Dalai Lama Apologizes After Asking Child To “Suck” His Tongue

The Dalai Lama is the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism’s Gelug school. The title is passed down from leader to leader. Each subsequent individual chosen as the Dalai Lama is believed to be the reincarnation of the last. Reincarnation is a core tenant of Buddhism and the search for the Dalai Lama is done incredibly rigorously.

The currently serving Dalai Lama is the 14th individual to hold the name. He was born in 1935, took the title in the same year, and was officially enthroned in 1950. He currently lives in India as a religious refugee, after fleeing Tibet due to the increasing threat to Tibetan sovereignty from the Chinese government. The 14th Dalai Lama is widely considered one of the more popular world leaders. However, he has been forced to issue an apology after a viral incident raised more than a few eyebrows.

Dalai Lama Apologizes For Tongue-Sucking Comment

In a now-viral Indian media clip, the Dalai Lama is seen greeting a young Indian boy. They stick their tongues out at each other and touch foreheads before the religious leader appears to try and suck on the tongue of the child. As the child recoils, the Dalai Lama can be heard asking if he can suck on the boy’s tongue. The presentation of the tongue is a common greeting in Tibet. It stems from a folkloric tradition to check that someone is not the reincarnation of a cruel, black-tongue Tibetan king. However, the attempt to suck on the boy’s tongue went too far for some people.

A brief statement released on social media channels said that the Dalai Lama “apologizes to the boy and his family, as well as his many friends across the world, for the hurt that his words may have caused.” The statement goes on to say that the leader “regrets the incident”. However, it also notes that “His Holiness often teases people he meets in an innocent and playful manner”. The incident is likely a traditional greeting taken too far in the wrong context. Despite this, it does not take away from the shock that millions felt as the footage made its way across social media.

What Does Kim Kardashian Say About Kanye West On Drake’s ‘Search & Rescue’?

It’s officially New Music Friday, and of the slew of new tracks that dropped at midnight, what has so far stood out the most is Drake’s new one, “Search & Rescue.” The track has actually been making headlines for a few days now, when Drake previewed it and revealed it featured a sample of Kim Kardashian talking about her and Kanye West’s divorce.

What exactly does Kardashian say about Kanye West on Drake’s “Search & Rescue?”

The sample is of a conversation between Kardashian and Kris Jenner, from an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The exchange goes:

Kardashian: “I didn’t come this far just to come this far and not be happy.”
Jenner: “OK, that’s fair.”
Kardashian: “Remember that.”
Jenner: “You didn’t come this far just to come this far.”
Kardashian: “Yup. I saw it on the internet [laughs].”

Part of that conversation can be seen in this video:

In that same episode (but not on the Drake song), Kardashian also said:

“I just feel like I’ve worked so hard in life to achieve everything that I’ve wanted to, and I’ve lived up to my expectations and achieved ten times more than I even thought was humanly possible, but I don’t have a life to share that with. Like, I do — obviously my kids and everything — but am I just going to sit here and think, ‘OK, my kids fulfill me and I’m good?’

I never thought I was lonely. I always thought that’s totally fine: I could just have my kids, my husband moves from state to state, and I just am on this ride with him, and I was OK with that. And then after turning 40 this year, I realized, like, ‘No, I don’t want a husband that lives in a completely different state.’ To me, I thought, ‘Oh my god, that’s when we’re getting along the best,’ but then that is sad to me and that’s not what I want.”

One Of Trump’s Wacky Lawyers Actually Thinks His Indictment Will Make Him An Iconic Figure Like Tupac And Biggie

Donald Trump’s recent indictment has everyone talking. While most are elated that he’s finally getting his just desserts, some delusional Trumpers think this will only make him more appealing during election season. Some are even likening him to two rap legends.

In a clip from right-wing podcast The Benny Show, Donald Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba spoke to host Benny Johnson, saying that Trump’s indictment and impending arrest put him up there with some of hip-hop’s most revered acts.

