Adin Ross Gets Upset At Drake For Allegedly Following His Ex and Sister On Instagram

In August 2022, streamer Adin Ross was surprised by a call from Drake while he was streaming. Ross’ star has faded immensely since that point. While still an incredibly popular streamer, Ross is permanently banned from Twitch and currently streams on the controversial platform Kick.

Furthermore, his engine runs a lot more on drama these days. A devout Andrew Tate follower, Ross now generates clicks by telling people to kill themselves on social media. As recently as last week, Travis Scott’s manager told Ross he was a “brand risk” and big-name artists just don’t want to be associated with him. Not surprising given Ross has co-streamed with self-described Nazis. However, Ross now appears to be trying to get Drake back on the phone. Or, at the very least, start some beef.

Ross Reacts To Drake’s Alleged Instagram Follows

During a stream last week, Ross opened up an image posted to his community Discord. The image claims to show Drake’s Instagram follows, with the accounts of Ross’ ex and sister at the top of the list. Ross looks at the image in shock for a few seconds before responding. “Damn chat, so Drake decided to follow Pami and Naomi. Drake. You follow them before you even follow me. You don’t reach out, none of that, that’s cool. I just don’t get why. I just don’t understand how you’re going to follow my sister and my ex and not follow me.” It appears as though Ross really took it personally that he couldn’t get that follow from Drake.

However, as his chat rightly pointed out while he reacted, the image is fake. HotNewHipHop has independently confirmed that Drake follows neither individual on Instagram. It’s likely that the meme was intentionally designed to up Ross and if that’s the case, it definitely did the job. Ross’ reaction to not being followed by Drake is kind of pathetic, especially for someone who supposedly buys into the whole “alpha male” lifestyle. Regardless, Ross was duped by his Discord server and the world got to laugh at his expense. Follow all the latest music news and viral videos here at HotNewHipHop.

Lil Wayne Stops Podcast To Say Goodnight To His Son: Watch

Lil Wayne has four children. His eldest is musician and reality star Reginae Carter. She recently landed her own show alongside her mother Toya Johnson. His second child, Dwayne III, was born to radio personality Sarah Vinn. Then there was Kameron, a son born in 2009 to Wayne’s long-time on-off partner Lauren London. Finally, there is Neal, who was born two months after Kameron in 2009. Musician Trina was also at one time pregnant with Wayne’s child, but lost the pregnancy due to a miscarriage.

By all accounts, Wayne is a devoted and dedicated father. Despite any beef or legal issues Wayne has run into over the years, his reputation as a father has never been tarnished. This has been reiterated by Reginae and seen through this co-parenting of Kameron with London. And this claim was on full display during a recent podcast appearance that the rapper made.

While appearing on Matt Barnes’ podcast, Wayne abruptly stopped the show. “That’s Kam, he going to sleep,” Wayne said pulling out his phone. “He gotta get his goodnight.” A moment later, Wayne facetimes his son, “Goodnight, boy. I love you,” Wayne says. “Gimme some,” he adds, wiggling his fingers in front of his phone camera. “Is Boss Man asleep?” he asks, referring to Kross, Lauren London’s son with Nipsey Hussle. When Kam says he is, Wayne looks over his shoulder at the large mural of Nipsey. “They got a picture of his dad here. He looks just like him…I’ll take a picture of it and send it him.”

It’s an adorable and heartwarming moment. Furthermore, it shows the love that Wayne also has for Kross, despite the child not being his. Wayne has long been praised for his maturity and attitude when it comes to parenting. This video is perfect proof of that. Get all the latest music news and viral videos here on HotNewHipHop.

Is Doja Cat Dating J.Cyrus?

Doja Cat’s upcoming album might’ve been titled Hellmouth, but social media is wishing hellfire and brimstone on her rumored new relationship with J.Cyrus. Earlier today (June 9), TMZ shared photos of the “Say So” rapper’s Los Cabos, Mexico vacation. In the sun-kissed images, the entertainer is seen kissing the former Vine star. So, is Doja Cat dating J.Cyrus?

Neither Doja Cat nor J.Cyrus has shared a direct statement regarding the rumors. The comedian may have subtly addressed the internet’s uproar, though: Cyrus took to his Instagram Story to upload a photo of a clown with the caption, “The Internet isn’t real,” between vacation photos.

Instead of addressing the rumors, the musician uploaded a video to her Instagram profile, seemingly promoting her forthcoming album.

Fans of Doja Cat are urging her to cut her losses now and walk away from the relationship due to J.Cyrus’ past controversy.

