Travis Scott’s College Essay About G.O.O.D. Music Dug Up By Fan, Internet Rips It Apart

Travis Scott has always been a studen t of hip-hop ever since he became a Kanye West protege back in the early 2010s. Over the years, we have seen him take the respective sounds of artists like Ye, Kid Cudi, Future, and more and create a one-of-a-kind psychedelic sound. But even before he began his rap journey, he was looking to get ahead even when he was an actual student. According to XXL, one of many Travis Scott fan accounts recently uncovered a college essay from his short stint at university. This four-page paper from December 5, 2009, seems to have been for an English professor of some sort.

If you did not know, Trav attended The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). He would drop out during his sophomore year, before ultimately becoming the controversial superstar we know him to be. In the essay, Scott flexes his rap knowledge by summarizing the careers of Kid Cudi and Big Sean. He refers to them as “well-known rappers that had similar lifestyles but different messages.” Subsequently, these parallels “carried them an opportunity to get sign to a multi-million-dollar company called G.O.O.D. MUSIC.”

Near the end of the paper, Scott wanted to this story to convey that, “Success is not something that is giving out. You must go out and take what you want.” Even though the multi-hyphenate must have felt good about his efforts here, fans have been quick to tear it up. “Dude wrote the intro, then just copy paste Wikipedia!” one user writes. “Goddamn my brain is hurting reading this s***” another adds. While some of the grammar is not totally refined, it seems that he knew this information on the back of his hand.

Cam’ron Reveals His Massive Return On Investment From “It Is What It Is”

Cam’ron has revealed the return on investment he’s made from his new sports talk show, It Is What It Is. He discussed the finances behind the show during a discussion panel at Black Enterprise’s 2024 Disruptor Summit, earlier this month.

“I did three–four episodes by myself,” he began. “I actually invited Mase to be a guest on the show and he was like, ‘Yo man, this is really dope — do you want to go half on it?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, we can go half, let’s do it.’ He didn’t even have to put any money up, but he was willing to. I probably did four episodes, maybe five, and they offered me a million dollars and I was like, ‘No.’ And then we got to probably 10 episodes and it got up to like three million dollars, and I was like, ‘Oh, we got something here.’”

He continued: “We actually did 35 episodes, so we did a deal, but I probably spent a $127,000 ’cause I just kept shooting and shooting, and Mase had this number in his head […] When it got to like six million dollars, I was like, ‘Mase we got to— it doesn’t make sense to not do the deal.’ And he had a real number in his head. “General Hospital” Star Johnny Wactor Shot And Killed During Robbery

Actor Johnny Wactor of General Hospital was shot and killed by armed robbers. The robbers reportedly wanted to steal his catalytic converter as he was defending a female coworker. At around 3:25 a.m., Wactor encountered the three robbers. He witnessed them jacking up his car while escorting the companion, who remains nameless, to her own vehicle. Grant, his brother, told the Daily Mail this information on Saturday. “We’re Southern, born and raised, and we would never let a female walk to their car by herself,” Wactor’s grieving brother said.

“He came across them and he thought his truck was being towed. So he said something to the guys, like, ‘Hey, are you towing?’” The brother of Wactor continued, “And then once he turned around, he saw what was happening and he put his coworker behind him. And that’s when they shot him.” Grant used the Los Angeles Police Department’s evaluation of the situation to claim that the actor was trying to defend his coworker when the guys opened fire. The robbers left the scene in a different car, and according to the police, they were all wearing masks. As of Monday morning, their identities remained unknown.

Scarlett, his mother, told TMZ that although her son didn’t approach the men or attempt to fight them, they shot him and then left the area. Around 3 a.m. PT, the police classified the event as an attempted theft of a catalytic converter. Wactor was taken to the hospital by paramedics and later declared deceased. Johnny was working later than normal that night, according to his mother, and he sometimes took on extra bartending duties in between acting jobs. Three coworkers followed him out, two of whom went off on their own before Wactor and the lady he was walking with head a confrontation with the car robbers.

“We are completely devastated,” Wactor’s grandmother, Barbara, told The Daily Mail. “He was just walking to his car. It’s senseless.” Overall, the killing of Johnny Wactor is a tragedy, and he is a victim of senseless violence. His family is understandably devastated. His mother called him “a light in a dark room,” to reporters citing how her son protected his coworker.

Kai Cenat Is Upset That Drake Keeps Saying His Name Wrong

Kai Cenat is one of the biggest names in all of live-streamed entertainment. But it’s his very name that is apparently tripping people up. During a recent conversation, he was asked about people pronouncing his name wrong and gave an enthusiastic response. Clearly the mistakes bother him as he explained the incorrect was people pronounce the a in Cenat. In particular, there’s one person whose mistake bothers him the most, Drake.

