Sexyy Red Continues Her Dominant Run With “In Sexyy We Trust”

Just about a week ago, one of hip-hop’s leading ladies, Sexyy Red, announced her new tape In Sexyy We Trust. She revealed this information over social media and that it would arrive on Memorial Day weekend. This project, like Hood Hottest Princess, sees the St. Louis rapper try to improve on her ratchet trap sound which continues to grow in popularity. For the most part, she does while bringing some of her most memorable performances to date.

The mixtape begins with a hilarious rendition of the intro to “Love Sosa,” only this time it is some random British dude. Following that, she expertly follows up on that opening message by kicking the door down on “She’s Back.” Of course, the major talking point of In Sexyy We Trust is “U My Everything” featuring Drake. However, there is lot more to this 14-track offering than just that. For starters, you have the mixtape’s lead single “Get It Sexyy,” which fits perfectly into the tracklist and still hits hard.

“Outside,” produced by Mike WiLL Made-It, may leave your jaw on the floor with how ridiculous the pre-chorus is. You will just have to listen to that for yourself to truly understand its absurdity. On top that, you also have features from Lil Baby and VonOff1700. Overall, Sexyy is definitely the standout across the project, not letting guests or most beats outshine her. Be sure to check out the tape with the links above.

What are your thoughts on In Sexyy We Trust by Sexyy Red? Which songs are you gravitating toward the most right now? Who had the strongest feature on the tape? Is this better than Hood Hottest Princess, why or why not? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Juicy J Comes Out Of Nowhere To Drop Off New LP “Mental Trillness 2”

When you think of Memphis, Tennessee hip-hop legends, Juicy J is almost always going to be one of the first names to come to mind. It makes sense because there may not be a more influential voice in that corner of rap than him. He may not be at the peak of his powers to some, but you can always rely on him to deliver some rock-solid tracks, even in the “twilight” of his career. In fact, Juicy J is doing just that on this latest record, Mental Trillness 2.

This is a follow-up to the original title, which hit streaming platforms back at the end of March in 2023. It is also the first project for Juicy J since then. The “Bandz A Make Her Dance” MC tapped a few features for Mental Trillness 2. Those names include the equally energetic Sukihana, as well as Xavier Wulf, idontknowjeffery, and Project Pat.

Across this tape, Juicy J brings his trademark style, which is one of street grit, braggadocio, and raunchiness. One of the best moments in our opinion is the opening cut “Serenity.” Juicy usually does not rap over calming instrumentals, but this angelic track is definitely a highlight. Overall, this is a solid outing from the veteran, and we can now check off one out seven albums to drop in 2024.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new album Mental Trillness 2 by Juicy J? Which songs are you gravitating toward the most right now? Who had the strongest feature on the tape? Is this one of his best projects of his career, why or why not? Do you prefer the sequel over the original? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Juicy J. KILLY Rocks A Unique Delivery Over A Wintery Beat On “FR33ZING”

KILLY, Canadian/Filipino rapper, has been an active voice in 2024. The soon-to-be 27-year-old has dropped multiple singles and two-packs over these first five and half months. He began the year with POP 2, a twofer of tracks with Fourfive and Dom Corleo back in February. Then, in early March, he flew solo on ALL CAPS, which featured the self-titled cut and “GLEE.” Finally, at the end of that same month, he linked up with Bedoes 2115, mlody klakson, kittiesloverage, 2115, and francis for “EMBASSY / AMBASADA.”

Now, KILLY is back with a new solo effort that sticks to his dark trap rap roots called “FR33ZING.” Out of all of his drops this year, this is arguably his most intriguing and best. He has a pretty distinctive auto-tuned voice to begin with, but he experiments a little more this time around. KILLY goes into a deeper register to fit the frigid beat he is spitting over.

He was clearly locked in for this studio session, as his energy level and animated adlibs are proof of that. The “Killamonjaro” MC does a great job of bringing a cadence that matches the wintery vibe. The instrumental is also a nice change of pace, with its cold chimes and bells and rounded bass. We recommend “FR33ZING” over anything we have heard him put forth in 2024.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “FR33ZING” by KILLY? Do you think this is one of his stronger tracks as of late, why or why not? Should he come through with a new album soon after dropping this? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Mixes Old With New On “Better Off Alone”

One thing that A Boogie Wit da Hoodie has always excelled at being able to swerve in out of rapping and singing. On every project, he has given you a mixture of these talents in some capacity. Now, A Boogie is continuing that trend with his latest LP, Better Off Alone. This fifth studio album has been in the works for nearly a year, and believe it or not, it actually started with the B4 BOA (Before Better Off Alone) EP.

