NBA YoungBoy Savagely Disses Lil Durk, DJ Akademiks & India Royale On Twitter

NBA YoungBoy just sent fans into a frenzy online by announcing his new mixtape Richest Opp, dropping on the same day as Lil Durk’s new album Almost Healed (this Friday, May 12). However, he didn’t stop there. Moreover, he went on a Twitter tirade where he dissed the Chicago MC, DJ Akademiks, Durk’s on-and-off-again partner India Royale, and even dissed his fallen friends. All in all, it was quite the combative and inflammatory set of statements, just when we thought they squashed their beef. Akademiks even responded to the call-out shortly after.

“@lildurk you a b***h & yo nasty a** h*e and it’s shown,” YoungBoy fired off on the social media platform. “And @Akademiks you a pure Fat h*e who mouth gone be the reason you from now on (“invalid”) #RichestOpp.” In separate tweets, he directed fire at Smurk’s deceased colleagues and at his flame. “@lildurk lol you ever realized you only get a buzz when one of your friends die? Think about it scary bum b***h you know I ain’t lying ha ha #fact. @indiaroyaltyy tell that p***y b***h he bet not drop he ain’t thang ‘pretty lady.’”

YoungBoy Goes Nuclear On Twitter

Of course, it’s not like Lil Durk was particularly responsive to the rumors that he and YB resolved their differences. In fact, now his answer has a lot more context behind it, as many interpreted it as him simply not speaking on it for clout. Furthermore, a reporter caught him on the street and asked him about DJ Akademiks’ claim that they put their issues behind them. “What beef? Who?” he replied calmly to the question. Meanwhile, the media personality’s response to YoungBoy dissing him was backhandedly understanding.

“Lol I never thought I see the day my homie diss me cuz his sales low,” he reacted. “This rap game is the devil lol. Youngboy I forgive u man. We can get them sales up otherwise… lol. But ok. Capitol Records I blame u for this… y’all pressuring YB to get some sales he doing anything. Get my boy off house arrest tho. YB the last rapper I thought would ever do some s**t for sales. But damn. Go buy his album it drops Friday… He’s tryna outsell Lil Durk. I still love him thc. Buy his project.” For the latest updates on this beef and more on YoungBoy, stay posted on HNHH.

DJ Akademiks Responds

Rick Ross Has Some Fun On The Water In Jamaica

Rick Ross seems to have enjoyed his time in Jamaica. Ross was in the country to perform at the Sandz Caribbean Music Festival over the weekend. Ross was one of the headliners at the festival. Additionally, Ross could be seen on social media taking in the many sights and sounds Jamaica has to offer. In addition to his music career, Ross is perhaps best known for his love of luxury items. However, that doesn’t mean the “hustlin’” rapper can’t enjoy more down-to-earth activities as well.

DJ Akademiks recently took to Instagram to share a video of Ross’s trip to the Caribbean country. The video shows Ross and two other men tubing while a fourth man drives the boat. Ross’s Jamaican adventure was clearly a success. There are many tourist attractions in Jamaica to occupy one’s time. But these activities often have little resemblance to the day-to-day life of Jamaicans. However, Ross was intent on getting an authentic Jamaican experience during his trip. Indeed, he held a press conference shortly after his arrival to discuss the activities he wanted to partake in. “I just want to absorb that real Jamaican vibe,” he said. “I let everybody know as soon as I land, I want to go by the best fish spot,”

Rick Ross Takes In Authentic Jamaican Experience

Additionally, Ross also discussed his desire go rafting in Jamaica’s famous waters. “I told them the next day I want to go ride water rafting, I want some real curry chicken and oxtails. I want live to life. We only have one life.” Elsewhere, photos were taken of Ross enjoying a drink on the beach. Other highlights from the trip include a humorous mix-up. One fan mistook Ross for fellow hip-hop superstar Drake. However, Rozay responded to the case of mistaken identity by claiming he and Drake are identical twins.

Furthermore, Ross clearly has an appreciation for Jamaican culture. In 2020, he collaborated with Bob Marley’s grandson, Skip Marley, on the track “Make Me Feel.” Additionally, last year, Ross was filmed trying his hand at a Jamaican accent during a recording session. Let us know what you think of Ross’ vacation, in the comments below.

DJ Akademiks went back and forth with a hip-hop journalist on Twitter, Tuesday. The user had accused DJ Akademiks and his fanbase of being “part of the fuckery,” to which Akademiks told him to “eat a dick.”

“If you’re following cats like DJ Akademiks, you’re a part of the fuckery and need to hold yourself accountable for the role you play in the preservation of fuck shit,” the user posted on Twitter. Akademiks then replied: “Shut up lil N***a. I made myself. Biggest platform cuz I grinded for it for 15 years. No one gave me shit that’s why I can tweet at peons like u to EAT A DICK.”

The user then replied back at Akademiks: “You corny, n***a. Your platform aint ever gonna cancel you out from being the lame n***a you are. You talk shit from behind a screen and be getting pressed by rappers. And I won’t/never will take away from your hard work, but doesn’t cancel you out from being a cancer to culture.”

