Idaho Student Killer Remains At Large, Police Increase Campus Presence For Grad

The world continues to wait for more answers regarding the tragic slayings of four University of Idaho students last month. Surprisingly, the killer remains at large several weeks later. However, police are slowly but surely providing more updates to the general public as they work towards solving the mystery.

As TMZ reports, authorities have made it known that they’ll be increasing campus security ahead of the school’s upcoming graduation. Moscow PD Chief James Fry specifically told the outlet that he’s been beefing up the number of officers patrolling while families celebrate their special day.

During a Saturday (December 10) news conference, Fry made sure to warn everyone to stay vigilant. Additionally, he spoke about moving in groups and regularly keeping in contact with loved ones.

The murder investigation has gone unsolved for nearly a month now. It was November 13th when Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves were victims of a deathly stabbing at their off-campus housing. Another resident, Xana Kernodle, and her boyfriend, Ethan Chapin, unfortunately met the same fate.

Police have consistently been saying the weapon was a combat-style knife. Any suspect identities remain unknown, though names of those with clearance are making rounds. Among them are two surviving roommates who reportedly slept through the attacks.

Goncalves’ ex-boyfriend, Jack, is not a person of interest. According to previous reports, she and Madison made a total of 10 frantic calls to Kaylee’s former partner not long before they lost their lives.

Countless tips about the same student’s stalker made their way to the FBI as well, though those were unsuccessful in getting answers.

The most recent update regarding the investigation says that currently, police are hoping to speak with the occupants of a white 2011-2013 Hyundai Elantra. The vehicle was seen near the murder scene on that fateful night.

It remains unclear if the occupants are thought to be potential suspects or witnesses.

Earlier this month, one of the victim’s fathers spoke out with an interesting statement about the “means of death” not matching between his daughter and her late friend. Read more about that here, and check back in with HNHH later for more news updates.

Elon Musk Plans To Sue Twitter Employees Who Break NDAs And Spill To Media

The headlines surrounding Elon Musk’s chaotic takeover at Twitter have slowed down recently. However, a new update reveals that the CEO is having issues with his staff leaking private information to the media. As TMZ notes, the South African is responding by threatening legal action against anyone who breaks their contractual NDA.

Platformer editor Zoë Schiffer obtained a copy of the engineer’s correspondence with Twitter workers. She later directly shared quotes from it on her own profile. “NEW: Elon Musk is threatening to sue Twitter employees who leak confidential information to the press,” she wrote on Saturday (December 10).

“He’s asking staffers to sign a pledge indicating they’ve understood,” she went on. In the following thread, the journalist broke down what she read in the original document.

Musk’s email began, “As evidenced by the many detailed leaks of confidential Twitter information, a few people at our company continue to act in a manner contrary to the company’s interests and in violation of their NDA.”

“This will be said only once: If you clearly and deliberately violate the NDA that you signed when you joined, you accept liability to the full extent of the law & Twitter will immediately seek damages.”

The 51-year-old additionally let his staff know that “occasional slip-ups are understandable.” However, “breaking your word by sending detailed info to the media” with intentions of harming the website “will receive the response it deserves.”

According to Schiffer’s reporting, Twitter employees were given until 5 PM today to respond.

For his part, Musk has been posting commentary seemingly related to today’s events. “Twitter is both a social media company and a crime scene,” he penned on Saturday afternoon.

In his next post, the investor shared a meme. It surprisingly hints at him digging up some of the app’s “darkest secrets,” only causing more of a stir online.

Elsewhere in the news, Elon Musk’s brain implant company has been placed under investigation for potential animal abuse. Read more about that here, and share your thoughts on Twitter’s latest troubles in the comments.

Takeoff Murder Suspect Receives $5K From Judge For P.I.: Report

The DJ accused of killing Takeoff is determined to prove his innocence and Patrick Xavier Clark now has the chance to hire a private investigator. Clark and his attorney have denied the allegations against him as the Houston musician faces murder charges. Prosecutors claim Clark is the person who fired the shots that took the life of Takeoff. The rapper was attending a private event on November 1 with approximately 30 people when a verbal argument turned deadly. Police say Takeoff was an innocent bystander who wasn’t involved in the disagreement.