“Donald Trump is Tupac. Donald Trump’s Biggie Smalls, he’s better than Tupac. I’m east coast, so I love Biggie,” she said. “Donald Trump is his own brand. He is everything. This is just gonna boost him, we’ve seen it in the polls. It’s not a question, it’s a fact.”

Last Thursday (March 30), Trump was indicted for paying hush money to Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about their alleged affair. He is expected to be arrested today (April 4).

All the while, several have shared images of themselves celebrating Trump’s arrest, including one group of people who flipped off Trump Tower in a photo shared to Twitter.

Several reporters have been waiting outside of the New York City criminal courthouse, waiting to watch Trump’s arrest in real-time.

In the meantime, you can watch the clip from The Benny Show above (if you must).

Leonardo DiCaprio (Yes, The Leonardo DiCaprio You’re Thinking Of) Testified In An Embezzlement Trial Involving One Of The Fugees

Last week, after the season finale of Law & Order: Gwyneth On The Slopes, it quickly became apparent that we, as a society, need more celebrity trials, if only for the spectacle that is rich people interacting with normal folks. Well, we didn’t have to wait long for another star-studded courtroom appearance (not including James Marsden’s mockumentary Jury Duty) as Leonardo DiCaprio took the stand today, though not for any winter sport-related injury, but for art!

DiCaprio was called to the stand in the trial of Pras Michel of the Fugees, who was allegedly part of a multimillion-dollar conspiracy in which Jho Low, a Malaysian businessman, reportedly gifted DiCaprio with paintings that had been bought with embezzled funds.

The actor said in court that he and Low attended “a multitude of lavish parties” while working on The Wolf Of Wall Street, which Low possibly paid for with those illegal funds. “I understood him to be a huge businessman with many connections,” DiCaprio said of Low in court, according to BBC. “He was a prodigy in the business world.” Do you know who else was a business prodigy at one point?

DiCaprio also testified that Low had once expressed interest in donating a “significant” contribution of $20-30 million to the Democratic Party ahead of the 2012 election. DiCaprio recalled, “I basically said ‘Wow, that’s a lot of money.” Legally, this checks out as a lot of money to most people. Prosecutors claim that Michel funneled money from Low into Obama’s 2012 campaign and hide the source of the funds which would be, as you might have guessed, not legal.

While Prais Michel denies any wrongdoing, there still haven’t been any elaborate stick figure diagrams to help the audience understand how this alleged embezzlement went down. How are we supposed to understand what’s happening when it isn’t drawn out in the simplest of terms? And when will Margot Robbie show up to take the stand?!

Fan Selling Playboi Carti’s Chewed Gum From Rolling Loud For $40K

Hopefully this is one of those April Fool’s pranks that the perpetrator deletes the very next day. A fan is selling chewed gum that allegedly belonged to Playboi Carti at Rolling Loud for $40,353.67, a hilariously specific amount for a hilariously unbelievable product. To be fair, Carti shows are typically as wild as they can get, and so the image of the Whole Lotta Red star spitting gum on a fan isn’t totally incredulous. Still, many took the opportunity to clown the hustler- and clown the rapper’s fanbase as a whole. What’s more is that people also blasted the $14 shipping cost, as if it makes a significant dent in a $40K investment.

Furthermore, Playboi Carti’s recent set at Rolling Loud Miami included teases of new music coming soon. Not only that, but Lil Uzi Vert also teased that they might drop something together soon, which got a lot of fans incredibly hopeful. After all, their frequent collaborations and teased joint album captured the minds of many, yet never came at the apex of its speculation. Since then, both went on to do great things in their respective careers, and after drifting apart, they seem to have reconnected.

Playboi Carti’s Alleged Chewed Gum Up For Sale

However, the “Stop Breathing” MC is also facing a significant public reckoning at the moment, despite his lack of social media presence. For example, the hip-hop world expressed shock and conflicted feelings upon the news of his December arrest for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend. After his ex Iggy Azalea further dug at his questionable behavior, fans were confused as to his future and what his side of the story is. Without a statement or acknowledgement (whose necessity is also debated), fans can only reckon with what police reports indicate and hold his music in that context.

