Ben Simmons “Probably Not” Returning To Nets This Season

Ben Simmons probably won’t return to the Brooklyn Nets court anytime this season, says Nets head coach Jacque Vaughn. Moreover, the former Philadelphia 76ers player hasn’t joined his Brooklyn teammates on a court since before the All-Star Weekend break. Ahead of the team’s Saturday night (March 25) game against the Miami Heat, Vaughn clarified the status of Simmons’ playtime. Furthermore, he said that he continues to deal with an injury, specifically a nerve impingement in his back. While this is official reason enough, many expressed enough disappointment in his Nets performance that they think more unfortunate moves are at play.

“For me as a coach, there’s some things that I can control, some things that I can’t control,” Vaughn said according to Tim Reynolds of AP. “What I can’t control is the impingement. What I can control is getting this group ready to play. And then in all honesty, the realism that he’s probably not going to join us for the rest of the year … certainty will come once he continues to be looked at by specialists.”

Ben Simmons Unlikely To Return To Nets This Season

Considering those back injuries, it’s unfortunate to see them contribute to what many call one of the biggest falls from grace in NBA history. Many might call that a stretch, but it shows the kind of potential that a player like the 26-year-old can demonstrate. For example, his injury issues coincided with what many interpret as a lack of confidence, lackluster performances in the league, and a lack of motivation to play basketball. Moreover, this development comes after the team announced his impingement on Friday (March 24), and after he missed all 16 games the Nets played in the second half of the year.

Even then, his stats in the games he did play didn’t paint him as a valuable asset to lose. Furthermore, he averaged 6.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.3 steals in 26.3 minutes per game. Ben Simmons’ career has been on the decline for a while now. Overall, he just isn’t the player he used to be. After an abysmal showing in the 2021 NBA Playoffs, Simmons lost all of his confidence. Subsequently, he refused to play for the Philadelphia 76ers. Once he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets, he became non-existent. Back issues and other injury problems have completely kept him out of the lineup. That said, it seems likely that the Nets will try and find a way to get rid of him in the not-so-distant future.

Consequently, fans have completely lost favor with Simmons. They don’t really see what kind of value he brings to the NBA anymore. He has almost made it crystal clear that he has no interest in actually playing basketball. Overall, it is one of the worst falls from grace we have ever seen in the entire history of the NBA. As it turns out, the fall from grace is getting even worse as Simmons has just lost his representation.

Ben Simmons Moves Forward

According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, Simmons and Klutch Sports have “mutually decided to part ways.” For those who may not know, Klutch Sports is run by Rich Paul, who is LeBron’s, right-hand man. Simmons and Klutch had worked together since he was drafted into the league. However, they are now moving on from one another. Although, if you were to ask NBA Twitter about this, they would immediately tell you that this was Klutch Sports’ decision. At the end of the day, Simmons was making Paul’s brand look bad, and they decided to take action.

At this point, fans have completely fallen out of favor with Simmons. They think he is a scrub and that he is mostly useless to any team that tries to acquire him. It is an unfortunate situation, although that’s the way these things go. Being a professional athlete is not for everyone, and despite having the talent, you also need the mentality and the attitude. Ben Simmons Continues To Be A No-Show

Ben Simmons used to be an elite player in the NBA. However, things have gone south for him over the last couple of years. It mostly started in the 2021 playoffs when Simmons was awful against the Atlanta Hawks. Overall, the Sixers fanbase turned on him and it ruined his confidence. Subsequently, he held out from the Sixers and forced them to trade him. Last year, they made it happen as he was sent to the Brooklyn Nets. As we all know, he never played a single game with them until this season.

Although, it is not like Simmons was especially good in the games that he did play. Simmons was doing nothing on offense as he seemed scared to shoot the ball. While he did rack up assists, it was not what the Nets were expecting of him. Besides, it was all for nothing as Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were promptly traded from the team. Now, Simmons is still with the Nets, but he hasn’t played in weeks. This is due to lingering back issues that have left Nets fans completely frustrated.

Recently, Brian Lewis of The New York Post asked Nets head coach Jacque Vaughn about Simmons. Essentially, fans should not expect to be back on the court, anytime soon. “Yeah, I think first of all I’ll just be pretty simple. He’s still managing his back and knee soreness,” Vaughn said. “He’s back home in Brooklyn. We’ll get a chance to kind of see where he’s at when we get back home after this trip.” Overall, this is just more of the same from Simmons. He is never healthy when his team needs him to be, and at this point, it is hard to imagine him ever being a star again.

