J. Cole Shares Snippet Of New Song “Might Delete Later”

Fans of J. Cole are hoping that it’s a big year for the rapper. He hasn’t released a new project since 2021’s The Off-Season. But it’s been even longer that he’s been teasing a new album called The Fall Off. Despite his time away from releasing much of his own material he’s appeared on some high-profile features. Last year he scored his first ever number one hit by teaming up with Drake for the song “First Person Shooter.” He also featured on another one of the biggest rap hits of the year, Lil Durk’s “All My Life” which won the Grammys for Best Melodic Rap Performance earlier this month.

But now Cole appears to be shifting his focus back to his own material. Earlier today he shared a black and white video teasing some new music that could be called “Might Delete Later.” In the video he shares two minutes of a song with an accompanying video that sees him rapping in various locations around a hotel. In the song itself he addresses those asking him for favors who haven’t done anything to earn them. The song starts off with just a spare piano instrumental before drums eventually kick in. But shortly after Cole spits a bar about being interrupted by the cops after which he is literally interrupted in the video. Check out the teaser below.

J. Cole Gets His New Era Underway

If J. Cole did drop new music soon he would have the perfect opportunity to debut it live. He’s currently on tour with Drake for the second leg of the It’s All A Blur tour. Drake has already teased new music during a recent show and Cole following in line could make for some of the most hype concerts of 2024.

J. Cole has also continued to be a favorite rapper among other rappers. Just last week his one time collaborator Benny The Butcher labelled Cole as the best rapper alive. What do you think of the snippet of new music J. Cole shared? Are you excited for the potential release of The Fall Off? Let us know in the comment section below.

Yung Miami Called Out By Security Claiming She Ignored Them

The way the musicians and celebrities at large interact with the general public can often be heavily scrutinized. Sometimes the public’s entire perception of an artist can come from how they treat the everyday people they interact with. That’s why a new video of a security officer from this year’s Super Bowl calling out Yung Miami has so many people talking.

The claim was made in a TikTok by a woman who appears to have worked as security at the Super Bowl. The video features a compilation of videos she took while working the event that show off some of her interactions with celebrities. At the end of the video though, she calls out Yung Miami by name. She tells a story of trying to interact with her politely and being walled off completely. She then compares Miami’s behavior to some of the other celebrities that she feels were nicer to her. Check out the entire video of her footage and explanation below.

Yung Miami Called Rude In New TikTok

In the comments, fans surprisingly come to Miami’s defense. “They don’t owe y’all nothing and if you security you need to be working and not fanning out” one of the top comments on the post reads. It isn’t even the most robust refutation of the video though. Miami herself jumped in the comments to defend what happened. “How tf I’m suppose to hear you if one I’m on the phone. 2. You WHISPERED that’s my “good sis Caresha” like you’re literally whispering in the video! where in the video or where’s the audio of you trying to get my attention. How much they paying yall for this hate train I wanna sign up?!” her response reads.

Yung Miami dropped her newest album as one half of City Girls last year. Unfortunately, the album didn’t perform as well commercially as many of their fans were expecting. What do you think of the security officer’s claim in their new TikTok? Do you agree with fans that Yung Miami doesn’t owe anyone anything? Let us know in the comment section below.

Cam’ron On Erykah Badu: “Ni**as Be Regular Up Until They F**k Her”

Despite her incredible discography and contributions to the culture, Erykah Badu’s star-studded dating history remains a hot topic whenever her name comes up in conversation. “The Healer” artist shares children with three famous rhymers – Andre 3000, The D.O.C., and Jay Electronica – and has a reputation for radically altering the lives of others who she’s connected with. Among them is Common, who previously admitted he was left with minimal appetite while processing his split from Badu, who seemed to have a strong influence on his wardrobe during their time together.

