Pusha T Seemingly Responds To Jim Jones

Jim Jones recently lit the rap world on fire by suggesting that Pusha T is not an all-time MC. “What has he done that puts him in the greatest rappers of all time?” he asked on the RapCaviar Podcast. “Besides talk about cocaine that he probably didn’t get himself. He could rap his ass off but what has he done? Nobody has dressed like him, Nobody want to be like Pusha T. I don’t remember nothing. I don’t know too many n***as in this game that was leaning towards being like Pusha T.”

Now, it seems like the “Nosetalgia” MC might have responded in a post thanking Jerry Lorenzo for including him in his Fear Of God show. Furthermore, people came to that conclusion thanks to the boastful caption included- plus the inevitable context of the Dipset MC’s words in everyone’s minds. “Places they’ll never be, stages they’ll never see…” the Virginia Beach native wrote on his post. Of course, this could mean anything, and knowing that Push is one to directly address detractors, it’s probably not a pointed comment like many believe. Still, fans can only dream.

Pusha T May Have Clapped Back At Jim Jones

In addition, Jim Jones recently doubled down on his take on The Breakfast Club, asking the radio staff some questions to prove his point. “Could you name five Pusha T records?” he asked. “Could you name five Pusha T records? No, could you rap to five Pusha T records? Could you rap five [Jay-Z] verses if they came on? Could you rap five Drake verses if they came on? You lying because you work at radio. I’m just gonna say that because n***as gonna say Jim went way wildin.

“Shoutout to Pusha T, I love your soul,” Jim Jones continued. “You my dawg, you not in my top 50. You might be in Charlamagne’s top 50 and things like that, but you haven’t done that much for me in my life. I never wanted to be like Pusha, I never had a Pusha moment in my life. Where I’m from, n***as wanted to be like you if you was really that dude as a rapper.” Regardless of whether Push really responded or not, return to HNHH for more on Jim Jones and Pusha T.

Jim Jones Doubles Down On Pusha T Criticism

Jim Jones is not giving up on his dismissal of Pusha T as a top 50 rapper of all time, now taking his criticism to the radio. Moreover, the Dipset member popped by The Breakfast Club on Friday (April 21) and doubled down on his takedown of the Clipse MC’s place in the culture. Not only that, but he asked various members of the radio show whether they could name or rap along to five Push records. It seemed like Charlamagne Tha God was the only one able to do so, proving Capo’s somewhat narrowly framed point. Regardless, he went on to give Pusha his flowers while commenting on his cultural impact, which is key in Jones’ eyes to be an all-time spitter.

“Could you name five Pusha T records?” Jim Jones inquired to Charlamagne, who gave some highlights from his discography. “Could you name five Pusha T records? No, could you rap to five Pusha T records? Could you rap five [Jay-Z] verses if they came on? Could you rap five Drake verses if they came on? You lying because you work at radio. I’m just gonna say that because n***as gonna say Jim went way wildin.’

Jim Jones Stands By His Critiques Of Pusha T On The Breakfast Club

“Shoutout to Pusha T, I love your soul,” Jim Jones went on. “You my dawg, you not in my top 50. You might be in Charlamagne’s top 50 and things like that, but you haven’t done that much for me in my life. I never wanted to be like Pusha, I never had a Pusha moment in my life. Where I’m from, n***as wanted to be like you if you was really that dude as a rapper.” For those unaware, the debate sparked from a RapCaviar Podcast conversation discussing Billboard and VIBE‘s list of the 50 greatest MCs, specifically Pusha T’s No. 29 placement.

Elsewhere in the conversation, he also doubled down on Drake being the best rapper. Given their storied beef, it adds a bit of context to Jim’s words. In addition, he also expressed belief that Big Sean, YoungBoy, and Cam’ron should all rank higher than the Hell Hath No Fury artist. At the end of the day, though, it’s just one of many hot takes surrounding that list. Regardless, stay logged into HNHH for the latest on Jim Jones and Pusha T.

Chlöe Lashes Out At DJ Envy On “The Breakfast Club”: Watch

The response to Chlöe Bailey’s debut solo album, In Pieces, has likely been far more mixed than the 24-year-old anticipated. Regardless of what critics have had to say, however, she’s carried her head high and performed with all of her might across the country over the past few weeks. She still has a few concerts left, but before taking the stage again, Bailey found time in her busy schedule to appear on The Breakfast Club with hosts Charlamagne and DJ Envy.

Unfortunately for the Atlanta native, she was left feeling fed up with the latter when he didn’t know the names of songs from her new project. “Listen… Come here. Did you download the album?” Bailey asked Envy on air this morning. “I streamed it,” he confirmed. “Ok, so what was your favourite song?” the R&B starlet pushed. After a moment of undeniably awkward silence, she popped off on the media personality. “You keep wanting to throw [Charlamagne] under the bus! Nope, nope. Tell me your favourite song,” Chlöe insisted.

Chlöe Isn’t Here for Disrespect

“I’m a DJ, so I play the record in the club,” Envy explained to his guest. “So, which one?” Bailey asked again, ignoring his attempt to avoid her question. “Which one did you play from ‘In Pieces’? Because ‘Have Mercy’ isn’t on ‘In Pieces,’” the performer continued to call the 45-year-old out while noting that her 2021 single will appear on the album’s upcoming deluxe cut. In wake of the comedic footage circulating online, many social media users are running to stream the multi-talent’s debut solo album. Elsewhere, others have been comparing her to Nicki Minaj for fearlessly calling male media personalities out on their disrespect.