Meanwhile, following Clark’s arrest, he asked a judge to provide finances so he could hire a private investigator to work his case. NBC News reports the motion was granted and he will receive $5,000 to fund his efforts.

The outlet stated the P.I. agreed to take on the case, albeit at a rate under what they normally charge. The private investigator will also receive devices including a printer and laptop, provided by the sheriff’s office.

In a recent report by The Daily Beast, those who know Clark couldn’t believe that he is facing murder charges. The publication stated that Clark’s friends, who wanted to remain anonymous, believe the DJ is being “framed” for the crime. Clark’s lawyer also shared her client feels “nervous” and “concerned” because he insists he is innocent.

Another man, Cameron Joshua, was also arrested. However, it’s reported that he was taken into custody for having a firearm in his possession, not for the murder of the Migos rapper.

The investigation into this case was expected to be a quick one due to the number of people at the scene at the time of the shooting. Yet, police publicly stated they were struggling with moving forward because several witnesses were unwilling to cooperate with the investigation.

Young Thug Update: Prosecutors Move To Ban Video Cameras From Trial

As Young Thug remains locked up, there’s been a new update from his legal team.

A recently released report indicates that Fulton Country District Attorney Fani Willis has filed a motion to block video cameras from entering the courtroom.

This would prohibit visual recordings of the upcoming RICO trial. The D.A. previously made the filing on November 30.

The “Best Friend” rapper’s legal team argues that the prohibition of videos will help secure the safety of witnesses. Concerns have already been brought forward by some of those involved in the trial.

“Several witnesses have expressed safety concerns to the State and they are concerned about the safety of themselves and their families should they choose to testify,” says Willis.

Accordingly, the trial is proving to be a tricky one. In August, she and the rest of her team filed a different motion to restrict the release of juror identities.

Additionally, another file of a motion took place just a couple of weeks ago. This serves as an attempt to dismiss the use of the YSL artists’ lyrics within the case.

The unfair use of rap lyrics in court has been a recent topic of discussion. Consequently, judges across the country have caused controversy, deeming songs to act as admissible evidence within trials.

This process strips rappers from their freedom of speech. In addition, it problematically prohibits many from expressing their realities.

As a result of the backlash to lyrics being used to prosecute, California was proud to become the first U.S. state to ban their use in court.

Currently, several YSL rappers are awaiting their fate in a January trial. Both Thugger and Gunna have been previously denied bond three times.

Earlier in the year, the world was witness to the “DOLLAZ ON MY HEAD” collaborators being arrested along with other members of their crew. The indictment includes 56 counts of charges ranging from murder to gang activity.

Prosecutors allege that the music collective and its associates are actually gang members.

What are your thoughts on the latest filing from Young Thug’s legal team? Let us know below, and check back in with HNHH later for the newest updates in the trial.

Nick Carter Responds To Rape Allegation From Woman With Cerebral Palsy

As Nick Carter mourns the death of his brother, he now faces serious allegations of sexual assault. Last month, Nick’s younger brother Aaron Carter passed away just one month ago, and investigators continue to await toxicology reports. Meanwhile, a 39-year-old woman has sued Nick Carter for an alleged incident that she claims occurred in 2001 on a Backstreet Boys tour bus.

Shannon “Shay” Ruth with cerebral palsy and autism reportedly filed a sexual battery lawsuit against the music icon. She alleges that Carter raped her in Tacoma, Washington, after plying her with alcohol when she was 17 years old.

CNN reports in Ruth’s lawsuit, she states she was “picked out of a line of autograph seekers.” Then, she was invited to spend time with Carter on the tour bus. It was there that she says she was given “VIP juice,” assuming it was “cranberry juice and alcohol.” Ruth says she later learned she was diagnosed with the sexually transmitted disease HPV, or the Human Papillomavirus.

“The last 21 years have been filled with pain, confusion, frustration, shame, and self-harm that are a direct result of Nick Carter raping me,” she said during a press conference.

In light of the allegations, ABC has canceled their upcoming television special A Very Backstreet Holiday. Additionally, Carter responded to the accusation with denials.