Cam’ron, on the other hand, is a father of one son, whose mother tragically passed away after their reconciliation in 2018. Even with such a busy career, the fashion icon manages to help guide Cameron Giles Jr. in the right direction through his early 20s. Interestingly, he was surprisingly critical of Badu’s ability to lure in multiple men on a new episode of his It Is What It Is podcast with Mase. In Tuesday’s (February 20) video, they spoke about who’s more attractive between Lori Harvey and Amber Rose when Badu’s name came up.

“She’s a homie too but I told ni**as, ‘She can’t get nowhere near me with that pu**y,” Killa Cam declared to his co-hosts after disrespectfully referring to Badu as “Andre 3000’s baby mom.” “That s**t she be doin’ to ni**as is [wild]. Ni**as be regular up until they f**k her. Then you start wearing turbans, yarmulkes, the tie-dye shirts. No, no, no! You got to chill,” the New Yorker concluded, seemingly poking fun at Common’s style evolution.

“Mea Culpa”: Kelly Rowland Rejects Destiny’s Child Reunion Question During Netflix Interview

It’s long been suggested that Beyonce outshone her Destiny’s Child co-members during their time together as a group, but regardless of what’s happened in the past, Kelly Rowland is front and centre right now. On Friday (February 23), Tyler Perry’s latest film, Mea Culpa, will debut on Netflix. Starring Rowland as a criminal defense attorney who takes on a case of an artist accused of murdering his girlfriend. As with most good dramas, lust and passion raise issues between the client and his lawyer, who finds herself living a double life while attempting to evade too much danger.

The multi-talent acts opposite Trevante Rhodes, who manages to reel her in with his expert tactics of seduction. Earlier this week, Rowland and her co-star were speaking with the media about their work, at which time she found herself shutting down unrelated questions from a journalist. When chatting with V-103 Atlanta about her movie, the black-haired beauty was taken aback by an inquiry about Beyonce. “Your sis just dropped a whole new couple of songs, and it’s my understanding that Renaissance II may or may not be country-based, and then there’s a rumor going around that Renaissance III may be rock-based or a DC reunion,” he speculated.

Killer Mike Faces Fan Criticism For Resurfaced Documentary Clip

Killer Mike has had a big 2024 so far already. Earlier this month he took home a sweep of hip-hop Grammys for his new album MICHAEL and its standout track “SCIENTISTS & ENGINEERS.” But his big night was pretty quickly interrupted by an incident that occurred backstage after his celebration. That resulted in him being arrested and led out of the event in handcuffs. Video of him being taken out hit the internet shortly after and left fans seeking out an explanation.

In the weeks that followed Mike hit up numerous talk shows and radio spots. There he discussed his big win and subsequent arrest. But as he’s known to do he sparked some controversy during a handful of his appearances for various comments. That got fans looking into his past where one person on Twitter honed in on a clip from his Netflix docuseries Trigger Warning. In the clip, Mike is speaking to a classroom full of children and gives one kid in particular some controversial advice. “You owe your parents not to dream big. You owe it to your parents to dream practical and start making money as soon as you can. You’re not going to be able to be president,” Mike says. Check out the full video below.

Clip From “Trigger Warning With Killer Mike” Resurfaces Online

After enough fans responded to the clip, Killer Mike himself posted a reply. But to the dismay of many fans he seemingly dodged the actual issue at hand. Instead Mike chose to focus on semantics. “it is important u know all the facts. That beautiful Black boy is Canadian and he can NEVER be POTUS however he can be Prime Minister of Canada,” his response tweet reads.

Along his recent press tour Mike has beefed with Kai Cenat, argued with the hosts on The View and made some controversial claims about marriage on a radio show. What do you think of the comments Killer Mike made to a classroom full of children in his Trigger Warning show? Let us know in the comment section below.

NLE Choppa’s Daughter Does The One Bad Word Challenge

One of the funniest viral trends sweeping through TikTok recently targets parents. The challenge is built around them leaving the room with the promise that their kids can say one bad word while they’re gone. Rappers have already gotten a hold of the trans with a variety of different results. NBA Youngboy’s son got to try the challenge and unloaded more than one bad word. His mother hilarious reacted that he “did too much” when she came back into the room. By comparison, XXXTENTACION’s son skipped on the opportunity to say any bad words at all.

