Baby Keem Shares “Melodic Blue” Short Film Featuring Three New Songs

Baby Keem is getting a lot of mileage out of his breakthrough album The Melodic Blue. The album originally dropped in 2021 and was met with substantial critical acclaim. Among the original 16 tracks are some major hits for Keem including “16,” “trademark usa,” and “family ties” with Kendrick Lamar. A year later in 2022 Keem shared a deluxe edition of the album which featured 10 new tracks. Among them was yet another hit song, the track “lost souls” with Brent Faiyaz.

Now he’s continuing to extract content from the album with The Melodic Blue short film. The film’s press release elaborates on its goals. It explains the short seeks to “take you through Keem’s internal battle and leads you through fragments of memory and temptation as he navigates the depths of The Melodic Blue.” The film also debuts three new songs likely from the same era as the rest of The Melodic Blue. Those tracks include “Rock Me,” “Torch,” and “White Laces” which features guest vocals from James Blake. The film was shared on Prime Video overnight. Check out the trailer released last week below.

Baby Keem Shares Trailer For “The Melodic Blue” Short Film

Baby Keem’s breakthrough album The Melodic Blue dropped back in 2021. The project rode in on a wave of hype off high-profile collaborations with artists like Kendrick Lamar and Travis Scott and received positive reviews from critics. The album was a massive success spawning even more hits like “16” and “trademark usa.” But Keem isn’t done with the album and era yet. Earlier today he announced a new short film based on the album.

While the trailer doesn’t reveal a ton about the plot and direction of the film, it does feature some enticing imagery and writing. In the trailer, the “melodic blue” is described as a place where all human emotions and feelings are heightened. It also features Keem himself in a series of dark and flashy sets alongside numerous other actors and actresses. The announcement also reveals when fans will be able to see the film in its entirety. Baby Keem’s Short Film On The Way

The announcement of the short film came as a surprise to many fans who assumed that Keem’s next undertaking would be a new album. He gave fans reason to suspect that at the end of a performance at Osheaga Music Festival earlier this year. “New album coming soon motherf*ckers,” Keem said to the crowd as he closed his set.

Earlier this year Keem released his third collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, a new single called “The Hillbillies.” The two did a joint headlining performance at Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw festival earlier this month. They performed under the joint name “The Hillbillies” and made the live debut of the single during the hyped headlining set. What do you think of the trailer for Baby Keem’s new short film? Lil Yachty & Kai Cenat Star In New Trailer For Short Buddy Cop Film, “Global Pursuit”

The streamer world is making its way into the film industry, and leading the way is Kai Cenat. Moreover, the official trailer just dropped for his new short film, Global Pursuit, in which he’s the lead role in a buddy cop action-comedy. In addition, it stars a massive fan of his, Ray, who met the social media star during a recent Japan trip and hit it off so much that they teamed up for this project. It’s a formula and comedic style akin to films like Rush Hour, but one that looks pretty entertaining and well-crafted. If nothing else, it looks like Kai and Ray really enjoyed themselves in the making of it, and it’s still an exciting move.

Not only that, but there’s a Lil Yachty reference at one point in the trailer where someone confuses Kai Cenat for him and stars singing “Strike.” Maybe a lot of fans saw this and thought that it was just a little nod to his streaming guest. However, it didn’t stop there, as at the very end of the trailer, a group of frantic women run past a man reading a newspaper. He puts the news down, and it’s revealed to be the Atlanta artist, and he disregards the commotion and gets back to his reading.

Kai Cenat’s Global Pursuit Trailer With Lil Yachty Cameo

These days, there’s a lot of reasons as to why Lil Yachty would want to both work with Kai Cenat and put his name out there as much as possible. He’s on an unstoppable new music run recently, with his most recent single being “Tesla.” In addition, he and Kai are pretty tight, especially considering how Yachty brought him and the rest of the AMP crew on stage at Rolling Loud Miami this year. Surely, they will collaborate on a whole lot more content in the future, and it’s a fitting match energy and vibe-wise.

Meanwhile, it seems like the film will release on Cenat’s YouTube channel soon, so keep an eye out for that. While he’s dealing with some legal issues at the moment from his NYC giveaway event, he continues to make waves online through it all. We’ll see what reception to this short film looks like and what’s next for this duo. On that note, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Yachty and Kai Cenat.

Kodak Black To Drop Short Film “The Don” Alongside New Album “Pistols & Pearls”

Kodak Black is going for big things for the release of his newly announced album Pistols & Pearls, whether in the audio or visual medium. Moreover, he just announced that he will release his short film The Don on Friday, May 26, the same day that the new project is slated to release. In the trailer for the tale, it seems like it will center around a tough crime story following Kodak’s character as he navigates through trials and tribulations. Thematically, it certainly lines up with some of the topics of gang violence and redemption that Yak raps about. Of course, we’ll have to see if it ties to Pistols & Pearls in more of a strictly narrative or conceptual way.

Regardless, it should make for an interesting diversion, bringing his talents to a different space. “Sign up now with the link for your chance to catch the Exclusive Screening For My Feature Short Film “The Don” in MIAMI, NY, ATL, & LA…” Kodak Black wrote on an Instagram post announcing the short. “Official Release This Friday 5/26 www.officialkodakblack.com.” With this new hype around his artistic endeavors, it’ll probably be the marker of a new era for the Florida MC.

I COULDNT FIND PEACE WITHOUT ALL THE VIOLENCE @atlanticrecords It’s Been Well !!! Nothing But Gratitude & The Utmost Respect.” Furthermore, a lot of things are changing in the 25-year-old’s artistic portfolio, and fans are excited to see how they play out.

Meanwhile, Yak also recently made big moves in the movie world in more traditional, but nonetheless exciting ways. His track with NLE Choppa, JVKE, Muni Long, and Jimin for the Fast X soundtrack, “Angel Pt. 1,” is one of many star-studded cuts on the compilation. Whether it’s of his own design or as part of a larger team, he clearly wants to level up with these new moves. For more news and the latest updates on Kodak Black, keep checking in with HNHH.