The trio of “Her Birthday,” “Booby Trap,” and “Did Me Wrong,” turned out to be first of the promotional singles. We then would receive another five offerings with the lone track “Steppas,” and the sampler ALONE. So, instead of getting at least 80% new music, that figure dropped to 62%, with nearly half of the 21 tracks being older releases. That is a big reason why most of this listening experience feels like old meshing with new.

Listen To Better Off Alone By A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie

So, going into this album, know that almost half is being marketed as new material. On the bright side of the new with old aspect, Better Off Alone mixes fresh beats with some throwback samples. Two of the prime examples that we caught were on “Dark King” and “One Shot.” The former seems to slow down A Boogie’s 2017 hit with PnB Rock and NBA YoungBoy, “Beast Mode.” On the latter, the New York native loosely samples Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” at the start of the track. As for the album at large though, it is solid, but with 21 tracks it feels a little bloated.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new album Better Off Alone by A Boogie Wit da Hoodie? What tracks have you been gravitating toward so far? Where do you rank this project amongst the rest of his discography and why? Who had the strongest guest appearance on the record? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Better Off Alone Tracklist:

  1. Better Off Alone
  2. Dark King
  3. Let’s Go Away (feat. Young Thug)
  4. Body (feat. Cash Cobain)
  5. Somebody (feat. Future)
  6. Steppas
  7. Headaches
  8. Spotlight (feat. Lil Durk)
  9. Need You Around (feat. Fridayy)
  10. One Shot
  11. They Shooting
  12. Feel Like Dying
  13. P&E (feat. Mariah The Scientist)
  14. Tiffanys

Noodah05 Is Popping Out For “5 MIN OF FAME” On His New LP

With the burgeoning Atlanta rap scene, it is extremely tough for artists to pop off and grow a comitted fanbase. Perhaps that is what Noodah05 is trying to avoid for now at least on his latest album 5 MIN OF FAME. In a recent interview with Remixd Magazine, the Georgia rapper and crooner spoke about the meaning behind this newest title in his discography. “Me getting my five minutes of fame. I feel like it’s really me letting the world in for five minutes. All I need is five minutes of fame. I’m not trying to be here too long.”

That is certainly interesting view, as most artists are looking blow up almost immediately. However, he seems to accept that he is not a superstar yet. “I feel like I’m a hidden gem. It don’t make me mad, I embrace it, Noodah05 said. “It’s like ‘we gatekeeping him, only because he so hard.’ You feel me? I understand it a lil bit from a fan standpoint.”

Listen To 5 MIN OF FAME By Noodah05

On 5 MIN OF FAME, Noodah05 is bringing a nice blend of melodic and hard-hitting trunk knockers across the tight 13-song project. This is his follow-up to Bigger Now, which dropped in late September of 2023. The 4PF (Lil Baby’s label) signee decided to opt against including features, perhaps to feed into that 5 MIN OF FAME mentality of letting people only here him for a short time. However, he did mention that it was hard to not include any features. Regardless, Noodah05 was stoked to be getting this out. “This time around I’m excited. I’m waiting to see everybody reaction.” We are indeed excited for him and for what will be coming down the pipeline because this tape is a solid listen.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new album 5 MIN OF FAME by Noodah05? What tracks have you been gravitating toward? Do you think any of the songs should have had a feature? Shoreline Mafia Return From The Depths To Drop Dark Single “HEAT STICK”

Over the last few years, it feels like a lot of rap groups have been splitting up. Unfortunately, some of the most well-known collectives, like Migos and Injury Reserve, for example, have disbanded due to tragic deaths. However, there are also just some that were formed years ago and have gone their separate ways to forge their solo careers. But there is still a glimmer of hope that rap crews are not dead.

One source of light we can look to is the West Coast-based entity Shoreline Mafia. The Los Angeles, California tandem spearheaded by OHGEESY and Fenix Flexin, are reunited after quite the hiatus. To be more exact, the high school friends have been doing their own thing for about four years. The last offering we heard from them was their album Mafia Bidness.

The project had features from 03 Greedo, Mike Sherm, Future, Duke Deuce, Wiz Khalifa, YG, and plenty more. Now, Shoreline Mafia appears to be back on the fast track toward a new project with “HEAT STICK.” This dark and moody banger sees Fenix and OHGEESY detail a night of debauchery and partying. You can check out the song and brand-new set of visuals above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “HEAT STICK” by Shoreline Mafia? After four years of no music from the duo, is this track satisfying, why or why not? Ski Mask The Slump God Levels Up Like Goku ON “Headrush”

Ski Mask The Slump God is undoubtedly one of the industry’s most entertaining acts going today. The Broward County, Florida native’s goofy, and sometimes unconventional approach, are what define his style. He loves to color outside the lines, make references to anime, and sometimes lay down some of the wildest bars you will ever hear. This weekend, Ski Mask is back to provide some of that insanity in the form of a new single “Headrush.”

