Megan Thee Stallion May Not Be Ben Simmons’ New Boo, Despite The Romance Rumors Circulating Online

As if everyone’s favorite H-Town hottie didn’t have enough on her plate, as the center of one of hip-hop’s most heated criminal trials against singer Tory Lanez for allegations of assault, that hasn’t stopped social media users from linking the “NDA” rapper has been looped into a new rumored romance.

What’s the rumor? Well, according to the whispers, Megan Thee Stallion is now seeing NBA player Ben Simmons. After stepping away from social media following a spat with rapper Drake over the lyrics included in his song “Circo Loco” with 21 Savage, the rumors grew even bigger. Fortunately, the Brooklyn Net star took a moment to put the rumor to bed indirectly.

The notoriously private basketballer, who is fresh off a breakup with model and reality tv star Kendall Jenner, uploaded a video clip of Rick Ross yelling, “Accusations. These are false accusations” on his Instagram story as his unofficial comment.

It may seem out of place, but the video clip is short and direct, leaving viewers of the story with no room to misinterpret his message.

Ben Simmons Reacts To Rumors He Slept With Megan Thee Stallion & Her Ex-BFF Kelsey

This trial has Hip Hop at attention, and more is being revealed about Tory Lanez, Megan Thee Stallion…and Ben Simmons. In July 2020, Megan was injured during an altercation in Hollywood Hills. She later came forward to allege that Lanez, her former friend, shot her in the foot. He denied the allegations, and during the opening statements of his trial, Lanez’s defense team contested that Kelsey Nicole Harris is the person responsible.

According to several reports that emerged today (December 12), the defense argues that Harris and Megan got into a verbal argument while inside an SUV with Lanez. He was said to have revealed he had a sexual relationship with Megan, causing a fight between the ladies. Lanez reportedly dated Harris some time prior.

Additionally, the defense team claims during this spat, Harris wasn’t surprised. She allegedly said Megan did this in the past—having sex with men she dated, including DaBaby and Ben Simmons.

After the information went viral, The Shade Room returned with a report of its own. They claim they spoke with a “source” who accused Lanez and his defense team of lying because Harris doesn’t know Simmon “at all.”

The public has weighed in heavily on the new revelations from both the prosecution and the defense during opening statements. Yet, people were tuned as they waited for Simmons’ reaction.

The NBA baller didn’t outright release a statement about allegedly having sex with the ex-best friends. However, he uploaded a clip of Rick Ross to his Instagram Story where the Florida icon yelled, “Accusations! False accusations!”

Meanwhile, the prosecution claims that not only did Lanez shoot Megan, but he punched Harris. They also state they have audio of a jail call from Lanez to Harris where he apologized.

Megan is reportedly set to testify this week. Harris will take the stand, as well, as a witness for the prosecution.

Kyrie Irving Gives Ben Simmons Some Words Of Encouragement

Ben Simmons is currently practicing with the Brooklyn Nets at training camp this week, and so far, he has impressed his teammates, as well as his head coach. It is clear that Simmons wants to get back to the court, and he is doing everything he can to make sure he proves the detractors wrong this season.

According to Sports Illustrated, Kyrie Irving has been taking notice of Simmons, and he is a firm believer that Simmons can be a huge factor for the Nets this season. In fact, when asked about his role, Irving believes Simmons could be placed anywhere on the court and still thrive.

“Anything’s possible,” Irving said. “He [Simmons] has that ‘it’ inside of him so now we just have to slowly develop him where he knows that he can just go out there and be himself. We want him to be his highest potential of himself as a player, be able to accomplish things out on the floor that he wasn’t able to do the last few years. And just have some fun being at peace around him.”

If the Nets don’t fall into any bad habits, they could very well have an incredible season. Hopefully, that is the case as Nets fans cannot go through another year of dysfunction.

Steve Nash Gives His Honest Thoughts On Ben Simmons

Ben Simmons is back on the court as he works out with the Brooklyn Nets amid the start of training camp. This is obviously great news for the Nets who are going to need a healthy Simmons this season if they want to turn the tide and become the team they were supposed to be last season.

Simmons has gotten a chance to show his teammates what he can do, and so far, he has impressed his coach, Steve Nash. While speaking to Nick Friedell of ESPN, Nash had some massive compliments for Simmons, and he even explained how he doesn’t particularly care about his lack of a jump shot.

