Fabolous Unimpressed By Mural Of Him, Biggie, Jay-Z, And More

A new clip of a man roasting a Brooklyn mural depicting various notable hip hop artists has gone viral. In the clip, the man highlights portraits of Jay-Z, Biggie, and more, mocking them for being unrealistic. Another artist depicted in the mural is Fabolous, but the man claims the portrayal doesn’t do him any justice. “Is this really supposed to be Fabolous?” he asks, suggesting that the painting could be any number of people, including Soulja Boy.

As the clip continues to make its rounds, Fabolous chimed in earlier this week, seeming to agree with the commentary. He weighed in in the comments section of the clip, claiming that the whole thing ought to be destroyed. “Nah what block is this?” he wrote alongside a laughing emoji. “We gotta knock this wall down.”

Several fans also replied to Fabolous’ comment, poking more fun at the mural. This isn’t the only viral conversation the artist’s chimed into as of late, however. During an interview last week, he spoke on DJ Envy’s real estate scam allegations, claiming that he himself nearly invested. He recalled a phone call with the DJ, who sold it to him as a great opportunity to make some serious cash. According to him, he wasn’t all too convinced, and he never wound up investing.

“He was tellin’ me about some real estate stuff,” he began. “I’m just a guy that gotta see things through a little bit more. I don’t just get hyped at … y’know, it be a lotta ‘get money’ — I don’t want to call it a scam or a scheme — but a lotta ‘get money’ ideas that come to you, so I just gotta see ’em through. Drake Doppelganger Turns Up Club Night In Brooklyn To Hilarious Viral Results

Fake Drake strikes again… well, not the one you already know, but a completely new doppelgänger throwing his hat into the ring. Moreover, a clip recently went viral of a fan impersonating the OVO mogul at a Brooklyn nightclub as they played his classic 2011 track “Take Care.” You can see a lot of camera lights on him as people are taking note of his cornrows, his large grey sweatshirt akin to the “Hotline Bling” music video fit, and the fact that he knows every single word to the song. Of course, it doesn’t look exactly like Drizzy, so maybe it’s not as convincing as people would like it to be for this level of virality. Nevertheless, it’s the passion that counts, and people’s cheers speak louder than words.

Furthermore, you can hear as many folks in the crowd sang along to every word of “Take Care” alongside this new Fake Drake. Not only that, but it’s possible that this was one of those club nights during which they advertise a specific artist for the dance floor. Maybe it was OVO night at this Brooklyn venue, and the fan had to come well-dressed for the occasion and prepared to impress and prompt the typical “Oh my God, you look just like him, that is so funny!” comment from a patron or two… or the whole joint. Also, the big elephant to address is that yes, it is Halloween season, so this makes it a little less random.

On top of all of that, it’s also around the time of Drake’s birthday, which gives fans yet another reason to celebrate. After all, the now-37-year-old did plenty over the past few days to celebrate. For example, the RIAA gave him a couple more certifications and made him the first artist to sell over 200 million certified single units.

Kai Cenat has quickly become one of the largest creators on the planet. Overall, he is known for his incredible Twitch streams where he entertains tens of thousands of people. Although some may not “get” the whole streaming thing, there is no doubt that Kai knows what he is doing. He has a lot of young people watching his streams, and if you can keep the youth engaged, you’ll always find success. That said, Kai has not been without his fair share of controversies as of late.

Firstly, Cenat was arrested after hosting a meet & greet in New York City. The entire situation was not his fault, although police claim he incited a riot. Secondly, he was just mentioned in the Drake and Joe Budden beef. This subsequently led to a fiery response during his stream last night. However, there are happier things going on in Kai’s life. For instance, one of his biggest crushes, Latto’s sister Brooklyn, posted a video of him on her Instagram page. As you can imagine, he saw it and reacted accordingly.

In the clip above, Cenat goes through the full range of emotions. After being told by a viewer that he was on her page, he immediately went over and looked for himself. Although he couldn’t find it at first, he eventually found the video of himself in one of her posts. Of course, this had him feeling on top of the world. Moreover, he continuously played mood-appropriate sounds from his soundboard. It led to an entertaining clip that we’re sure his fans ended up appreciating.

SZA Has A Blast Onstage In Brooklyn, Teases Mini “Lana” Tour

Over the weekend, SZA brought her SOS tour to Brooklyn, gracing the stage at Barclays Center on October 6 and 7. By the looks of things, the hitmaker had a blast, going wild onstage and showing off her moves in a new clip making its rounds online. The NYC crowd certainly matched her energy, praising the hitmaker for her enthusiastic performance on social media.

SZA is scheduled to perform in the midwest next, stopping in Chicago and St. Louis before heading to the south. She’ll wrap up her SOS tour in December, closing with dates in Phoenix, NYC, and Boston. It’s no secret that SZA puts on some impressing live performances, and it looks like fans could be in for even more shows. The “Kill Bill” songstress took to Twitter recently, sharing that she’s been considering going on an “intimate mini tour” in support of the deluxe edition of her SOS album, Lana.