Now, NLE Choppa is the newest rapper to do the challenge. He set it up with his daughter and she did take the chance to say a bad word, but she did it in perhaps the most charming and polite way possible. Fans in the comments couldn’t help but note just how adorable Choppa’s daughter is in the video. “She’s so polite” and “I done 🤣🤣🤣 awwwww she said it so politely” two of the top comments on the post note. Check out the adorable new video and the fan reactions to it below.

NLE Choppa’s One Bad Word Challenge

Last month, NLE Choppa threw his weight behind a strange rap beef. Yasiin Bey appeared on a podcast and described Drake’s music as being closer to pop than rap because you hear it played in stores while shopping. Choppa came to Drake’s defense in the beef and stood up for his rap cred.

Earlier this year, Choppa teamed up with DJ BOOKER for a new collaborative project. The Chosen Ones is just seven tracks long but spawned a few hit songs with tracks like “MEM” and “Purge On Em.” It’s following up his new album Cottonwood 2 which dropped last year. What do you think of NLE Choppa’s daughter doing the one bad word challenge? Which rapper’s version of the video do you think has been the funniest so far? Let us know in the comment section below.

Drake Shows Collaborator Nickelus F Love After Interview Praise

Drake is one of the most popular artists in the world by nearly every metric. While there’s nobody in the rap game that can touch him right now in terms of sales, he has had his cred called into question more than once. Most notably, last month Yasiin Bey was asked about his music in an interview. he described the “First Person Shooter” rapper’s sound as being more pop than rap because it’s the kind of thing you’d hear while shopping. That sparked a few responses from Drake and his fans and ultimately resulted in an apology from Bey.

During a recent interview, one of his oldest collaborators was asked about the now massive rapper. Nickelus F worked with Drizzy on mixtapes before he was ever famous and was asked about the rapper’s pen game. He answers claiming that the writing is still “sharp.” Clearly Drake appreciated the compliment and still has a fondness for the work he made with Nickelus because he left a comment on the post. “Forever one of my idols” his comment reads to the tune of more than 500 likes since it was first posted yesterday. Check out the interview and response comment on Instagram below.

Drake Shouting Out An Early Collaborator On Instagram

Fans are still streaming For All The Dogs and it’s companion EP Scary Hours 3 quite a bit. Numerous songs from the projects are still hovering on the Hot 100. Drake just released the music video for his Sexyy Red and SZA collab “Rich Baby Daddy.” The music video played off of Red’s real life pregnancy. It used a found footage style where the collaborators posed as a family and reacted in real time to Red’s water breaking. The video ends with a hilarious sequence of Red and SZA dancing with her newborn baby. The video has racked up more than 7.5 million views since it dropped last week.

What do you think of Drake’s response to one of his earliest collaborators praising his pen game in a recent interview? Let us know in the comment section below.

Corey Holcomb & Donnell Rawlings Yelling Match Ensues As Former Disses Dave Chappelle

Patrons at The Laugh Factory this past Sunday (February 18) were expecting a great comedy show, but they weren’t prepared for the drama between two performers at the venue to explode. After Donnell Rawlings finished his set, 55-year-old Corey Holcomb had some jokes to get off, though he notably used his time behind the mic to diss both Rawlings and his friend Dave Chappelle. In a video obtained by TMZ, Holcomb’s audience didn’t seem receptive to him cracking jokes at other Black men’s expense, specifically failing to laugh when he called Chappelle and Rawlings “mild.”

The father of three admitted he might be in the wrong for his comments, but that didn’t stop him from continuing on with his set. What did bring things to a halt was Rawlings’ reaction to the hatred, causing him to stand up out of his seat and curse Holcomb out. “I catch you up in all these rooms in f**king Brooklyn and you ain’t ever f**ked with [unintelligible]… You wanna talk about it? You saying I’m mild, you saying I ain’t come through the streets or the gutters is straight bulls**t.”