Despite that controversy, hype and excitement for the next stage in Playboi Carti’s career is still strong. Moreover, he reportedly rented out all sessions in a Manhattan studio, which led fans to believe he’s fully in album mode. Given so many teases about it, only time will tell, but fans seem more ready than ever. If they weren’t, maybe that Rolling Loud attendee wouldn’t hold on to that old chewed piece of gum. Regardless, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Playboi Carti.

Lil Durk Announces J. Cole Collab, Fans Thought It Was April Fool’s Joke

It’s the most confusing day of the year, especially if you’re one to frequent headlines and the latest news. Moreover, Lil Durk reportedly announced that he’s collaborating with J. Cole and that new music from the two will drop soon. Furthermore, the initial report seemed to come from the NFR Podcast, a popular YouTube and podcast channel that’s very active in the hip-hop media world. Of course, this is believable considering that Durkio is headlining this weekend’s Dreamville Fest, and he allegedly made the comments during a sit-down interview at the festival. However, fans took a look at the calendar and raised eyebrows. Could this be too good to be true.

Well, Luca and Anthony of NFR stood by their word, and posted a photo of the sit-down interview in question. Still, everyone in the picture is laughing, and one would think they’d just post the video clip instead of a picture. What’s more is that when a fan asked whether it’s an April Fool’s joke, they said no and just replied with the same picture. They have rapport together, and Durk also has ties to the rest of Dreamville through his JID collab.

J. Cole’s Rumored Collab Has People Skeptical On April Fool’s Day

Eventually, someone posted the clip in question, and fans could finally get excited about the collab with no qualms. Given that Cole’s praised the Chicago MC’s work before, their appreciation for one another could surely result in a huge hit. If it’s not a hit, it’ll still probably be a high-quality track, as they’re both renowned as incredible lyricists and storytellers in their own right. Interestingly, despite the flowers laid on him and the people he’s put on, he revealed he’s envious of people who lead more peaceful lives.

“You know what I’m envious of, too? To that point,” he expressed to Bob Myers. “The way that I said is valid to someone who wants to live that life, but I also think another valid way to live is, yo. I’m envious of people who don’t have a strong desire or strong vision.” While it seems like backhanded praise, he went on to explain his point with much more clarity. Regardless, check out Durk’s reveal down below and return to HNHH for the latest on Lil Durk and J. Cole… and hopefully no April Fool’s scares.

Quavo’s “Rich Flex” Interpolation On “Honey Bun” Gets Mixed Reactions On Twitter

Twitter came through with some strong reactions to Quavo’s newest track “Honey Bun,” which he previously teased. Moreover, many took special note of his interpolation of the now infamous chorus on Drake & 21 Savage’s “Rich Flex,” AKA the “Can you do somethin’ for me?” flow. Over a bell-heavy and menacing trap instrumental, the Migos icon takes a more boastful, combative, and aggressive tone than his previous singles, both lyrically and delivery-wise. However, not everyone loved the homage to the Her Loss hit, and some criticized the song for other reasons.

“Quavo did not say honey bun can you do sum for me i know he lying,” one user wrote on Twitter. Whether they found it corny, unfitting, or straight-up bad, a lot of people had different reasons to criticize the hook. Despite that reaction, many are missing out on some of the song’s other notable features. For example, the Georgia native raps, “I don’t wanna hear no sorry for my loss,” as well as “They wanna see my emotions, I ain’t smilin’ at all.”

Quavo’s New Single Leaves Fans Divided

With those bars, Quavo seems to address how people approached him following the tragic loss of his nephew and fellow Migos member Takeoff. Moreover, the process of grief is always a difficult and personal one, and being a celebrity can dampen or intrude on that process. As such, there is much more to “Honey Bun” than the chorus might have you believe, even though it is its most easily identifiable characteristic. Another smaller reason why some fans expressed disappointment is because Yeat was rumored to also appear on the track, as they were spotted together around its announcement.

