Lil Reese Goes In-Depth On 2021 Chicago Shooting

Lil Reese has been through a tremendous amount of adversity throughout his career. Overall, he has gotten into numerous beefs all while being part of the Chicago drill movement’s developing stages. Although he may not get mainstream attention, he is an artist who is loved by his fans. If you are a fan of Reese, then you know some of the close brushes he has had with death. He was the victim of a shooting in 2019, and subsequently, he was in another shooting back in 2021.

During the 2021 shooting, Reese was filmed with blood leaking from his face. It was very gruesome, and many feared for his life. Reports indicated that Reese had been tracked down in a stolen Dodge Durango and a fight ensued. This subsequently led to him being shot. However, Reese was on No Jumper where he refuted some of the details of the shooting. As you will see, he claims the car was never stolen. Instead, he just had the same car as the men who shot at him. Additionally, he spoke on how a cop slammed him to the ground which made him appear bloodier than he should have been.

Lil Reese Tells All

“They was shootin’ from five lanes over,” Lil Reese Revealed. “It’s goofy shit. They was five lanes over, shootin’ at my car, thinkin’ I was somebody else. Somebody else had the same car as me, and they just did a video in the car, so they thought my car was his car, and they shot my car up.” It is a harrowing story, although Reese didn’t seem to mind the retelling of it.

No matter what, this is a scary situation to be part of. Now, however, Reese seems to be doing a bit better, even if there is some trauma lingering from the incident. Charli Baltimore Reveals That Lance “Un” Rivera Has Changed His Jay-Z Stabbing Story Over Time

Record executive Lance “Un” Rivera’s stabbing in 1999 is a piece of pop culture legend that remains in the minds of many even more than 20 years later. The incident famously took place at Q-Tip’s album release party for Amplified. The narrative surrounding the incident has been pretty uncontested for years. As the story goes Jay-Z was responsible for the stabbing.

The motive behind it was rumored to be a bootleg release of his own upcoming album Vol. 3… Life and Times of S. Carter. Rivera was allegedly responsible for the leak and the stabbing was delivered in retaliation. Jay-Z even plead guilty to a second degree assault charge and got a few years probation in 2001. Now, Charli Baltimore stopped by Vlad TV to explain how the story has evolved over time. “I actually walked up, and Un was on the ground. And I’m like, ‘What are you doing?’ And he’s like, ‘I’m stabbed, I’m stabbed. Jay stabbed me.’ So I’m like, what. And he’s like, ‘Jay-Z stabbed me,’” she begins the explanation. Charli Baltimore Stands By Her Story

Baltimore’s story contrasted with something Rivera himself said earlier this year when he claimed that it wasn’t actually Jay-Z who stabbed him. “I just know what he told me, and he kept saying it. He just kept saying it over and over and over again. It’s like Unsolved Mysteries or something,” Baltimore concludes. She appears content to hold her line despite the story evolving over time.

The album before Vol. 3…, whose leak spawned the stabbing incident in the first place, just celebrated a major anniversary. Volume 2… Hard Knock Life dropped the year before in 1998 and just celebrated its 25th anniversary. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and went on to be certified 6x Platinum. DaBaby Wants To Act Alongside 50 Cent Someday

Besides 50 Cent’s widely successful music career, he also is a great actor as well. The 48-year-old rap mogul has been a part of quite a few productions during his time in the TV and movie business. Recently, he played the role of Easy Day in the fourth installment of the Expendables film franchise. However, his most notable efforts have been on the silver screen. 50’s STARZ series Power received some solid praise from casuals and critics on Rotten Tomatoes and IMDb. That chapter closed but a few more have opened and DaBaby wants in on it.

After the final season of Power in 2020, the New York icon created some spin-offs since then. It gets a little confusing with the titles and the seasons, but he is continuing to develop more stories from it. There have been three new additions to the franchise. Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, and Power Book IV: Force have all been released in a short period of time. A new season of the third book will be premiering on December 1. Fellow NY rapper Joey Bada$$ has already played a character in the show, so why not DaBaby?

In the IG post from theneighborhoodtalk, they reshare a clip from 50’s account hyping up fans for the new season of Book III. His acting is very cold-blooded and menacing and DaBaby saw the video. Kid Cudi Confirms His New Album Will Have 40+ Songs

Long albums have become increasingly common in the streaming era. It’s common in rap for albums to run over 20 tracks these days. The biggest-selling album of 2023 so far, Morgan Wallen’s One Thing At A Time, features a whopping 36 tracks. Taylor Swift’s massive Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) has a substantial 22 tracks of its own. Indie singer Mac DeMarco surprised fans earlier this year by unleashing an astonishing 199-song album called One Wayne G back in April. Now, Kid Cudi is following in the footsteps of those releasing albums with massive tracklists.

Cudi’s new album INSANO was originally due for release earlier this year but was ultimately delayed. He seems to be committed to making the best possible use of that extra time. “There are 40+ songs on INSANO between the main album and deluxe(s). Ur welcome. 2024 takeover begins,” Cudi tweeter. Cudi isn’t exactly known for short albums. Much of his discography features tracklists that run between 15 and 20 tracks. His often maligned 2015 album Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven was released with a collection of demos that added up to 26 total tracks. Check out Cudi’s tweet and some of the fan reactions below.