Donnell Rawlings Defends Dave Chappelle from Corey Holcomb

Another comment that upset Rawlings is Holcomb’s claim that any comedian who has appeared in three or more movies “has had to perform fellatio on someone” in the entertainment industry. The Wire actor takes this personally, as he has several film credits on his resume, but has never engaged in any sort of sexual favours for them to come to fruition.

It seems that part of what brought Dave Chappelle and Donell Rawlings together as friends may have been their shared need to speak up for what they feel is right. Before the latter defended the former from Corey Holcomb, Chappelle called out Katt Williams for berating several Black comics in his viral Club Shay Shay interview. Read what the Half Baked actor had to say at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Drake Shows Off His Carlton Dance On Stage During Recent Show

Drake’s “It’s All A Blur” tour has been churning away since last year. The tour began with 21 Savage and Sexyy Red on board before transitioning to a second leg earlier this year. The new shows include J. Cole and Lil Durk and have continued to make near nightly news. During a show in Pittsburgh last week, Drizzy unpacked some new dance moves that went viral and had fans cracking jokes, even as he seems to be in on it.

In a new TikTok making the rounds a fan captured Drake doing an instantly recognizable dance move. In the middle of one of his songs he unpacks The Carlton. The dance was made famous by Carlton Banks on The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air and has impressively lasted decades. That longevity certainly isn’t because the dance is necessarily cool. In fact, almost anybody doing it is seemingly well aware of just how silly it can look and the “Rich Baby Daddy” rapper is leaning into that silliness. Check out the video of him doing the dance below.

Drake Shows Off His Dance Moves In New Video

Earlier this month, Drake released the music video for his Sexyy Red and SZA collaboration “Rich Baby Daddy.” The video continued the creative and outside-the-box approach to visuals he’s taken for the entire For All The Dogs era. It comedically played on Sexyy Red’s real life pregnancy with a home movie style video documenting her being rushed to give birth. The video hilarious concludes with Red and SZA dancing alongside the rapper’s new born baby.

One of the fan-favorite cuts from For All The Dogs was “IDGAF” which featured Yeat. Subsequently, Drake repaid the favor recently by appearing on the song “As We Speak” from Yeat’s new album 2093. It was released on a deluxe edition of the album that followed just a day after the original dropped. What do you think of Drake doing The Carleton dance during a recent concert? Do you think the famously goofy dance makes sense for him? Let us know in the comment section below.

Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday 2” Tour May Add Katt Williams To Its Lineup

After a chaotic 2023, many were hoping that 2024 would begin on a calm, cool, and collected note. However, the energy has been anything but that since January, especially in the world of celebrity antics. Things kicked off with Katt Williams’ appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, where he addressed issues he’s seeing unfold far beyond the world of comedy as only he can. The entertainer’s candid interview quickly blew up online, making him one of the industry’s most sought-after comedians at this time. Williams is currently touring his act across the country and even brought Mo’Nique out to help him for recent performances. As it turns out, Nicki Minaj is also burning to work with the 52-year-old.

Earlier this week, the Queen of Rap went Live on Instagram to put out a request for the booked and busy comedian. “I know that this is the busiest man in show business, ok?” Minaj assured her viewers. “I know that he’s rich, and I know that he’s the funniest man in showbiz. Can y’all hit up Katt Williams and ask him what would be his price… To be a part of the Pink Friday 2 Gag City Tour?”

According to Vibe, the mother of one’s rep, she’s serious about working with Williams and is willing to pay him what he’s worth. We’ve already seen the choreography that Minaj’s team has been perfecting for weeks now, though we’re curious to see how a comedy act will fit into her performance plans.

As Nicki Minaj waits to find out if Katt Williams is down to join her in Gag City this spring, her other accompanying acts are busy preparing their parts of the show too. Among them is 43-year-old Monica, who’s currently facing accusations of getting a BBL but not telling her fans after a recent performance in Atlanta.