“Very unique,” Nash said. “That’s what makes Ben great. That’s why I don’t care if he ever shoots a jump shot for the Brooklyn Nets. He’s welcome to, but that is not what makes him special and not what we need. He’s a great complement to our team, and he’s an incredible basketball player because of his versatility.”

It is important for Simmons to get these kinds of co-signs as they will ultimately help his confidence in the long run. He has a lot to prove right now, and this latest endorsement is good news for Nets fans.

Ben Simmons Offers Positive Update On His Nagging Back Injury

Ben Simmons was one of the most scrutinized players in the entire NBA last season. Fans were upset that he wouldn’t play with the Philadelphia 76ers, and they were even more upset when he wasn’t able to make his way to the court while playing for the Nets.

Simmons was suffering from back issues, and after getting surgery five months ago, he is now back on the court and practicing with his teammates. Just a couple of days ago, Simmons could be seen shooting threes, and for the most part, he has been doing very well alongside his Nets teammates.

Yesterday, Simmons provided his fans with a very solid update that should make them excited for the start of the season. As you can see in this report from Kristian Winfield, Simmons believes his back is doing just fine, and that he is actually surprised by how well it has held up since the start of training camp.

“I was surprised today, I got a block. I blocked David Duke. I was shocked,” Simmons said.

This is obviously a good sign for the Nets and hopefully, it means Simmons will play in the first game of the season. If not, then there are going to be droves of Nets fans who will be livid at Simmons, and even the front office for putting up with it all.

Ben Simmons Teams With RISE for Leadership Program To Empower Brooklyn-area Youth

Ben Simmons of the Brooklyn Nets has teamed up with RISE, the premier national organization devoted to eradicating racism through sport, to help underprivileged youngsters in Brooklyn by giving them the resources they need to confront issues of racism, discrimination, and inclusivity in their neighborhoods.

At the Nets’ HSS Training Center, the eight-week leadership program began on Saturday, Sept. 24. The first round of the program, which runs from now through November 12, involves teenagers from Good Shepherd Services.

Participants in the program will be given the opportunity to collaborate in groups to create projects that creatively address important issues of inequality and injustice affecting their communities. In order to debate how they may put their ideas into practice to spur genuine change, each group will showcase their artistic endeavors to Simmons, other athletes, and social justice specialists at the conclusion of the eight-week period.

“I’m excited to partner with RISE, we have the same belief that sport has the power to unite people from all different backgrounds and drive positive change,” said Simmons. “To be able to connect with youth in Brooklyn and create opportunities for future leaders in the community is important to me.”

Participants in the program will play basketball with and learn directly from seasoned instructors from the Brooklyn Nets Basketball Academy while also continuing to hone their leadership abilities both on and off the court. Through RISE’s experiential learning program, students will also have open discussions on issues like racial diversity, leadership, and community development. As part of the leadership program, the group will also receive mental health tools to assist them in overcoming the various obstacles they encounter. Additionally, safe spaces will be created so that difficult but essential dialogues about race and community may take place.

“Addressing racism and creating inclusive and equitable communities demands long-term, intentional action, and requires education, skill development and the ability to engage in difficult conversations with people who have different perspectives and experiences than your own,” said RISE Chief Program Officer Dr. Andrew Mac Intosh. “Sports have the power to unite people of all backgrounds and can be the conduit for creating positive social change. When athletes like Ben Simmons act as true leaders and invest in communities through programs like these, it can have a tremendous impact.”

Ben Simmons Shoots Threes At Nets Practice: Watch

Ben Simmons is known for having a bad shot. Throughout the first few years of his NBA career, Simmons has been roasted on numerous occasions for not getting off shots, while only making enough three-pointers to count on one finger.

When you are a point guard, this kind of playing style is pretty well unacceptable and it has forced his teams to try him out in different roles. Having said that, Simmons is still working on his three-point shot as he just wants to prove everyone wrong. It’s something he works on every year, and now that he is in Brooklyn, fans will be watching him closely to make sure he has truly improved.

This week, Simmons got to start training camp with the Nets, and by all accounts, he will be available to play come opening night.

In the following clip below, Simmons can be seen getting off to a solid start at Nets camp thanks to some three-point shooting drills. Simmons was making his shots and his jumper looks a lot better. Of course, we’ve fallen into this trap before, so there is no telling whether or not this translates into next season.

Hopefully, Simmons can finally prove everyone wrong and show that he can actually hit jumpers. Until then, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from the NBA world.