“Sheesh! This the spice I like to see! Lmfaoooo tell that n***a,” one user responded to the back and forth. Another called out Akademiks: “Akademiks telling n****s to ‘eat a dick’ and never threw a punch in his life is actually hilarious”

The interaction comes after Akademiks announced that he’d be bringing his content over to Rumble. The Hip-Hop pundit spoke about joining the right-wing streaming outlet in a statement released on Monday. “I look forward to being one of the first to bring music and cultural conversations to a platform like Rumble,” said DJ Akademiks. “There have been many bad decisions at larger platforms where they haven’t put creators first and they are disconnected to the community. I feel now is an inflection point for streaming platforms. I couldn’t be more excited to lead this effort on a platform that puts creators first.” Akademiks’ first live stream on the platform will air at 6:00 PM, ET on Tuesday, April 11th.

Blueface Shows Off His Boxing Skills: Watch

Blueface is one of the most well-known rappers in the internet age. His ceaseless self-promotion has brought him considerable fame. His humor and unique style of rapping have made him a favorite on social media. However, while the rapper has many fans and admirers, his antics have also led to some negative attention. Much of the attention stems from his turbulent relationship with Chrisean Rock. While his music is the thing that catapulted him to fame, Blueface has shown interest in other endeavors outside of the studio. One of his biggest passions is boxing.

Blueface took to Instagram to show himself sparring with another fighter earlier this week. Judging by his reaction, he clearly enjoyed his time in the ring. “Good dog fight i love the contact,” he said. “I could do this shit all day.” The “Thotiana” rapper is no stranger to the squared circle. He has expressed his love of combat sports many times. In June 2021, he signed a contract with Bareknuckle Fighting Championship. The next month, he fought TIkToker Kane Trujillo in a special gloved match. Blueface went on to win the bout by a unanimous decision.

Blueface Challenges Rival To Fight

The Los Angeles native was also scheduled to fight NBA veteran Nick Young last September. However, Blueface was removed from the card shortly before the fight. Another fight Blueface has been keen to participate in seems unlikely to happen. The 26-year-old has repeatedly stated his desire to fight media personality and renowned provocateur DJ Akademics. Ak is a longstanding critic of Blueface which has led to a years-long beef between the two. However, Ak has declined the opportunity to fight his rival. He has stated that he would only consider fighting Blueface if he were offered at least $3 million.

Away from the ring, these are troubling times for Blueface. His toxic relationship with Chrisean has turned off many fans. Additionally, things got worse last year when Blueface was Charged with attempted murder. The charge stems from a shooting that took place outside a restaurant in Las Vegas. Overall, time will tell if boxing can be a positive outlet for the troubled rapper.

Akademiks Responds To Blueface Yet Again

Akademiks is certainly one of the more interesting figures in terms of the hip-hop media space. However, it is definitely true that not everyone is a huge fan. Overall, he has been accused of making light of very negative situations. Additionally, some people do not like the fact that he talks from behind the screen. That said, he still provides a valuable service to fans. He reports the news and he also provides entertainment to those who like his style. Sure, it may not be for everyone, but you can think of him as the Stephen A. Smith of rap.

Recently, Akademiks has found himself at odds with the likes of Blueface. Blueface has been in all sorts of drama as it pertains to Chrisean Rock. In the midst of this, Ak has been quite critical of Blue. This has led to a war of words on Twitter that has yet to truly subside. Furthermore, Blueface has even challenged Akademiks to a boxing match. The YouTube commentator has been less than thrilled about accepting such an offer. Based on some recent information, it seems as though Ak would be even less inspired to get in the ring.

Akademiks Speaks

In a tweet, Blueface revealed that in his last fight, he was paid $180,000. Subsequently, he would be looking to make more than that. This prompted Ak to respond on Twitter, saying “Lmao no way….. I see why u tryna get in the ring wit me. Boy I wouldn’t even look at the ring for less than $3 mil.” From there, Akademiks crafted another tweet in which he wrote, “Lemme leave BLUEFACE alone lol he been kickin knowledge lowkey. I finally just gave up and accepted him for a reality star.”

Based on this latest string of tweets, it would appear as though Akademiks is putting an end to this beef. He has no interest in continuing on with this Twitter feud, and it is easy to understand why. It hasn’t exactly been too productive. Let us know who you are siding with on all of this, down in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the music world.

[WATCH] DJ Akademiks Questions Why J. Cole, Drake or Kendrick Lamar Won’t Interview with Hip-Hop Media

DJ Akademiks 9 22

DJ Akademiks wants to know what’s up with the Hip-Hop elite not having a seat with Hip-Hop outlets. On his stream, Big Ak stated he believed that the culture’s large artists used the blogs and culture but won’t sit down for a proper interview.

“J. Cole and the rest of y’all big rappers, no wonder y’all get sh—ed on by Hip-Hop outlets. Y’all get so big in the game, they use the culture, and they use all these blogs. I don’t care if they do an interview with me. But I know a lot of journalists in the game, and they won’t speak up. And a lot of them still really hope to get an interview. I say f— all these n—as.”

– DJ Akademiks

Ak would double in it, providing J. Cole as an example. “J. Cole, when I see you doing some shit on ESPN, but you won’t do an interview with a n—a in the culture. You won’t hop on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, you won’t hop on motherfuckin Drink Champs. You won’t be with Joe Budden or something like that. I look at it as some weird siit.”

You can hear it from Akademiks below.

In the ESPN interview AK references, J. Cole sits with Bob Myers, General Manager of the Golden State Warriors. He mentioned his 2014 Forest Hills Drive was like winning a championship for him, not a Grammy.

“The making of this album I got called Forest Hills Drive, and the releasing of it and the tour, that was a championship run in the way that how the Bulls look at The Last Dance,” Cole said.

You can peep the full interview between Bob Myers and J. Cole below.
