Rick Ross Receives Praise From Authorities For Handling Of Car Show

Rick Ross is receiving praise from authorities for the handling of his annual car show in Fayetteville, Georgia, over the weekend. Despite more than 6,000 people reportedly attending, the event went over fairly smoothly according to Fayette County Sheriff Barry Babb.

“Everything has run very well considering the amount of people and the small traffic ways we have here, and it’s because he hired a good team,” Babb told WSB-TV. He noted that last year’s organization was significantly worse. “This year, they started putting a lot of plans in place, listened to us, we listened to them.”

As for what changes were made, attendees were now shuttled in from nearby shopping centers and traffic was halted to allow local residents to move more freely. This also resulted in medical personnel having less trouble getting in and out. “We can get our medical equipment through here. I think it’s been good for the community as far as law enforcement because we’re getting to work together like we’ve never worked before. So, it’s a good team-building exercise for public safety. Not just law enforcement but fire and rescue as well,” said Babb. Major Marcus Dennard with the South Fulton Police Department added that the changes will help Ross with his car shows in future years. “See, this is actually monumental because it actually puts a plan in place for years to come,” he said.

Despite the improvements, not all residents were appeased. “I don’t care if it went smoothly,” neighbor John E. Jones told WSB-TV. “This community is no place for a commercial event of this size and magnitude.” He added that he and other locals will once again try to stop the event from being put on next year. Many residents tried to use the city council to shut down the car show this year.

Rick Ross Car Show A Smash Hit For Second Year In A Row

There has been a lot of speculation about the second edition of the Rick Ross Car Show. Things started positively, with Ross flexing the prize for the show winners. Later, the diamond-encrusted key would also be joined by some $300k chains. However, the excitement was somewhat overshadowed by a little of beef and a side of legal drama.

First, Ross’ neighbors attempted to get the car show blocked. Residents of Fayetteville, Georgia argued that the second running of the show would negatively impact their lives. That led to Ross’ permit being denied. However, Ross vowed that the show would go on. In the middle of all this, Ross started beefing with DJ Envy, who was throwing a rival car show around the same time as Ross. However, eventually, Ross was granted permission to hold his show and June 3 marked the big day.

The first major sight of the event was Rick Ross wandering around with a pair of lace purple panties on his head. But then came the concert series, which boasted an absolutely stacked roster. Lil Wayne had already been announced earlier in the year but fans were overjoyed to get sets from Meek Mill and Gucci Mane on the main stage as well. DJ Akademiks estimated that there were 30,000 people in attendance.

Elsewhere, Ross was seen linking up with Tyler, The Creator on the showgrounds. Furthermore, local law enforcement has praised Ross for how smoothly the event went. “He hired a really good team that put together a lot of good work for us,” Fayette County Sherrif Barry Babb said. “We’ve been able to work with multiple agencies, really the only thing with some minor inconveniences with traffic.” Additionally, only three medical incidents were reported, with all three being attributed to the weather. Temperatures hit 88 degrees in Fayetteville on Saturday afternoon. However, the positive endorsement of local authorities should make the process for next year’s event smooth sailing.

Rick Ross Posts Up With Panties On His Head As Annual Car Show Kicks Off At The Promise Land

Those who purchased a ticket for Rick Ross’ Car & Bike Show were sadly disappointed to find out the rapper was denied a permit for his annual event last month. At the time, the “Purple Lamborghini” rapper made it clear that the function would unfold regardless of what Fayetteville County (or his resentful neighbours) had to say about it. Thankfully, everyone was later able to agree on acceptable terms. Now, Rozay can proceed as planned with a few parking regulations put in place to avoid catastrophe.

Today (June 3) is the big day. Ross has been happily documenting his shenanigans on Instagram for those who couldn’t make it in person. Among the many hilarious videos we’ve seen so far is one of the Mississippi-born entertainer riding around his massive property, the Promise Land, proudly showing off a pair of purple panties. Midway through the clip, he wraps the underwear around the hat on his head earning him plenty of laughs from social media.

The Annual Rick Ross Car & Bike Show is Underway

It’s set to be a stacked day in Georgia. Ross is giving out luxurious prizes, including diamond chains to owners of whips that particularly stand out to him. Apart from checking out the cars, many attendees are also looking forward to performances from Rozay himself. In addition, Gucci Mane and Lil Wayne will take the stage too. Diddy has also confirmed that he’ll be in attendance, and seeing as his new “Act Bad” single with the City Girls and Fabolous is already on pace to be the song of the summer, we wouldn’t be surprised to see him promoting it in one way or another.