In the past, Doja Cat has spoken candidly about her battles with depression due to the stresses she has faced as a public figure. The pushback from this rumored romance could cause the singer to spiral if fans continue to criticize her online. Supporters of the Grammy Award winner hope this doesn’t become another romantic saga similar to Taylor Swift and Matty Healy.

Who Is J.Cyrus? Meet Doja Cat’s Rumored New Boo

Doja Cat has been having fun leaking parts of her forthcoming album with fans online. But she couldn’t have been prepared for paparazzi exposing her supposed relationship with J.Cyrus (real name Jeffrey Cyrus) online. Welp, it’s too late for that now that the cat is out of the bag. Images of the “Vegas” rapper and Cyrus enjoying a lover’s dip on vacation inadvertently dug up things from her rumored boo’s past.

So, who is J.Cyrus, exactly? The New Orleans, Louisiana native first found success on the now-defunct social media app Vine. Occasionally, he will upload different comedic skits on his official YouTube channel and across his Instagram page.

Since then, he’s dappled in several different sectors of the entertainment business, including music. His most popular songs are the 2018 track “Slowly Falling” and the 2015 single “Sank Ship” featuring The Classmatez. After battling addiction, Cyrus sought treatment and used his music to encourage others to do the same.

As a creative person with a unique sense of humor, it seems that Doja Cat has found the perfect partner. However, J.Cyrus’ past racially insensitive tweets resurfaced. Now fans of the rapper are urging her to call things off before things get too serious. View his past tweets and fans’ reactions to their alleged coupling below.

Jimmy Butler Moons Bam Adebayo During Press Conference

The Miami Heat tied up the NBA Finals on Sunday night with a 111-108 victory over the Denver Nuggets. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo were both key contributors in the victory, both scoring 21 points. Their stat lines were mirror images, with Butler adding 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Meanwhile, Adebayo contributed 4 rebounds and 9 assists. Furthermore, Adebayo was the last scorer of the game, sinking two free throws to put the up five with 45 seconds to go.

The NBA Finals continue in Miami on June 7, with both sides looking to take that all-important lead. However, Miami’s clutch win isn’t the only thing people are talking about in regard to Game 2. Turns out there’s a little bit of behind-the-scenes footage from the post-game press conference that’s going viral. Furthermore, the video shows a fun side to Butler and Adebayo’s off-court friendship. The pair have been teammates since 2019 when Butler joined the Heat. Adebayo was drafted by Miami in 2017. Additionally, they have both won Olympic medals with Team USA, just not together. Butler won his in 2016 and Adebayo took home gold in 2020.

Butler Moons Adebayo

The video, which appears to come from Butler’s Instagram and has since been widely shared, shows Butler backstage at the Game 2 press conference. Bam Adebayo can be seen on stage, addressing the media. Butler turns around and drops his pants before beginning to try and attract Adebayo’s attention. Someone can be heard trying to call Butler off but the Miami star persists. Adebayo finally notices, presumably getting a full view of Butler’s ass before returning to the press conference and asking a reporter to repeat their question.

It’s a fun and wholesome moment. but not wholly unexpected. Butler is a well-known prankster. Last month, it was reported that Butler had developed a love of country music from one notable prank. Attempting to prank his college teammates with Tim McGraw’s “Don’t Take The Girl”, Butler ended up falling in love with the genre. Elsewhere, Butler’s infamous dreadlocks from preseason camp were also revealed to be a masterful troll from the NBA superstar. What do you think about Butler’s prank? Let us know in the comments. Reddit’s Biggest Communities In Music And Beyond Are Going Dark To Protest A Controversial Policy Change

Reddit was founded in 2005, and since then, the social news and discussion website has become a pillar of the internet. It’s one of the world’s most-visited websites and has been a valuable resource for people interested in pretty much any topic the world has to offer. The platform is well known for its AMAs (“Ask Me Anything”), a Q&A format in which an expert, celebrity, or otherwise notable person answers user-submitted questions. Specifically in regards to music, we’ve gotten some great, insightful, and fun AMAs from people like Paul McCartney, Lucy Dacus, Carly Rae Jepsen, Snoop Dogg, and many, many more.

Now, though, there’s some drama happening on the platform and the site’s biggest communities, in music and beyond, are getting involved.

It all started a few days ago, with a post from the developer of Apollo, a third-party mobile app used to access Reddit, in the Apollo subreddit. The post currently has over 154,000 upvotes (which is a lot) and is titled, “Had a call with Reddit to discuss pricing. Bad news for third-party apps, their announced pricing is close to Twitter’s pricing, and Apollo would have to pay Reddit $20 million per year to keep running as-is.” The post goes into greater detail and notes that Apollo would likely cease to exist under this model, which would be prohibitively expensive. Developers of other third-party Reddit apps have shared similar posts.

