It goes without saying that it’s been a tough few months for Wendy Williams. The personality’s Lifetime docuseries came out last month and has since resulted in a great deal of controversy. Just ahead of the doc’s release, it was also revealed that Williams has been diagnosed with dementia and aphasia. For these reasons, supporters suspect foul play on the part of producers and accuse them of exploiting Williams by putting her most vulnerable moments on display for the world to see.

In the doc, for example, Williams opens up about her financial struggles, revealing that she’s not bringing in the kind of money that she used to. There have also been various reports that people in her life, including her own family members, have stolen money from her. Now, the icon is facing yet another serious consequence of her fortune running dry.

According to TMZ, the federal government recently hit Williams with a tax lien on her New York City condo. This means that if she doesn’t pay up soon, they can start foreclosure proceedings, and take ownership of the property themselves. According to legal docs filed in January, she currently owes them $558,451.57 in unpaid taxes. Records show that she purchased the condo back in 2021 for roughly $4.5 million. This latest development has only increased fans’ concerns surrounding Williams’ team.

The outlet reports that her financial guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, was appointed in the spring of 2022. About two days ago, the longtime, controversial, R&B superstar sent out a flurry of comments directed toward the mainstream media and “fake celebrities.” This latest fiery Chris Brown rant went down on his Instagram story and many were speculating who he was taking aim at directly. “I DONT WANT TO BE ACCEPTED FROM NONE OF THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA AND FAKE CELEBRITIES. I AM KING IN MY OWN LANE,” Brown said.

“YOUR FAVE AINT GOT S*** ON ME AND THEY KNOW IT. AINT FINNA TAP DANCE FOR APPROVAL. YOU WILL BEG FORGIVENESS OF ME THAT I DO KNOW.” Some were thinking this has a lot to do with the NBA and the complications with All-Star Weekend. Quavo’s name was also brought up after their awkward encounter at Paris Fashion Week. After going scorched earth, you might think Chris Brown is done with the rants, but he is far from it.

Mase Says Cam’ron Ran Into Mike Tyson After Picking Jake Paul In Their Fight

Mase recently revealed that Cam’ron ran into Mike Tyson just after picking Jake Paul to beat the legendary boxer in their upcoming fight. Opening their It Is What It Is show, Mase explained that Cam’ron was still on his way to the studio and called him to let him know he spotted Tyson behind him at the airport.

“Cam is on his way here, he’s probably not gonna make this show. He was calling me while he was getting on this flight and he had some sad news,” Mase explained. “Mike Tyson, the guy he was running his mouth about, was standing right behind him when I saw him on FaceTime. I think Mike was whispering too him, ‘Cam, I need to talk to you.’ And then Cam say he gonna call me back but he never called me back. So for everybody watching this, pray for Cam right now. I’m praying for Cam, you pray for Cam that Mike Tyson did not take his comments seriously. This is what happens when you run your mouth. How ironic was it that Mike Tyson was there right behind him?”

Cam had taken Paul during a previous episode of the show, explaining that it depends on how long the fight lasts. “Mike is my man [but] this is my prediction for the fight: if Mike don’t get him out of there in five rounds, then I believe that Jake Paul’s gonna win the fight,” Cam theorized. Offset Kicks Off His Headline Set It Off Tour

This week, the Grammy-nominated and highly acclaimed songwriter, Offset, kicked off his first ever solo headline run, SET IT OFF TOUR, with shows in Philly, Silver Spring, and New York City. 

Known as one-third of the multi-platinum rap trio Migos, Offset’s tour shows fans a different side of the rapper, featuring him dancing and performing songs from his solo album, Set It Off. Opening night saw the superstar performer take the stage in front of thousands of eager and passionate fans. He rose to the top of the stage, opening with fan favorite FAN, while dressed and paying tribute to his idol, Michael Jackson. Throughout the night, Offset went through favorites from his solo Billboard top 10 debut Set It Off and previous solo and Migos tracks. Another memorable moment from the opening night included a surprise performance by Rich The Kidd performing Billboard’s current number 1 hit, “Carnival,” and his other hits, Plug Walk and New Freezer. The highlight of both nights was Offset’s Takeoff Tribute, where he pays tribute to his late great former Migos bandmate, Takeoff. Offset’s tribute to Takeoff saw thousands of fans coming together and celebrating Takeoff’s life by shining their lights throughout the venue. Offset closed the show with his hit verse from Migos chart-topping hit Bad and Boujee. His exit from the stage included him chanting, “Thank You. I love each of you here. This is my first solo tour. They said we couldn’t do it, and we’re doing it.” Offset is set to SET IT OFF in New York City on Mar 14, 2024, at Palladium Times Square. 

Skilla Baby, SleazyWorld Go, and YRN Mango Foo were also in attendance as support for the tour. 

Offset Gives Back – It’s important to highlight that Offset is also giving back to the youth in communities of the cities that he visits. In Philly, the superstar teamed up with Gillie and Wallo to purchase shoes for young boys in the community. Click here for the video.  In the DMV, Offset visited two high schools, Dunbar High School in Baltimore where he provided $30,000 worth of food and helped a senior with over 40 college acceptances and Ron Brown Preparatory Academy in DC where he spoke to the “Young Kings” and provided them exclusive merch and tickets to his Philly show.