As Atlanta News First reports, the former correctional officer kicked things off at 11 AM ET and plans to keep the entertainment coming until 6 PM. What other wild antics do you think we’ll see unfold at the Rick Ross Car & Bike show this afternoon? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Diddy Says He Will Be Attending Rick Ross’ Car Show

Diddy has revealed that he will attend Rick Ross’ upcoming car show. During a video Ross posted on Instagram, on Memorial Day, Diddy popped into the frame and asked if there is anywhere he can land his private jet.

“Hope you muthafuckas are ready for Saturday,” Ross said in the clip on his Instagram Story. “It’s gon’ be a special event.” At that point, Diddy pops in to ask, “This just in. Can I land my jet? I know it’s a car show but can I bring the Jet? I know Rick Ross has a runway. He’s has a jet runway at his house. At his house!”

The highly-anticipated car show will be held on Saturday, June 3. Last week, Ross revealed that there will be over $300,000 in prize giveaways at the event. Categories for prizes include “Best Car,” “Best Bike,” “Hustler Of The Year,” and many more. Ross explained in a post: “This heavyweight. This over $300,000 in giveaways. The bottom row, that’s for the heavyweights — best car, best bike. The top row — Hustler of the Year and Best Hot Rod. It’s going down at the Promise Land, it’s like a party, it’s like a barbecue. It’s not going down at one of them spots where everybody got on a mask, it’s like the Olympics. Rose gold — not silver, but white gold.”

Diddy & Rick Ross

Despite the show going on, Ross has run into quite a bit of trouble trying to put it together. The city council in Fayetteville tried to have the event shut down out of concerns about traffic, to which Ross threatened to run for mayor. Eventually, Ross was able to get approval with increased police patrols and officers on duty, as well as special traffic plans to minimize disruptions.

Gillie Da Kid Flexes His Corvette, Offers To Show Out With Wallo At DJ Envy’s Next Car Show

Car shows have been a hot topic of conversation in hip-hop as of late, with DJ Envy hosting his in honour of Young Dolph this past weekend, and Rick Ross planning his for this Saturday (June 3) at his Promise Land estate in Georgia. The two figures have been trading shots on social media over the past few days, with things becoming increasingly personal. Earlier today, MMG artist Gunplay even posted a video of him and Envy on the phone, at which time The Breakfast Club host attempted to apologize to him for the slander, though the rapper didn’t want to hear it.

By now, the New Yorker is accustomed to the hate, so it was certainly nice to see a positive response from Gillie Da Kid on Sunday (May 28). In an Instagram post, the media personality showed off his vintage 1974 Corvette, which he said he’d be more than happy to show off at Envy’s next car show. “Bring that baby back to life. Muthaf*cka was filthy. 1974 ya know what I mean? With that 383 Stroke in it. DJ Envy next time you have a car show let me know, man. Me and Wallo come f*ck your joint up. All original too,” Gillie said from behind the camera.

Gillie Da Kid Shows DJ Envy His Classic Corvette

While he wasn’t tagged in the video, Envy still got the message and dropped by the comments to share his thoughts. “I think it’s time…. Let’s do something in Philly,” the father of two wrote back. Seeing as Gillie and Ross have long-spanning beef it’s not surprising to see the former taking his competitor’s side in the car show face-off.

Elsewhere in the comments, the “Get Down On The Ground” artist received praise from both Curren$y and Lil Duval. The latter admitted that, while he’s not usually a fan of the specific model, he’s impressed with what GDK has done with his project. What are your thoughts on Gillie Da Kid’s 1974 Corvette? Rick Ross Celebrates County Permit Approval Ahead Of Next Weekend’s Car Show

Regardless of what officials in Fayetteville have to say, Rick Ross made it clear earlier this month that he’ll be hosting his annual car and bike show during the first weekend of June – permit approved or not. The rapper has previously held the event at his massive Promise Land estate in Georgia. However, for 2023’s festivities, his neighbours submitted a complaint requesting that he be prohibited from using his property for such matters. After some back-and-forth, it was initially declared that Ross would be denied their blessing. This resulted in him declaring his plans to run for mayor in the next election.

“It’s a private event on private property with VIPs and you’re invited. Tickets are still available online. It’s going to be a beautiful event. Shoutout to the beautiful city of Fayetteville,” the Mississippi native declared on his Instagram Story last week. Since then, it seems that he and the County Planning and Zoning Commission have come to agreeable terms. He proudly showed off a letter of approval from Director Deborah L. Bell on social media earlier this weekend.

Fayette County Grants Rick Ross Car Show Permit

“THE HATERS DEAD 😆,” Rozay wrote along with the exciting news. “WE UNSTOPPABLE.” One of the main concerns preventing Bell from signing the permit was traffic, which has been resolved by handing out passes to neighbours so that they can avoid the blockages. In addition, there will be 35 officers on site directing attendees around the area to ensure no problems arise. The Richer Than I Ever Been artist will be responsible for providing off-street parking and prohibited from using lighting for outdoor activities past 10 PM.

