6ix9ine Apologizes To Cardi B Over Past Beef, Explains It Was Due To His Ex-Girlfriend

When Cardi B’s name gets caught up in hip-hop drama, it’s most often affiliated with her contemporaries, such as Nicki Minaj. Of course, she has had her share of issues with male artists too, including 6ix9ine. Years ago it was speculated that the “GOOBA” artist named Cardi as a member of the Nine Trey Bloods. At the time, he was working with police as an informant. The Grammy Award winner’s team has since shut down those allegations. Still, 6ix9ine has been known to throw shade at his fellow New Yorker in more recent years.

Back in February 2021, the embattled star publicly dissed Cardi, and while he was dating his ex-girlfriend, Jade, their feud only became more intense. During a new interview on the Alofoke Radio Show, 6ix9ine admitted that his last relationship is what caused a major wedge between him and the 30-year-old. More recently, the controversial artist has been spending time with Yailin Hablan, who appeared alongside him in the sit-down. The entire conversation was recorded in Spanish, but everyone in the room’s passion and good humour still shines through. According to 6ix9ine’s new girl, both of them are supporters of Cardi now.

Elsewhere on camera, the multi-talent spoke about the surprise album he dropped this past New Music Friday (June 16). It seems 6ix9ine is venturing away from his rap roots (especially after being outcast by the genre for his aforementioned snitching) and is instead leaning into the reggaeton market, who have been seriously enjoying his latest body of work.

In other news, Cardi B has been busy focusing on preparing for her highly anticipated sophomore album to drop. To ensure her physique is as camera-looking as always the mother of two underwent another round of laser hair removal last week, which she candidly documented for her IG followers. YK Osiris Issues Second Apology Over Sukihana Incident

On June 14, it was reported that Sukihana was accusing YK Osiris of sexual assault. Sukihana had been providing commentary for a Crew League basketball game when the Jacksonville attempted to kiss her. The Love & Hip Hop: Miami star subsequently deleted her social media, saying that she was “hurt” by the incident and felt scared to stand up for herself.

While Osiris later issued an apology, it was rejected by both Sukihana’s mother and rapper Wack 100. However, Sukihana herself did conditionally accept it. “My accepting his apology is not my excusing or lessening the severity of his actions. This is Destiny choosing to give grace to Osiris.” Despite this, Osiris is facing additional problems, after an ex-employee accused the rapper of assault.

A post shared by The Shade Room (@theshaderoom)

Taking to Instagram, Osiris has issued a second apology, this one directed at this family and fans. “I apologize to my family and supporters I keep letting y’all down. I want to be a better person and focus on my purpose and that’s music, I love y’all so much fr.” He continued. “Don’t wry I got a gift for y’all, since I been bull shitting these past years. I lost everything, my mind, my family, my love for music, I just need help fr.” In the comments of The Shade Room post sharing Osiris’ apology, many fans appear ready and eager to accept the rapper’s words. However, other fans argued that Osiris shouldn’t have to apologize because of a “double standard”. These individuals believe that since Sukihana has never apologized for her sexual behavior, Osiris shouldn’t have to apologize for his.

Osiris is still very much an up-and-coming in terms of mainstream music success. His debut studio album, The Golden Child, peaked at #90 following its 2019 release. Elsewhere, “Worth It”, the album’s lead single, peaked at #48. As he himself mentioned in his Instagram post, he wants to be a better person and focus on his music. Whether that will be the case remains to be seen. Follow all the latest music news here at HotNewHipHop.

Stephen A. Smith Slams Ja Morant’s Suspension Apology

Ja Morant has been suspended for 25 games by the NBA. While the punishment for flashing a gun on Instagram Live feels light to some, Morant will be sidelined until at least early December. However, the 25-game suspension is in line with both what pundits expected and how the NBA has treated suspensions in recent years. Miles Bridges was suspended for 30 games in April after pleading no contest to felony domestic violence charges.

In the wake of the suspension announcement, Morant released a statement. “I’m spending the offseason and my suspension continuing to work on my own mental health and decision making. I’m also going to be training so that I’m ready to go when I can be back on the court. I know my teammates are going to hold it down and I’m so sorry I won’t be out there with you at the beginning of the season. I hope you’ll give me the chance to prove to you over time I’m a better man than what I’ve been showing you,” the statement read in part.

