Will Eminem Release A New Album In 2024?

Eminem fans might have some tunes to look forward to this year. Some of his friends, including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and 50 Cent, stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! in honor of Dre getting a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

While that was the shining topic on the show, Dr. Dre also wound up talking about Eminem and had some exciting news to share.

Will Eminem Release A New Album In 2024?

“Let me tell you something, let me explain something to you right now: Eminem is working on his own album which is coming out this year,” Dre said.

Although it might seem that Dr. Dre let the news about Eminem slip, he pointed out that he did get permission from the rapper. It’s also already been four years since the Detroit musician last released a record, with 2020’s Music To Be Murdered By.

“And I actually talked to him and he told me it was okay for me to make that announcement right here on this show,” Dr. Dre added. “So he has an album coming out, I’ve got songs on it and it’s fire. I’m actually gonna hear the entire album for the first time for tomorrow. And he holds his music close to his chest so I haven’t heard everything. I haven’t even heard everything complete that I’ve done, but I’m gonna hear it, and he’s putting out an album this year.”

Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, And 50 Cent Collaborate… To Mock Jimmy Kimmel’s Genitals In A Comedy Sketch

Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and 50 Cent are four of the best to ever do it when it comes to hip-hop. Now, the four have come together on one project… that project being a Jimmy Kimmel Live! sketch.

The skit — which aired last night, March 19) is about a fictional TV show called Dre’s Anatomy, and anatomy is the issue here. The video starts with Kimmel being rushed into a hospital room, where Dr. Dre (playing an actual medical doctor, of course) lifts the blanket covering the host’s waist and is shocked by what he finds (or rather, doesn’t find).

Dre says, “What the f*ck is this? This man has no penis.”

Kimmel is confused by that, but Dre calls on “Dr. Broadus” (Snoop) for a second opinion. Even with help from a magnifying glass, Snoop has trouble locating the penis. 50 Cent then comes in with a telescope, focused squarely on Kimmel’s crotch, and still nothing. They eventually put Kimmel under anesthesia (which sure looks like weed smoke) before the beeping machines start producing the beat to “Still D.R.E.,” which gets a party started.

After the Dre’s Anatomy promo ends, it segues into a quick teaser for another fictional medical show, EM. Eminem makes a cameo, holding a syringe and deadpanning to the camera, “You only get one shot.” 50 enters and interjects, “One shot? I got shot nine times.” Eminem replies, “That’s a weird flex, but… OK.”

Check out the skit above. The group (minus Eminem) also sat down for a lengthy interview with Kimmel, so check that out below.

Lionel Richie Expressed Regret Over Not Including Madonna On ‘We Are The World,’ But Still Stands By Cyndi Lauper’s Selection

Each year, music’s biggest names come together to compete for high recognition at the Grammy Awards. But occasionally, entertainers can put aside their competitive spirits for the right cause. In January 1985, that moment came when Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, Quincy Jones, and Michael Omartian set out to record “What Are The Word.”

The track pulled in several chart-topping musicians to lend their voices for charity. On February 16, during his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Richie revealed that even though the moment was magical, he did have a few regrets that night, including not including Madonna in the fold. Despite Madonna’s superstar success at the time, the team opted for Cyndi Lauper instead.

Richie went on to explain the relation behind the decision. “We had only a half a line to sing,” he said. “So, we had to have voices that people knew right away. You had to have an identifiable voice… Cyndi had that.”

In the new Netflix documentary The Greatest Night In Pop, viewers can relive the moment as footage from the star-studded recording session outlines the meticulous work that went into recording the song.

Snoop Dogg Hopped In An ‘Oppenheimer’ Cast Photo For Some Reason, A Reason He Has Now Explained

Snoop Dogg explained how his viral photo with the cast of Oppenheimer happened, during his recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. For those who haven’t seen it, the rapper went to an event and happened to pop up in the background.

Considering it was all the film’s actors except for Matt Damon, Snoop’s photo bomb was a hilarious addition. It’s such a random pop-up that it very well could have been Photoshopped. But no, it’s real.

“How did this happen?” Kimmel asked him. “Were you in Oppenheimer and I didn’t notice?”

“No, I wasn’t in the movie,” Snoop answered. “I happened to be at that party that night… I’m a fan of the majority of the cast on there, the director, the actors, and they asked me to be in the picture. They were like, ‘We can’t take a picture unless Snoop Dogg is in it.’ I’m like, ‘Alright.’”