There have been reports that Simmons’ trade value is completely cooked. No one is trying to acquire him as he would just be dead weight. The legendary artist has his very own show called It Is What It Is. Moreover, the show also features Mase as a co-host. Overall, it is a great concept, especially if you are a New York sports fan. Cam has a particular attachment to his New York teams, and he just wants the best for them. Although, when they are playing poorly, he does not hold back on what their issues are. For instance, while speaking on the Nets recently, Cam’ron absolutely obliterated Ben Simmons.

Cam’ron Refuses To Hold Back

“Ben Simmons, at this point you are costing me money,” Cam began. “I don’t know where you’re gonna go but get the f*** out of New York. We don’t really want you around. You’re a disgrace. Philly, y’all are suckers for shipping him over to us. Y’all can take him.” This is about as harsh as it can get when it comes to sports analysis. However, Simmons should be very used to it by now. He has been awful as a member of the Nets. Furthermore, it feels like he isn’t even trying to get on the court. Instead, he is just constantly injured which makes for a very rough go of things.

It seems like the Nets are already looking to move on From Simmons. However, it is going to be hard to do that as there is no trading market for him. Ben Simmons’ Looming Fate In Brooklyn Revealed

Ben Simmons has not been very good for the Brooklyn Nets. Overall, he was supposed to turn the Nets into a big three. This big three would include Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. However, we know how that turned out. Kyrie and KD are now in the Western Conference, while Simmons is by himself on a Nets team that has completely retooled. Moreover, Simmons has not been particularly good, and the team is starting to lose patience with him. Needless to say, things have gone bad to worse for his career.

According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports, Simmons’ fate is pretty well sealed. It is now very likely that the Nets will try to move him, even if it isn’t easy to do. “What becomes of Simmons and the final two years and nearly $80 million remaining on his contract after this season is of course another dynamic to monitor in Brooklyn,” Fischer wrote. “The Nets are widely expected to gauge what trade market could materialize for Simmons after his disappointing campaign comes to a close. The three-time All-Star is still far from the form he exhibited during his best days in Philadelphia.”

Recently, a report came out suggesting that Simmons had no trade value right now. If that is actually true, then the Nets are in big trouble moving forward. Ben Simmons has not had a very good season with the Brooklyn Nets. Ever since being traded to the team, Simmons has had excuse after excuse. Overall, Nets fans are already growing tired of him. This ultimately makes the Nets a gutted team with just a few players left. One of those players is none other than Ben Simmons. When he was in Philadelphia, Simmons was a player who could carry by himself. Although, this is no longer the case and as you can imagine, the jokes are already starting to fly on social media.

Ben Simmons has been having a very difficult time with the Brooklyn Nets. Of course, he had his fair share of issues when it came to the Philadelphia 76ers. Subsequently, this led to a blockbuster trade including James Harden. So far, the Sixers have won that deal as Simmons has done close to nothing with Brooklyn. Overall, his offensive game is almost non-existent, and the team isn’t getting what they bargained for. He has one of the worst contracts in the entire league, and the Nets are simply fed up with what they’ve seen. Additionally, with Kyrie Irving gone, the Nets are now exceptionally depleted.

On Thursday, teams throughout the NBA will be scrambling to improve their teams. This is because it is the trade deadline. For many NBA fans, this is the best day of the regular season. Some big trades get made, and consequently, there is plenty to talk about. Although, for a team like the Nets, the trade deadline could be a make-or-break moment for them. They clearly need more talent to support Kevin Durant, and one would think Ben Simmons could be a trade piece.

However, you would be wrong about the above assumption. According to Bobby Marks on ESPN, Ben Simmons has virtually no trade value. There isn’t a single team that is interested in his contract. In the NBA, you can go from hero to zero rather quickly, and no one has demonstrated that more than Ben Simmons.

Like many NBA players, Ben Simmons isn’t just known for his work on the court – his love life also keeps him in the news near-constantly. As you may recall, the 26-year-old was previously engaged to English TV host Maya Jama after a whirlwind romance. Things between them, unfortunately, didn’t end as expected. Recently, the athlete took legal action to have the ring he proposed to his ex with returned.