Stephen A. Doesn’t Buy Morant Apology

“Nobody believes you,” Stephen A. Smith began on First Take. “Nobody believes you. I don’t say that flippantly, I’m a fan of Ja Morant. He’s a superstar that I want this game to celebrate for years and years to come. Me, speaking for everybody here, I believe, not just here at ESPN but in the world of sports. Why would we root against you because it’s better for all of us that you put your greatness on display with no troubles whatsoever because I belive this man is going to win a championship some day.”

He continued. “The reason why you’re not believed is because you already lied. [Morant’s statement] sounds somewhat similar to what you already said on camera months ago with your first suspension. You have to understand that you’re not believed, nobody believes you. You’re at a show and prove point. We know what you can do on the basketball court. But now it’s a show and prove point when it comes to your character. Because you not only looked Adam Silver in the face. You went on national TV, got interviewed by Jalen Rose, and you clearly lied. We hope you’re telling the truth. But if you ask someone to bet money on the veracity and truthfulness of your word…ain’t nobody betting money on that, bro.”

Ja Morant Issues Apology After Suspension Reveal

Ja Morant has reportedly been suspended for 25 games after he flashed a gun on Instagram Live in May. While in line with league expectations, the punishment means the Memphis Grizzlies will be without Morant until at least early December. The suspension length was first reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Morant has said very little since he was initially suspended from team activities on May 14. While he did issue an apology after Adam Silver commented on the incident, it was not well received. Morant’s comments were seen as being overly vague and generic. Furthermore, some fans went as to joke that Morant had used a chatbot to generate an apology for him. However, Morant has broken his silence to fully address the incident.

Morant Shares New Apology Following Suspension

Morant’s new apology was first shared by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. “I’ve had time to reflect and I realize how much I’ve caused. I want to apologize to the NBA, the Grizzlies, my teammates, and the city of Memphis. To Adam Silver, Zach Kleiman and Robert Pera – who gave me the opportunity to be a professional athlete and have supported me – I’m sorry for the harm I’ve done. To the kids who look up to me, I’m sorry for failing you as a role model. I promise I’m going to be better. To all my sponsors, I’m going to be a better representation of our brands. And to all my fans, I’m going to make it up to you, I promise.”

He continued. “I’m spending the offseason and my suspension continuing to work on my own mental health and decision making. I’m also going to be training so that I’m ready to go when I can be back on the court. I know my teammates are going to hold id down and I’m so sorry I won’t be out there with you at the beginning of the season. I hope you’ll give me the chance to prove to you over time I’m a better man than what I’ve been showing you.” While hitting all the right beats, the apology sounds very similar to the one he gave after his last suspension. Only time will tell as to whether Morant has truly changed. Follow all the latest sports news here at HotNewHipHop.

Sukihana Accepts YK Osiris’ Apology After He Tries To Forcibly Kiss Her

Sukihana’s accepted YK Osiris’s apology after he forced himself on her in a viral clip earlier this week. After deactivating her social media accounts, the “Eating” rapper issued a statement on Friday morning (June 16) where she explained why she chose to “give grace” to the “Worth It” singer. She explained that Osiris reached out to her publicly and privately after the incident to apologize for his actions, although she insisted she was not excusing his actions. “God always forgives me and I can always forgive others,” she began.

She continued, “My accepting his apology is not my excusing or lessening the severity of his actions. This is Destiny choosing to give grace to Osiris.” Suki explained that YK’s young and she hopes that this becomes a learning experience to “be mindful and respect the personal boundaries of others.” Sukihana added, “I am human, a woman, a mother, and a daughter before I am an entertainer. No matter what my lyrics express, I still have boundaries and a right to have them.”

Sukihana Speaks Out After YK Osiris Apology

In the caption, Sukihana added, “I am a pro black woman and I am not into tearing black men down. This is something I am choosing to forgive him for. I love him and accept his apology. I would like to move on from this.” Her comments came shortly after her mother called out YK Osiris for his apology, which she didn’t believe was actually genuine. “Fake a** apology.. When I catch you it’s still up,” she wrote on Instagram.

Earlier this week, YK Osiris was caught on camera forcibly trying to kiss Sukihana at The Crew League. After a flood of negative responses, YK Osiris issued a public apology on Instagram. “I want to publicly offer my sincerest apology to Sukihana. In an attempt to be playful, I misread the moment and violated Sukihana’s boundaries. I understand the importance of consent and I am embarrassed by my behavior,” he wrote. “I take full responsibility and have made multiple attempts to apologize.” Check out Sukihana’s message above and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.

