“Saint Michael V2”: Trippie Redd Delivers 10 New Songs On Full-Length Project

After a quiet 2022, Trippie Redd fans have been eating good all 2023. The Ohio-born artist began the year with a bang, dropping MANSION MUSIK in January, and after letting that settle for a bit, he closed out the summer with A Love Letter To You 5. Little did we know that Trippie was on his way to becoming a father at this time, and after unleashing his Saint Michael EP with the world a few weeks back, he shared the first photo of his little one with the world. That seven-track effort saw just one feature, from BANKS on “Saint Michael Myers,” and quickly brought the genre-bending artist tons of praise.

When he confirmed that 10 new songs would be coming on Saint Michael V2 this New Music Friday (November 24), hip-hop heads were eager to hear what else Redd has been cooking up. The LP opens with “#RBDG” before 9lives joins the lyricist for “Popular.” Later on in the tracklist we hear from YTB Fatt and K Suave on “Snail Shells” and “TrippieSuave” respectively.

Despite all the success Redd is celebrating in his personal and professional lives at this time, he’s not totally clear of haters. Meek Mill posted then deleted a scathing rant aimed at Trippie earlier this week, and we’re curious to see if any more drama will transpire between them now that the “Love Scars” artist has more free time to put his Twitter fingers to use.

Meek Mill Blasts Trippie Redd: ‘This Guy No Good!’

Meek Mill Confirms That He Privately Apologized to Vanessa Bryant

Meek Mill has some words for Trippie Redd. Hitting Instagram, Meek wrote “This guy no good!!!”

In a message on Instagram, Meek wrote: “If you fuck with me fuck this guy right here…. I wanna stand on niggas freely saying my name make it tight outside!”

Meek would go on to state that Trippie is no longer welcome in Philadelphia and also added “I seen you get pulled in a room by gangstas in LA you was scared but let’s see how tough yall guys are.”

And another message read, “He may worship the devil so all my god bodies watch this p**** I can’t wait to see him.”

There is currently no direct source of what set Meek off. You can see his messages below.

Why Are Meek Mill & Trippie Redd Beefing?

If you asked me to name two rappers who were very likely to beef, Meek Mill and Trippie Redd would be very low on the list. They just run in such disparate circles — only ever crossing over occasionally — that before today, I’d have been willing to bet that Meek didn’t even know who Trippie is, let alone have beef with him.

And yet… here we are.

Apparently, Trippie did something very irksome to Meek — which hasn’t proven to be extremely difficult in recent years — resulting in the Philly rapper going all the way off the handle on Trippie via Instagram. In a series of since-deleted posts, Meek threatened the Ohio rapper, demeaned his street credibility, and told him he “look like you repping the devil” (which is in my top-ten rap fan tropes that need to die by New Year’s Eve).

Rap fans on the whole seem pretty confused by the whole thing, wondering what exactly sparked the tirade from Meek, to which Trippie has yet to respond. Was Meek’s (often hilarious) account hacked? Did Trippie say something about him behind-the-scenes? Are they hyping up some sort of collaboration (unlikely, but entirely possible this week)? No one seems to know, but if things continue or escalate, we may have a chance to learn more.

Trippie Redd Revealed He Postponed His Tour Because Due to the Birth of His Child

Trippie Redd Reveals His Music Was Hacked & Held For Ransom For $1 Million

Trippie Redd is postponing his 2023 Take Me Away tour because he recently became a father. The tour was set to kick off this past August and wrap in October before it was nixed, but fans did not know why. Trippie Redd revealed the reason: he was becoming a father.

Hitting social media, Trippie Redd revealed: “You want an explanation, so boom, I’m dropping a project named Saint Michael, right? What if I was to tell you that’s my son’s name and I canceled tour because I had to deliver my son?”

Saint Michael dropped this past Friday and packs seven songs into the release. You can hear it below.

Trippie Redd Gave Fans A Wild (But Reasonable) Explanation For Canceling His Tour

Trippie Redd recently canceled his Take Me Away Tour, much to the disappointment of the fans who had tickets. However, in a new video on social media, the rapper revealed the explanation about why he did — and he has a very valid reason: he had a kid.