Flo Milli Announced The Suprising Release Date Of Her Third Album, ‘Fine Ho, Stay’

I know I said Flo Milli should strike while the iron is hot in my spring hip-hop albums preview, but she’s really going for it. Today, the Alabama rapper announced the surprising release for her long-awaited third studio album, Fine Ho, Stay: This Friday, March 15. Presumably, she would like to capitalize on the buzzy success of her viral single “Never Lose Me,” which even found its way into A-list stars’ Instagram Stories (see below), but a two-day turnaround from announcement to release is Beyoncé levels of audacity.

The fan part of me hopes the strategy will not only be successful but also catch wildfire among artists who want to take control of their careers and shock fans out of the weird complacency/demanding cycle we’ve been in the last couple of years. The journalist part of me is terrified it does because that spring preview was hard enough to pull together with the five announced projects and speculation. If they all start pulling these shenanigans, Imma be scrambling every Friday to figure out what’s even out. Still, you gotta love the chaotic energy, especially if it proves Joe Budden wrong (again) about his declaration that the “girl rapper wave is over.”

Fine Ho, Stay will be out on 3/15 via RCA Records.

Summer Walker Asks Alicia Keys To Clear Sample For YTB Fatt Song

Summer Walker has intervened on behalf of YTB Fatt after the Arkansas rapper’s track “Secrets” was removed from streaming platforms due to an unauthorized Alicia Keys sample. “Wow that was my new favorite song @aliciakeys put it backkkk,” Walker wrote in the comments of a Neighborhood Talk post reporting the track’s removal. “Secrets” samples Keys’ 2003 song “Diary”. However, Keys is yet to respond to Walker’s request.

Of course, sampling is a hot topic of conversation right now. Kanye West is facing a lawsuit from the estate of Donna Summer. The suit stems from an unauthorized sample of “I Feel Love” on “Good (Don’t Die)” from Vultures 1. The song was briefly removed from Spotify before being reuploaded with an interpolation as opposed to a sample. However, Summer’s estate is still pursuing legal action, arguing the interpolation still falls under copyright infringement. West executed a similar tactic when accused of using an unauthorized sample of Black Sabbath by Ozzy Osbourne.

Elsewhere, Keys, alongside her husband Swizz Beatz, announced in January that they will be displaying some of their art collection at a special exhibition in Brooklyn. “Been holding this incredible news close to the chest,” the couple wrote in their caption. “Now, it’s our pleasure to officially announce GIANTS: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys opening on February 10 @brooklynmuseum! Swizz has been collecting art since the 1990s. Furthermore, he served on the board of directors for the Brooklyn Museum, where the collection is being exhibited, between 2015 and 2023. A majority of the paintings on display will be from Black artists. “The reason why we doubled down on African American art is because people weren’t collecting it. Things flow a little better now,” Swizz told the New York Times for a piece about the exhibit. However, the curator of the museum’s modern and contemporary art noted that Swizz and Keys were forgotten figures in the art collecting world.

Monica Refutes Allegations That She’s “For Everybody”

Earlier this year, Monica was announced as one of the opening acts for part of Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 world tour. The tour got started earlier this month which has created a lot more attention directed at the R&B darling than she’s bee used to for a while. When some of that attention manifested in negative ways, however, she felt the need to respond. In particular, she seemed upset by the claim that she goes through romantic partners often and recorded a long response video to the claims.

In the video, she begins claiming that “all of a sudden, I’m for the streets” before rattling off numerous reasons why she isn’t. She claims that in her most high-profile public relationship, she stuck around for so long that fans were even telling her it was overdue time to leave. She then listed off some of her relationships, insisting that even the shortest ones were a stable commitment. All of that evidence seems to leave her dumbfounded with how some fans can pick the specific criticism to level against her. Check out the full video response she shared below.

Monica Responds To Her Haters

In the comments, fans have a variety of reactions. Jackboy Arrested On Felony Drugs & Weapons Charges: What We Know

Florida rapper Jackboy, also known as Pierre Delince, has unfortunately found himself in trouble with the law again. Only a few months ago, the rapper was put behind bars on burglary charges. On Tuesday night, the rapper encountered a new legal hurdle following a traffic stop in Port St. Lucie. The incident led to his arrest on multiple felony drug and weapons charges. Here’s what we know about the situation.

The Arrest

The events leading to Jackboy’s arrest unfolded when two Port St. Lucie police detectives conducted a traffic stop on a black Chevrolet Suburban driven by Delince. The detectives noticed several infractions, including excessively tinted windows and the smell of burnt marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Additionally, The “Havin My Way” rapper’s actions, such as using FaceTime while driving and evading the police after a stoplight, aroused suspicion.

Upon pulling over the Suburban, the detectives observed a handgun inside the vehicle. Given that Delince was a convicted felon with a suspended driver’s license, they promptly took him into custody. A subsequent search of the SUV revealed further incriminating evidence, including a loaded Glock 19 handgun with an extended magazine, marijuana, and cannabis-related products.

Delince, aged 26, faces a litany of charges, including possession of a weapon by a felon, use or display of a firearm during a felony, possession of marijuana over 20 grams, as well as multiple misdemeanors. Additionally, he was found to have violated an active protection order prohibiting him from possessing firearms due to a prior incident.

Evidence Uncovered

The search of Delince’s vehicle yielded significant evidence against him. Besides the loaded handgun and marijuana, authorities discovered various cannabis products, including vape pens and THC-infused drinks. The presence of drug paraphernalia further solidified the case against him.

In addition to the charges related to firearms and drug possession, he faces consequences for driving with a suspended license and violating a court order. Presently, he is being held without bond at the St. Lucie County Jail.
