SZA Performs Electric Set At Lollapalooza

SZA was met by an electric audience in Argentina as she headlined Lollapalooza. Alongside performing all of her hits, SZA also shocked the audience by conversing with them in Spanish on several occasions. “Argentina GAAAAVEEE !! Thank you so much for your energy 🥹🇦🇷🫶🏾 te ammoo !!! Chile mañanaaaa!” SZA wrote on social media after her appearance.

It’s been a busy year for SZA already. Elsewhere, SZA beat out a crowded field to take home “Best International Artist” at the BRIT Awards. The St. Louis singer took home the award ahead of the likes of Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, and Taylor Swift. In fact it, was a quiet night overall for Swift. Cyrus took home “International Song of the Year” for “Flowers”. However, it should be noted that Swift did not have a nomination in this category. Previously, Swift had topped SZA for “Album of the Year” at the Grammys. Furthermore, speaking of the Grammys, alongside Phoebe Bridgers, she won the 2024 Grammy for best pop dup/group performance for their track “Ghost in the Machine”. The pair most notably won the award over Swift, who was nominated for her track “Karma”, which featured Ice Spice.

Elsewhere, SZA has received yet more love for her recent Sesame Street appearance, with longtime resident Cookie Monster eagerly inviting the singer to return. “Me loved having you on our Street, @SZA! Let me know which type of cookies are your favorite for next time. 🍪,” Cookie Monster’s official Twitter account wrote. SZA has yet to provide CM with her preferred cookie. However, Sesame Street recently re-earned the ire of several Republican lawmakers. The GOP, which has long hated the publicly funded show, took issue with the show promoting a “stand up to racism” campaign. In the past, Republican lawmakers have gone as far as to try and defund PBS to prevent the continued production of Sesame Street.

Appearing on the long-running PBS has long been a dream of the singer’s. After appearing on the show, she shared an old Instagram Live clip of her asking her fans how to land an appearance on the show. Furthermore, SZA is not the first musician that Cookie Monster has shown love to. Last year, Lizzo appeared on the show and performed a mini-concert on a cookie flute.

Drake Filmed Himself On Fan’s Phone At Lollapalooza Argentina

Drake’s Lollapalooza Argentina set wowed thousands yet also disappointed many, although one lucky fan got a great video on their phone after Drake picked it up. Moreover, Drizzy filmed himself performing “Way 2 Sexy” on stage, as if he was taking a selfie video for the Gram. Instead, he left it as a gift to the phone’s owner, who obviously shared the flex on social media. Also, he graced fans with a treat by letting them sing Argentina’s unofficial World Cup song, which became their triumph song after their victory. However, other surprises the Canadian superstar had in store were less than pleasing.

According to fan testimonies and various Latin American outlets, Drake’s performance underdelivered on a few promises. First, many recounted that he showed up late to his set, resulting in about fifteen minutes of dead air. In addition, he reportedly did not allow his performance to be live-streamed, which is uncommon for the festival. Finally, fans expressed disappointment in his 40-minute set length, given that headliners usually perform for about an hour and a half or so.

Drake Gives A Fan’s Phone A Close-Up Show At Lollapalooza Argentina

Still, many of these complaints and logistical issues currently hold no blame, although reports indicate that Drake blocked the livestream just minutes before appearing on stage. Furthermore, Lollapalooza said that they had a previous agreement to stream the show normally, and that they “lament the artist’s decision.” Said message appeared on the livestream during Drake’s performance, answering fan questions as to why no such footage appeared. However, Drake’s upcoming tour with 21 Savage will hopefully not bring about those issues.

Despite more shows on the way, Argentine fans might not even be able to afford the show if they’re in North America for the tour to make up for this performance. Moreover, many fans took to social media to show their outrage over insanely high ticket prices. Considering the 36-year-old’s massive audience and appeal, such raucous demand probably warrants a steep price. With all that in mind, the rapper and singer hasn’t addressed these issues yet, so fans don’t know who’s really responsible for those circumstances. Regardless, come back to HNHH to stay updated on the latest news and developments concerning Drake.

Drake Sings Argentina’s World Cup Song At Lollapalooza

Drake went viral recently for signing Argentina’s unofficial World Cup song during his Lollapalooza Argentina performance. Moreover, it’s not surprising to see the 6 God show some love to last year’s victors. After all, he bet on the team’s victory, although he lost because they didn’t win within 90 minutes as he anticipated. Still, he riled up the jubilant crowd and only had to sing the first word of the track “Muchachos” for them to follow along. For those curious, the track is fully titled “Muchachos, ahora nos volvimos a ilusionar” and is by La Mosca Tse-Tse.

In the social media clip, the Canadian superstar is wrapping up one of his songs, addressing the crowd. “By the way, that was probably like one of the best moments of my career,” he remarked. “Thank you. I feel like I really made it.” Then, they begin screams of “Argentina!” that quickly ramp up. At that moment, Drizzy leads the crowd into the song that carried them through the legendary soccer- sorry, fútbol tournament to victory. Furthermore, the song is specifically dedicated to some of the nation’s greatest players, like Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi, and Gabriel Batistuta.

Drake Sings Argentina’s Unofficial World Cup Song

Unfortunately, the “Nice For What” rapper faced some stronger controversy and criticism for his performance. According to both Latin American news sources and festival-goer testimonies, Drake came out 15 minutes late for his set. Not only that, but he reportedly blocked the performance’s livestream (which was allegedly agreed on) just minutes before taking the stage. Such a decision goes against the standard of live-streaming Lollapalooza performances. Also, he reportedly only played for 40 minutes, well below the standard headliner slot of about an hour and a half.

