Travis Scott’s Third Week & Trippie Redd’s First Week Sales Projections Revealed

Travis Scott recently released his new album Utopia a few weeks ago. Overall, this is an album that has proven to be polarizing. Although many people love it for its production, some feel like the lyrics are lacking. That said, the project is selling very well. It did 496K sales in its very first week thanks to bundles. Moreover, the second week was also very solid, clocking in as a number-one album. Now, the project is in its third week on the charts, and fans are looking forward to what the numbers will look like.

Additionally, some people have been curious about the upcoming battle with Trippie Redd. Trippie just released A Love Letter To You 5 which was highly-anticipated. This is the album’s first week on the charts, and there has been some anticipation that the project will chart well. As it turns out, this might not actually be the case. Last night, DJ Akademiks reported on the projections surrounding both Utopia and A Love Letter To You 5. As you will see, Travis Scott is winning by a wide margin.

In its third week, Travis Scott is going to sell around 135K units. This will likely keep it at number one, which is truly impressive. Furthermore, Trippie Redd is only going to sell 32K units. Overall, this is a huge disappointment as Trippie is used to selling a lot more than this. Either way, it is clear that Utopia is king for now. Although, that could very well change with the release of Quavo’s “Rocket Power.” Drake is also going to be dropping soon, which will change things.

Let us know what you think of these projections, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the music world. We will continue to bring you the biggest releases from the biggest artists.

Travis Scott Hits Huge Milestone With “Utopia”

Travis Scott impressed fans a couple of weeks ago when he dropped off his brand-new album, Utopia. Overall, this album was a huge triumph for Scott given all of the features. Moreover, it is an album that his core fanbase is appreciating quite a bit right now. Although the reviews have been fairly mixed, there is no doubt that commercial success is making up for it. For instance, in the first week, Scott was able to sell a total of 496K records. This was a massive accomplishment, even if bundles were involved.

Subsequently, many fans were interested in whether or not he would be able to carry this success into the second week. There hasn’t been a single hip-hop album to stay at number one for consecutive weeks in 2023. However, it looks like Travis Scott has gotten over the hump. According to AllHipHop, Scott sold 147,000 units in the album’s second week. This was good enough for first place as he exceeded Morgan Wallen by 50K units. Now, hip-hop finally has a multiweek number one in 2023.

If there was any artist who could have pulled this off, it most certainly would have been Travis. However, Drake is set to drop a new album as well, and he will likely go number one as well. Moving forward, it should be interesting to see how Travis does in his third week. Quavo is dropping an album this Friday and that will certainly be looking to compete for the top spot. However, Scott and Wallen appear to be immovable forces right now.

Travis Scott Sends Thankful Message To Fans For Inspiring Him Amid “UTOPIA” Hype

UTOPIA season is still underway, and it seems like Travis Scott is feeling grateful, inspired, and jubilant every step of the way. Moreover, a lot of his die-hards absolutely loved the new album, and while there are some detractors, its massive commercial success is certainly a strong indicator of that. Of course, that goes to show how important fans and listeners are to an artist’s success and ability to move forward in their careers. As someone who has always shown love to them, the Houston native knows this well. Especially considering the hype around UTOPIA, he recently took to Twitter with a special message for his supporters.

“One time for the fans,” Travis Scott wrote on the social media platform. “F**k that, yall family just overly thankful for yalll. Y’all keep me inspired. I forever just wanna create and do things to maximize life experiences and hopefully ur able to find inspiration and joy in it. That can help u one day build ur own saga.” In addition, it’s important to consider that La Flame has a lot to thank his fans’ loyalty for.

Travis Scott Thanks His Fans

Sure, there’s the obvious reasons: streams, sales, support, fame, and everything that comes with being one of the biggest rappers in the world. But his fanbase in particular also has to reckon with the deaths of those among them at the Astroworld Festival in 2021, a tragedy that may forever taint Travis Scott’s career. While he somewhat addressed it on UTOPIA, his lack of accountability and deep reflection or remorse rubbed many the wrong way. As such, to still have a massive following after this is worth much more than any of us can imagine.

Whether he deserves that following after Astroworld is another question, and a far too complicated one to definitively answer. Some completely disregard his responsibility and follow blindly, whereas others’ love for him fuels their frustration, disappointment, or their hope and well-wishes for him to repent for it and rise above it. Regardless, the 32-year-old knows how important his fans are right now, and we just hope he keeps that in mind in many more live settings, media appearances, and the rest of his career. Travis Scott Promises Fans He Will Make More Beats This Year

Travis Scott just dropped his highly anticipated new album UTOPIA. The project immediately made waves with both fans and critics. UTOPIA had the biggest first-week sales for any rap album released this year at nearly 500k. That impressive total marked the third biggest debut for any album this year behind new projects from Morgan Wallen and Taylor Swift. Its feature packed tracklist seemed to include almost everyone fans could hope for and more. Drake, Beyonce, SZA, Young Thug, Future, Playboi Carti, and many more artists appear in the tracklist.

