctional officer appears as a guest on the collab album from the renowned producer and Hendrix, which also includes Kendrick Lamar’s feisty “Like That” diss aimed at Champagne Papi. Rather than jumping in the booth to respond, Drake went low by sending VIP tickets to Ross’ ex, Cristina Mackey during a recent tour date, and has been hinting at crafting the perfect comeback to his newfound opps.

At this point, it’s looking like Drake is feuding with many of his past collaborators, though we still haven’t exactly pieced together why. Earlier this week the father of one fueled rumours that he and Travis Scott are on the outs by appearing to “shoot” at a prop of the Houston native’s head while performing their “MELTDOWN” collaboration. Read all about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Pusha T Laughs at Drake’s Mob Talk, Says Not a ‘Pinky Nail’ Touched Him

Pusha-T Claims 'They Won't Publish' a Children's Book He's Been Trying To Write For Years

Pusha T has reentered the chat. With a run of heavy hitters targeting Drake, The Boy’s No. 1 nemesis is laughing off his “Mob Ties.”

A user on X wrote: “I just wanted to point out that after all these years of mob talk from Drake, nobody ever laid a finger on

And Pusha T had time, writing back, “Not a pinky nail…🤣

In July 2023, Drake reignited the beef and drug King Push’s longtime friend Pharrell Williams into the drama.

Drake appears on Travis Scott’s UTOPIA album and goes right back at Pusha T, but references the historic chains he purchased that once belonged to Pharrell. Let Drake tell it; he melted them down already.

“Man, fuck all that spinning the narrative shit
I melt down the chains I bought from your boss
Give a fuck about all of that heritage shit
Since V not around the members done hung up the Louis
They not even wearing that shit”

– Drake

Drake purchased the Jacob & Co. skateboard pendant that Pharrell once wore frequently. It was part of an online auction and sold for $103K. Drake was then spotted with the chain in St. Barth’s and the “Jumbotron Shit Poppin” video. He is also believed to have purchased other pieces of Pharrell’s chain.

Drake was done with his jewelry purchases, promoting the single, The Boy showed off Tupac’s ring which soared past $1 million at Sotheby’s to promote the single.

Metro Boomin Refutes Claim That “Like That” Only Hit #1 Because Of Drake, Reveals His Phone Was Hacked By Toronto Number Shortly Before Album Release

It’s been a few days of good news for Metro Boomin and Future. Last week they released their highly-anticipated collaborative album WE DON’T TRUST YOU. The project came on the back of more than a year of teasing, so much so that it became a joke among Metro’s fans. But as the chart announcements are rolling out it’s been nothing but success for the record. Over the weekend it was announced that the project soared to a #1 debut on the Billboard 200. Not only did it hit the top spot, but it scored the biggest tracking week of the year so far.

But the album itself wasn’t the only thing to debut at #1. The track “Like That” also skyrocketed to the top spot of the Hot 100. That track was propelled by a Kendrick Lamar feature that had everyone talking after he took shots at both Drake and J. Cole. Some fans suggested that mentioning Drake is the only reason the song reached the number one spot, something Metro didn’t appreciate. He responded to those claims in an Instagram comment. “Album was going #1 regardless. There was gonna be a #1 single regardless. Get off d*ck that man don’t even know y’all” Metro’s comment reads. Check out his full response below.

Metro Boomin Refutes Fan Claims

In another unrelated post, Metro Boomin revealed some mysterious phone calls that he got shortly before the release of the album. “It all started 2 days before the album dropped and all these 416 numbers would call me back 2 back a million times. Got so bad I had to keep my phone on airplane mode,” his tweet read. It was attached to a picture of the calls he’s been receiving. Eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed the phone numbers all shared the area code of Drake’s native Toronto.

Do you think “Like That” would have still hit number one even if Kendrick Lamar didn’t mention Drake? Do you think Drake was somehow responsible for the phone calls Metro Boomin was getting? Let us know in the comment section below.

Drake Offers A Subtle Response After LeBron James Was Seen Rapping Along To Kendrick Lamar’s Diss About Him

LeBron James had a big game the other night, when his Los Angeles Lakers bested the Brooklyn Nets 116-104. He wound up with 40 points on 13-of-17 shooting from the field, including nine three-pointers (which ties a career high). Metro Boomin couldn’t help but notice that James’ big night came after the NBA star was spotted rapping along to Kendrick Lamar’s verse on “Like That,” a highlight from Metro and Future’s new album We Don’t Trust You.

That verse, of course, made waves when it first dropped for apparent disses against J. Cole and Drake. Drake caught wind of LeBron’s moment with the song and had a subtle reaction: He liked an Instagram post sharing the video.

This comes after Drake used Instagram to offer up with some took as other reactions to the song. In one post, he wrote, “They rather go to war with me than admit they are their own worst enemy [crying laughing emoji].” He said in another, “I could never sell ya’ll out to sell my latest work. Never do you bad out the blue but I’m down to make it worse.”

So, at this point, unless he’s saving it for a diss track or something, it looks like these subtle shots may be all we get from Drake in terms of a “Like That” response.

Sexyy Red Claps Back At Joe Budden’s Claims About Her And Drake With NSFW Video

Sexyy Red and Drake have formed one of the most surprising friendships in rap across the past few months. The breakout star of 2023 appeared on a song from Drizzy’s new album For All The Dogs. They were both joined by SZA on the track “Rich Baby Daddy” which became a breakout hit. Earlier this year they shared a video for the song where Drake and Sexyy pretended to be a couple to play off of her real-life pregnancy.