In fact, the 36-year-old dealt with a lot of pushback for his live appearances recently. The most salient example of that has more to do with logistics, as people are outraged at the insane ticket prices for his tour with 21 Savage. Despite all that, it’s Drake we’re talking about, and it’s probably beyond his control. With that in mind, maybe his appreciation of Argentina’s people, greatness, and culture goes beyond festival mishaps. But that’s not for us to decide. Regardless, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Drake.

Drake’s Lollapalooza Argentina Set Cut Short, Fans Upset

The 6 God might be going on a massive tour soon, but if his latest sets are anything to go by, fans might be disappointed. Drake caught a lot of heat on social media for cutting his Lollapalooza Argentina set short and falling prey to a few other logistical issues. Fans claim that his performance was only about 40 minutes long, which differs from the typical hour and a half that a headliner would enjoy. Not only that, but the Canadian star allegedly barred his performance from being live-streamed just minutes before he arrived late to his show.

Moreover, this news is all the more concerning for Drake fans in the States, because it potentially indicates how his upcoming U.S. shows with 21 Savage will be. People are already outraged at the insanely inflated ticket prices for these shows. In fact, they added additional dates to accommodate demand, bringing the date count from 29 to 43. Still, it hasn’t made $1,000+ tickets any easier to swallow. However, despite all the outrage and disappointment with Drizzy’s Lolla Argentina performance, many of these factors aren’t necessarily his fault.

Drake Cuts Lollapalooza Argentina Short

Translation: “Drake’s show should’ve lasted an hour and 30 minutes in Lollapalooza Argentina, but the artist unexpectedly ended it early. In total, he played for less than an hour.”

Given the sheer size and scope of the festival, it’s natural that maybe there were some behind the scenes issues that we don’t know about that Drake had to handle in the moment. What’s curious is that it looks like event organizers were also blindsided by Drake’s decision to not allow a set livestream. Furthermore, they replaced footage of his performance on their stream with a message for fans. “Drake decided, minutes before going on stage, to not permit the live transmission of his show, despite the formal agreement reached earlier,” the message read. “We regret the artist’s decision.”

Meanwhile, Drake also performed at Lollapalooza Chile this weekend, which seems to have gone by without much of a hiccup. At least on Twitter, though, people are also complaining about a short set time. However, many people appreciated the set list itself, with many hits across his catalog, but that seems like a given for Drake. One can only wonder as to why he dismissed his sets this time around. Hopefully he’ll give a longer set at Lollapalooza Brasil next weekend. Check out reactions to his Lollapalooza Argentina set below and return to HNHH for the latest on Drake.

Lionel Messi Breaks Record For Most Liked Instagram Post

Lionel Messi is feeling pretty good these days after he and his Argentinian teammates won the World Cup on Sunday. They took the game by a score of 4-3 on penalty kicks against France. Overall, it was the greatest final in the history of sports, and fans are still processing what they watched.

If you are a Messi fan, this win has been fantastic as it pretty well solidifies Messi as the GOAT when compared to Cristiano Ronaldo. Furthermore, the win makes it so that Messi has nothing left to prove. Now, he can enjoy the rest of his career, especially as he takes his talents to South Beach.

Following his big win, Messi took to Instagram to celebrate. After a couple of days, the post reached a whopping 62 million likes. Consequently, he now has the most-liked Instagram post of all time. This surpasses the infamous egg which had 56 million likes.

“CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD!!!!!!!” Messi wrote in the post. “So many times I dreamed it, so much I wanted it that I still don’t fall, I can’t believe it…… Thank you so much to my family, to all who support me and also to all who believed in us. We prove once again that Argentinians when we fight together and united we are able to achieve what we aim.

“The merit is of this group, which is above individuals, is the strength of all fighting for the same dream that was also the one of all Argentinians… We did it!!! LET’S GO ARGENTINA DAMN!!!!!”

Messi has never cared much for social media, so he probably won’t celebrate the record anytime soon. Regardless, this is a pretty cool achievement that speaks to how big this moment was for him.

Salt Bae Roasted For Clout-Chasing At The World Cup

Salt Bae gained prominence just a few years ago thanks to the viral clip of him sprinkling salt on some steak. His real name is Nusret Goekce, and his fame has skyrocketed since the viral moment. Overall, he is someone who has benefitted greatly from social media. Additionally, his restaurant has become a hot spot for those who want an exceptionally expensive meal.

As it turns out, Salt Bae was at the World Cup on Sunday where Argentina played France in the Final. Of course, by now you all know that Argentina took the win by a score of 4-3 in penalty kicks. Following this win, Salt Bae showed up on the field where he took numerous photos with the World Cup trophy.

Fans Have Had Enough Of Salt Bae

In numerous videos posted to social media, it became clear that Salt Bae was overstaying his welcome on the pitch. He was pestering numerous players for photos, all while touching and kissing the trophy, which is against FIFA rules. Additionally, players like Lionel Messi seemingly wanted nothing to do with him.

As for fans on Twitter, the reception towards Salt Bae was very much the same. Many seem to think that his fame and success are completely undeserved. Furthermore, others found his insistence on getting a photo to be disrespectful.

“Salt Bae pestering Messi has to be the perfect symbol for all the awful off-field shit hovering around and poisoning anything good about this World Cup. Dismal little character,” one Twitter user wrote. “Who slaps a world cup trophy like it’s a piece of meat? Weirdo!” another said.
