Sabrina Carpenter’s New Dunkin’ Drink Hit Us With A Heavy Kiss Of Sweetness

Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” was undoubtedly last year’s song of the summer, so you had to assume it was only a matter of time before there would be a Sabrina Carpenter signature drink at one of the big nationwide coffee retailers (Carpenter fans were already treated to a pop-up cafe, read about it here).

If I had to bet money, I would’ve put it on Starbucks, but Sabrina threw a curveball at us by shunning the green mermaid in favor of Dunkin. I’m not sure who is in charge of these collabs at Dunkin’ but whoever it is, they’re killing it. Two years back Dunkin’ scooped up Ice Spice when the hype over her was at an all-time high, and perfectly integrated her brand into theirs.

That drink was called the “Munchkins” drink, named after an iconic product Dunkin’ sells, and also the name of Ice Spice’s fanbase, so we had pretty high expectations for how the brand would integrate Sabrina into its universe. And from the look of this promo video, it seems they knocked it out of the park again.

The video, titled “Shake That Ess’ with Sabrina Carpenter,” perfectly captures Sabrina’s cheeky and crude brand of humor.

But look, it doesn’t matter how great an exercise in brand synergy and marketing is at the end of the day we have one question: is the drink any good? We found out by buying Sabrina’s Brown Sugar Shakin’ Espresso, and giving it a through taste test! Here are our thoughts.

Sabrina’s Brown Sugar Shakin’ Espresso

Thoughts & Tasting Notes:

Sabrina’s Brown Sugar Shakin’ Espresso is maybe the most basic drink Dunkin’ could’ve come up with. It consists of espresso shaken in ice with brown sugar syrup and oat milk. It’s so unimaginative that we assume it already existed in some form before the brand slapped Sabrina’s name on it.

Here is the thing though — the drink is pretty good. Rather than rely on gimmicks or unnecessary flavor combinations, this drink keeps things simple and classic, and because of that, we don’t really have anything to complain about from a flavor standpoint. It’s sweet, earthy, rich, and has a nice toasty aftertaste. Espresso and oatmilk just taste great together, and that’s coming from someone who usually likes their lattes with whole milk.

Is it vital to go out and get this drink you can experience it? No, you’ve probably had something like this in some form before. But it’s also not a drink that is exclusive to hardcore Sabrina Carpenter fans. It’s for everyone.

The Bottom Line:

The recipe could’ve been a bit more thoughtful, but we’d be lying if we didn’t say we enjoyed every sip of this sweet, brown sugar iced latte.

Bad Bunny Drops Tracklist & Short Film For New Album, “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS”

Bad Bunny is kicking off 2025 with some very exciting news for his fans, especially his die-hards in his native archipelago of Puerto Rico. His next album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS (“I Should’ve Taken More Pictures”) comes out on Three Kings Day Eve (Sunday, January 5) at 7PM EST, and he’s shared the tracklist for it. Beyond solo singles like “EL CLúB,” Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio will also collaborate with rising reggaetón superstars Dei V, Omar Courtz, and RaiNao. In addition, he will also include tracks with the indie band Chuwi (the best boricua artists right now, in this writer’s humble opinion) and with the excellent local plena outfit Los Pleneros De La Cresta.

With all this in mind – plus the, cultural, folkloric, and traditional music references on “PIToRRO DE COCO” – it seems like this will be Bad Bunny’s most Puerto Rico-centric album to date, which is saying a lot but is nonetheless incredibly exciting. He also released a short film starring legendary boricua multi-hyphenate Jacobo Morales that speaks to themes of rampant gentrification, cultural roots, and the importance of defending heritage.

Bad Bunny’s DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS: Short Film & Tracklist

Of course, for those of you in tune with Bad Bunny’s artistic presence beyond his commercial dominance in the Hispanic and global music sphere, this is nothing new. He’s always been a strong advocate for addressing Puerto Rico’s political, economic, and sociocultural challenges. The 30-year-old may have endorsed Kamala Harris for U.S. President last year, but he’s more concerned with addressing the colonial struggles that said regime continues to bombard the archipelago with, no matter who’s in the White House. In addition, he caused controversy by speaking out against the incumbent government of Puerto Rico, which perpetuates that invasive exploitation while benefitting from a slew of humanitarian and social injustices.

If that was a mouthful for you, then you understand why Bad Bunny fans can’t wait to unpack all this on DeBÍ TiRAR Más FOToS, which we’re sure will include some amazing music that will resonate across cultural boundaries. It will be very special for Puerto Rican fans who are as hurt as he is for the archipelago. Despite these broad issues, Benito will use his art as his primary tool to help others in their fight, and we’ll see what sonic direction he uses to do so.

Lil Baby Gets Confrontational In Brash Visual For “F U 2x”

Lil Baby is the first mainstream rapper to drop an album in 2025. Despite that, it’s very important a release for him overall. It’s hopefully going to set the tone for how he’s going to remembered this year, but potentially going forward. If you haven’t been following the lead-up until the release of WHAM (Who Hard As Me) today, listeners have been skeptical, to say the least. For most, Lil Baby’s music has not hit the same as it did when he dropped My Turn back in 2020. The reception on a lot of his recent singles and features have also been lukewarm at best, so this project had to deliver. So far, a majority are leaning in the mid to poor rating, with a decent number of listeners praising it. But the noise really doesn’t seem to be affecting the Atlanta mainstay too much.