It’s not hard to see why he would be hung up on Drake mispronouncing his name given how many people are paying attention every time Drake talks. It’s unclear if the interview comments are intended to eventually get Drake to say it right or just more joking excitement from Kai. The two interviewers in the clip seem to be in on the joke as they parlay it directly into a full conversation about the rapper. In particular, they touch on his recent beef with Kendrick Lamar. Fans and members of the rap media are still picking up the pieces from Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s beef. The diss tracks came in such rapid fire succession that fans could hardly break them down before a new one arrived. The one song that seems to be sticking with people more than any other is Kendrick’s Not Like Us. The track has broken numerous Spotify records already for how fast its racking up streams. It also broke records for how many streams it generated in its first 24 hours. The track also made a splash on the Hot 100 where it still sits in the top 5 after 3 weeks on the chart.

Bradford Cohen says that he and Kodak Black’s relationship is unlike any of his other clients. He explained that he’s known the rapper since he was just a kid and how he’s seen him grow over the years during a recent interview with DJ Akademiks. Cohen also revealed that the rapper does far more good behind the scenes than fans know about.

Cohen began by explaining that he and Kodak have a “different attorney-client relationship.” “I’ve known him since he was a kid. I’ve mentored him. I’ve talked to him. I’ve walked him through different things. I just know how he thinks and I know what a good soul he is because I’ve seen him do things that he doesn’t want me talking about, doesn’t want me going to the press about, doesn’t want me getting any fanfare about. That’s why he’s a different type of person. Generally, people do things like, ‘Oh, I want to rehab my image.’ He doesn’t do that. He’ll do things when he doesn’t need to rehab his image.”

In Akademiks’ comments section, fans weren’t buying the praise. “He has done a horrible job of mentoring him,” one joked. Another argued: “Some people like Kodak will never learn sadly, gotta have sum positive influence on the community.”

Kanye West’s First Intro For “LIKE THAT” REMIX Surfaces & It Was Originally A Callback To This “Late Registration” Record

All hip-hop fans know that Kanye West loves to tweak anything he does relentlessly. As we all know, the VULTURES rollout schedule has nowhere near gone according to plan. The trilogy was supposed to have been completed by now in a perfect world. However, we are still being left in the dark on the future plans for this series. Surely, Kanye West jumping into the Kendrick Lamar versus Drake beef with his “LIKE THAT REMIX” threw a wrench in any progress being made. We have reached that conclusion, partially because of a new snippet surfacing on X (formerly Twitter), not too long ago.

A Kanye West fan account, who goes by Donda Times, posted a 20 second audio clip of the original intro to his version of “LIKE THAT”. If you remember, Ye was puffing his chest out and looking to back up his bro, Kendrick. “You know we had to get The Hooligans up here, we gon’ take this p***y n**** out / Yo, Dot, I got you.” That hopped right into his verse, but in this original recording, things sounded a lot different.

Kanye West Modernized The “Celebration” Intro For “LIKE THAT REMIX”

Instead, Ye decided to work in some bars from on his sophomore album Late Registration and rerecord them. “Yeah, you know what this is It’s a celebration, b****es Grab a drink, grab a glass After that, I grab yo’ a**.” Fans were quick to notice those lyrics were the chorus to track 17, “Celebration”. In addition to this, Kanye’s verse does not immediately follow. In fact, Future’s vocals pop up instead. After hearing this evidence, we feel that this intro sounds better and adds some extra charisma to the track.

Rich The Kid Reveals He Is Starting A New Cryptocurrency

Rich The Kid is an artist who is going through a bit of a renaissance right now. Overall, this is mostly due to his inclusion on the Kanye West track “Carnival.” It has subsequently led to renewed interest in his music. In fact, RTK came through with a couple of new songs last Friday, which certainly helped get fans reinvested in the Rich The Kid ethos. An album should be coming soon, and fans are definitely excited. Although as it turns out, he also has some unique new projects on the horizon.

We know this because earlier today, Rich took to his Twitter account to speak on a recent situation that happened on his Twitter account. As he notes, someone hacked him and promoted a cryptocurrency scheme. The scammer drained the funs and scammed fans out of a whole bunch of money. However, to make up for this, Rich The Kid claims that he has a token that will be coming out soon. In fact, he claims that the token will “go the moon,” which is crypto slang for make a lot of money.

There is no timetable for the crypto’s release. Moreover, it is unknown what the logo will be or what the ticker symbol will be. 2024 has seen a crypto renaissance of sorts, which makes sense given the halving took place a few months ago. Nicki Minaj will officially be returning to Manchester on June 3rd after she had to cancel Saturday’s concert in the city. She made the announcement in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday following her arrest in Amsterdam over the weekend.

“OK guys, I was JUST RE-ADVISED that we actually CAN NOT do any other date for the make up #gagcityMANCHESTER date besides JUNE 3rd,” Minaj wrote on X. “So JUNE 3rd is the new official date for all ticket holders who originally had tickets to the MAY 25th #Manchester show. I apologize for all the inconvenience this has caused. I really hope you can make the #JUNE3rd show. It’ll be really special. Ticketmaster will contact you to advise officially.”

Authorities detained Minaj for allegedly carrying drugs with her as she attempted to travel to Manchester. She recorded the incident on Instagram Live before later calling it a “sabotage” of her tour. “They’ve been trying to stop me from coming to every show,” she wrote on X. “They took my bags before I could see them. Put it on the plane. Now saying they’re waiting on customs. This is what it looks like when ppl are paid big money to try to sabotage a tour after all else failed.