But during a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden has some comments about their relationship. In clips that made the rounds online, he claims that Drake must be getting paid to promote Sexyy Red and her music. He also jokes that the pair can’t possibly be hanging out so much because Drizzy likes it. Unsurprisingly, once Sexyy saw the comments she had the perfect response. “Tell @JoeBudden dis what drake like” she captioned a hilarious tweet. It was accompanied by a video of the pair performing “Rich Baby Daddy” on stage while Red twerks on Drake on stage. Check out her hilarious response below.

Sexyy Red Claps Back At Joe Budden

This isn’t the first response Red has given to Joe Budden’s recent comments. She took to Twitter earlier this week with a snappier response describing both of the podcast hosts as “dumb.” Budden doesn’t seem to have doubled down on his comments yet despite Red continuing to bring them up with clap backs.

Last month, Sexyy Red unleashed her new single “Get It Sexyy.” The song netter her the highest placement on the Hot 100 she’s ever gotten as a solo artist with an impressive debut inside the top 30. After debuting at number 23 last week the song slipped to number 28 this week. What do you think of Sexyy Red’s hilarious response to Joe Budden’s comments about her and Drake? Background

Born on December 5, 1999, SadBoi hails from Canada and is of Antiguan, Jamaican, and Indigenous heritage. She spent her formative years in Toronto’s Weston Road neighborhood, before relocating to Oshawa with her mother and sister following her parent’s divorce. Life wasn’t all roses for the rapper, however. During an interview with Trash Talk, she admitted to being bullied in middle school, and spoke about how it affected her personality.

“When I got bullied all through middle school, it affected me like going into high school,” she started. “Even now, I feel like I’m just now getting used to interacting with people. And it took me like so long but I never really realized how that affected me… People just bullied me because I was just like, I was just into different things. I dressed different… and I also did YouTube covers. And when people see me at school they’ll be like ‘oh you do YouTube covers and you dress like that? Weirdo.’”

SadBoi’s Musical Journey

SadBoi’s journey into music began early, as she entered her first singing competition at just nine years old during the Canadian National Exhibition. By 10 years old, she was already in the recording studio, laying down tracks. Moreover, by 11, she was creating her original songs. Embracing the digital age, she took to YouTube, sharing covers of songs by renowned artists like Beyoncé and Keyshia Cole, alongside her own compositions. Altogether, this marked the start of her artistic journey in the public eye.

SadBoi made her debut in 2017 with the EP Mood Ring, proving herself to be a force in the music scene. The EP subsequently went on to accumulate over two million streams on SoundCloud. Formerly known as Ebhoni, SadBoi later transformed, both in name and artistic direction, embracing a persona that embodies raw emotion and vulnerability. This evolution reflected her growth as an artist and her commitment to authenticity in her craft.

An Artistic Rebrand

In a conversation on the One More Time podcast, she delved into her artistic rebranding. “It was kind of like a moment where I think every artist kind of has this where they’re like ‘Damn something needs to change because something’s obviously not working,’” she began. “And you kinda go through this phase or this point where you’re like ‘Okay, I’m figuring out who I am, what I like and don’t like, and what I stand for and all that stuff. So, I just felt like I really didn’t fit anymore and I just felt like the biggest thing was like my artist name.”

Following her debut EP, she unveiled another EP titled X in February 2021. This was followed by a mixtape, Good Dick & Weed, in July 2021. Soon after, she released a few singles, including “Gyal Clown,” “Lie Lie Lie,” and “Slide,” which arrived at the top of last month. SadBoi’s music often delves into themes of love, identity, and self-discovery. This has quickly resonated with her growing audience, who appreciate her honesty and vulnerability. Furthermore, her soulful vocals, paired with hypnotic beats create an immersive experience that draws listeners into her world.

WATCH: Drake Sends Shots at Oversized Travis Scott Head on Tour

Travis Scott Joins Drake For 'Sicko Mode' During Toronto Tour Stop

Is Drake and Travis Scott‘s relationship on the rocks? The fallout from the shots fired by Future and Kendrick Lamar toward Drake on the We Don’t Trust You album continues.

In case you have been hiding under a rock, Kendrick Lamar released a verse that was hot, targeting Drake and J. Cole. After the release, social media recalled Travis Scott asking Future and Metro Boomin to play the then-unreleased song at Rolling Loud.

It seems kinda of sketchy, right? Mainly since the song contained a verse targeting his “SICKO MODE” and “MELTDOWN” collaborator. Then there is also the note that Scott is featured on “Type Shit” on the album.

With all of that said Drake may have responded. During the It’s All A Blur tour, there was a floating Travis Scott head prop. During The Boy’s visit to the Tri-State area over the weekend, Drake acted as if he was shooting Scott’s head, resulting in fireworks exploding around the figure. You can see the moment below.

As Drake embarked on his It’s All A Blur Tour alongside frequent collaborator 21 Savage, much of the attention he received was centered on his footwear for the tour. His unique sneakers got fans just what model he was wearing, as they didn’t appear to be any of his usual favorite Nike/Jordan models. He eventually revealed they were from his Nike-backed brand NOCTA; the shoes in question were the NOCTA x Nike Hot Step 2.

Nearly a year later, the shoes made their retail debut via the SNKRS app as a “Shock Drop” in the “Total Orange” colorway. They quickly sold out, but if you missed out on them the first time, there’s good news: The “Total Orange” Hot Step 2 is returning to SNKRS on April 4. They’ll be available on NOCTA.com on April 3.
