Lil Dicky Says Usher Is The Reason He Strips During Concerts

In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Lil Dicky revealed that he strips during his shows because of Usher. The rapper and actor, whose real name is Dave Burd, was on the late-night talk show to promote his show Dave. The show, which is now entering its third season, is semi-autobiographical. It follows the story of a suburban white man who manages to convince himself that he is going to be a great rapper. Dave has featured many illustrious guest stars from the music industry, including Doja Cat, Lil Yachty, Justin Bieber, and Trippie Redd.

Dave Burd is a comedian, actor, and rapper hailing from Philadelphia. According to him, rap was more of a path to a career in comedy. However, after he released his first mixtape entitled So Hard in 2013 under the moniker “Lil Dicky”, he fell in love with rapping. Since then, he has released a second mixtape, a full studio album, an EP, and countless singles. Though much of his music may be comedic in nature, it hasn’t stopped him from getting huge features from big-league artists like Snoop Dogg and Chris Brown.

Seeing Usher Made Lil Dicky Weep

In his promo tour for Dave, Lil Dicky stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to talk about a whole host of topics, including some of his inspirations. While talking to Kimmel, he reminisced about the time he saw Usher in concert as a child. “I see this man on stage, and I remember weeping watching him as he would strip down into his underwear,” he said. “And honestly, I now, strip down to my underwear when I get shows, because of Usher.”

In season 3 of Dave, viewers can expect to see more exciting cameos, one of which will be Usher himself. When the R&B singer was on set, Lil Dicky took the opportunity to tell him about the stripping habit he’d picked up from watching his concerts. Though this may seem like an awkward interaction, apparently Usher was okay with it. When asked how he reacted to the information, Burd simply said, “He thought it was cool.” Let us know what you think of this revelation, in the comments below.

Usher Serenades Fan During Sensual Performance

One very lucky Usher concertgoer got the experience of a lifetime when the R&B singer entered the audience and began serenading her. A TikTok posted by the fan showed the encounter with text reading “When you go see Usher and this happens…” Trina, or @trina331 as she is known on TikTok, also thanked Usher in the caption of the post. The singer has been performing his greatest hits at his My Way Las Vegas residency, which opened in 2021. The fan interaction is just one of many memorable moments that have happened at the residency, including bringing Chris Brown on stage and paying tribute to Queen Latifah.

Usher has long been seen as a sex symbol in the world of R&B. His diamond-certified 2004 album Confessions had a stranglehold on pop culture for years. In fact, if you’re out partying, you are likely to hear his hit single “Yeah!”. The song spent 12 weeks at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and it was only knocked out of the top spot by Usher’s next single, “Burn”. Last year, the iconic singer was referred to as the “King of R&B” by Bevy Smith on her show Bevelations. In response, Usher said he would carry the crown and that he was the last of his kind. It’s a bold claim, but he does have an impressive resume to back it up.

Up Close And Personal With Usher

Usher is an artist who has often given the gift of fan service, frequently bringing fans on stage in previous tours to dance with them. In fact, the TikTok video from his residency, which shows him slow dancing with a fan and feeding her chocolate-covered strawberries, is quite tame in comparison to some of his previous fan encounters. In videos from his 2010 OMG Tour, he can be seen grinding on fans during performances of the song “Trading Places”. Still, any fan would likely consider themselves blessed to have such a personal interaction with their favorite artist.

Although R&B has long since lost the once immeasurable popularity it held in the early aughts, Usher seems to have plans to revitalize the genre. How he plans to do that remains to be seen, but the days of sultry ballads and love songs may not be over quite yet. If the ticket sales for his Vegas residency are any indication, there is clearly still an audience for R&B. The advent of streaming also means that radio no longer determines what is popular. So, while R&B may never quite reach the heights it once did, there is certainly room for a resurgence.

Meek Mill Acts Like A Fan While On Stage With Future

To be fair, if you were in the presence of Hendrix as he sang one of his biggest hits, you’d probably go crazy, too. Meek Mill recently joined Future on stage during his One Big Party tour during one of his Florida stops. Moreover, a clip of the “Dreams and Nightmares” MC excitedly rapping along to the track “March Madness” made rounds online. In fact, Meek was like Future’s biggest fan in that moment, with a big smile on his face and hyping the crowd up with additional ad-libs.

In fact, it seems that whenever Meek and Pluto link up for a tour stop, great things are bound to happen. For example, the latter squashed his beef with Rocko during the Legendary Nights tour’s stop in Atlanta. Given that both artist collaborated often, it was a great moment to see as Future became more and more dominant in the mainstream. Not only that, but the show also invited ATL icons 2 Chainz, 21 Savage, and Lil Baby. From all accounts, the One Big Party tour is fulfilling that legacy of amazing live performances from the “Stick Talk” MC.

Meek Mill Has A Blast On Stage With Future

Speaking of Meek Mill and Atlanta, are you a recent signee to the Hawks or Falcons? Looking for a lavish crib to stay? Well, Meek’s got you covered. He hilariously announced on Instagram that he’s selling his ATL mansion for $25 million. “My realtor not getting this off fast enough & I think I can lol. I never moved in it had for a few years,” he captioned the video tour of the property. “Sandy springs/buckhead area! When somebody get traded to the hawks or falcons come grab this Jawn! I’m not even gone tag who shot this s***ty video lol!”

Meanwhile, Future’s next stop is actually in Meek’s hometown of Philly, which means he might pop out again. Of course, his tour included many special guests and even more surprises, and Philly’s surely getting another helping of greatness. What’s more is that everyone on his roster seems to be having a fantastic time… like one big party. Come back to HNHH for the latest on Future, Meek Mill, and the One Big Party tour.

Yeat Fans Got Nuts At New York Show: Watch

Yeat is a relatively new rapper to the scene, but his concert in New York was packed. All of his fans were popping off during the setlist, and there is no doubt that he is only up from here. Firstly, Yeat began his career as Lil Yeat in 2015. However, he has deleted all of his songs from back then off the internet. His official introduction was not until 2018, when he released “Brink,” on the Elevator youtube channel. He had his big break on TikTok in 2021. So far, he has released three studio albums and an EP, as well as a mixtape. His newest album was called Afterlyfe, released Feb 24. The name is a play on words for his EP, Lyfe.

Yeat is currently on tour around America, and he hit New York last night. He was so popular there that there was barely even any room to stand, as shown by the clips below. Despite the lack of legroom, however, people were still able to have a great time.

Yeat’s Music And Fans

Yeat has talked in the past about how he uses LSD to help him create his music, and it shows. The backing beats to his raps are very trippy and unusual. The biggest example of this is his use of a bell in some of his songs. His rapping and lyrics are not the greatest, despite what his fans say. It is mostly mumble rap with lyrics that do not make sense and seem to be a train of thought more than an actual decision to put them in. He could be rapping about doing crime at one point in the song, then the next it could be about his Tonka trucks. Despite that, though, his fans know the lyrics by heart and sang them with him during the concert.

Yeat’s fans are just as strange as his lyrics are. They talk as if they worship Yeat and that his songs cured their cancer. It is hard to tell if they are just sh*tposting or if they actually like him that much. It is especially difficult since he grew his fan base off of TikTok, so they are mostly very young and are still figuring out how to interact online. Despite the majority of them being young, there was still enough that were old enough to be able to show up for the concert.