Since then, there has been a movement to protest this. A June 2 post from the newly formed r/Save3rdPartyApps subreddit is leading the charge and it does a great job at summarizing the situation. It states:

“A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.

On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.

Even if you’re not a mobile user and don’t use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface .

This isn’t only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.”

The post then lays out a plan for a protest: “On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren’t able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn’t something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love. The two-day blackout isn’t the goal, and it isn’t the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they’ve broken, we’ll use the community and buzz we’ve built between then and now as a tool for further action.”

Since this post, a number of major subreddits have either shared similar posts or linked to that one, to declare that they too will be participating in the protest. That includes r/Music, which has over 32 million members and is the fifth-largest community on all of Reddit. Notable genre-specific communities like r/hiphopheads and r/indieheads, which have around 2.5 million members each, have also vowed to join the protest.

A list of other significant subreddits getting involved in the protest, some of which have tens of millions of members, can be found here.

Drake Invites Middle-Aged Fan On “It’s All A Blur” Tour After Bodying His “I’M ON ONE” Verse For TikTok

For the past few weeks, Beyonce has been taking over the headlines with all the antics unfolding at her RENAISSANCE World Tour shows. That’s likely to continue over the next month, but when Drake and 21 Savage hit the road at the end of June, many hip-hop heads will likely turn their focus that way. Seeing as tickets have been even more harshly criticized for their price than Bey’s own concerts, it’s likely that many fans won’t be able to attend and will instead rely on social media and blogs to get their fix.

However, it seems one lucky Drizzy lover may get a chance to see the Canadian perform live after showing off his own rap skills on TikTok. A few days ago a video of a middle-aged man bodying Drake’s verse from Future’s “I’M ON ONE” began making rounds online, even reaching the point that the father of one himself saw the iconic clip. “Need you at the tour big guy, for sure,” he wrote when reposting it on his own Instagram Story on Monday (May 29).

Drake Reacts to His Biggest Fan

At first glance, the TikToker would certainly not appear to be a Drake fan, but his dedication and memorization prove otherwise. “All my h*es rockin’ Audemar / All my h*es rockin’ Rollie, Audemar, Patek,” he spits while casually holding a beer in one hand. “Bustdown thotiana, bustdown thotiana / Bust down a thotty with a bustdown,” Champagne Papi’s enthusiast continues, impressing the internet with his abilities.

It remains unclear how serious 6ix God was being about his invite, but if the TikToker is at an upcoming show, we’ll surely see about it online. The It’s All A Blur tour is set to begin on June 29 in Memphis, TN. Following that, he and 21 Savage will make stops in cities like Chicago, Boston, Montreal, New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Seattle, Vancouver, and more. Which Drake song would be your number-one karaoke pick? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Celtics Fans Storm Boston Streets After Insane Game 6 Win Over Miami Heat

When the Denver Nuggets swept the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals, the Miami Heat were winning its Eastern equivalent against the Boston Celtics 3 to 0. As such, many NBA fans thought that another sweep was inevitable, but the Massachusetts team held on. After two victorious games, Game 6 tied the series thanks to an unbelievable play from Derrick White, clinching the win with just 0.1 seconds remaining. Sure, the shot was met with typical “the league is rigged” takes thanks to a clock controversy. Regardless, the Celtics are going back home for Game 7, a city that went absolutely ballistic with the Game 6 win.

Moreover, videos ran rampant online of Boston fans taking to the streets to celebrate. One clip in particular sees an athletic supporter climbing a street post and hyping up the massive crowd below him. From behind phone screens, one can’t even begin to imagine how electric the city must’ve been. “I’ve never been so excited to go back to Boston in my life,” Celtics star Jayson Tatum told press. Of course, the same applies to Miami, whose victory would’ve solidified the eighth-seed team’s absolute tear through the East- and lit their fans on fire. Still, given that both teams had their incredible moments and straight-up flops and fumbles in Game 6, anything could happen in the final game of the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals.

Boston Goes Crazy Over The Celtics Win

For example, Boston might have taken the dub on Saturday night (May 27), but it was their worst three-point performance of the whole season. On the other hand, Miami secured some truly remarkable clutch shots from the three-point line, but lost many chances to take the lead. On top of each team’s performance, the aforementioned clock controversy is a hot topic of debate in the NBA world right now. To sum it up, the Celtics were given an additional 0.9 seconds following their foul on Jimmy Butler (called with 2.1 seconds remaining) and his free throws, most likely due to refs maintaining that the foul took place at the 3.0 mark.

