Drake Announced A Poetry Book Featuring Songwriter Kenza Samir, Which Is Arriving Later Today

By now, Drake fans are used to the “Spin Bout U” rapper dropping projects with little to no promotion. His most recent solo album Honestly, Nevermind arrived over a year ago with less than 24 hours notice. But today (June 24), Drizzy isn’t dropping an album, a mixtape, an EP, or even a single. His latest project comes in the form of a poetry book.

Drake has teamed up with songwriter Kenza Samir, who has co-writing credits on some of Drizzy’s songs to create a book called Titles Ruin Everything: A Stream Of Consciousness By Kenza Samir & Aubrey Graham.

The book, which was announced yesterday, will be available for purchase today at 1 p.m. EST at Drake’s official online merchandiser, drakerelated.

Not a lot is known about the book at the time of writing, however, Drake’s cryptic teasers has fans abuzz.

“I don’t know if I have ever wanted people to buy or support something more in my life,” he said.

While the project seems to be arriving on short notice, Drake first teased the book during his Table For One radio show on SiriusXM last year.

“Me and Kenza have a book coming out this year,” he said, “we have a book coming out this year, a poetry book.”

Though, the book is finally arriving over a year after the initial announcement.

NBA YoungBoy’s son KJ has a very famous grandfather. One of Youngboy’s 11 kids, KJ was born to Yaya Mayweather. She, in turn, is the daughter of Floyd Mayweather, one of the greatest boxers to ever fight. Over a 21-year career, Mayweather went 50-0 in professional bouts. Furthermore, Mayweather won belts in six different weight classes. Mayweather is also 3-0 with one no-contest in scored exhibition bouts.

However, YoungBoy appears to share a contentious relationship with the Mayweather family. After the sister of MMA fighter John Gotti III threatened Yaya following the chaotic fighter between Gotti III and Floyd, YoungBoy appeared to side with the Gottis. “I hate that hoe,” YoungBoy said in a response video to the Gottis, encouraging them to go after Yaya. Furthermore, YoungBoy said he “idolized” Nicole Gotti’s father, John A. Gotti. Gotti ran the Gambino Crime Family between 1991 and 1999. However, YoungBoy might want to watch his back as Yaya might be raising another boxer.

In a video reshared by No Jumper, young KJ is seen showing off his shadowboxing techniques. While his follow-through is a little hesitant, he has a good stance and seems to have the fundamentals down. Not content with just throwing some jabs, KJ even mixes in an uppercut. No Jumper posed the question as to whether people think Mayweather will train his grandson to be the next great Mayweather boxer.

It wouldn’t be the first time. Conor McGregor has openly spoken about his hopes for one of his sons following in his MMA footsteps. Maybe in 15 or 20 years, we can get KJ Mayweather versus CJ (Conor Jr.) McGregor in a Mayweather v. McGregor: Generations bout. No Savage Receives Three-Year Prison Sentence For Mall Shooting

DC MC No Savage just received a three-year prison sentence for firing a gun in a Virginia mall, AllHipHop reports. Moreover, Steve Descano (Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney) announced the decision on Friday (June 23). In addition, authorities sentenced him to ten years of probation and barred him from going to the Tysons Corner Center mall. Earlier this year, the 23-year-old (real name Noah Settles) pleaded guilty to three counts of malicious discharge of a firearm in an occupied building and one count of using a firearm in felony commission. Before this decision, Settles faced up to 43 years in prison.

“Today, the justice system has shown that perpetrators of gun violence will be held accountable for their actions,” attorney Descano expressed via a statement, speaking on the dangers of No Savage’s actions. “Firing a gun into a public space is a serious crime, one that endangered our community members and threatened their future sense of safety. In cases like these, it is the prosecutor’s job to ensure accountability and use the tools at our disposal to prevent this sort of dangerous incident from happening again.”

Still, prosecutors in the case wanted the DMV native to serve a much harsher sentence as a result. While they sought 15 years of prison time for Settles, the judge in this case decided to issue the mandatory minimum sentence. For those unaware, this incident first came up almost exactly a year ago to the day in June of 2022, when authorities named No Savage as a suspect in a Tysons Corner Center shooting. Furthermore, he opened fire inside the commercial hub and, fortunately, no one was hit. However, three individuals sustained injuries as a result of the evacuation of the premises.

Meanwhile, his legal troubles haven’t put a complete stop to the 23-year-old’s music career. As early as December of last year, he released new material, namely the song “Portfolio,” on streaming services. Now he faced a large speed bump in that regard, and thus the future of his career is uncertain despite the sentence’s short duration in comparison to what sources initially reported. Lil Durk Confirms “Almost Healed” Deluxe Is Coming

Almost Healed hit our ears a little under a month ago. Lil Durk dropped the 21-track album to decent reviews and a #3 peak on the Billboard 200. Almost Healed was loaded with collabs, including the wildly successful “All My Life ft. J. Cole” which has garnered, at the time of writing, 104.5 million streams on Spotify. The success of Almost Healed, and “All My Life” in particular, has somewhat contributed to Durk’s beef with NBA Youngboy.

The album release is not the only music Durk has been linked to as of late. Sources online leaked Durk’s verse from Drake’s “Search & Rescue”, which was cut from the final release. In the verse, Durk appears to make reference to drinking urine (“India know I’m down to drink pee/OP, mix it with the lean”) However, Durk has since claimed that he was actually referring to drinking soda. Despite this, Durk has recently confirmed that more Almost Healed content is on the way.

