Drake Bets $400k On Jake Paul To KO Tommy Fury

Drake is confident enough in Jake Paul to knock out Tommy Fury during tomorrow night’s fight that he bet $400,000 on the result. The Toronto rapper shared a picture of the bet slip on Instagram, Saturday night. “Knock knock,” Drake captioned the screenshot.

Saturday’s bet is far from the first gamble Drake has shared on social media. He’s promoted his bets on various sporting events through Stake on Instagram for years. By betting on the Chiefs in the most recent Super Bowl, Drake raked in over $2 million. It’s been reported that Drake has wagered over $1 billion since joining Stake in December 2021.

Drake’s Bet

Drake and Paul have interacted on multiple occasions in the past. In 2021, Paul revealed on his brother Logan’s podcast that the rapper DM’d him after one of his fights. “Drake DMed me last night,” he said on the Impaulsive podcast. “[It was] one of the best moments of my life. He says, ‘You’re a demon crow, wow. How much you make for a one-minute set tonight?’” Paul also shared a picture with Drake while welcoming in the new year in 2022.

As for Jake Paul’s fight against Tommy Fury, the YouTuber turned boxer recently predicted that he’ll knock out the half-brother of Tyson Fury. Speaking with Sky Sports, Paul detailed his expectations for the match. “You can expect Fury face down on the canvas, unconscious and it’s going to happen fast. Get your popcorn but don’t blink,” Paul said. “They hate on me beating Tyron Woodley. They hate on me beating Anderson Silva, not understanding that they are both 10 times better boxers than Tommy Fury. So the critics and the sheep who believe Jake Paul hasn’t fought a real boxer, someone his age, they’re technically right and this checks that off. So that’s going to be fun to shut those people up. The kid is good but he’s not great and he’s never been in there with someone who wants it more than him.” Both Paul and Fury are currently undefeated in the ring. Their fight is scheduled for 2:00 PM, ET on Sunday. It will air live on Showtime in the U.S.

Michael B. Jordan Trolls Reporter For Calling Him “Corny”

Michael B. Jordan brought up a reporter’s previous comments on him during an interview on the red carpet for a screening of Creed III on Saturday. When the reporter mentioned that they went to school together, Jordan revealed that she once called him “corny.” The interviewer, Morning Hustle host Lore’l, downplayed her past comments.

“We go way back, all the way back to Chad Science [Academy] in Newark,” she began. “Oh yeah, I was the corny kid, right?” Jordan responded, referring to remarks she made on a podcast. Lore’l then insisted she was being “misquoted.” “No you did not hear me say that! I said we used to make fun of the name,” she continued, before switching the topic. “But yeah, he is obviously killing things out here.” She concluded: “Well, you’re not corny anymore.”

Lore’l had spoken about being classmates with Jordan during an episode of the Undressing Room podcast. She and her co-hosts, Eva Marcille and Dominique da Diva, had been discussing Jordan’s relationship with Lori Harvey. “You know what’s so crazy? I went to school with Michael B. Jordan at a point in life,” she said. “… And to be honest with you, we teased him all the damn time because his name was Michael Jordan. Let’s start there, and he was no Michael Jordan. And he also would come to school with a headshot. We lived in Newark, that’s the hood. We would make fun of him like, ‘What you gonna do with your stupid headshot!?’ And now look at him!” Jordan and Harvey have since broken up.

Creed III is scheduled to hit theaters on March 3, 2023. It will be the first film in the series that Jordan directed. It also stars Tessa Thompson, Jonathan Majors, Wood Harris, and more. It’s the first film in the series to not feature Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa.

Brian Austin Green Praises Megan Fox While Firing Back At His Ex

Brian Austin Green praised Megan Fox while responding to a claim made by his other ex, Vanessa Marcil. Marcil had alleged that she raised their son, Kassius, “alone.” When asked about her co-parenting situation with Green on Instagram, she responded, “We didn’t & don’t co-parent. I raised my son alone.” Green and Marcil dated from 1999–2003.

“So, I can’t tell you how frustrating it is to read continued lies from a 50+ year old woman on social media like she is still in high school,” he fired back. “She has never in her life been someone to walk the walk. Talk is cheap. Megan and I bust our asses to give Kass a well rounded childhood since his mom was rarely there. I’m assuming that’s why she posts so much of him now. When will she just GO AWAY.”