“You guys have been talking about tour and why I canceled it, you want an explanation so boom,” Trippie Redd said, as he filmed himself smoking. “I’m dropping a project named Saint Michael, right? What if I was to tell you that’s my son’s name and I canceled tour because I had to deliver my son.”

“Life be life-ing,” he added. “Y’all sitting there bashing me, saying all this crazy stuff and here I’m just bringing my child into the world, you know?”

The timing also lines up perfectly, as Trippie recently dropped his new EP on Friday, November 10. He confirmed that his son’s full name is Saint Michael White, as he also shared a picture of him in an Instagram story. The baby is seen in a cozy green matching outfit, complete with a hat, as he has a tiny binky.

Check out Trippie Redd’s video where he revealed he’s a new father, and the first photo of his son, below.

Trippie Reveals All We Need To Know About New EP, “Saint Michael”

Trippie Redd has developed quite the following over his fairly long career. He won over many with his blends of trap and emo rap. This led him to tons of commercial and some critical acclaim. His A Love Letter To You series is is halo series of albums that have provided us with plenty of classic tracks over time. Unfortunately, Trippie decided to close the book on it just a few months ago with the fifth installment. He confirmed this in a message to his fans.

A Love Letter To You 5 is gonna be, if not the best body of music I’ve ever did, one of them. For sure. This is the last one.” He continued, “This the last A Love Letter to You so… I done put my all into it. I’ve been working on this for like, three to four years. Dropping projects, but still having music tucked to the side for this project.” While this was heartbreaking news, this certainly did not mean the end of the road for Trippie by any means.

In fact, he is about to be dropping, presumably, one more project before the end of the year. It is not a surprise comeback of the series, but rather an all-new EP. It is going to be seven tracks and is coming on Friday, November 10. On Genius, there are no features listed. Trippie made this announcement a short time ago on his IG. “SAINT MICHAEL THE SUPRISE ALBUM FRIDAY 💗 7 songs now 7 songs later … 14 comment 🌙🌙🌙 below ✨ I’d like to thank you all for supporting me let’s take a moment to space our minds and rage through depression to rid the negativity 🌸

Trippie Redd Remixes Kanii’s New Single, “sins (let me in)”

Trippie Redd is certainly one of the most versatile and idiosyncratic artists from the SoundCloud rap era, and it’s a skill that he keeps showing off. Following his recent EKKSTACY collab “Problems,” this new track featuring him is an even more creative, genre-fusing, and fresh-sounding offering: his remix of “sins (let me in)” by Kanii. While he’s a relatively unknown artist in the mainstream, don’t let that fool you; he hit upon a very interesting blend of slowed-down Jersey club, electronic ambiance, melodic R&B-style performances, and an overall woozy atmosphere. As such, this is an environment in which the Ohio artist feels right at home, and could’ve landed on his recently released A Love Letter To You 5.

In fact, it’s hard to think of someone who would’ve fit this song’s particular vibe more than Trippie Redd. After all, his strained but ear-grabbing cadence makes dreamy or psychedelic soundscapes reveal their true nature, as he fits them almost perfectly every time. However, from a lyrical and structural standpoint, “sins (let me in)” is nothing too remarkable, at least when compared to the innovation on display in the production. It’s a lustful song about longing and about finally giving into these desires, despite the consequences they may hold. As such, these two artist clearly focus more on crafting a mood and an emotion more than a narrative, and either approach has something unique that the other can’t replicate.

Kanii’s “sins (let me in)” Remix By Trippie Redd: Stream

As such, Kanii and Trippie Redd figured out that there’s more than one way to strike gold, and their adherence to their strengths ended up paying off. For someone who wants less division in the game, these genre blends are par the course for the “Taking A Walk” hitmaker, and we can’t wait to see where Kanii goes from here. If you haven’t heard “sins (let me in)” yet, find it on your preferred streaming service, and if or once you have, let us know what you think about it down there in the comments section. EKKSTACY And Trippie Redd Fight Right At Home Together Talking About Their “Problems”

At HNHH we are always excited when we get the opportunity to cover a brand new artist. Today is one of those days, as we get to finally introduce a soon-to-be mainstay on the site, EKKSTACY. The reason we are talking about him is because he has just put out a brand new single, “problems.” It features heavyweight emo rapper and singer, Trippie Redd. Additionally, from what we know, EKKSTACY has not been featured on other rappers’ songs or albums, so this is a first for him.

