Edibles aren’t for everyone, even for heavy smokers. Seth Rogan, who’s in the midst of launching his own cannabis brand Houseplant in states across America, recently sat down with Jimmy Kimmel to discuss his latest venture. They discussed the various flowers available as well as the possibilities of bringing edibles into the American market. Rogan explained that the products available in Canada must abide by a certain standard which he said makes it easier to create consistency.

“We sell beverages in Canada but in Canada, the infrastructure is far more institutionalized. So you can kind of recreate an effect more consistently with edibles, whereas in America they’re not quite there yet. And edibles, I’ve had, like, very scattershot experiences, I guess you would say,” he said. Specifically, it was a time at the Golden Globes where he had a cannabis-infused lollipop over the course of the evening. Even though he was fully aware of the extent of how medicated he was, he was confident that he was holding it together.

“I was at the Golden Globes, which are a nightmare, so I had a weed lollipop throughout the show and I thought in my head, I was like, ‘I’m really high but I’m keeping it together,” he said. Naturally, he headed to an afterparty after the award show concluded where he bumped into Bryson Cranston.

“I went to an afterparty and I saw Bryan Cranston, who I don’t know that well but I saw him and the first thing he said was ‘Are you okay?'” Rogan recalled. “When you just think you’re doing good and someone looks at you, like very scared and says ‘Are you okay?’ it’ll really bring you back down to Earth.”

While Kodak Black’s new-found freedom has the rapper stirring things up in the rap game’s online space, not everything he’s spouting is to simply antagonize or instigate. The rapper has been in headlines the past twenty-four hours due to a seemingly light-hearted feud with Lil Baby, that quickly unraveled into what appears to be beef-proper with Pooh Shiesty, who had taken offense to Kodak’s comments about Baby.

Today, as the rapper continues to comment on Pooh Shiesty, he’s also offered a few words of praise to a female rapper who was recently bestowed a new honor. Cardi B went viral this morning after it was announced that “Bodak Yellow” broke a new record for the artist. “Bodak Yellow” was certified diamond by the RIAA, thus making Cardi B as the first female rapper to ever obtain a diamond-certified single.

In response to this milestone, Kodak Black offered a tweet to Cardi B, “Bodak Yellow Went Diamond Dam Right @iamcardib,” he wrote to New York native. 

This is relevant to Kodak because the song’s title infamously takes inspiration from Kodak Yellow. “I named it ‘Bodak Yellow’ cause the flow of the song, it will remind you of a song that Kodak Black did called ‘No Flockin,” Cardi explained to Genius in 2017.

The “Drake Stimulus Package,” as it is often called, has proven to be a lucrative investment for many up-and-coming rappers. Though a guest verse from Drizzy doesn’t always guarantee sustained longevity, it will almost certainly guarantee, at the bare minimum, short-term financial gain. For Yung Bleu, who was already doing well prior to connecting with Drake on “You’re Mines Still,” the benefits of the collaborations were notable all the same.

In fact, the artist recently took a moment to share a fun fact about his high-profile collab on Twitter. “Ain’t gone lie that Drake feature hits different,” he writes. “I done made like a couple million in like 3 months. It usually takes me a year to stack a million.” When one of his followers remarks that Bleu wouldn’t have made the money without Drake, the melodist makes sure to put the doubter in check. “I been making big money tho,” he retorts. “I just made it quicker.”

Given that “You’re Mines Still” currently holds an impressive twenty-six million views on YouTube alone, it’s not exactly surprising to hear that it’s been among Yung Bleu’s top earners. Curiously, the duet has yet to be certified gold or platinum by the RIAA, though it wouldn’t be surprising to see the time come shortly. It should also be noted that Drizzy and Bleu have apparently discussed the idea of a joint EP, though that has yet to be confirmed as anything beyond an idea.

Keeping Up With Kardashians series finale is bound to show bits and pieces of Kim Kardashian’s divorce from rapper Kanye West, and a recent teaser seemly hints at just that. 

The show has reached its 20th and final season, and a new trailer shows a tearful Kim with a wad of tissues expressing she “feels like a f*cking loser.” On top of juggling law school, Kim filed for divorce in late February. 

Around the time this was filmed, Kanye was in the spotlight for outlandish behavior, including running for President. There were public marital issues, Twitter outbursts, and an unfortunate bipolar episode that put Ye under major public scrutiny. It is only assumed that Kim’s emotional breakdown was caused by this series of stress-provoking events.

However, the trailer hinted at other exciting news for the Kardashian family. Model Kendall Jenner is shown expressing major interest in having kids, and soon too. Meanwhile, Khloe and Tristan debate having a second child via surrogacy, while considering their “unofficial” relationship.

Kris Jenner, the family’s mom-ager, was pictured working out the tricky details with her ex-lover Caitlyn Jenner, who had a hard time coming rekindling a relationship with her as seen in the past KUWTK seasons. 

Scott Disick, Kourtney’s ex-boyfriend and father of their three children Penelope, Mason, and Reign, professed his love for Kourtney and admitted to wanting marriage despite the toxicity and constant tug-of-war that came with their relationship.

Last week, SZA’s supposed-fans bombarded her Twitter mentions and accidentally got her trending for apparently being a “liar.” A series of tweet threads containing articles and interview segments of SZA’s contradicting statements about such things as her age, the length of her hair, as well as sillier things, such as claiming to have never owned a television, but later posting a selfie with a TV. Another one alleged she painted her freckles, after stating her freckles were real.

However, after some slight detective work from the “Good Days” singer’s fans, a lot of these claims were “proven” false. As the jokes and investigative threads continued to spread like wildfire, SZA didn’t seem too happy about it, tweeting “I hate it here.”

While the tweet could be aimed at anything, the timing and energy of the tweet were just far too coincidental and popped up while fans were still getting a kick out of SZA’s “storytelling” habits. A few hours later, the “Hit Different” singer applied a little more pressure, still indirectly, albeit.

The singer tweeted “I’d be dead if I gave a f*ck.”

In other news, SZA released the visual for her platinum-selling single “Good Days,” which ended up being something directly out of one of the singer’s fantasies. It has been a few years, actually four in June, since SZA released her critically acclaimed album CTRL. In the meantime, she has been keeping fans occupied with collaborations with other artists, including Megan Thee Stallion on “Freaky Girls” and “Hit Different” with Ty Dolla $ign, not to mention interviewing Doja Cat for a futuristic issue of V Magazine.

Even with the devastating circumstances that were 2020, The Weeknd still came out on top. The pandemic was released in spite of the pandemic and he had to push back tour dates roughly two years since initially planning them out. It didn’t stop the power of the project’s second single, “Blinding Lights” to reach the top of the charts and maintain a position in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 for an entire year, making him the first artist to ever reach this accomplishment. 

During an interview with Billboard, he said it was his fans who deserve the credit for helping him reach this massive milestone in his decade-plus career. “After Hours was always meant to be a very personal project. It’s a story I had to tell,” The Weeknd said. “The fact I’ve been able to tell it with the world listening is incredible. This Billboard chart record is truly a result of the fans. I’m so humbled and forever grateful to them.”

The Weeknd’s recent success with the single arrives after his performance at the Super Bowl where he closed his set with the single. To date, “Blinding Lights” has 1.1B audio and video streams combined and 726K downloads sold across the U.S.

Even though the single wasn’t announced as a nominee for the Grammys, it looks like the award show’s Canadian equal has got it right. The Junos announced their nominees on March 9th, earning the song three nominations including Single Of The Year and Songwriter Of The Year.