He revealed that he was going to drop two albums this year. The second will supposedly be named Dominique, a bit of a self-titled and potentially more personal release. That possible contrast could make sense with WHAM being a very obvious flex-heavy and in-your-face sort of album. A deluxe is also coming next Tuesday (according to the artist) so Baby is really looking to reassert his status after some quiet and disappointing years in the eyes of many. A track from WHAM that captures that type of dominant energy is “F U 2x,” one of the potential hits off the record. He decided to deliver an accompanying music video to go along with it and it further cements what Baby’s goal was for the track and LP at large. It’s a simple and confrontational black and white visual with flashy shots and imagery. Check it out below.

Young Thug Clarifies Controversial Lyrics On His First Post-Jail Song, Lil Baby & Future’s “Dum, Dumb, And Dumber”

Young Thug just treated fans to his first post-prison verse on the new Lil Baby album WHAM, specifically the cut “Dum, Dumb, And Dumber” also featuring Future. There’s one set of bars on there that seemed to catch some flack online, although we think it was a pretty incendiary and exaggerated interpretation of what sounds like a normal bar. “These U.S. b***hes kinda bad / College b***h, I made her leave a frat / F***ed my brother, gave the b***h a pass,” he raps on the cut. “When I said these U.S b***hes kinda bad I meant ‘bad girls’ not ugly girls.. we got the prettiest girls on earth…” Thugger clarified on Twitter shortly after the song’s release.

Furthermore, it’s one of a few moments on “Dum, Dumb, And Dumber” that fans raised their eyebrows at, but they overall seemed to enjoy this cut. Lil Baby, Young Thug, and Future all work really well together, and it’s great to hear them in this zone after such a long time without a crossover. Still, it’s kind of funny to see Thug clarify a set of bars that didn’t really warrant an explanation, especially as there’s much more pressing and relevant lyrical questions for him to answer.

Young Thug Explains His “Dum, Dumb, And Dumber” Lyrics

Of course, we’re talking about the Young Thug snippet that recently surfaced in which he makes the following proclamation: “Never associate with a rat,” he raps in the teaser. This led many fans to bring up the alleged beef between Jeffery and Gunna, which we only call alleged because there have been far too many mixed signals to make heads or tails of. Whether or not he’s just talking about snitches generally or the specific accusations against Wunna, it’s easy discourse fuel for the rap community.

But if “Dum, Dumb, And Dumber” disappointed you or if this alleged Gunna sub isn’t your thing, fear not. Young Thug might have more on the way very soon, namely the sequel to his collaborative Future tape, Super Slimey. If Super Slimey 2 is actually a thing and drops in the near future, then we’d call that one heck of a return to full-length projects after two years and change behind bars.

Drake’s Hamptons Reference On “Fighting Irish”  Freestyle Provokes J. Cole & Lil Wayne Diss Speculation

Drake is opening up debate this afternoon with his newest release, “Fighting Irish.” The Conductor Williams-produced freestyle made its way online hours ago. However, its believed that the latter or even UMG (who he takes aim at) were who swiftly removed it. But it’s still easy to find on X (Twitter), for example, with tons of users copying and reposting it in the nick of time. The subject matter is what’s driving the engagement right now, as Drake appears to be mentally unloading after a rough (to say the least) 2024. How’s he gone about this is by taking subliminal shots at numerous figures that he feels have betrayed him in the last year.

Whether it be via the Kendrick Lamar beef turning friends into enemies or just in general, he’s going at everyone. LeBron James and DeMar DeRozan are two that seem to be in his sights. In regard to them, Drake refers to the both of them showing up to Lamar’s Pop Out concert. Furthermore, from the sounds of it anyway, there’s a nice chunk of bars that seem to show Drake looking back on him and Bron’s relationship, only for it to fade thanks to K. Dot.

Drake Has Everyone Guessing Who He’s Referring To

However, it’s not just athletes he’s got problems with. Multiple rappers could be in his scope as well. “I guess now you boys gotta abandon your summer tradition / Cold shoulders I gave in the Hamptons, it come with the distance.” These both appear to be a direct reference to Drake’s viral appearance at Michael Rubin’s annual White Out bash he hosts every year at his lavish pad in New York. If you remember a photo of him looking a little too relaxed had everyone saying he looked “aged” following the beef.

A Few Names Seem To Be Sticking

What also allegedly happened at the July party was The Boy purposely avoiding certain guests. His former mentor Lil Wayne was the MC that a lot of folks were assuming was the one he dodged. It’s why this discussion has begun once more with the release of “Fighting Irish.” As you can see, Weezy’s and multiple others, including Jay-Z and J. Cole are also being thrown out there. It’s definitely got everyone guessing who the suspect is, and Drake, as per usual, covered his tracks very well here.