Now Travis could have some more collaborations coming soon. While he often produces or co-produces many of his own instrumentals, many forget just how good he can be at beat-making. In a new tweet, the rapper appears to want to get back in the studio soon. “Making more f*cking beats this year. Sh*t is tooo fun,” he promises fans. While that doesn’t necessarily indicate that any new material is coming soon, fans were nonetheless excited about the idea of Scott producing again. The quickly rushed to the comments to suggest which rappers he should produce for. Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, and even Kanye West are among the artists suggested.

Travis Scott Could Be Back In Producer Mode

Earlier this week Travis Scott hosted a massive UTOPIA concert in Rome. It was originally supposed to take place in Egypt shortly after the release of the album but the show was delayed due to production issues. After it was ultimately rescheduled to Rome over 60,000 fans piled in for the concert.

Unfortunately, the show didn’t go off completely without a hitch. Someone reportedly sprayed a bunch of fans with pepper spray during the show. It resulted with over 60 fans getting treated for various injuries that resulted. The fans during the show reportedly caused a small earthquake. Fans who want to be a part of similar experiences will get the chance to see Scott on the “Circus Maximus” tour later this year. What do you think of Travis Scott wanting to get back to producing? Let us know in the comment section below.

60 Fans Reportedly Injured Following Travis Scott’s Rome Performance

Travis Scott brought his new album, UTOPIA, to Rome earlier this week. After being originally scheduled to perform at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt near the time of the LP’s release, the date was ultimately canceled. He assured fans the Pyramids show will happen eventually. In the mean time, however, he announced a show at Rome’s Circus Maximus for this Monday (August 7). As expected, the performance brought in a massive crowd of somewhere around 60K fans. 60 of those fans, however, were reportedly injured and in need of medical treatment after the show.

Obviously, Travis is under a microscope following the 2021 Astroworld tragedy, which sadly cost 10 attendees their lives. Luckily, nobody at the Rome performance was gravely injured as far as we know. Euronews reports that one 14-year-old tried to bypass security and sneak in to the show, leading him to fall four-metres from an unnamed structure. Apparently, another person in the crowd was also pepper sprayed, and the incident of course led to chaos in the surrounding area.

It’s unclear exactly what type of injuries were reported, or how severe they were. The day after the performance, Travis Scott reacted to some footage of him performing on social media. He claimed it made him do “60 back flips.” It’s clear that both he and the audience were feeling it, after eagerly awaiting UTOPIA for so long.

The performance also featured a surprise-appearance from Kanye West, who took the stage to perform a couple of songs. He performed “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” and then they both performed their collab together, “Praise God.” “There is no UTOPIA without Kanye West,” Travis told the crowd. “There is no Travis Scott without Kanye West, there is no Rome without Kanye West.” On stage, he also reportedly dubbed Ye the “greatest of all time.”

Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus Concert Injured Dozens Of Attendees

If there’s one thing you can always expect Travis Scott to inspire in people, it’s the rage. The father of two has a natural enthusiasm for life that’s undeniably contagious. Still, some would argue that he’s taken things too far a number of times over the years. His 2021 Astroworld Festival resulted in a ton of backlash for Scott after multiple people lost their lives during a tragic crowd crush. The “goosebumps” hitmaker stepped out of the spotlight for a brief period at that time. He’s since headlined festivals and, earlier this week, performed for 60,000 in Rome.

Scott was initially due to perform in Egypt at the Pyramids of Giza when UTOPIA first dropped, but that show was ultimately cancelled. Regardless, the Houston native brought an exuberant amount of energy to the historic Circus Maximus on Monday (August 7). Scott also surprised fans with an appearance from Kanye West, who hasn’t taken the stage since his controversial anti-Semitic rants. This obviously had the audience acting out in an even rowdier manner, and reportedly even led to a pepper spray incident.

As per Euro News, dozens were injured by the attack, and at least 60 sought medical treatment. Elsewhere at the show, a 14-year-old was hospitalized after falling four metres. He was apparently trying to sneak into Circus Maximus without security noticing, but ultimately hurt himself in the process. Earlier this summer one of Scott’s performances resulted in an earthquake, and this week’s was no different. Residents of Rome felt the Cactus Jack founder’s presence all throughout the city, and not all of them were pleased.

As La Flame’s listeners continue to revel in his long-awaited UTOPIA LP and Circus Maximus film, the multi-talent has been sharing more secrets about the making of his album. While he worked with an impressive roster of collaborators, including SZA, The Weeknd, and Beyonce, it turns out J. Cole nearly appeared on the record as well. Tickets For Travis Scott’s ‘Utopia – Circus Maximus Tour’ Will Reportedly No Longer Go On Sale This Week

On July 28, Travis Scott finally delivered Utopia, and the reward was a No. 1 debut on this week’s Billboard 200 albums chart.

