Cardi had previously live-streamed her reaction to Brian Szasz’s post about going to the Blink-182 concert while his stepfather Hamish Harding was lost at sea (or under it, more accurately), saying, “You’re supposed to be at the house, sad. Per his website bio, Netto’s work is “known for trying to bring to modernism a touch of warmth and personality, and to traditionalism young energy and a dash of the exotic.”

In the clip, Owens brought up an example of having a crush on a Black high school classmate who said he wouldn’t snitch. The boy stood his ground, even when asked if he would tell the police if he saw someone kill a child. Owens said she didn’t want any part of the street code many in the Black community adhere to.
“But what happened and what is playing out with Megan Thee Stallion in her real life, not in just her performance life, is one of the most hideous things that I’ve ever seen,” Owens also stated. “The fact that the person behind this has not been canceled is incredible to me.”
What’s wild is that I know that most of the people commenting didn’t listen to the whole video clip. She is using this case as a way to talk down about African Americans. How are people saying that she is right? Are y’all OK with her talking shit about our people?

Juneteenth was, rather famously, the day that African-Americans in Texas were liberated after they were purposely kept ignorant of Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation and remained in slavery for more than two years after the practice was outlawed. But Owens is, for some reason, against making it clear that Black Americans weren’t really free on the 4th of July back in 1776 and recognizing Juneteenth as a federal holiday, like the Senate just unanimously agreed to do. Since nearly every other conservative thinker was offended by Cardi’s “WAP” video, Tucker Carlson didn’t want to be left out. If the “WAP” visual didn’t give conservatives enough to complain about, Cardi and Megan gave an equally-raunchy 2021 Grammys performance of the song.