“Was thinking I wanna do an intimate mini tour for deluxe,” she wrote. SZA made it clear, however, that she’ll only be stopping in the cities that have shown her the most love throughout her SOS tour. “But ONLY in the most turnt cities form SOS tour,” she added. “I made a list . Y’all deserve a reward . I’m so grateful.” The only cities she’s seemingly confirmed as a sure bet for the hypothetical tour are Atlanta and Baltimore.

Fans are out in full force, pleading her to come to their respective cities. Though she’s yet to officially announce anything, supporters are looking forward to more news on the Lana tour. Jay-Z And His Mother Were Among The Honorees At Brooklyn Library Gala

Jay-Z has continued to represent New York and Brooklyn in particular as much as anyone. For all the love he’s shown his hometown over the years, it’s paying him back. Recently the Brooklynn Public Library hosted a Gala where both Jay and his mother Dr. Gloria Carter were honored. He was introduced by NYC Mayor Eric Adams and gave a speech that had fans both in person and online cracking up.

“I figured if these young men could speak on behalf of their dad, I could speak on behalf of my mom. Dr. Gloria had to see a doctor earlier. She’s gonna be very upset that I told y’all that. She gave me a very bad excuse and I couldn’t do it and lie to the good people of Brooklyn,” Jay-Z opened his speech to laughs in the room. That wasn’t even the only hilarious line he delivered about his mother. “I think she’s hungover. There’s no other way to put it. Over the weekend, Jay-Z hosted an event of his own. It was a high-roller James Bond-themed casino party with a stacked celebrity guest list. The party was a charity event seeking to raise money for criminal justice reform through the REFORM Alliance. They achieved a pretty lofty goal of raising $24 million to donate to the charity.

One name who wasn’t at the casino event was Beyonce. Jay-Z’s own wife missed the event but had a pretty good reason. She had just wrapped up the final show on her Renaissance tour. The massive tour concluded the night before the casino event so it’s hard to blame her for missing out. Kendrick Lamar Prepping To Buy A Condo In Brooklyn For $9 Million

Though he will probably continue to rep his hometown of Compton forever, Kendrick Lamar appears to be on the move. The rapper is reportedly undergoing a major move for himself, fiancé Whitney Alford, and the couple’s two children. According to All Hip Hop, the pair are finalizing the paperwork to purchase a penthouse at Brooklyn’s The Pierhouse near Brooklyn Bridge Park. The spot he’s getting reportedly has an asking price of $8.99 million but that’s for a good reason. The excess space both indoor and outdoor and the incredible view of the Brooklyn Bridge and skyline are hard to put a price tag on. Check out the view below.

The Pierhouse has also long been rumored to be the residence of Ed Sheeran, giving them plenty of familiarity working with superstars. Jay-Z and Beyonce are also reportedly considering picking up property there according to 6sqft. Just last week, Kendrick Lamar was announced as a headliner for Tyler, The Creator’s Los Angeles staple Camp Flog Gnaw music festival. He will join a stacked lineup including SZA, Baby Keem, Ice Spice, Earl Sweatshirt, and many more performing at the fest.

The news of Kendrick Lamar moving forward with this penthouse purchase comes just a few weeks after he reportedly toured a different residence in town. That place was reportedly going for an even more extravagant $10 million price tag. The news of this purchase also comes just a few weeks after Noname called out Kendrick by name in a song on her new album.

Though Kendrick Lamar released his new album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers last year he hasn’t been quiet since. Earlier this month, Conway the Machine shared a similar video of himself meeting up with the legendary rapper. “One of my favorite, favorite human beings ever, and definitely one of my favorite MCs ever — all eras!” Busta said emphatically in the clip. “That n***a will beat y’all fucking face in with the bars. Fat Joe Joins 50 Cent Onstage At Brooklyn Performance

50 Cent stopped at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on his “Final Lap” tour earlier this week, surprising audience members with a very special guest. He brought out fellow New York legend Fat Joe, who performed “Lean Back” and “All The Way Up.” By the sounds of things, fans were extremely excited to see the duo together. Famously, they had a heated feud that lasted years, and finally put their beef to rest in 2012 following Chris Lighty’s passing.

Fat Joe wasn’t the only surprise guest he brought out at his Brooklyn performance. During the show, he also welcomed Young M.A. to the stage, who went on to perform “Ooouuu!” 50 Cent will continue to make several stops around the U.S. and Canada before moving on to the international leg of “The Final Lap” tour. He has notable performances scheduled in LA, Chicago, Seattle, and more before heading to the Netherlands at the end of September.

In an interview with Cam Capone News last month, Fat Joe dished on his previous beef with Fif, revealing that he was pretty shocked he had the courage to diss him. Apparently, 50 Cent went after him due to his association with Ja Rule. “It was so brilliant because it was the shock and awe effect,” he explained. “I had the persona of New York Suge Knight. Like, y’know, people feared Fat Joe and the Terror Squad in that way, y’know? So for [50 Cent] talking about Fat Joe in the same city … the funeral homes was making bids.”

Later in the interview the artist also revealed that his beef with 50 Cent actually ended up teaching him a few things. “I had to learn how to not be impulsive,” he shared. He added that social media was new to him at the time, and amid the drama he was able to learn how to navigate it. “It’s not for real real street guys. We just don’t know how to react on there,” he explained.