Meanwhile, the 31-year-old was also in the news this week due to fling rumors with singer and actress Chlöe, which she sort of denied. While she didn’t necessarily confirm the rumors, she didn’t outright deny them either. It was during a conversation with Latto, and they labeled him a “really nice guy” and complimented his locs. Regardless of that gossip, fans’ attention’s clearly turned to this divisive single and its reference to one of last year’s biggest hits. Furthermore, check out more reactions to “Honey Bun” below and return to HNHH for the latest on Quavo.

Bhad Bhabie Celebrates 20th Birthday By Twerking On Her Mom

Happy birthday to Bhad Bhabie, who celebrated her 20th by twerking on her mom in a now-viral clip. Moreover, on March 26th, she gathered with some close friends and family for the occasion, sources close to the social media star told TMZ. Not only that, but everybody in attendance seemed to have a good time in the video, including her mom who was subject to a lap dance of sorts. “She didn’t learn this from me, because I don’t think I can do it,” the mother of Danielle Bregoli said in the video. As the family got together poolside in Florida, this is just another chapter in the artist’s many antics and noteworthy social media presence.

Furthermore, it’s also not the first time she drew reactions for her birthday. For example, she launched an OnlyFans account on her 18th birthday, although that came with a backhanded reproach for subscribers. She agreed to a question that people who subscribed right away should be “jailed,” though it seemed probably in jest. After all, it’s odd to open a business and get mad at those who go to support it.

Bhad Bhabie Twerking On Mom

However, many criticized this display for being inappropriate, corny, cringe, or a variety of other buzzwords. Still, most of the consensus online seemed to agree that it’s ultimately up to them, and that people should be happy they’re on good terms. It seemed like quite the harmless act in the first place, and a lot of people chimed in with their own experiences dancing with family members. She’s been in much hotter water before, and it’s ultimately up to the mom to decide whether it’s uncomfortable or not.

Meanwhile, the 20-year-old recently tattooed Jerrika Karlae’s name near her wrist, who was Young Thug’s former flame. The two got close over the past few years, with Karla standing by their friendship in various interviews. “She made right of her wrongs,” she told Paper all the way back in 2018. Considering how much flack she gets online outside of the industry, it’s heartening to see she has support regardless. With that in mind, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Bhad Bhabie.

Ice Spice Chain Wasn’t Stolen, Hoax Was A TikTok Joke

Social media users will do anything to get quick clicks, even if that means pretending to commit a crime for the sake of views. Fans recently expressed concern after a TikTok of a man claiming to have stolen Ice Spice’s chain went viral on Wednesday (March 29), but it seems like that video is reportedly just a hoax and a way to stir up fake engagement. Moreover, the video consists of two men, one of which holds up a chain of the word “Queen” and claims it’s the “Munch” hitmaker’s.

While many slammed the alleged perpetrators in the comments, a lot of people also said that it was clearly a joke. Apparently, some took it a little more seriously than others. Still, as one of the biggest artists right now, it’s understandable that so many came to her defense swiftly. At the end of the day, it seemed like two guys making a targeted video in jest, as much as people blasted them for stealing a woman’s jewelry. After all, they laugh while imitating her “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2” flow at the end, so hopefully they mean this more in jest than to get a reaction from her.

Stolen Ice Spice Chain On TikTok Is Fake

Speaking of which, the iHeart Radio Awards presenter hasn’t reacted or posted about the fake chain snatching as of writing this article. However, it’s fair to say she was pretty unfazed by it in the first place. According to TMZ, a source close to Ice Spice claimed that she never owned the allegedly stolen “Queen” chain in the first place. That’s more of a Nicki Minaj term, and the 23-year-old’s signature chain she wore during her rise actually reads “Isis,” her birth name.

Meanwhile, Ice Spice also dominates TikTok to begin with. No matter how hard people might try to take advantage of her name, nothing will be as big as her own creations and influence on the platform. Whether it’s her music playing everywhere or clips of her hanging out with North West and Kim Kardashian, she’s there for a good time, not a fake one. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest viral TikTok moments surrounding Ice Spice and for more updates on the superstar.
