Adam22 Attempts To Trick People Into Thinking He’s Gay, April Fools Prank Ends Up Backfiring

Adam22 is easily one of the more controversial figures on the internet, especially as it pertains to hip-hop. Overall, No Jumper is a massive brand that originally started as a deep dive into the L.A. BMX scene. However, it eventually transitioned into underground hip-hop. Adam was one of the first to interview XXXTentacion, and even now, that interview is still watched by many. These days, Adam mostly engages in antics, such as his most recent April Fools prank.

As you can see down below, he set up an elongated prank in which he would surround himself with a gay pornstar. This would make people think he is gay. Then, on April Fools Day, he revealed that he would be starring in his first gay porn scene. “I’m proud to announce my first ever gay scene!” Adam22 wrote. “For many years I have dreamed of what it would be like to shoot with one of the bros and I decided to stop holding back and live my truth! I know some of you won’t like this decision but I hope you will choose to respect my choice. Big thanks to my scene partner @michaeldohertyx for letting me tear that ass up! Can’t wait for yall to see this content!!!”

Adam22 Goes For A Joke

Following the prank, fans were not amused on social media. Many said it was all in poor taste. However, a significant chunk of people just brushed it off, saying they thought Adam was gay anyways, and that a prank was unnecessary. It was a great example of a joke backfiring. Regardless, the whole think went viral, which was probably Adam’s intention in the first place. One has to wonder what Lena The Plug thinks about all of this.

Usher Pulls April Fool’s Joke On Dreamville Fest By Teasing Beyoncé Guest Appearance

On the most dangerous day to trust headlines online, a headlining act had some fun with thousands of adoring fans. Usher just trolled Dreamville Fest during his set with an April Fool’s joke, claiming that he was about to bring out Beyoncé to perform. Of course, fans went ballistic when they heard the R&B singer say her name, but it clearly dawned on them that something was wrong when Usher looked back confused at his festival staff. After walking around the stage for a bit, beckoning for someone to come up, he stepped to the mic and crooned, “April Fool’s.”

Hilariously enough, it wasn’t the only prank scare that rocked the North Carolina event, although the other instance proved to be truthful (unless A.I.-generated content has really gone too far). Lil Durk said that he’s been collaborating with J. Cole during a sit-down interview at Dreamville Fest. When initial reports of the news came out, fans expressed skepticism until Internet sleuths posted the clip in question. As such, fans now anticipate a hard-hitting product from the two revered hip-hop storytellers.

Usher’s April Fool’s Prank Leaves Beyoncé Fans Fuming

Furthermore, the Confessions artist went on a bit of a hot streak promotionally recently thanks to a few factors. First, there’s his sultry and immaculate Las Vegas residency, during which he serenaded a fan with an intimate performance. To elaborate, he went into a crowd and danced with a fan as he fed her strawberries. Given his status as the “King of R&B” and the smoothness of his music, no one can deny it was quite the remarkable experience for a fan to get. Still, it’s not uncommon for Usher to engage with fans during his performances in a sweet and evocative way, and still gives a show for all to remember.

Meanwhile, he recently released the single “GLU,” which is a classic, buttery, and passionate R&B cut. With that, he fought back against common takes that the genre is “dead,” showing fans and detractors alike that he’s still got it. Apart from that prank, it seems like people were blown away by the sheer amount of hits that the 44-year-old played for fans at Dreamville Fest during his great performance. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Usher and this weekend’s Dreamville Fest.

Lil Durk Announces J. Cole Collab, Fans Thought It Was April Fool’s Joke

It’s the most confusing day of the year, especially if you’re one to frequent headlines and the latest news. Moreover, Lil Durk reportedly announced that he’s collaborating with J. Cole and that new music from the two will drop soon. Furthermore, the initial report seemed to come from the NFR Podcast, a popular YouTube and podcast channel that’s very active in the hip-hop media world. Of course, this is believable considering that Durkio is headlining this weekend’s Dreamville Fest, and he allegedly made the comments during a sit-down interview at the festival. However, fans took a look at the calendar and raised eyebrows. Could this be too good to be true.

Well, Luca and Anthony of NFR stood by their word, and posted a photo of the sit-down interview in question. Still, everyone in the picture is laughing, and one would think they’d just post the video clip instead of a picture. What’s more is that when a fan asked whether it’s an April Fool’s joke, they said no and just replied with the same picture. They have rapport together, and Durk also has ties to the rest of Dreamville through his JID collab.

J. Cole’s Rumored Collab Has People Skeptical On April Fool’s Day

Eventually, someone posted the clip in question, and fans could finally get excited about the collab with no qualms. Given that Cole’s praised the Chicago MC’s work before, their appreciation for one another could surely result in a huge hit. If it’s not a hit, it’ll still probably be a high-quality track, as they’re both renowned as incredible lyricists and storytellers in their own right. Interestingly, despite the flowers laid on him and the people he’s put on, he revealed he’s envious of people who lead more peaceful lives.

“You know what I’m envious of, too? To that point,” he expressed to Bob Myers. “The way that I said is valid to someone who wants to live that life, but I also think another valid way to live is, yo. I’m envious of people who don’t have a strong desire or strong vision.” While it seems like backhanded praise, he went on to explain his point with much more clarity. Regardless, check out Durk’s reveal down below and return to HNHH for the latest on Lil Durk and J. Cole… and hopefully no April Fool’s scares.

Lil Nas X Announces A Rihanna-Featuring ‘Montero Deluxe’ Album That’s Probably Just An April Fools’ Joke

In case you haven’t already fallen victim to some sort of hoax today, here’s a helpful reminder: Today is April 1, aka April Fools’ Day, which means you ought to be especially skeptical when it comes to anything you read online, particularly things that seem too good (or bad) to be true. With that in mind, Lil Nas X made a (probably fake) reveal this afternoon.

Lil Nas X tweeted today, “I am so excited to announce that MONTERO DELUXE (featuring Rihanna, Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, Tyler the Creator, NBA Youngboy, Saucy Santana, and more!) WILL BE YOURS TONIGHT at 7P EST! [wilted flower emoji].” The tweet also includes new cover art, which features multiple versions of Lil Nas X striking various poses and sporting various looks.

While Doja already features on the original version of Montero (on “Scoop”), some of the other added artists seem like unlikely gets here, especially Rihanna, whose last featured appearance was on Kendrick Lamar’s 2017 single “Loyalty.” So, that in combination with the fact that Lil Nas X has one of music’s best senses of humor seems to suggest this deluxe version of Montero probably isn’t a real album you’ll be able to listen to later tonight.

That said, there’s still a chance this is actually happening, so it wouldn’t hurt to at least check in on Lil Nas X’s Twitter later today and see if there’s an update, whether it be the album itself or Lil Nas X revealing it was all a big joke.

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
