Dion Lewis used to play running back for the New England Patriots, but that’s not why the Super Bowl winner is making headlines these days. Moreover, last week police arrested him at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa, Florida on September 18. Apparently, he was causing a ruckus at the venue, and security called on the Seminole Police Department to assist them with escorting him out. According to court documents reportedly obtained by TMZ, the Albany, New York native called officers “p***ies” and threatened to spit in their faces before they took him to jail.
Furthermore, officials claim that venue staff instructed him to leave the Hard Rock location, and later took him to the valet. There, they permitted Dion Lewis to call a cab or an Uber to leave and not face any further action from security guards. It seems like that didn’t work out too well, and the filing states that he “became belligerent in front of other casino patrons, calling officers ‘p***ies,’ and advising he was not leaving property because he did nothing wrong.” In addition, that’s when the New York Giant allegedly told a policeman that he’d spit in his face “if he touched him.”

Ultimately, authorities were eventually able to get Dion Lewis out of there and to a nearby jail facility. The court charged him with misdemeanor trespassing, which is wholly due to the argument he faced with hotel and casino staff following his supposed unruliness. Still, the 33-year-old’s attorney issues a not guilty plea in his stead earlier this week. Next month, the court will assess this case, and he will have to make a public appearance at it to set the record straight.

US Government Avoids Shutdown, Matt Gaetz Plans To Oust Speaker Kevin McCarthy
The US government avoided a shutdown with a late-night spending bill passed just before the midnight deadline. The Senate passed the bill 88-9, with amendments added to include $16 billion in emergency disaster assistance and FAA funding requested by the White House. However, the passed bill did not include any additional aid to Ukraine, despite that being a major sticking point for the Democrats during debates on Saturday.
For weeks, fears of a shutdown had mounted as Speaker Kevin McCarthy tried to engineer a spending bill that could pass without the support of the Democrats. However, the ever-problematic right-wing caucus of Republicans once again refused to work with McCarthy. In the end, the vote passed the house 209-126, with more Democrats than Republicans backing the final bill.

Matt Gaetz Vows To Oust Kevin McCarthy
However, McCarthy’s eleventh-hour move to compromise with the Democrats has left him vulnerable. Florida Representative Matt Gaetz announced his intention this week to introduce a motion to vacate, which would trigger a vote of no confidence against McCarthy. McCarthy agreed to a resolution during the historic Speaker of the House elections earlier this week that a vote of no confidence could be triggered by just a single member of the House. “You know what, if somebody wants to remove because I want to be the adult in the room, go ahead and try,” McCarthy said of Gaetz’s statement. Gaetz did not indicate when this week he would be submitting the motion.
It’s unlikely that Gaetz and his far-right caucus have the numbers to take down McCarthy. This is especially because the Democrats are unlikely to back Gaetz’s ploy. However, it’s yet another hold-up for a Congress that has been stagnant since the midterms in which the Republicans flipped the house. Last week, the Republicans began official impeachment hearings against President Biden. However, they were mostly an embarrassment for the Republicans, especially when their own star witness said that Biden had not committed an impeachable offense.

Drake recently brought his It’s All A Blur tour to Atlanta, where he was visited by some very special guests. In new photos making their rounds online, Roy Woods is seen posing alongside UK rapper Central Cee as well as streamer Kai Cenat. The trio looked to be in great spirits, enjoying the show from the VIP section. Central Cee has opened for Drake at a variety of stops throughout the tour, including Glendale and Charlotte.
In one clip, Cenat and Central Cee can be seen rapping along to Lil Baby’s “Freestyle,” together, and seemed to be having a blast. Kai Cenat, Central Cee, and Roy Woods aren’t the only artists who paid Drake a visit at his recent tour stop, however. In another clip, Cash Money Founder Birdman can be seen in the crowd, and of course, Drake had to give him a shoutout.

In the clip, Drake makes his way down the stairs when he spots the New Orleans native. “Hey!” he says, telling fans to “make some noise for [his] real OG.” He then grabs the camera and directs it at Birdman, who takes the opportunity to wave to the rest of the audience. The two of them are known to have a solid relationship since Drake’s departure from Birdman’s label. “I’m always going to be involved in the Cash Money/Young Money imprint,” Drake explained to Rap Radar in 2019. “And my loyalty, like I said, always lies there.”
Drake’s now at the tail end of his It’s All A Blur tour, after kicking things off in July. He’ll wrap things up this month, with a couple of shows in Toronto next week. He then plans to head to Denver, New Orleans, Nashville, and Columbus, but those dates have yet to be announced.

Flavor Flav has given his reaction to the arrest of Duane “Keefe D” Davis for the murder of Tupac Shakur. “I’m so happy right now that they finally found Tupac’s shooter,” he says. “It was bound to happen one day if he didn’t turn his own self in, because he told on himself. He wrote a book about it and all of this stuff, but if he didn’t do it, I felt the streets would turn him in one day. So I’m so happy that they found him. Because it’s been a minute. It’s definitely been a minute now. You know what I mean? So yeah, God is good, man. God turned this guy in. So glad. So glad,” Flav told PEOPLE.
Furthermore, Flav said that he was so moved by the news because of a deep connection he shared with Pac. “Tupac is the reason why I’m able to stand here and talk to you today. Meanwhile, Mopreme had a more somber response. “The case isn’t closed for me,” Mopreme told TMZ. Furthermore, Mopreme said that hearing the news brought back the trauma of his brother’s murder. Additionally, Mopreme was critical of the behavior of the Las Vegas Police Department. Apparently, the LVPD only recently reached out to Pac’s family about the ongoing investigation. Furthermore, the first person who did reach out this year retired soon after. Mopreme also said that the family was not made aware of the arrest before it happened, meaning it came as a surprise to the family.