“This claim about an incident that supposedly took place more than 20 years ago is not only legally meritless but also entirely untrue,” the singer said in a statement. “Unfortunately, for several years now, Ms. Ruth has been manipulated into making false allegations about Nick – and those allegations have changed repeatedly and materially over time.”

This isn’t the first time that Nick Carter has been accused of sexual assault. In 2017, singer Melissa Schuman also accused Carter of raping her when she was 15. He denied those allegations, as well. Carter’s late brother also publicly came forward to accuse the Backstreet Boys star of sexually assaulting multiple women. The siblings later reconciled before Aaron’s passing.

Brittney Griner Gives Update Following Prison Release: “I’m Happy”

Brittney Griner is finally a free woman. After serving 294 days in a Russian prison, she’s on her way back home to the United States.

Previously, the WNBA star made headlines due to her nine-year prison sentence for drug possession in the foreign country. She was arrested on February 17 for attempting to bring cannabis with her on a trip.

The sentence was not far off from the maximum that she was facing. Prosecutors had asked for a 9.5 year sentence in the trial.

Four months later, the 32-year-old is on her way back home after a prison swap got official approval.

President Joe Biden consequently made the announcement yesterday (December 8) via Twitter. In the photos, POTUS and Vice President Kamala Harris are seen talking with the athlete’s wife, Cherelle Griner, in the White House.

In a video of newly-released Griner en route back home on the plane, the Phoenix Mercury star looks undoubtedly thrilled. When asked about her mood, she simply responds “I’m happy” with a smile.

Rumours surrounding a possible prison swap in order to get Griner home previously began going around for a few months now.

The exchange between the U.S. and Russia was a one-for-one swap. Surprisingly, international arms dealer Viktor Bout was freed by the U.S. in order to bring Griner home.

In Russian footage, the world was witness to the trade taking place on the tarmac of a United Arab Emirates airport.

The Russian arms dealer has a gruesome nickname – “Merchant of Death.” Of course, this has sparked some debate about the fairness of the exchange.

Others have chimed in, suggesting that another detained American should have been freed instead of the WNBA player. Paul Whelan is a former U.S. marine, who was detained by Russian authorities in 2018.

Two years, later he was sentenced to 16 years in prison for his alleged involvement in an intelligence operation. However, he is still presently serving this time.

Nonetheless, the U.S. is standing by the swap. Officials are indicating that the country didn’t have a choice of which American to bring home.

Let us know your thoughts on the trade down below. Additionally, make sure to stay tuned to HNHH for the latest updates on Griner’s return home.

Friends Of Takeoff’s Alleged Killer Patrick Clark Think He’s Being “Framed”

A popular Houston DJ has been arrested in connection with Takeoff’s death, and now friends of Patrick Xavier Clark are speaking out. The Migos star was killed in the early morning hours of November 1 while at a private event. A verbal disagreement ensued, and sadly, Takeoff was shot and killed. Police stated that the rapper was an innocent bystander who was struck by stray bullets.

As Hip Hop continues to mourn the late star, the investigation into his death continues. Takeoff was in a room of upward of 30 people when he was killed, but police claim they are struggling with finding witnesses who will cooperate. Nevertheless, arrests have been made, but Clark has denied responsibility.

The Daily Beast reportedly also caught up with people who knew Clark personally, including rapper Jmali. According to the artist, DJ Pat wasn’t a violent person.

“You could see by the reactions of everyone that we’re shocked because that’s not the type of person [Clark] is,” Jmali said. “He was about business, not violence.”

“Pat was similar to Takeoff in that he was quiet and just went about his business,” the rapper added. “That’s why this is so surprising to everyone here.”

Additionally, a friend of Clark’s, who reportedly wanted to remain anonymous, told TDB they believed he was being “framed” for Takeoff’s murder. They also didn’t think Clark would “jeopardize” himself and his life’s work.

“I know him. He’s not like that. I honestly feel like they got the wrong guy,” a person told the outlet. “He doesn’t get mad or hostile. He’s very nice and thoughtful. That’s all I have to say. I feel he is being framed.”

Prosecutors believe otherwise and allege Clark wanted to flee to Mexico as the investigation heated up.