The track is just over two minutes long and features a simple song structure formula. A chorus and two verses, one from each artist. This is EKKSTACY’s first new piece of music in over a year. It comes after his album from last year, misery, a ten-track listen featuring one of his bigger songs, “im so happy.” He also has his debut project, NEGATIVE, which came out in 2021. This effort got fans to take notice of the Canadian post-punk and indie rock singer.

Listen To “Problems” From EKKSTACY And Trippie Redd

EKKSTACY has not been making music for that long, only starting to release songs on streaming back during the pandemic. Born in 2002, the young multi-talent still has plenty of time and room for growth, which is very exciting. Nabbing a feature from a big-time rapper who has familiarity with these genres is going to bring even more attention to him. EKKSTACY’s raw and desolate sounds are ones that are very popular and should resonate with fans. Give his new track a listen above!

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new single, “problems,” from EKKSTACY and Trippie Redd? Will hearing this song make you check out more music from EKKSTACY? If you have listened to him before, which songs are his best? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. Ekkstacy And Trippie Redd Realize The Downside Of Fame On The Emotional New ‘Problems’ Collaboration

Ekkstacy returned today to share his new song, “Problems,” which features Trippie Redd. Opening with an inviting guitar line, the two have chill and emotional vocals that perfectly complement each other. Despite the somber nature, they had a really great time making the track.

“This song was fun to make,” Ekkstacy shared in a statement about the collab. “It happened between like 3 and 6 [a.m.] in Miami right before I had to head to the airport. Trippie and I wrote and recorded the lyrics over the music that my main collaborator Mangetsu made back in Germany.”

“We both came up listening to Trip, so I’m happy we both get to say we have a song with him now,” he added about his team’s shared love for the rapper.

The release also came complete with a video directed by Gilbert Trejo, where he stated that they wanted to “play with the idea of success and happiness.”

The result finds Ekkstacy and Trippie Redd surrounded by people having fun at a mansion, but they’re having a rough time and are visually out of place. They might have reached a peak when it comes to wealth, women, and fancy cars, but are still missing a piece that might make them happy.

Trippie Redd Roasted After Old Clip Of Him Mocking Rappers’ Low Album Sales Resurfaces

An old video of Trippie Redd has resurfaced online, in which he mocks other rappers for low album sales. Little did he know he would join them. The clip specifically targets artists who debuted with 30,000 album sales or less. “C list rappers, n*gga we bout to create an avengers of trash n*ggas,” he said. “If we all put our 30,000 first week together, n*gga we gone make a million.”

Trippie’s latest album, A Love Letter To You 5, first-week sales were less than stellar. Similarly to those he once laughed at, the rapper’s project sold only around 30,000 copies in its first week. After a series of pushbacks, the mixtape was finally released last week. It served as the fifth and final installment of his A Love Letter to You series. It featured guest appearances by Lil Wayne, Roddy Ricch, Bryson Tiller, and more.

New Trippie Redd Mixtape Only Sold 30k In Its First Week

Earlier this year, the rapper dropped off his fifth studio album, Mansion Musik. The project didn’t achieve massive commercial success and received mixed reviews from fans. It debuted on the Billboard 200 at No.3, selling 56,000 album-equivalent units. Chief KeefFutureLil Baby, and the late Juice Wrld were among those featured.

It’s not just his music career that Trippie Redd is struggling with, it’s his love life as well. Recently, he shared an emotional apology to Skye Morales on Instagram for cheating on her. The two had been together since 2021, although they’ve seemed to call it quits amid Redd’s infidelity.“Just wanted to publicly apologize to Skye do not be mad at her I cheated she not have had the best attitude with me, but she was the most loyal partner I ever had and I lost her,” Trippie Redd wrote, as noted by The Shade Room. “I just want u guys to be better than me. So if u find someone that makes u feel special think before u do [when] [you’re] mad I will never forgive myself for this s**t ever.” Stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the music world.