Even with a few restrictions placed on him, it still sounds as though the former correctional officer has big plans for his year’s event. Among them are live performances from the Biggest Boss himself and Gucci Mane, as well as over $300,000 in incredible prizes. Will you be attending Rick Ross’ annual car and bike show at the Promise Land next Saturday? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Fat Joe Weights In On Rick Ross & DJ Envy Beef: “Don’t Like It”

Fat Joe says he’s unhappy with the ongoing feud between Rick Ross and DJ Envy. The New York rapper addressed the beef during a video posted on his Instagram page, Monday. He called both of them “beautiful” people.

“Don’t like what’s going on with Rick Ross and DJ Envy,” Joe said. “Don’t like it. I love ’em both. Beautiful men in their own right, successful, do their thing. I don’t like where it’s going. I know I’ve had my share of beefing with people, but I don’t like it because they’re both beautiful, beautiful people.”

Envy and Ross have been feuding for weeks during the run-up to both of their car shows. Ross initially took a jab at the Breakfast Club co-host during his interview on Drink Champs. He remarked that Envy was “never on my level” when it comes to hosting car shows. From there, the two traded shots back and forth online.

“DJ Envy, you just gave me a good idea. I just told the people who are coming to clean up my pool to hold on ’cause I said Envy and his seven sons can come over here, y’all can handle this pool for the pool party, July 2nd,” Ross taunted in one Instagram Story video. On Monday morning’s episode of The Breakfast Club, Envy arrived on set in a correctional officer uniform to troll Ross. “I could tell he was rattled,” Envy said of Ross’ response to his comments. “So I wore this today to make him feel a little more comfortable.” Envy went on to joke about Rick Ross’ boss being a prison warden in Miami.

DJ Envy Gets 50 Cent Involved In Rick Ross Car Show Beef

Screen Shot 2023 05 22 at 1.56.54 PM

With both Rick Ross and DJ Envy hosting their individual car shows within the next month, a lot of friendly jabs have been taken on social media on both sides, but now The Breakfast Club co-host has brought a more serious element to the rivalry by adding 50 Cent to the conversation.

After a week of back ad forth between he and Ross, Envy posted a pic of him and Ross’ longtime foe 50 chilling together at a restaurant. Envy then quoted Drake’s “Stay Schemin” as the caption, which read, “It bothers me when the gods get to acting like the broads, Guess every team doesn’t come complete with n-ggas like ours, That’s why I see no need to compete with n-ggas like y’all,” he wrote. “[Queens Get The Money] @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi @50cent #CarShowSeason #BeigeRage.”

Ross started the rift by stating on Drink Champs that Envy was “never on my level” when it comes to car shows. Envy fired back on The Breakfast Club by talking about Ross’ permit issues for his car show slated for June 3 in Georgia.

“My car show in Memphis is still going down at the same venue, same place,” Envy said while promoting his own upcoming car shows. “It is May 28th in Memphis. We’re going to have cars from Young Dolph, 50 Cent, Key Glock and myself…and then Houston, we doing it at the same venue — we not moving — at the NRG Stadium as well. The ‘Drive Your Dreams’ Car Show, Father’s Day weekend.”

Rick Ross Fires Back At DJ Envy Again

Rick Ross has called out DJ Envy on Instagram, once again, after the Breakfast Club host brought up the rapper’s history as a correctional officer on Monday. Both Ross and Envy will be hosting rival car shows in the coming weeks.

In the new video, Ross shows off the pool at his house while labeling DJ Envy “envious.” He called for Envy to come to his pool and DJ for him with his sons.

Last week, Envy alleged that Ross Airbnbs his house. “Let’s be honest right. Rick Ross. You Airbnb your home!” Envy said. “The house that you sleep in! Eddie Murphy slept in your bed. They shot Coming to America and made Eddie Murphy milk your bed.” He continued: “I’m not that guy that’s going to charge somebody $500 to get in because I couldn’t sleep with myself. I’m doing it with Paper Route which is the company that Young Dolph owns you idiot! Yeah you have 200, 300 cars. Yeah you’re absolutely right [but] most of them are trash. They’re garbage. If you go through mine, they’re quality. Think about it. I haven’t said anything. You started with Drink Champs… that just tells me your ticket sales are not doing well.”

So what you doing in Memphis, that’s for Dolph and I believe Dolph legacy should live on. But make sure every penny you make, you donate to Dolph family. You see that [pointing to a custom rug with Dolph’s face]. I been had that Dolph rug made, Ricky Rozay, so that’s what it’s about.”

He added: “And Envy, don’t nobody build cars to come to your car show. Don’t nobody drive from out of state to come to your car show, Envy. Da Beige Rage. You see? But make sure them people got everything they need, Envy. And Memphis, y’all better hold Envy to it.”