Derrick White Took The Celtics One Step Closer To The NBA Finals

However, other fans argued that refs missed Butler’s double dribble in the first place. These are two incredibly determined and passionate teams, and their fanbases are no different. With Game 7 taking place on Monday night (May 29), we can assume that there will be much tougher calls to make, much crazier plays to praise, and a whole lot of angry people on Twitter on both sides. If the Celtics win, it would make them the first team in league history to reverse a 3-0 trail in a playoff series. For the latest updates and news on the Celtics-Heat saga and the NBA post-season, come back to HNHH.

ATL Jacob Puzzled By Fan Who Thought He Was Dead

ATL Jacob had to deal with some confusing info when he hopped on Twitter on Friday (May 26). Moreover, as far as he was aware, he was very much alive, but it seems like a fan thought that he had left this world too early. “Ever since atl Jacob died durk songs been a**,” one user tweeted, which seems like quite the unpopular sentiment concerning both statements. Sure, Lil Durk recently got flamed for his new album cut “Sad Songs,” but he still has plenty of fans out there. Still, that’s obviously not the most inaccurate claim in that assertion. “N***a I’m still living,” the Georgia native responded on the social media platform.

For those unaware, the 24-year-old is one of the hottest producers in the game right now with an impressive array of credits and collaborations. Furthermore, if this is news to you and you’re a Future fan, you’ve likely heard dozens of his beats already. After all, ATL Jacob was once the in-house producer for Pluto’s record label, Freebandz, and produced massive hits like “WAIT FOR U.” While his production might be his main claim to fame, he also has a few verses on some solo tracks, and started in the industry as an engineer.

ATL Jacob Clarifies That Yes, He Is Alive

During an interview with HipHopDX last year, the Metro Boomin affiliate spoke on how his background in high school band prepared him for his success. “It’s about knowing when a certain instrument should come in, when you should take it out, or when to have something solo,” ATL Jacob remarked. “Just growing up knowing those techniques from band, I use that same theory today. Besides piano, I play some trumpet, a little trombone alto sax, clarinet, marimba, and xylophone. The whole percussion section: bass drum, timpani, quads, and drums. When I was in high school, I never bragged about hanging with Future. Only my close homies knew. They were telling everybody but nobody believed them,” he concluded with a laugh.

Meanwhile, the fan who tweeted the claim clarified that he meant to reference Turn Me Up Josh, who tragically passed away in June of 2021. Similar to Atl Jacob, he was a key piece of many smash hit hip-hop cuts like “Versace” by Migos and “Laugh Now, Cry Later” by Drake and Lil Durk. No matter how you slice it, there’s an important takeaway from this interaction: put some respect on producers’ names. Regardless, return to HNHH for the latest news and updates on ATL Jacob and your favorite rap producers.

Coi Leray Confuses Fans With Picture With NBA Trophy

Coi Leray is hard at work promoting and gearing up for her next album COI, but her latest post left many basketball fans confused. Moreover, she posed with an NBA trophy ahead of the Finals, which begin on June 1 pitting the Denver Nuggets against whoever wins between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat (the series is currently 3-2 in the Heat’s favor). “Winnnnnerrrrr @nba x (CL),” she captioned her post with a bizarre set of hashtags. “#TeamCeltics #TeamLebron #WNBAForever.” Given that LeBron and the Los Angeles Lakers lost against the Nuggets, many are urging the rap star to catch up with the news.

Jokes aside, she clearly just wants to show her love and support to a legend despite the disappointing loss. Also, as a Boston native herself, it’s no surprise that Coi Leray’s rooting for her team to make a massive comeback, which is already halfway done. If the Celtics reverse a 3-0 deficit against the Heat, it would be a monumental moment. Still, the series is far from over yet, and the comments filled up with many skeptics of the Massachusetts team’s chances of winning.

However, this isn’t the only big hunk of metal that the 26-year-old posed with recently. While performing at Revolution Saturdays at REBEL in Toronto, she brought our a platinum plaque for her single “Players.” The song, which flips the classic hip-hop track “The Message” by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, became one of her biggest tracks ever. With other sample-heavy tunes like “Bops” and “Make My Day,” it seems like Coi Leray found a solid recipe for success that fits her style. Despite the confusion that this brought about, the trophy makes one thing clear: right now, no matter the hate, she’s winning.

Still, another post of hers also left fans with a head-scratcher, which was when she revealed the tracklist and features for her upcoming album. Not only are David Guetta and Saucy Santana in the mix, but also Lola Brooke, Skillibeng, Giggs, and the one and only James Brown. Sure, there are some prominent rap names in there, but others have fans wondering what this project will sound like. We’ll have to wait and see how the hitmaker capitalizes on her hype. For more news and the latest updates on Coi Leray, stay posted on HNHH.
