Ben Simmons Reveals He Is Back On The Court

Ben Simmons is someone who NBA fans have largely run out of favor with. Overall, there are some obvious and glaring reasons for that. Although he used to be one of the most exciting players in the league, he has fallen off. He barely plays these days, and when he does, he barely puts in any effort. Ultimately, it has been very hard to watch. Some said he was a jump shot away from being as good as LeBron James. However, he will likely never be a superstar-caliber player, ever again.

Throughout this past year with the Brooklyn Nets, Ben Simmons was on and off with his availability. However, once Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were traded, he ultimately just stopped playing altogether. For many fans, this was incredibly frustrating. Although, in the eyes of Simmons, it was for a good reason. He had been suffering from back issues, including an impingement to a nerve in his back. Subsequently, there were rumblings about Simmons’ commitment to basketball and whether or not he would even come back.

Ben Simmons Confident About Bounce Back Next Season

Ben Simmons crashed out of the 2022/23 NBA season on March 28. The Australian guard had struggled with nerve inflammation for most of the month, as well as dealing with a number of other injuries over the course of the season. The Nets, cautious about injuring Simmons further, opted to shut him down for the season as opposed to rushing him back for the playoffs.

The season, Simmons’ first with the Nets, saw him play in just 42 games. He averaged just 6.9 points per game and saw other dropoffs across the board. It was far from the start of his post-Sixers career that Simmons was likely hoping for. However, Simmons is remaining optimistic, and recent comments have outlined where his mentality is at regarding next season. Simmons is owed $78.2 million over the next two seasons, according to his current contract.

“Ben has been cleared to progress to his next stage of his rehab and is progressing really well,” Simmons’ agent Bernie Lee told The New York Post‘s Brian Lewis Wednesday. “And we remain very excited about his ability to return to form next year.” That next step appeared to be open-court practice, as Simmons posted to his Instagram story from a gym in Miami. Furthermore, the news indicates that unlike the Nets had feared, Simmons will not have to undergo further surgery, be it for his knee or back.

Additionally, Simmons is looking to get back to the court before the start of the next NBA season. In particular, the guard is eyeing the chance to represent Australia at the FIBA World Cup. This year’s World Cup, the second to feature 32 teams, is set to be co-hosted by Indonesia, Japan, and the Philippines. Starting on August 25, the training camp for the Australian National Team begins on August 1. Simmons made his national debut in 2013 but has withdrawn from all subsequent national team call-ups. Australia face Germany, Finland, and Japan in the group stage. How do you feel about the Ben Simmons situation? Let us know in the comments. Stephen A. Smith Trashes Ben Simmons For Sixers Diss

Stephen A. Smith is a person who shows absolutely no mercy when he talks about certain athletes. In fact, his new podcast is quite literally called Know Mercy. Overall, Smith can be offensive with his commentary because he is so blunt. Although some athletes do take offense, he does not care. He gets paid to “tell the truth,” and he will continue to do so. His way of doing things has ultimately made him the success he is today. Additionally, without him, ESPN would be in a very bad place.

Over the weekend, Stephen A. found himself watching the NBA Playoffs. Of course, on Sunday, the Boston Celtics played the Philadelphia 76ers in a Game 7. Ultimately, the Sixers were pitiful and consequently, the Celtics won in a blowout. Former Sixers star and current no-show Ben Simmons had fun with this and made fun of them on his Instagram story. Well, Stephen A. did not like this one bit, and on his show today, he absolutely roasted the Nets player. Below, you can see just how scathing this rant was.

Stephen A. Goes In

“The only thing worse than James Harden was that sorry trifling a– Ben Simmons,” Stephen A. began. “How the hell are you talking about a basketball player when you treat putting on a basketball uniform and dribbling, when you treat that as if somebody asked you to get on the front lines in Ukraine to fight Russia? That’s how scared he is to play basketball.” Smith’s comparison in which he claims Simmons treats playing basketball like going to war, is hilariously brutal. However, that really is how it feels sometimes. Ultimately, it is not a great look for Ben.

Moving forward, no one even knows what is going to happen to Ben Simmons. He is not a very good basketball player right now. Moreover, he won’t even play any games. Needless to say, he is not particularly useful, and that could mean a trade is on the horizon. That said, let us know what you think of Smith’s comments, down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news from around the sports world.

“It felt great,” Tatum told ESPN. “This was a back and forth series. Obviously I didn’t play well the first half of the last game and I was just happy to get an opportunity to bounce back. To come back home, game seven on Mother’s Day … I had to put on a special performance for her.”

His last two seasons in Philadelphia saw Simmons appear in less than 60 games in both seasons.

Kevin Garnett’s Message To Ben Simmons

Kevin Garnett is one of the greatest power forwards to ever play the game. The Hall-of-Famer has always been known for his strong personality. A trait that has set him apart from many of his competitors. Sometimes even former teammates. So, when Garnett has an opinion on the game of basketball, you’ll hear the honest truth. No matter how painful it may be to hear. Garnett recently discussed his thoughts on the issues with Ben Simmons. Simmons’ career hasn’t gone the way many believed for the former number-one overall pick. The questions have been heating up since Simmons’ exit from Philadelphia. Just what is holding back his greatness?

Simmons’ one year in college at LSU was a sight to see. Watching a 6’10 point guard control every aspect of the game is not seen often. One could imagine why so many believed he was the guy in the 2016 draft. Now, it seems as if Simmons could be considered one of the biggest draft busts of his generation. The Australian guard never found his footing with his jump shot. An issue that has stuck with him since his college days. However, an issue that many believed could be fixed. So how can Simmons return to being an impactful player? Garnett’s not sure there’s even an answer.

Kevin Garnett Pleas With Ben Simmons To Find The Love

Garnett has one thought on Simmons’ struggles. That is that his heart isn’t in the game. That thought has been a talking point on Simmons for quite some time now. Simmons didn’t play at all last season and has only appeared in 42 games this year for the Nets. Many people with the sport don’t believe Simmons has the mental toughness to succeed in the league. It’s hard to rule that thought out of the equation, as Simmons has seemed to struggle with adversity.

The questions of mental toughness are plausible. So are questions about his physical limits. Simmons has only played over 60 games twice in his five years in the league. Next season will answer many questions that people have about Simmons. Kevin Garnett doesn’t seem to be rooting against the young man. However, guys like Garnett know that your heart must fully be in this game in order to be successful. Does Garnett have a point on his thoughts about Simmons? Will we ever see Ben Simmons at his full potential? Let us know in the comment section below what your thoughts are. For more on the NBA and the latest in sports, stay right here with HNHH.