It appears to be the second single for his long-awaited sophomore album 11th Dimension. Fans got their first taste of its lead offering “Shibuya” in the latter half of March, which was a solid release as well. According to Genius, Ski Mask has been messing around with the album’s tracklist extensively over the last year and a half or so. “OOGA BOOGA!” was supposedly going to make the cut, but it was nixed and now remains to be a loosie.

On top of what will make the final product, the release date is also up in the air. There was some speculation that Ski Mask would drop the album by his birthday (April 18), but that obviously did not come to fruition. Now, the rumor is that it will be out before the end of June. We can only hope and pray at this point, but for now we are thoroughly enjoying “Headrush.” The title is a perfect way to describe this highly energetic single. Ski Mask channels the powers of Goku (who he likens himself to on the track), as his vocals are pitched up and are laid on top of a trap/rock fusion that sounds killer.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “Headrush” by Ski Mask The Slump God? Is this the better promotional track for his upcoming album 11th Dimension, why or why not? Do you like the rock/trap direction that he is going in for this long-awaited project? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Gunna & Roddy Ricch Are Doing Some Self-Healing On “Let It Breathe”

Ever since Gunna addressed the YSL RICO fiasco on his fourth studio album, a Gift & a Curse, it is clear that he has been doing some self-reflection. That has been evident from the College Park, Georgia rapper and singer working on his physical and mental health. The 30-year-old has posted tons of pictures on his social media platforms and his transformation has been nothing short of incredible. This new mindset that Gunna has is the main theme of his fifth LP One of Wun.

On “let it breathe,” for example, Gunna speaks about how he has been distancing himself from others and sit down with himself. Across the moody piano-backed instrumental, he decides that he is going to fortify his mental strength by hitting the gym and choosing who he surrounds himself with. Joining him on this journey to becoming a new man is Compton’s own Roddy Ricch. To be honest, we do not think there was anyone better to accompany Gunna on this track in particular.

Listen To “Let It Breathe” By Gunna & Roddy Ricch

His style is almost identical and a track with this kind of message comes a great time for Roddy. It seems that the narrative has shifted for him after his impressive debut album Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial. Many felt he took a dramatic step back on his following effort LIVE LIFE FAST, and even on Feed Tha Streets III. “Lately, I’ve been slow to speak, still stay out they reach, ” Ricch says on the first line of his verse. That could refer to a lot of things, but it could be seen as he is taking time before making a new project. All in all, “let it breathe” is a strong offering from Gunna and his equally wounded partner.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song “let it breathe” by Gunna and Roddy Ricch? Is this the best track from his new album One of Wun, why or why not? Who had the stronger performance on this cut? Where do you rank this project amongst the rest of his catalog and is it better than the original? Future & Tee Grizzley Display Great Chemistry On “Swear To God”

Even though this weekend has been loaded up with tons of releases from some of the upper echelon talents, many fans were distraught and frustrated. A series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) a couple of days ago from Future set the platform ablaze, as he seemingly was hinting at a new mixtape dropping on May 10. “F*** yo album S*** ain’t slappin like my MIXTAPE.” “MAY TENTH🤧.” “MIXTAPE PLUTO.” These were all of the messages that had fans pumped for a possible third project from the Georgia legend in a span of two months.

Another reason why fans have been upset this afternoon was because there was speculation of Future and Gunna competing with one another. They have been subliminally dissing each other, especially because Gunna is a free man and Young Thug is still going to court hearings. However, the opposite has been true. All Future was doing was teasing lyrics from a collaboration cut with Tee Grizzley. The track, “Swear to God,” features both trap MCs over a nasty Wheezy beat and the Future tweets pop in right at the beginning on the chorus.

Pluto claims this track as his by providing a verse as well, even though he is credited as a feature. But both artists do complement each other well and it makes sense. These two veterans share similar styles and they have worked together in the past once before. That happened on a YNW Melly album cut “Freddy Krueger” back in 2021. Be sure to check out the trending single with the link above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “Swear to God” by Tee Grizzley and Future? Individually is this one of their stronger releases as of late, why or why not? Lil 50 Goes Ballistic Alongside YTB Fatt On “Nine Lives” Single

Over the past several months kid rappers have become increasingly more common. Of course, you have Drake’s son Adonis who dropped the “My Man Freestyle.” However, who knows how much more him and his superstar dad come through with. You also have Ye’s oldest daughter North getting ready to drop her debut album Elementary School Dropout.

Then, you have Lil 50. He is a Cleveland, Ohio native who has made noise online with some semi-viral singles over the last couple of years. Some sources say he is 14, others list him at being 15. Either way, he is still very young and got started during his preteen years.
