Nav, Lil Baby, And Travis Scott Stay Up All Night To Grind On ‘Never Sleep’

Nav returns with the first single from his upcoming album Demons Protected by Angels, tapping collaborators Lil Baby, Mike Dean, Tay Keith, and Travis Scott for “Never Sleep.” Tay Keith provides the beat, with additional production by Grayson and Mike Dean, and the three rappers let loose, calculating their income and detailing their spending through colorful metaphors hailing their wealth. The collaboration marks Nav’s second with Lil Baby after “Don’t Need Friends” from Emergency Tsunami and his fifth with Travis Scott.

Demons Protected by Angels will be the Canadian artist’s fourth studio album, following 2020’s Good Intentions. Since then, however, Nav did release Emergency Tsunami, a joint mixtape produced entirely by Atlanta producer Wheezy featuring appearances from Gunna, Lil Baby, the late Lil Keed, SahBabii, and Young Thug. The working chemistry between Nav and Wheezy started when they worked on a few tracks from Good Intentions together (three songs were placed on the final album).

In addition to featuring many of his frequent collaborators like Gunna, Future, and Travis Scott, Good Intentions also featured appearances from Don Toliver, Lil Uzi Vert, and the late Pop Smoke. It was followed by a deluxe reissue titled Brown Boy 2, adding Lil Duke and Quavo to its list of features.

Drake Trolls Haters With Surprise “Huge Fan Of Your Old Stuff” Merch Drop

The deeper that artists get into their catalogs, the more likely it is that they will release a project that isn’t so well-received by the fan base, and although it never seemed like the day would come, it appears that Drake has found himself in a similar situation following the back-to-back releases of Certified Lover Boy and Honestly, Nevermind

Fresh off the latter album’s release, Drizzy responded to the backlash over his new foray into dance music by saying, “It’s all good if you don’t get it yet. That’s what we do. We waiting for you to catch up. We’re caught up already. On to the next. My goodness.” Yesterday, the OVO hitmaker took things a step further by releasing a merch collection specifically aimed at fans who want the old Drizzy back.

Essentially embracing Jay-Z’s iconic The Blueprint III line “N*ggas want my old sh*t, buy my old albums,” Drake has released several “Huge Fan Of Your Old Stuff” merchandise items as a part of his ongoing Honestly, Nevermind collection on Drake Related

The merchandise consists of t-shirts, long sleeve shorts, and hoodies that harken back to Drake’s biggest albums of the 2010s, including Take CareNothing Was The Same, If You’re Reading This It’s Too LateViews, and More Life. In addition to sporting some of Drizzy’s most iconic album covers to date, the merchandise also takes a comical jab at people who aren’t feeling his latest material, as many of the pieces — from the already sold-out IYRTITL hoodie to the Take Care shirt that was recently modeled by Tobey Maguire — feature the Honestly, Nevermind logo alongside the message “Huge Fan Of Your Old Stuff.”

Take a look at some of the designs below.

If you’re feeling any of the pieces shown above, you can cop any remaining stock at Drake’s official site here, and stay tuned to HNHH for more news.

Kelis Slams Rihanna, Nas After Calling Out Beyoncé

Fans are celebrating the release of Beyoncé’s new album but not Kelis. The “Milkshake” singer was revealed to be sampled on Renaissance single “Energy” but she said that Beyoncé did not get her approval. Instead, she accused Pharrell and Chad Hugo of screwing her out of her publishing. However, this ultimately opened the doors for Kelis to express her true feelings about a few other people in the industry, including her ex-husband Nas.

One individual put Kelis on blast after she called out Beyoncé. A fan wrote, “Nas was right about you.” Kelis didn’t overlook the snarkiness, and fired back, “yeah, he was madly in love and has never been the same.”

If that wasn’t enough, Kelis apparently has issues with Rihanna. Another commenter slid under her post claiming that Kelis set the blueprint for Rihanna. “I feel like Rihanna rode a wave created by Kelis.”

It seems like Kelis agrees. She hardly refuted the claims but suggested that her apparent influence on Rihanna is a conversation for another day. “let’s not open that Pandora’s box today lol one step at a time friend.”

So far, Pharrell nor Beyoncé have issued any statements regarding Kelis’ comments but the “Bossy” artist shared a message during her Instagram Live where she claimed it was stupid and disrespectful to sample her song without permission. She also said Pharrell was being petty.

Kelis Accused Beyoncé Of Stealing Sample On New ‘Renaissance’ Album

beyonce kelis sample renaissance

Singer-songwriter Kelis is accusing Beyoncé of stealing a sample for her new album, Renaissance.  Beyoncé’s track, “Energy”, samples Kelis’ “Get Along With You” from her 1999 debut album, Kaleidoscope

Kelis is saying the sample was used without any notification, approval or permission, and she herself didn’t know her song was being used on Beyonce’s album until she found out on social media.

The 42-year-old R&B singer made several comments online about the song, calling it “theft,” “robbery,” and “disrespectful.”

“My mind is blown too because the level of disrespect and utter ignorance of all 3 parties involved is astounding” she expressed online. “I heard about this the same way everyone else did. Nothing is ever as it seems, some of the people in this business have no soul or integrity and they have everyone fooled.”

“Get Along With You” was written and produced by Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo of The Neptunes and are also listed in the artist credits for the Renaissance track, “Energy.” Kelis is not credited.

Beyoncé made no comment on the matter, instead announcing two more albums after Renaissance drops.