Posting to his Instagram story, Durk shared a picture of himself with an in-picture message that read “Almost healed album out but the delux” followed by two emojis. This appears to indicate that fans can expect a deluxe release in the near future. The images were reshared by DJ Akademiks. However, commentators were not too thrilled by the news. “ain’t no one listen to the original,” one wrote. “Great 10 more songs of bull shit,” added another.

The news comes at a busy time for album releases. Gunna dropped his A Gift & A Curse last week, which is believed to have sold 83,000 copies in its first week. By comparison Almost Healed sold 124,000 in its opening week. Meanwhile, Young Thug dropped his new album, Business Is Business, which features two features from Drake. The 26-year-old shares two children with his longtime lover, and while they’ve had issues of their own in the past, his current mission appears to be turning her into a recording artist. Blue has previously hinted at taking Alexis down a similar path he and Rock have ventured to bring in tons of money, and on Friday (June 23) he proved just how serious he is by promoting her first single, “Stewie.”

The song finds the mother of two clapping back at internet trolls who often compare her to the youngest of the Griffin siblings on Family Guy. It seems Blueface’s vision is even bigger than turning just Jaidyn into a star, as he announced a new label, called Milf Music, which he’s dedicating to signing only women with children. “You don’t have to be a rapper, I just have to see star quality in you,” he told his Instagram followers in a recent Story post.

Quando Rondo’s Lawyer Names Ray Charles & Led Zeppelin To Try To Free Him

Authorities recently indicted Quando Rondo on drug and gang-related charges, alleging he leads the Rollin’ 60s organization. During a bond hearing in Georgia on Friday (June 23), his attorney Jonah Pine argued for his prompt release from jail in court. However, his argument contained some interesting references and reasoning in relation to the Savannah native’s music career and opportunities. Moreover, he spoke of his placement on Atlantic Records, bringing up the label’s extensive and commercially gigantic history, plus their concern for the MC. Even though it may seem odd for spectators of the trial, it would be far from the first time that an artist’s success and status tried to be used as an argument for their freedom.

“He’s got the support of one of the greatest record labels in this country,” Pine remarked according to WTOC. “The same record label as Led Zeppelin and Ray Charles, that’s his label. They’ve provided a letter to us, it’s very heartfelt and talks about his career.” On the other hand, prosecutors expressed belief in Quando Rondo being a flight risk and posing a dangerous threat to his community.

After their arguments, Judge Tammy Stokes revealed that she would seek advisement for both sides’ points. As such, she delayed a decision to determine whether the 24-year-old would be able to seek bond in this case following his mid-June arrest. As far as his charges, Quando Rondo (real name Tyquian Bowman) faces two counts of conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws in Georgia. Also, charges include one count of participating in criminal street gang activity and one count of use of communication facility in commission of a controlled substance felony.

Meanwhile, the Never Broke Again affiliate recently expressed regret over putting his personal life online. While that came before his arrest, the statement certainly took on new context after it, and reflects a tough balance between his career and his alleged endeavors. In addition, there’s his long and deep feud with Lil Durk, through which these crimes he stands accused of saw frequent allusion. Brady looked like he could still play another few years in photographs acquired by Page Six. The images were snapped by paparazzi in Greece, who caught the NFL great spending time with his kids. Moreover, his baby mama, actress and entrepreneur Masika Kalysha, spoke with The Neighborhood Talk about the arrest and their handling of it. Specifically, she reflected on the possibility of their young daughter accompanying her to visit him in prison, which she’s still hesitant about.

“You know, it is still taking a lot to get used to,” Masika Kalysha remarked concerning Fetty Wap. “It’s the new norm, which I’m not ready to accept that. You know, and it’s just… my daughter, she’s seven. So it really affects her. But we’re working with it, we’re working together, they communicate very often. We’re just trying to figure out the healthiest way to manage this until he comes home.”

Furthermore, the interviewer asked Kalysha whether she thought of taking their daughter to jail to see him in person in that environment. “Only a hundred times,” the actress replied. “You know, it’s a big difference from taking your daughter to sold-out arenas to see her dad than taking her to an institution like that. But, you know, at the end of the day, that’s still her dad. So we’re gonna make it work, and he’ll be home soon. And y’all make sure to keep streaming his music so I can get my check,” she concluded with a laugh after agreeing that as long as their daughter’s happy with the outcome, she’ll fulfill her wishes when it comes to Fetty Wap.

Meanwhile, even when looking to after he’s released, the 32-year-old faced intense post-prison conditions in court. For example, authorities barred him from seeking parole until he completes five years of his sentence. Boosie Badazz Celebrates Release From Jail With Hilarious Request

Louisiana rapper Boosie Badazz was initially arrested by federal agents on June 14. Later, it was revealed that Boosie was facing felony gun charges as a result of being spotted with a firearm during an Instagram Live session. Despite reportedly being granted bond on June 20, federal prosecutors appealed the decision. Furthermore, the appeal was upheld, a decision Boosie called discriminatory on social media. “He [the prosecutor] is racist and has evil intentions,” Boosie Badazz said. “Now they filed an appeal asking another judge to keep me in prison.”

However, on June 23, it was reported that Boosie had been granted a second bond. Later that same day, Boosie was seemingly released from the San Diego jail where he was being held. While his initial bond was $50,000, the size of his new bond was not immediately made available. To celebrate, he immediately jumped on another live session to announce his freedom.