Upon receiving the demand letter, the brunette beauty’s team says she was shocked, but happy to comply with the request. It remains unclear if she’s been seeing anyone else in between her hosting duties on Love Island. However, we do know that Simmons seems to have moved on. According to Page Six, he was out in New York City with a certain actress earlier this weekend.

The Brooklyn Nets player and 33-year-old Eiza González were photographed in the Big Apple on Friday (February 3). Apparently, they’ve been seeing one another on the low for months. “They’ve been hiding and trying not to get seen [together],” an insider tells the outlet.

During their date night, the rumoured couple were photographed leaving Manhattan’s Bondst restaurant. It’s a high-end sushi place, and the pair are said to have dined alongside “a group of friends.” A source notes that “They weren’t alone [for the dinner], but they are very clearly together.”

The images taken don’t show any PDA between the two, but they allegedly went back to Simmons’ place together afterward. It remains unclear if she spent the night, or how serious the couple considers their union to be at this time. The baller clearly has a type, as he’s been involved with plenty of dark-haired beauties in the past.

He previously dated Kendall Jenner for two years, from 2017 to 2019. Their romance was inconsistent in nature, and the model eventually moved on with Devin Booker, who she’s also no longer with. Yet another starlet who once was seeing Simmons is 333 singer, Tinashe.

Maya Jama Returning Ex Ben Simmons’ $1M Engagement Ring After Athlete Sends Legal Demand

Just like the rest of us, celebrities often experience the pain of heartbreak within their romantic relationships. Unfortunately for them, the drama is played out for the entire world to see – and comment on. Most recently, formerly engaged couple Maya Jama and Ben Simmons have been the talk of the town. This is thanks to the astounding $1M engagement ring he surprised her with in December of 2021.

At the time, the pair seemed happier than ever together. The NBA player popped the question to his partner after a seven-month whirlwind love story. By September 2022, however, they called it quits.

“It’s been a difficult time for them. While they both care for each other so much, they truly gave it their all and realize that they just come from two different worlds. They now understand they don’t have the time they thought to dedicate to this relationship,” a source dished to the New York Post last fall.

Additionally, we hear that things between Simmons and Jama came to an end on good terms. Interestingly, the latest reports infer that might not still be the case. A story from The Sun claims that the athlete sent the Love Island host a legal letter demanding that she return the costly ring he proposed with.

“Given Ben has never, until now, asked for the ring back, you can appreciate the letter came somewhat as a surprise to Maya,” an insider tells the outlet. As for the other side of the story, “Ben was in shock when she left and didn’t give him the ring back.”

“He was madly in love with her. [He] thought it was forever so was really pissed she didn’t give it back. It cost around $1 million and they were engaged less than a year.”

A rep for Jama spoke with Daily Mail about the ongoing debacle. “Maya received a request from Ben’s representatives on Friday afternoon. It asked her to return the engagement ring that he gave her as a gift last year,” they explained.

“This was the first time that she has been asked by Ben to return it. For the avoidance of any doubt, she has never refused to return it.” The source also notes that the European entertainer is “making arrangements to return the ring to Ben and wishes him all the best.”

The trial between the state of California vs. Tory Lanez over the 2020 shooting incident of Megan Thee Stallion began yesterday. Already the case is heating up after the defense revealed some previously unknown information to the jury, and some information regarding Brooklyn Nets point guard Ben Simmons.

According to the defense, Tory Lanez told Megan’s former best friend Kelsey Harris that the Traumazine artist had been going behind her back and sleeping with the same men that her best friend slept with. Tory included himself, DaBaby, and Ben Simmons in that list of men.

Shortly after the internet found out that Ben Simmons had been sleeping with Meg and Kelsey, the Brooklyn Nets star decided to take to Instagram where he shared a recent meme of Rick Ross screaming “Accusations! False accusations,” during an AEW wrestling promo.

While prosecutors try to establish that Tory Lanez shot Megan Thee Stallion in the feet and yelled “dance bitch” out of the car, the defense is saying that there is a lot to the story that the prosecution is withholding. The defense argues that Lanez, Kelsey, and Megan were at Kylie Jenner’s house, and Meg and Kelsey got mad at Tory when she saw him in the pool with Kylie. Meg however caused a scene and Kylie told her to leave.

The three got in the car and Tory questioned Kelsey why she was defending her friend even though Meg was going behind her back and sleeping with the same men she was involved with. A fight between the two former best friends would ensue, and the rest is history.
