DaBaby Channels Sexyy Red In New “Get It Sexyy” Freestyle

DaBaby is certainly no stranger to freestyles, and his latest has fans impressed, to say the least. Earlier this week, the Cleveland-born MC stopped by Power 106, where he rapped over Metro Boomin and Future’s new viral track alongside Kendrick Lamar, “Like That.” He also paid tribute to Sexyy Red, rhyming over her latest solo single, “Get It Sexyy.”

DaBaby is receiving a ton of praise online for his effortless bars, with countless commenters leaving their own requests for other freestyles they want to see him take on next. “Everybody wants to hate on DaBaby, but he can actually rap,” one fan writes. Another says, “One thing we can’t argue is that boy can spit.”

This isn’t the only time the worlds of DaBaby and Sexyy Red have collided, however. Last summer, the duo linked up for a remix of his 2023 CALL DA FIREMAN cut “Shake Sumn,” which quickly became a fan favorite. They even joined forces to perform the track at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards after it was released. While listeners can agree that he delivered on his “Get It Sexyy” freestyle, not all of his work has gone over so well. Back in February, for example, he rapped over the iconic beat from Jay-Z’s The Black Album song “Public Service Announcement.” Many users felt as though the beat just wasn’t for him, and argued that he came up short.

Pusha T Unleashes F1-Inspired Red Bull Spiral Freestyle With Yvngxchris & Khi Infinite

Earlier this week, Pusha T teamed up with Khi Infinite and yvngxchris for a new F1 edition Red Bull Spiral Freestyle. The trio effortlessly delivered top-tier bars inspired by the upcoming debut Red Bull Showrun in Washington D.C. The event aims to bring F1 fans together for “adrenaline-packed fun” with David Coulthard and the team behind Oracle Red Bull Racing. It’ll take place on April 20 of this year.

Pusha T’s freestyle features various references to the event and even a nod to the 20th anniversary of Oracle Red Bull Racing. He boasts some of the team’s accomplishments, as well as a few of his own, before passing the mic to Khi Infinite.

Braggadocious rhymes aren’t the only thing Pusha T’s been serving up as of late, however. Earlier this week, he reignited his longwinded feud with Drake with a shady Tweet reply. “I just wanted to point out that after all these years of mob talk from Drake, nobody ever laid a finger on Pusha T,” one fan had written of the Toronto MC. “Not a pinky nail,” he replied alongside a laughing emoji. The jab followed weeks of fans hoping to hear a response from the hitmaker after Kendrick Lamar went after Drake and J. Cole on his track with Future and Metro Boomin, “Like That,” which went viral in the days following the release of We Don’t Trust You.

Pusha T also dipped his toe in the world of fashion at the beginning of this year, premiering his runway walk at Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2024 show. Big Sean Unleashes “Anderson Estate Freestyle”: Fans React To The Good, The Bad & The Disses

Big Sean just dropped the “Anderson Estate” freestyle on his social media, building up an upcoming single and album rollout that has fans salivating at the mouth. Moreover, this is a pretty lyrically dense, low-key, and old-school display of skill from him, delivering calm but introspective and reflective bars over a woozy J Dilla flip (from “Drop” by The Pharcyde) from Boi-1da, Leon Thomas, and Jahaan Sweet. Furthermore, it prompted a lot of discussion online around the Detroit MC’s bars, demeanor, next moves, and quality of performance on here. Overall, there was a lot of praise online, further cementing that he no longer represents the corny image that folks had of him when his career was at its commercial peak of visibility.

What’s exciting about the “Anderson Estate” freestyle is that it shows this peak could still be bested by more developed artistry and a consistent effort to be the best. For example, one of the most notable bars on here that fans went wild over was when Big Sean seemed to reference Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole. “I think where I lack most as an artist is consistency / I just haven’t had the energy to compete with enemies,” he spits on the cut. “Or y’all so-called bigger three / But every verse I lay, fans love to say, ‘Man, n****s is sleep!’”

Cardi B Finally Returns With Highly-Anticipated “Like What (Freestyle)”

Back on February 20, on-again, off-again partner of Cardi B, Offset, was encouraging his boo to drop her next LP. “Stop being scary and drop the album s**t goes crazy.” While there was not any audio, he was giving his best stank-face for whatever he was teasing in the video. That anticipation deepened after her die-hard supporters were begging for her to return after a series of memes and a #WhereIsCardi poster.

Well, we can finally say that Cardi B is at least slowly rebuilding as she finally dropped “Like What (Freestyle).” This marks The Bronx rapper’s first single since last September with the highly-maligned “Bongos” with Megan Thee Stallion.” Additionally, an album rollout could be underway as well. If you watch to the end of the music video, directed by Offset, you will see a message that says, “Just beginning… stay tuned.”

Cam’ron Gets To The “It Is What It Is” Set Early To Spit Fire “Two-For-One” Freestyle

Cam’ron is one of the very special talents we have going in rap music. Even though he has been releasing music since the late 1990s, Killa Cam still manages to drop heat. The Harlem, New York native is still active as well, even with his very popular sports talk show that shoots it straight, It Is What It Is. In 2023, Cam’ron hit us with The Lost Files: Vol. 1 and U Wasn’t There in 2022. Additionally, he put out four singles last year, and has a couple in 2024 as well. His most recent was for a KITH collaboration called “Last Stop.” The now 48-year-old Cam’ron is back with a new freestyle called “Two-For-One.”

According to HipHopDX, the TV host posted the hot bars on the Instagram page for It Is What It Is. Cam’ron cleverly named the freestyle “Two-For-One” because he gave fans two off-the-dome performances on separate occasions. Additionally, both were done at the recording studio about 10 minutes apart. The first of them was laid down right before the program began with his hairdresser getting Cam ready.

The Dipset rapper spazzed on more a trap flavored instrumental. Then, for freestyle number two, he switches things up to the familiar “Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems” sample. Flau’jae Is Coming For The Throne On “First Person Shooter” Freestyle

Basketball and hip-hop go together like peanut butter and jelly. Both cultures complement each other so well and it is why a good deal of hoopers also rap on the side. What is really cool about it is that a fair number of them can actually spit. We have seen Damian Lillard build a successful side hustle with a handful of records to his credit. You also have others like Shaq, and Lonzo Ball to add to that list as well. However, there are not as many female players that pen bars. One who does and can forge a career is Flau’jae.

Flau’jae (Johnson) is currently attending Louisiana State University (LSU) and is a starting guard for the Tigers. She is having a great sophomore season. Flau’jae is averaging 13 points, and five assists on nearly 50% shooting for the 13th-best team in the country. While she is killing it on the basketball court, she is also setting the microphone on fire.

She has been putting out music since 2017 and over the past year or so, Flau’jae has been hitting her stride. In July 2023, she put out her debut project 4 My Fans with no features. Fabolous Shows He’s Still Got It On “Snooze Freestyle”