Cameron Joshua was also arrested in connection with the incident, however, he faces a firearm charge. Investigators don’t believe Joshua had anything to do with Takeoff’s death, but he has been tacked for “carrying a weapon illegally at the party.”

Feds Detail BMF Co-Founder Southwest T’s Alleged Involvement In Jam Master Jay’s Murder: Report

It’s been nearly 20 years since the death of Jam Master Jay, who was shot and killed at his recording studio in New York City. Still, officials are still investigating the case with hopes to secure a conviction.

According to reporter Frank Owen, there’s now interest in Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, who prosecutors want on the stand. Authorities reportedly subpoenaed the BMF co-founder due to his ties to Jam Master Jay. In court filings, they explained that they don’t believe BMF had anything to do with JMJ’s death. However, they allegedly uncovered ties between the Run DMC member and the drug trafficking organization.

It’s no secret that BMF had strong ties with the hip-hop community throughout its reign. It appears that Jam Master Jay was among those who were dealing with BMF in some capacity prior to the infamous drug bust. Early investigations alleged that JMJ’s murder was a result of a botched drug deal. However, new reports suggest that the DJ was selling drugs on behalf of BMF.

The reports claim that JMJ encountered money troubles in the mid-90s as his career began to slow down. As a result, he turned to drug trafficking and met Terry Flenory, who began fronting his work.

Prosecutors indicted Karl Jordan Jr. and Ronald Washington for the murder of Jam Master Jay in 2020. Now, prosecutors scheduled their trial for Feb. 2023. However, one of the “star witnesses” they want on the stand is Terry Flenory. Due to the information gathered by CIA and other federal agents, prosecutors believe Jam Master Jay intertwined with BMF’s drug empire. They believe BMG supplied the drugs that led to the fatal drug deal that left JMJ dead.

Southwest T was released from prison in May 2020 after filing for a compassionate release. His brother, Big Meech, is still behind bars serving 30-years in prison.

We’ll keep you posted on anymore updates regarding Jam Master Jay’s murder case.

Tory Lanez Case: Detective Who Was “Key Witness” Won’t Testify: Report

We’re sure your timelines are cluttered with updates about the case involving Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez. The news filters in real-time as the trial date approaches next week. In July 2020, an incident occurred outside a Hollywood Hills mansion. Megan alleged her former friend shot her in the foot, and quickly, the allegations became the talk of pop culture. However, Lanez has repeatedly denied the accusations as he heads to trial. The rapper-singer faces several felony charges, including his newly added discharge of a weapon count.

Nancy Dillon, a senior reporter for Rolling Stone, has been keeping the world updated about Lanez’s case since its onset. She offered information via Twitter and, earlier today, returned with more news. “Tory Lanez Trial Update: LAPD Det. Ryan Stogner ‘relieved of duty’ in last month,” she wrote.

Dillon added, “Prosecutors reveal in court Lanez’s atty George Mgdesyan says on the record the ‘underlying’ reason for dismissal was a DV allegation.” However, “Prosecutors say no charges filed & they won’t call him @ trial.”

“Mgdesyan says Stogner, who was the investigating officer who interviewed Megan The Stallion after the shooting, is a critical witness for the defense. He told court he plans to call him under the theory Stogner ‘botched’ the investigation. Judge says he would allow.”

Reports stated that the defense team plans to call Kris Jenner’s partner Corey Gamble and daughter Kylie Jenner as witnesses. Just before the shooting, Megan, Lanez, and Jenner appeared together on Instagram Live as they partied at the mansion and enjoyed its swimming pool. It is unclear what Jenner may have witnessed, but the rumors have been unending.

It has also been reported that Kelsey Nicole, Megan’s former best friend, may take the stand as a witness for the prosecution. Kelsey was at the scene when the shooting occurred, but as the years progressed, she has had a tense relationship with the rapper. The two were once close, but their fallout played out for social media audiences. Megan publicly suggested that her ex-BFF remained silent about what happened because she allegedly took a bribe from Lanez’s camp. Kelsey denies the accusations.

On Twitter, Lanez seems confident that the trial will vindicate him.