“I can’t help but wonder if, should we wait another decade, we’ll finally start to see the true influence of Utopia — even if the world itself seems further away from the concept than ever,” Uproxx‘s Aaron Williams wrote in his album review.

Scott will be able to gauge the album’s influence during his newly announced Utopia – Circus Maximus Tour, beginning at Chicago’s United Center on September 25 and winding through North America before a grand finale in Miami, Florida on November 27. But it seems that fans will have to wait to make plans to attend.

Hours after the tour announcement, The Detroit News reported that tickets will no longer go on sale this Friday, August 11, at 10 a.m. local time as planned.

“The tour has now shifted their timeline and tickets will NOT go on sale this week,” an unnamed venue represented confirmed to The Detroit News via email. “More information to come once we have new details.”

Scott billed a show in Rome, Italy on Monday (August 7) as the “first stop” of his Circus Maximus run, and it included a surprise cameo from Kanye West to perform “Praise God.”

Scott’s headlining North American Utopia – Circus Maximus Tour will be his first tour since the 2021 Astroworld tragedy, which resulted in 10 deaths and countless more injuries due to a crowd surge. In late June, Scott was cleared of any criminal charges.

Travis Scott’s “UTOPIA” Breaks Vinyl Sales Records

Fans have come up with very different adjectives to describe Travis Scott’s new album UTOPIA. But one thing that is undeniable about the project so that it’s been successful. Earlier this week we learned that it debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart. It’s only the second rap album of 2023 to hit the top spot following Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape last month. But it didn’t just hit number one, it crushed everything else released this week to grab the top spot easily. UTOPIA sold almost 500k total copies in its first week alone making it the third biggest first-week sales of 2023 behind Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen.

The impact of UTOPIA‘s success went beyond just its total sales numbers. He also broke records for having the most vinyl sales for a rap album in a single week since 1991 when the stat began tracking. With 55k of his nearly 500k sales coming from vinyl, he was able to grab yet another chart record with his smash-hit new album. Fans in the comments of a post about his accomplishment continued their amazement at Scott’s numbers. “bro sold more then half rhe rappers released this year,” read the top comment.

Travis Scott Sells 55k Vinyls

Earlier today Travis Scott announced that he’ll be taking his smash hit record on tour later this year. The “CIRCUM MAXIMUS Tour” will run from September until November hitting 24 cities along the way. Details beyond the dates of each of the shows are currently pretty sparse but pre-sale for the shows begins tomorrow.

Travis Scott hasn’t been on tour since the 2021 Astroworld disaster where numerous fans lost their lives during the rapper’s Houston music festival. His last tour came back in 2019 when he hit the road with Gunna, Trippie Redd, and Sheck Wes following the release of his album Astroworld. What do you think of Travis Scott breaking the record for vinyl sales in a single week by a rap album? Let us know in the comment section below.

Travis Scott Reveals J. Cole Was Almost Featured On “UTOPIA”

Travis Scott’s new album UTOPIA has already become the biggest hip-hop event of 2023. Though the project has divided some fans and critics in terms of its quality it has already become the most successful rap album of the year by far. Earlier this week it debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. But the album didn’t JUST debut at number one, it debuted with an astounding first-week sales count of nearly 500k units. That was the third biggest first-week sales of 2023 so far behind only two of music’s other biggest superstars Morgan Wallen and Taylor Swift.

Travis Scott was supposed to perform many of the songs from the record live for the first time from Egypt. After the show had to be canceled for logistical reasons it was moved to Rome. The concert took place yesterday in front of tens of thousands of fans. Discussions about Scott’s collaborators were ongoing as Kanye West was spotted before the show and even ended up joining Travis on stage. UTOPIA features an absolutely amazing collection of talent. Beyonce, SZA, Bad Bunny, The Weeknd, Young Thug, Future, Playboi Carti, Drake, and MANY more appear in the stacked tracklist. During the show Travis let fans know about another collaborator who almost joined in.

Travis Scott Cut J. Cole Feature At The Last Minute

Travis Scott originally released “MAFIA” as a two-part single in 2021. The songs were dropped just before the tragic events at the rapper’s Astroworld festival took place. Scott revealed to fans that the J. Cole-assisted track was originally meant to land on UTOPIA but was cut and replaced with “I KNOW ?” at the last minute.

Travis Scott’s entire UTOPIA concert from Rome is now available to watch online. While fans in attendance seemed ecstatic, those watching at home have had mixed reviews. Critiques of the performance included just how much time Travis spent talking and his DJ skipping out on certain songs early. What do you think of J. Cole being left off of UTOPIA at the last minute? Let us know in the comment section below.