While Green shares his 20-year-old son Kassius with Marcil, he also shares Noah, 10, Bodhi, 8, and Journey, 6, with Fox. According to reports from ET in October, Green, Fox, and Machine Gun Kelly were all getting along amicably. “Megan, MGK, Brian, and Sharna are all cordial,” a source told the outlet at the time, while adding that “Megan and Brian have a healthy co-parenting relationship.”

The relationship drama for Green and Marcil comes while Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox have been on the outs as well. Amid cheating rumors, there’s been ample speculation that the two are breaking up. A source for In Touch recently claimed that the two are sticking it out, but aren’t in a good place right now. Fox has since scrubbed her Instagram page. “Megan is at her wits’ end with cheating rumors so much so that she deleted her entire Instagram and posted a weird statement,” the insider said. “She is blocking anyone that communicates any unsolicited opinion on her relationship or tells her about what is being reported. She wants to hear none of it!”

Boosie Badazz Says He’s Not Watching “Bel-Air”

Boosie Badazz says that he won’t be watching the new The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air show, Bel-Air. He shared his opinion on the rebooted series on Twitter, earlier this week. Boosie explained that he heard the new version of Carlton Banks does drugs, which turned him off from checking it out. The Peacock series stars Coco Jones, Olly Sholotan, Jabari Banks, and Adrian Holmes.

“IM NOT WATCHING THE NEW FRESH PRINCE OF BEL AIR [angry face emoji]. I JUST HEARD CARLTON SNORTIN COCAINE N WILL SLANGIN IRON [exclamation emoji] is this true?,” he wrote.

Boosie On “Bel-Air”

“I feel like this show is dealing with some truthfully realities. I haven’t seen Will sell drugs. He was hustling basketball games.. now Karlton hanging with white boys so yeah he doing coke!,” one fan replied. Another agreed with Boosie: “Aye Boosie hilarious slim… his thought process like mine. Definitely ain’t watch one minute of the new fresh Prince.”

Bel-Air premiered on Peacock back in February 2022. The streaming platform released a second season last Thursday. The show’s synopsis reads: “Set in modern-day Los Angeles, Peacock’s successful one-hour drama series Bel-Air imagines the beloved sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air through a new, dramatic take on Will’s complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air. As these two worlds collide, Will reckons with the power of second chances while navigating the conflicts, emotions, and biases of a world far different from the only one he’s ever known.”

Boosie’s comments on Bel-Air come after he recently revealed his reaction to learning about his daughter’s sexuality. Speaking with VladTV, Boosie explained that he’s still going to be supportive of her. The comments come despite countless homophobic remarks from the rapper in the past.

“Even though it won’t be accepted as far as — because I don’t want nobody in my other family to think it’s okay,” he explained, before adding, “But what she does, we’re gonna love her to death. But at the same time, our Southern family has never been that way. It’s never been accepted, but at the same time, she’s grown and she can do what the hell she wants. She’s old enough to know what she wants and that’s her. I learned of it through social media. Like you, I woke up to it… She never came to me and talked to me about relationships.”

As for Diplo’s original statement, he captioned a series of pictures and videos from the Grammys: “Beyoncé[’s] album was legendary (I’m a Beyoncé stan. Remember I produced some classic dance songs for her, like ’Til the End of Time’ and ‘Girls Run the World’). What’s important to understand was that her intention was 100 percent. She did the work, found the real producers, and she made classics. So, she deserves her flowers, and when she won, I was just proud to see my nomination on the screen in the huge arena.” He also noted that 2023 was the first year the Best Dance/Electronic Music Album category was televised. “Dance music has and will be the most Inclusive music of our generation,” he wrote. “Our community has always been gay / straight, but icy , poor.. white black brown purple .. it’s the music that had united the world during my lifetime and i’m glad to just be one part of it.”

Diplo released his self-titled fourth studio album back in 2022. The project features Miguel, Leon Bridges, Busta Rhymes, Lil Yachty, and more. Other nominees for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album in addition to Beyoncé and Diplo included Bonobo (Fragments), Odesza (The Last Goodbye), and Rüfüs Du Sol (Surrender).

