Rod Wave is currently on tour to celebrate the release of one of his more successful records, Nostalgia. The fifth full-length project in the rapper’s discography is racking up the streams as of late. All five of Rod’s most popular songs are from his latest tape. Those are as follows: “Turks & Caicos” with 21 Savage, “Boyz Don’t Cry,” “Great Gatsby,” “Call Your Friends,” and “Fight The Feeling.” All of that amounted to around 137,000 units sold. To further cement the project’s status Rod is selling out shows and performing controversial stunts that have had everyone talking. Now, we have another interesting but scary development around his tour.

After a presumedly great show, fans felt like nothing could have gone wrong that night. However, there were a few unlucky concertgoers. Multiple cars were broken into across numerous parking lots. Some publications, including HipHopDX, were originally reporting that over 200 vehicles were tampered with. However, the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), corrected those claims, clarifying that there were “approximately 10.”

This may not be surprising for D.C. residents, though. Since 2022, there has been a staggering 98 percent uptick in crime. These were taking place around Capital One Arena, the place where Rod Wave was performing. As of now, there is no word on any arrests. Boosie Badazz Recalls Jeezy Giving His Mom $20k While He Was In Prison

Boosie Badazz praised Jeezy while watching him perform at the “GRAMMY Salute to 50 Years of Hip Hop” concert in Los Angeles, last week. In a video that has since made its way to social media, Boosie reflected on the rapper giving his mother $20,000 while Boosie was in prison.

“That’s my boy! He gave me $20,000 in jail — I’ll never forget it,” Boosie says in the clip. “He gave my mama $20,000 cash. Boy, that n***a helped. I’m a Jeezy fan for life. I was in jail and he gave my mama $20,000. All blues! I’ll never forget.” Fans shared love for Boosie in response to the video when Live Bitez shared it on Instagram. Despite the comments, they come as Boosie has been feuding with his mother over his lawsuit against his brother.

Taylor Swift Changes Lyrics To Shout Out Travis Kelce During Buenos Aires Concert

Taylor Swift switched up the lyrics to her song, “Karma,” during a performance in Buenos Aires on The Eras Tour on Saturday night. In doing so, she gave a shout-out to her new boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. She sang: “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me.” The original lyrics go: “Karma is the guy on the screen coming straight home to me.”

Kelce was in attendance at the concert, watching on from the VIP tent. When Swift finished her set, she ran over and kissed him. The performance comes after Kelce was spotted out to dinner with Swift the night before. Kelce also hinted at attending the show during the latest episode of his podcast with his brother, Jason, noting that he planned to head somewhere “closer to the equator” this weekend.

Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus tour has been underway since October 11 in Charlotte, North Carolina. In just under month, the success of the tour has been astronomical. The St. Petersburg, Florida native has been riding high ever since the release of his fifth full-length studio album, Nostalgia. The record even stood tall at number one on the Billboard Hot 200 chart for two straight weeks. On top of that, it debuted at the top of the heap, selling 137,000 copies in its first week. It made it the third number-one record of his career as well.

Of course, Rod is now on tour as of October 19. The Nostalgia Tour goes through December 18, where the last three dates are back near his hometown. Lauryn Hill Fires Back At Criticism For Being Late To Shows

Lauryn Hill has addressed critics who have complained about her being late to live performances on her tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. On stage at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Hill remarked that fans are “lucky” she makes it to the shows at all.

“They say, ‘Oh, she’s late’ and ‘She’s late tonight.’ Yo, y’all lucky I make it on this … stage every night,” she told the audience. “I leave my soul on this stage. And I don’t do it because they let me. I do it because I stand here in the name of God. And I know it. God is the one who allows me to do it, who surrounded me with family and community when there was no support when the album sold so many records and no one showed up and said, ‘Hey, would you like to make another one?’”

Travis Scott Teaches Concert Crowd To Give The Middle Finger

Travis Scott paused his concert briefly to teach the crowd how to give the middle finger. “Like this y’all,” Scott said, showing the concertgoers how to flip the bird. However, it wasn’t coming to easy to some people. “Naw, some of y’all are using your index finger. You’re just pointing at me. Like this,” he said, making it very clear what finger he was talking about. The clip appears to come from Scott’s most recent show on the tour, a November 1 show in Oakland.

Scott is deep into his Circus Maximus tour and is set to continue touring the US and Canada until December 29. His next show is tomorrow (November 5) in Los Angeles as he continues his West Coast schedule. He has already performed in Oakland, as mentioned. Furthermore, he has shows in Seattle, Vancouver, and Portland before he heads a little more inland to play Salt Lake City.

Old SNL Promo Has Fans Speculating On Scott’s Drug Use

Meanwhile, a recently resurfaced promo for Travis Scott‘s 2018 appearance on SNL has fans debating whether the rapper has a drug addiction. In the clip, which featured Awkafina as the episode host, Scott is in a completely different galaxy. He doesn’t appear to be even vaguely aware of what is going on as Awkafina and former cast member Cecily Strong do a bit about Crazy Rich Asians. Bear in mind, this was five years ago. However, this hasn’t stopped fans from expressing modern concern about the rapper’s drug habits. “Yaaaa i never done no sh-t like this on just weed…hoping he doesn’t OD like other rappers cos clearly he don’t got anyone who cares enough to stop him from doing this on live television,” one person wrote on social media.

However, Scott has long denied that he has a drug problem. “I don’t do a lot of drugs, sh-t so I don’t even know. I only think that real drugs are like crack, heroin, and f-cking, like, you know, meth. Sh-t that really gets you f-cked ed up, sh-t that really gets you tweakin’. If you ain’t doing that, you ain’t doing drugs. I think that’s weak people need all that weird sh-t just to, like, tap into their f-cking brain. Knowledge is power, drugs [are] just, like, a mental cool down. It just put me at ease. I don’t tap into drugs to say what’s on my mind. I can do that sh-t sober, I am a drug, sober,” Scott said back in 2018.

Lil Uzi Vert Balcony Dives At Concert: Watch

At a recent show, Lil Uzi Vert embodied their inner Rod Wave, jumping off a balcony into the crowd below. Uzi had been standing on the ledge in front of the VIP section, getting the crowd hyped. A couple of times, they leaned back and let the VIPs keep them upright. Then, Uzi carefully hopped over the balcony and jumped about five or six feet into the section below, briefly disappearing before bouncing back up and presumably heading for the stage.

Of course, as mentioned, diving from the balcony has become a staple on Rod Wave’s current tour. Wave has opened his show with a controlled balcony dive on at least two occasions, doing the second one in Kentucky with hometown guest Jack Harlow. While many people have criticized Wave for “glorifying suicide”, the musician seems unperturbed and eager to continue performing the stunt.

Uzi’s Team Begs Rapper Not To Retire Via Billboard

Meanwhile, Uzi’s team is currently fighting the rapper about their plans to retire. During a recent tour stop in Chicago, Uzi announced that the upcoming Luv is Rage 3 will be their “final album”. “No, relax. It’s okay. After Luv Is Rage 3, I guess I will go on another tour for Luv Is Rage 3. But after that, I wanna try to live a normal life,” Uzi explained. However, aside from saying a post-Luv is Rage 3 tour, they did not specify a retirement date.

However, the announcement was met with opposition from their label and management agency. “Uzi, please don’t retire! Love, your Generation Now family. Love, your Diop Agency family,” read a billboard in Philadelphia’s Fashion District. It’s clear that the financial powers that be aren’t eager to have Uzi retire, especially after their massive year with The Pink Tape and the promise of Barter 16. It remains to be seen if Uzi goes through the retirement plans after Luv is Rage 3 is released.