Fans in the comments of an Instagram post discussing the tweet showed some caution. “dawg why so many,” one of the top comments reads. “Ain’t no way it’s people finna listen to that,” another highly upvoted comment says. While there are some people expressing excitement for the project, many seem to think that 40 tracks is too many.

Kid Cudi also received some flak from fans for his pitching ability. The singer was invited to throw the first pitch at a recent Cleveland Guardians game. Like many celebs in the past he seemed to find out that it wasn’t as easy as it looks and his unimpressive pitch made the rounds online. Suge Knight Discusses Keefe D’s Arrest In 2Pac Killing, Says He Won’t Testify

Suge Knight discussed the arrest of Duane “Keefe D” Davis in connection to the killing of 2Pac during an interview with TMZ on Monday. The Death Row Records co-founder explained over the phone that he doesn’t plan on testifying in the investigation. The arrest of Keefe D marks the first time charges have been made in the long-unsolved case.

“Well, surprise, number one,” Suge said of his reaction to the news. “Because I don’t think Keefe D would ever get arrested, nor do I want to see him get arrested. Let’s get one thing straight, first and foremost: me and Keefe D played on the same Pop Warner football team. And whatever circumstances — if he had an involvement with anything, if he didn’t have an involvement with anything, I wouldn’t wish somebody going to prison on my worst enemy.”

Knight went on to confirm that Orlando Anderson, the nephew of Keefe D, was not the shooter. The comments match up with another witness in the investigation who told a Las Vegas grand jury Deandre “Big Dre” Smith shot 2Pac. “There were only two people in the car; ‘Pac’s not gonna tell the story, I ain’t gonna tell the story,” Knight continued. “But I can tell you this: I never had nothing bad to say about Orlando because […] he wasn’t the shooter [..] It wasn’t Anderson, so that’s all I got to say about that part.” From there, he confirmed he won’t testify in the case. “I wouldn’t be. Well, number one, I’m not gonna get on the stand and testify on somebody for what? […] I wouldn’t go, I wouldn’t testify. None of that shit.”

Suge Knight is currently serving a 28-year sentence for voluntary manslaughter. Keefe D will appear in court on Wednesday, October 4, for his arraignment. Be on the lookout for further updates on the investigation into 2Pac’s murder on HotNewHipHop.

If this past Friday’s release of Latto’s new single “Issa Party” was your first time being exposed to Baby Drill, you might just be wondering who the young Atlanta rapper is and how he’s connected to the former Uproxx cover star. At just 22 years old, Baby Drill — whose real name is DelQuristo Wilson according to independent Atlanta courtroom reporter George Chidi — has already had a full life. Baby Drill had been accused last year of murder and violations of Georgia’s controversial RICO law, which has recently come under scrutiny for its broad application in the case against Young Thug and YSL. Before that, though, he told Revolt he was sent to boot camp at 15 after catching an armed robbery charge, among others, and pursued a welding certification at Georgia Tech.

However, music and the streets kept calling, and apparently, he’s proven receptive to both (allegedly). Encouraged by fellow rappers and early successes in collaborating with established names such as 21 Savage, G Herbo, and Young Nudy, he’s been pursuing rap with a greater fervor than ever. Now, he’s apparently signed — or at least affiliated — with PDE, Young Nudy’s label (and the accused gang, for which he received those charges last year, since dropped). His connection with Young Nudy is likely the source of his working with Latto; during her Uproxx photo shoot, she insisted that Nudy is currently her favorite rapper from her hometown. The duo has worked together multiple times in Baby Drill’s short time in the business, including on his second mixtape Drill Season.

The appeal in Drill’s music — which is inspired by the migratory mini-genre from which he takes his name — is in its descriptive, unfiltered accounts of street life in Atlanta. Those accounts are also why he’s found himself in hot water with the authorities, and hopefully, he can find the balance between authenticity and offering up evidence. If he can, he could have a long career ahead of him and not a long prison sentence.

Grimes Files Lawsuit Against Elon Musk To Establish Parental Rights Of Their Children

Drama continues to follow Elon Musk wherever he goes. Some of it spawns from his relationship with his ex Grimes, which continues to be dragged into the public light. Last month that spawned an online beef with Shivon Zills, another woman who has children with Musk. Ultimately, they settled the beef pretty quickly showing off their co-parenting ability. But the weird energy between Musk and his respective exes re-emerged when a biography about the tech billionaire was released.

In the biography, it was unveiled that Grimes and Elon Musk actually have a third child that was previously unknown to the public. The existence of the child and their name, Techno Mechanicus, caught a lot of attention online. What spoke even more directly to Musk’s attitude was a story about the mother’s c-section. Musk reportedly sent pictures of the procedure to numerous people unprompted including Grimes’ brother and father. He also reportedly didn’t understand why she was upset by the move. Now the tension between the two is moving into a legal format.

Now according to Page Six the singer, whose real name is Claire Boucher, is suing Musk. She filed a a petition to establish parental relationship which could lead the court to identify the legal parents of a child when they’re unmarried. Though the filings have been sealed they report that Musk is yet to respond to the legal maneuver. If the move to establish parenthood works it could lead to an opportunity for Boucher to seek out custody or child support in the future.

Grimes hasn’t released a new album since 2020’s Miss Anthropocene. Earlier this year she teamed up with Illangelo for a new single called “I Wanna Be Software.” There have also been dozens of tracks released with the singer’s AI-generated vocals through her GrimesAI platform.