Sukihana’s Mom Slams YK Osiris’ “Fake Ass Apology”

Amid all the drama surrounding her and YK Osiris, Sukihana has deactivated her Twitter account to choose peace. While the reality starlet takes time out of the spotlight, the internet is continuing to debate whether the R&B singer took things too far when he non-consensually kissed her earlier this week. Amber Rose made it abundantly clear that she thinks Osiris is guilty of sexual assault. On the other hand, Meek Mill is facing backlash of his own for defending the young vocalist.

Another person who entered the debate on the subject is Suki’s mom, Lori. She clearly wasn’t impressed by the 24-year-old’s apology to her daughter. “I want to publicly offer my sincerest apology to Sukihana. In an attempt to be playful, I misread the moment and violated Sukihana’s boundaries,” Osiris wrote via Instagram on Wednesday (June 14). “I understand the importance of consent and I am embarrassed by my behaviour, I take full responsibility and have made multiple attempts to apologize. I have the utmost admiration for Sukihana and it was never my intention to disrespect her.”

While it’s obvious a lot of thought was put into YK’s message, Lori is calling cap on its sincerity. “Fake A** Apology B**ch,” Sukihana’s mom wrote in a since-deleted post seemingly aimed at the “Valentine” artist. “When I catch you it’s still up 🤬,” she later added before writing, “No words” in the caption. Before going offline, the Delaware-born entertainer told fans that she was hurt by the situation and that she often drinks and puts on a bold façade to hide the true sensitive nature of her being.

She obviously has no interest in pursuing things with YK Osiris, but it wasn’t so long ago that Sukihana was brazenly flirting with fellow rap diva Erica Banks on our timelines. Read their salacious exchange at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Meek Mill Responds To Backlash After Appearing To Defend YK Osiris

For some reason, Meek Mill decided to chime into the YK Osiris/Sukihana controversy on Wednesday, and as expected, his comments didn’t necessarily sit with fans. As Osiris faced sexual assault accusations for forcing himself on Sukihana at The Crew League, Meek Mill leaped to the “Worth It” singer’s defense in what many felt was incredibly tone-deaf. “Don’t do this to him please he a good kid,” he wrote. “we don’t need our young bulls tore down for mistakes in this hyper sexual era…. I support suki.”

Fans immediately began piling onto Meek Mill, and rightfully so. His comments came in response to Sukihana expressing her fear, writing, “I am hurt and I am scared to stand up for myself.” Meanwhile, YK Osiris issued an apology, which also wasn’t well-received. “In an attempt to be playful, I misread the moment and violated Sukihana’s boundaries.” He explained that he “understands the importance of consent,” and felt embarrassed by the moment. “I take full responsibility and have made multiple attempts to apologize,” he added.

Meek Mill Responds To Backlash

Shortly after his initial tweet, Meek Mill issued another response to his fans where he criticized the supposed double standard. “Y’all drawing a big line between m*n and wom*n nowadays on social …..it’s getting bad in the black community!  All this internet superficial shaming, judging gaslighting only hurt us  people and it’s alot of people who need strength especially young black men,” he wrote.

Meek’s solution appeared to be having YK Osiris fight Sukihana’s brother. “he might gotta rumble suki brother anything but this same internet tear each other down stuff! Suki can do what she wants she feels violated… but let me mind my business,” he wrote shortly after doing exactly the opposite of minding his business. Still, he reiterated that he supports Sukihana. “And protect suki!  Osiris you a dh! Go back to church stop following the heathens!” he added. Check out his tweets above and sound off with your thoughts in the comment section below.

Former LSU WBB Star Apologizes For WNBA Comments

WNBA preseason is rough. With a hard cap of 144 roster spots available, it’s incredibly hard for rookies to secure a spot in the league. This year, just 15 of the 36 players selected in April’s draft made an opening-day roster Furthermore, several high draft picks from recent years were also released.

Among those cut was Alexis Morris, who was taken at #22 by the Connecticut Sun. Morris played for four college teams between 2017 and 2022. However, she is best remembered for the two seasons she played at LSU. Furthermore, she ended her college career with a National Championship. But Morris’ reaction to her cutting earned her backlash.

Morris Apologizes

In now-deleted tweets, Morris put WNBA veterans on blast after being cut by the Sun. “The vets gotta know when to cut the net, and pass the torch bro,” she wrote. “If you knocking at 35, hang it up and I mean WIRED HANGER ‘Hang it up,” Morris wrote. However, her comments earned her swift and fierce backlash from players across the league. “Don’t speak on someone else to make yourself feel better,” longtime veteran Kayla McBride wrote. “We all got stories. Just go write yours. As a whole the WNBA (is) fighting for respect and each of our stories look different. And should be respected,” she wrote. Furthermore, she added, “Respect the grind. Respect those around you. It’ll get you a long, long way.”

