Brian McKnight recently caught a lot of heat online for something seemingly innocuous: celebrating his daughter-in-law’s birthday. However, what got people mad is how, for years now, reports have come out that McKnight forgot about his four biological children. After social media riled against him for what many found to be an insensitive post, the R&B/soul singer finally addressed his viral backlash. For one, he posted various pictures of him and his kids over the years, which he believes disproves these criticisms. Also, he said that there’s always another side to the story, albeit one that he hasn’t shared often.

“Not sure how these posts that have been sitting here this whole time were left out of the false narrative that is trending,” Brian McKnight wrote on Instagram. “Abandonement? There’s always more to every story. Stay tuned.” Furthermore, he also included the captions for these family pictures with his kids. For example, one read “Throw back to our wedding day with my sons happiest day of my life.” Another, this time from McKnight’s wife, contained the following message: “My husband my sons and daughter on the most beautiful day of our lives.”

Still, this might not convince people that the situation is any better, especially after the Instagram birthday post in question. “Today we celebrate you Jules on your birthday,” Brian McKnight wrote to his step-daughter. “Your mom and I couldn’t be prouder of you and I couldn’t ask for a better daughter than you!!! Happy birthday to the best daughter ever! Love u a zillion.” When it comes to the 53-year-old’s own biological daughter, he has a less than positive relationship with her at the moment.

Meanwhile, the artist’s son Brian McKnight Jr. had previously blasted his father back in 2021. “When it comes to my father, the proof is in the pudding,” he began. “If there are still people out there wasting their breath putting us down for speaking our truth, challenge them to question how they think they know our father better than us? Ne-Yo Serves Ex-Girlfriend Papers Demanding Paternity Test

It looks like Ne-Yo is adding yet another messy chapter to his storied love life. The singer and songwriter just got divorced. Now, he is having issues with his baby mama. He recently had his ex-girlfriend Sade Bagnerise served with papers asking for a paternity test. He is also asking for court-mandated child support. The pair have two children, both of which allegedly belong to Ne-Yo. The singer is not so sure, however.

According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Ne-Yo is certain that he is the father of his older child, Braiden Bagnerise. However, he has doubts about the paternity of his younger child, Brixton Bagnerise. He requested a DNA test to establish paternity and is also seeking joint custody and a flexible parenting schedule for the children. Ne-Yo wants Braiden to take his last name, but it is unclear if he plans to change Brixton’s last name as well after the results of the paternity test are available.

Ne-Yo’s romantic relationships have been complicated. In February, he finalized his divorce from Crystal Renay, which required him to pay almost $2 million. Renay filed for divorce in August 2022, just four months after they renewed their vows. She accused Ne-Yo of cheating on her multiple times and fathering a child with another woman during their marriage. In the divorce, Renay gets one of their four homes in Georgia and moving expenses up to $20,000. Ne-Yo has agreed to pay $150,000 for a new car for Renay, while keeping their 2022 Bentley Bentayga for himself.

The couple has three children together, so Ne-Yo will also pay $12,000 monthly for child support. Additionally, he will pay the kids’ school expenses and $5,000 monthly for alimony for the next three years. Both Ne-Yo and Renay have joint custody of the children and have agreed not to introduce romantic partners around the kids. Recently, Cannon celebrated the 12th birthday of his twins, Monroe and Moroccan, whom he shares with Mariah Carey. Carey was also in attendance for the celebration. He shared the festivities with his followers on Instagram, where he posted a video of the party. The clip shows the children, surrounded by their loved ones, smiling and enjoying themselves. Nick Cannon Doesn’t Want All Of His Kids Under One Roof

In a recent interview with People, Nick Cannon revealed that he wouldn’t want to house his 12 kids under the same roof. Of course, that sounds like a logistical nightmare to begin with, but maybe some fans take that to mean he doesn’t care enough to bother. However, in his breakdown of his take, he explained that it would be more self-serving for him than anything else. Given that he recently raised some eyebrows for forgetting his daughter Onyx’s name, maybe this is also a reflection of him not wanting to spread his time too thin. Still, it’s quite an interesting reflection from someone who seemingly would rather put in extra work on his end to connect with his children.

“Only person that would benefit from having everyone in the Sam Rosa would probabaly be me,” Nick Cannon expressed to the publication. “I actually love stepping into their world– going to their sports games or giving them their personal time for the holidays. So I have no problem with bouncing around. It works to be able to take the time trying to go to them and show the value of being with them and not forcing anyone to come to me.”
