XXXTentacion’s Killer Argues He’s Not An “Evil Person”

XXXTentacion’s killer, Michael Boatwright, recently spoke out in a statement on his social media pages as caught by DJ Akademiks. Boatwright is currently behind bars after a judge sentenced him to two consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole, plus another 30 years for other charges, last year.

In his post, Boatwright wrote: “Y’all just judge me off this one thing y’all know bout me but y’all don’t even know the truth behind all this, I’m not this evil person that everybody think I am and nobody even know me as a person y’all believe in everything u see on social media, I’m not sorry for nothing I did. #itsstillfreeme.”

When DJ Akademiks shared the post on X (formerly Twitter), fans had plenty to say about the statement. “I wonder what he means by the truth behind all this, are we missing something?” one user asked. Another replied: “Him not being remorseful publicly is going to keep him from getting parole.” Other users joked about the unfounded rumors Drake was allegedly involved in the killing. “The murderer is here taking responsibility every time but they still find a way to blame Drake for X’s murder,” one user wrote.

Fashion Nova has taken down the viral images marketing their “BBL Booty Butt Pad” Halloween costume accessory. The company originally had been using a Drake-lookalike wearing his iconic colorful hair clips to show off the item, seemingly referencing Metro Boomin’s “BBL Drizzy.”

Fans on social media initially had mixed reactions to Fashion Nova’s costume. “Just trying to prove it’s a 20v1/ witch-hunt on one person. Marking yourselves look like clowns,” one fan of Drake wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Another defended the jokes, writing: “Drake and his fans acting like his victim for stuff like this when he’s brought it upon him with those corny and uncalled disses towards Megan, Riri and Serena which they either labeled it as ‘petty’ or turned a blind eye is the funniest shi they ever pulled.”

Metro and Drake spent several months dissing one another, earlier this year, following the release of “Like That.” More recently, Metro claimed that he doesn’t have any serious issues with Drake during an appearance at the Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit. “I feel like the competition is great for the game,” Metro said. “Hip-hop has always been more of a competitive genre, even if just keeping it on music. And it’s not serious how everybody tries to make it. Because also with hip-hop, there’s a lot of ego involved. You’re supposed to feel like you’re the best. Everybody from the highest to the lowest guy, you’re supposed to at least feel like you’re the best.”

Swizz Beatz Has Been Accused Of Receiving $7.3 Million In Stolen Funds Connected To The 1Malaysia Development Berhad Scandal

According to reports, Swizz Beatz’s money is looking funny. The famed producer, Verzuz co-founder, and loving husband to Alicia Keys has supposedly been named in an international fraud scandal.

Based on a lawsuit filing obtained by AllHipHop, Swizz Beatz received a whooping sum of $7.3 million in stolen funds connected to the 1Malaysia Development Berhad scandal (often referred to as 1MDB).

In the paperwork, it alleged that Swizz Beatz (real named Kasseem Dean) was tied back to Jho Low as far back as the 2010s. “As the 1MDB Fraud was underway, Jho Low became a well-known figure in the Hollywood scene and developed a reputation as a businessman with deep pockets and a penchant for hosting lavish, star-studded parties and group vacations,” reads the suit. “Throughout the early 2010s, Low befriended many U.S. celebrities including Dean and his wife Alicia Keys. Between September 21, 2012 and September 4, 2014, Jho Low and/or Eric Tan caused the debtors to transfer $7,300,000 to defendants and, during that same time period, the debtors did not receive any money back from the defendants or any other consideration from the defendants in exchange for the fraudulent transfers.”

The breakdown of funds supposedly sent to Dean include, a $1.5 million payment to Swizz Beatz Productions Inc. in September 2012 as well as a $1 million then additional $800,000 transfer deployed in October 2012 by Alsen Chance. In addition to that, Dean’s Monza Studios is accused of receiving $800,000 in November 2013 and $1 million in December 2013 from Affinity sent $800,000 to Swizz Beatz’s Monza Studios in November 2013 and $1 million in December 2013. Outside of that, the filing alleged that Dean was personally sent $500,000 in June 2014, $300,000 in July 2014 and $1.4 million in September 2014.

Now, liquidators are seeking damages in the amount of $3.3 million from Swizz Beatz Productions, $1.8 million from Monza Studios, and then $2.2 million from Dean himself. The filer is also demanding that Dean cover attorneys’ fees and other court costs. Swizz Beatz has not yet addressed the lawsuit.

In April 2023, Pras Michel (of hip-hop trio Fuguees) was found guilty of several counts of money laundering in connection with the scandal. Despite his conviction, Michel maintains his innocence.

Pictures of JAY-Z and Aaliyah with Diddy are resurfacing on social media, in the wake of the Bad Boy mogul’s arrest in New York City, last month. As caught by DJ Akademiks on Saturday, one of the pictures shows JAY appearing to hold hands with the late singer, Aaliyah. Diddy is currently facing charges of alleged sex trafficking and racketeering.

One user replied on X (formerly Twitter) to Akademiks’ post: “Don’t tell me they was trading her off because they say Damon Dash use to hit and then Jay-Z start hitting .. this pic prove they all was freaking off together.” Another wrote: “I’m holding out until the trial. I wanna see what actual accusations and actual evidence there is against p diddy. I will admit my gut is telling me Jay is a scumbag.”

Dame Dash is also alongside Aaliyah in many of the photos, but he’s already denied that anything inappropriate happened between them. Additionally, he’s turned attention to JAY-Z, asking why he hasn’t condemned Diddy over the allegations he’s facing. “As much as he’s been to me unfair toward, or not unfair, the way he’d be f*cking with my money, I want to hope that that’s the worst that he’s been doing,” Dame said of JAY during a recent interview with America Nu. “I would never want to hear like, ‘Jay at the freak off party’, that’s crazy. The sh*t they saying, and I just be wondering why nobody… he don’t say nothing about it.”

Diddy has already pleaded not guilty to the alleged crimes and plans to argue his case in court. JAY-Z isn’t formerly accused of anything in relation to the allegations. Kendrick Lamar Faces Stingy Criticism For His GRAMMY Submissions

Kendrick Lamar, easily, had one of the strongest years of anyone and it’s all thanks to the evisceration of Drake. The kid from Compton has several of the biggest hip-hop records such as “Not Like Us” and “Like That”. Speaking of those two records, Kendrick Lamar officially sent them in for GRAMMY nomination consideration earlier this week. The dagger in the battle with Drizzy could have a chance to win five categories, including “Record of the Year,” “Song of the Year,” “Best Rap Performance,” and more. As for his viral feature on the latter, it’s gunning for four of five same awards as the most successful diss record ever.

Despite all of this assumed critical acclaim, there have been quite a lot of overly critical hip-hop fans, most of them being Drake stans (some Lil Wayne fans too). They have continued to claim again and again that he’s only been so relevant this year due to mentioning The Boy. Furthermore, Lamar has received lots of hate for getting the nod to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, as even his MC counterparts have expressed how Weezy deserved it over him.

Twitter Has Mixed Reactions To Hip-Hop Fan’s Take On Kendrick Lamar’s GRAMMY Submissions

So, it’s not a shocker to us at all that the hitmaker is having to hear noise for his GRAMMY submissions. According to a repost from Akademiks TV, a hip-hop fan expresses in a Tik Tok how the award show has been overly dismissive of the genre for years. Essentially, he wonders why, Lamar would actively participate and do it “for the culture.” Some we in agreement, while others feel like it can’t hurt since he’s been so dominant at the show, despite some few robberies in the past.