Morris has now apologized for her comments. “To the veterans of the WNBA, please accept my sincerest apologies. I never thought joining the W family would be easy, but now I understand just how hard it is to do that. My energy would have been better served directed toward league executives who have a say in expansion and other logistics. I look forward to celebrating your individual and collective careers and giving you all the flowers you deserve.” She continued, “I hope you can empathize and find it in your hearts to forgive me. I will continue to work hard in hopes of joining you all one day soon.” Additionally, Morris apologized to the fans. Furthermore, follow all the latest sports news here at HotNewHipHop.

Rich The Kid And Tori Brixx Dance Together Following Cheating Scandal

Tori Brixx and Rich The Kid appear to be on good terms, following allegations that the rapper strayed from the relationship and got another woman pregnant. A woman came forward in April, claiming she was pregnant with the rapper’s child and had agreed to a $35k “hush” payment to keep the information from Brixx. She allegedly later sued the rapper for not fulfilling the entire payment. The couple were spotted out recently, however, in good spirits and dancing together.

The clip shared on social media sparked some negative reactions in the comments section. One user wrote, “Yall make it way too easy for these men to come back smh.” “Ladies, we need a self-esteem class!!!!,” said another commenter.

Rich The Kid Is On Good Terms With Tori Brixx

Rich The Kid’s apology to Brixx included various photos of the couple on Instagram. He captioned the post, ”I’d like to make a public apology to my best friend, my lover and fiancée, for any disrespect, disloyalty or allegations of anything.” Adding, “I’m a grown man I’ve done wrong and I’m owning up and asking for forgiveness from a beautiful strong woman that has taken care of not only me but our family for years… I’m not like these other… I know I’ve been wrong and will fix it love you @toribrixx and I am so sorry.”

The rapper was also exposed by a videographer earlier this month, who claims that the artist owes him over $8,000 for his work on a music video shoot. The unpaid videographer took to social media, sharing screenshots of DMs between him and Rich The Kid, along with the invoice. Rich The Kid also called out Billboard earlier this month, after they reinstated their rule that merch bundles, also know as “fan packs,” contribute to a release’s chart placement. He spoke to TMZ about the rule, saying “That’s fire.” He went on to say, “Because them floppin’ a** artists can get- you know what I’m saying- yeah, that’s some bulls**t. But you know what? My new album’s coming out this summer, and I ain’t sellin’ no Crocs with ’em!”

Rich The Kid Makes Apology Post For Tori Brixx Following Cheating Allegations

Rich The Kid landed himself in a lot of hot water after a woman came forward claiming that she was pregnant by him. Not only that, but she reportedly sued the rapper for failing to give her the full hush payment to keep it a secret from his partner Tori Brixx. While not a lot of subsequent news has come out concerning that case, the rapper did come through with an important apology post to his fiancée and child’s mother. In an Instagram post, he featured pictures of the two in different stages of their relationship. In addition, he wrote of his shame and apologetic feelings in the post’s caption.

“”I’d like to make a public apology to my best friend, my lover and fiancée, for any disrespect, disloyalty or allegations of anything,” Rich The Kid penned. “I’m a grown man I’ve done wrong and I’m owning up and asking for forgiveness from a beautiful strong woman that has taken care of not only me but our family for years… I’m not like these other… I know I’ve been wrong and will fix it love you @toribrixx and I am so sorry.”

Rich The Kid’s Apology To His Fiancée

For those unaware, the two started dating a bit after the 30-year-old and his previous wife had a divorce in 2018. As such, their long-term relationship makes this news particularly scandalous and unfortunate given its increased publicity with the lawsuit. After all, she was there when culprits assaulted Rich The Kid during a home invasion and robbery. Hopefully this public apology is at least a step towards their healing, whether separately or together, especially with the legal ramifications in mind.

In other news, the Queens-born MC recently commented on Billboard reinstating their rule concerning merch sales. In case readers didn’t know, merch bundles will now once again count for a release’s sales. “That’s fire,” he remarked. “Because them floppin’ a** artists can get- you know what I’m saying- yeah, that’s some bulls**t. But you know what? My new album’s coming out this summer, and I ain’t sellin’ no Crocs with ’em!” For the latest news and updates on Rich The Kid, keep checking in with HNHH.