Kash Doll Reflects On Starring In “BMF”: “It Just Feels Amazing”

Kash Doll says that starring in 50 Cent’s latest Starz series, BMF, “feels amazing.” She discussed the experience, as well as how motherhood has shifted her focus during a new interview with HipHopDX. In the show, Kash Doll plays Monique, a single mom and paralegal, who is also a love interest of Big Meech. Before BMF, Kash had only appeared in 2 episodes of Empire as herself in 2020.

“It’s a full circle moment man. I came up hearing about BMF when I was younger and just seeing how big their movement was. Being a part of this story on Starz with 50 Cent, man, it just feels amazing. It’s something I can’t explain. I’m just grateful for that opportunity,” she told HipHopDX.

From there, Kash Doll explained that her focus has completely changed since becoming a mother. She gave birth to her first son in January 2022. “Whatever I’m doing, I just give it all I got because my time means something. I could be with my baby,” she said. “So while I’m here, I’m a make it worth it, you know what I’m saying? I just got a different motivation now. I just try to give my best and that’s all I can do.” She added: “Since I had my son, I’m a little more cautious now. Before I make music or appear in the role, I just think about when he turns 18, and people tell him who his mom is when he finally listens to my music. I just think of my legacy now because my son is my legacy. I just want him to feel proud about what his mama was doing, I would love that for him.”

Later in the interview, Kash Doll discussed her most recent project, Back On Dexter: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape. The mixtape features Icewear Vezzo, Peezy, Payroll Giovanni, Sada Baby, YN Jay, Baby Money, and more. The 11-song effort arrived, earlier this month, ahead of her highly-anticipated sophomore album.

Over the years, Nudy has garnered a large fan base and an online following, though, in an interview with XXL last year, he admitted he doesn’t spend too much time online.

“I ain’t gon’ cap to ya. The only way I knew my fan base growing, when I do a show,” Nudy said. “Other than that, trying to go from the internet and sh*t, I don’t really be getting it, because I be seeing rappers that got a million followers and sh*t, and they can’t even get 100,000 likes. Little Brother Reflects On Doja Cat Shout Out: “It’s Just Really Humbling”

Little Brother rappers Phonte and Big Pooh recently discussed getting a shout-out from Doja Cat during an interview with HipHopDX. Speaking with the outlet for a piece published on Saturday, they admitted that it was a humbling experience. Doja Cat praised the rappers’ track “Whatever You Say” from Little Brother’s 2003 debut, The Listening, on Instagram Live in 2021.

“To see someone like Doja Cat just to say, ‘Yo, I’ve listened to y’all’s shit, this is the best verse ever,’ it’s just really humbling,” Phonte said. “To me, it’s just a testament of just not knowing how far your music is going to go. And even if something in 2003, something that when you put it out, it felt like, ‘Damn, people sleeping on this, they don’t get it, they don’t get it,’ for 20 years later, one of the biggest pop stars in the world, like legit pop stars to be like, ‘No, this is the shit. Y’all need to get up on this.’ Yeah, man, it’s extremely humbling. And I’m just grateful that we’re still around to get those flowers, and I’m thankful that our music just stood that test of time. That people can appreciate it now, more so than they did back then.”

Doja Cat’s Instagram Live

From there, Phonte revealed that he spoke with Doja Cat after the live stream over text. “It was around the time, because I want to say shortly after she made that video, that was when I think … She was on tour, and I think she had to stop the tour because of COVID and stuff. But we texted briefly, and I just said, ‘Look, thank you. I appreciate it.’ But it was just brief. But other than that, we had no relationship. It was totally, it came out of nowhere. But boy, the thing I came to realize is that, in the music business, the musicians and the business people are kind of different in that the musicians are pretty much, no matter what kind of music they make, they’re still pretty much kind of nerds. You know what I’m saying? And so, they’re studying. They’re always studying.”

As for Doja Cat’s original comments, she had labeled “Whatever You Say,” “one of my favorite verses in the entire fuckin’ history of rap, ever.” While doing her makeup, she added: “That shit was so smooth. He didn’t rhyme one fucking word. I don’t care what anybody says. Maybe the last bar. He said, ‘personal time inversed in rhyme.’ That was the only thing he rhymed together. The whole rest of that verse was not rhymed. Nothing. Not one fucking rhyming thing, but it worked. It worked. You don’t have to rhyme.”