Snoop went on to share how he felt about the Christopher Nolan flick, which became a summer blockbuster during the Barbenheimer craze. (For the record, he also went to see Barbie in theaters.)

“I loved it,” he said of Oppenheimer. “It was a long movie, but I loved it.” Snoop received screeners to view it at home but pointed out that when it comes to movies, he “can’t watch it in pieces,” and opted to run through the 3-plus-hour movie in full.

“I gotta watch it all,” he added. “I wanna respect the director, the actors, the whole storyline, and let it get to where it need to get to.”

The best musical performances from the past week of late-night TV include sets from Offset, Davido, The National, and more. Uproxx has the rundown below so you can catch up or relive your favorites. Here are the best live music performances on TV from the past week.

Offset & Don Toliver:

Fresh from the release of his second solo album, Set It Off, Offset stopped by 30 Rock to deliver a grooving performance of his song “Worth It” alongside Don Toliver on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. With the stage reflecting a summery beach setting in contrast to the actual weather outside, the set was much more appropriate for the upbeat single, which samples Busta Rhymes’ “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See.”

Davido:

Speaking of summery songs, there is perhaps no genre as full of them as Afrobeats. One of that genre’s biggest stars, Davido, also hit the Tonight Show stage for an exuberant performance, playing a medley of his songs “Feel” and “Unavailable,” flanked by a pair of joyous dancers and backed by a lustrous, brassy band.

The National:

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert is known for bringing in not just high-profile talent, but also some of the headiest. The National offered a prime example of this tendency with a moody performance of their song “Space Invader” from Laugh Track.

Alec Benjamin:

Rising star Alec Benjamin dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! for a soulful performance of “Different Kind Of Beautiful.” The introspective track was complemented by setting the stage as a cozy bedroom, complete with a record player, reading lamp, and even a laptop open to Pro Tools.

Diddy Remembers What Helped Him Become A Billionaire: “I Think About It Every Day”

Diddy is in rare air in the hip-hop industry. He is one of just a handful of rappers to achieve reaching billionaire status. The rapper and music mogul accomplished this feat back in late October of 2022. This really cements him as one of the greatest visionaries in the genre. Diddy was able to do this through tons of different business avenues. Those include his Bad Boys record label, his joint efforts in the alcohol business, his alkaline water line, and plenty of others. He touched on this in a recent Jimmy Kimmel Live! interview.

In addition to his wealth, the rapper talked about a hilarious but serious experience with a crazy psychedelic. He also recalled some crazy things he did as a kid to make any sort of money he could. “Look you have to understand me, I’m self-made. I come from just putting two quarters together, $2 together, I was a paperboy when I was 12.” He continues, “Wasn’t even allowed to be a paperboy, I was running a paperboy scam, you know what I’m saying, so I was delivering papers for paperboys and I was splitting the money with them.”

Diddy Recalls The Grind During His Childhood

On top of that, Diddy was also cleaning bathrooms in New York during the heatwaves, as well as painting homes. All of this he says was very fulfilling. “Work hard, you get what you deserve, and I’m blessed to have had people support me.” Because of this, he always thinks about how far he has come. “I think about it every day.” He should and it cool to see him to continue to win every day.

What are your initial thoughts on Diddy always thinking about his billionaire status even a year later? Is he the biggest musical icon of all time? Snoop Dogg Hilariously Revealed That He Has Weed Connects In Most Countries, Thanks To His Global Friends

Snoop Dogg made a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where he had an interesting reveal about his weed habits. The conversation started after Kimmel asked Snoop about how he helped comedian Mike Epps find weed in Iceland.

This led to the rapper pointing out that he has a ton of connections in nearly every country.

“Well, last time I checked I was the plug to your plug,” Snoop said. “I’m the connect. It’s good to have friends that have friends that are international and global and able to get you medicated and dedicated no matter where you at.”

Kimmel then directly asked if Snoop Dogg knew people to get weed from in countries like Ireland, Mexico, and many more. He answered yes to all… Except for one. The only place that he doesn’t have access to is (possibly) North Korea, for obvious reasons.

“How many days were you in North Korea?” Kimmel asked.

“I was over there for about maybe seven or eight days,” Snoop responded. “I did a song with an artist named Psy… We went over there and did a few things.” However, upon Kimmel’s correction, Snoop soon realized they were likely in South Korea.

“Ain’t they the same?” he asked, as both of them laughed.

His spot on the talk show was tied to the release of his new cookbook, which is out on November 14.