Aside from Envy’s attitude today, many music lovers have also criticized the “For The Night” singer for collaborating with Chris Brown on her project. Regardless of the haters, the two have had each other’s backs over the past few weeks as they focus on their own unique endeavours. Tap into Chlöe’s first appearance on The Breakfast Club below, and tell us if you think DJ Envy’s behaviour was disrespectful in the comments below.

Chlöe Exposes ‘The Breakfast Club’s DJ Envy For Not Knowing Her Songs

Chlöe is officially over internet trolls ruining her fun. As Charlamagne Tha God put it when she visited Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club show this morning, “digital dickheads” have been getting her down — but lately, she’s been fighting back. “Come at me bro,” she said.

Toward the end of the interview, though, after DJ Envy tried to shade Charlamagne for not downloading Chlöe’s debut album In Pieces, she had to drag him, too. “Did you download the album?” she questioned him. “I streamed it,” he said.

The interrogation didn’t stop there, though. “Okay, so what was your favorite song?” Chlöe wondered. This stopped Envy in his tracks. And while he tried to plead out by saying that he’s played “Have Mercy” in the club, she pointed out that “Have Mercy” wasn’t included on the album proper, and again questioned what song from the album he played. “Caught!” she snarked.

Obviously, this was more of a comedic moment between the host and guest, but Chlöe has been making it a point lately to call out the trolls who have so much to say about her, but aren’t real fans. Her In Pieces tour backdrop puts some of the more common criticisms on display, allowing her the platform to strike back, and her interviews have found her confronting those people head on.

NLE Choppa Suggests Ice Spice Changed Her Number After Texting Him

Nearly a month ago now, Memphis’ NLE Choppa joined Jason Lee on his REVOLT podcast to discuss not only his musical work but also his feelings for a certain female rap star. At the time, the “DO IT AGAIN” hitmaker admitted to having a crush on Ice Spice, who he chiefly called “beautiful” while revealing that they were exchanging messages. Rather than sliding in her DMs, Choppa was able to connect with the Bronx baddie via text, apparently to talk about “just music,” though things didn’t go as far as he was hoping, as Spice apparently changed her number without telling the 20-year-old.

“I don’t text her no more,” the recording artist told Lee during their March interview. “She changed her number. So, I watch from a distance. I see she’s doing a lot of big things.” More recently, Choppa dropped by The Breakfast Club to promote his new Cottonwood 2 album, at which time hosts DJ Envy and Charlamagne couldn’t help but ask their guest about Spice. “People change their number!” the southern star defended himself. “Was I part of the reason? I don’t know… Probably, you never know.”

NLE Choppa Gives an Update on Texting Ice Spice

Tha God then asked Choppa if he was “tryna holler” at the “Bikini Botton” hitmaker while she was only interested in talking business. “No! I was business-oriented, and when I hollered she ain’t have no [noise] about it,” the lyricist insisted. “You did holler though?” Charlamagne confirmed, not letting the young rhymer escape the question. “Yeah, you know what I mean? Slicky, like… I slid in! I asked her, do she like vegan food? That’s probably why she changed her number,” NLE speculated, laughing along with TBC hosts.

“She said, ‘This n*gga talkin’ ’bout vegan food. Let me get his ass off my line. I’m from the Bronx! We don’t eat no f*cking vegan food,’” the father of one added, imagining how Spice reacted to his message before swapping out her digits. While NLE Choppa is obviously still hung up on not getting a text back, the 23-year-old rap diva has been busy soaking up the success of her “Princess Diana (Remix)” with Nicki Minaj. “The Breakfast Club” Heads To BET Following iHeartMedia Partnership

The Breakfast Club has undergone some major changes over the past few months. Angela Yee’s out and Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy have had a rotating roster of guest hosts, including Luenell, Ray J, and plenty of others. Though many felt as though the Breakfast Club would go under after Yee left, they continue to level up. The next move includes a transition to nationally syndicated TV via BET following a partnership with iHeart.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Breakfast Club will be joining the BET roster as one of the first bids to regain its prominence in daily programming. Beginning April 17th, 2023, BET will air an hour-long broadcast of the Power 105.1 series daily at 9 a.m.. This will mark BET’s first daily program since 106 & Park came to a close in 2014. President of entertainment enterprises at iHeartMedia John Sykes explained that the partnership with BET “will expand the radio show’s reach to millions more watching on this iconic television network.”

The Breakfast Club On BET

The Breakfast Club is no stranger to broadcast television, though their deal with Revolt TV ended in 2021. Now, the show will be syndicated to 90+ markets daily. “BET has been the home of so many cultural institutions, like Rap City and 106 & Park, that have shaped a generation,” said Charlamagne Tha God. “Those shows laid the foundation for The Breakfast Club to stand on and grow into the cultural institution that we have become. We look forward to carrying on the tradition.” DJ Envy added, “I’m looking forward to the opportunity to showcase The Breakfast Club on BET. I love what the new BET is doing!”

However, the announcement of the shift comes as the Paramount Global-owned network aims to sell BET. Over the past few weeks, we’ve heard folks like Byron Allen and Tyler Perry express interest, as well as Diddy, who already owns Revolt. We’ll keep you posted on anymore information regarding the sale of BET. However, we’re excited for the new chapter of The Breakfast Club on BET. Do you think this is a good move? DJ Envy Lost $250K In Jewelry, Including Bust-Down Rolex, While Travelling: Video

DJ Envy’s celebrity status wasn’t enough to keep him from enduring a major L at the airport this past weekend. On Tuesday (March 28), the media personality told those tuning into The Breakfast Club that he, unfortunately, lost a quarter of a million dollars worth of jewelry after crossing paths with an uptight TSA agent. After his co-host, Charlamagne Tha God lightly trolled him and pressed for the details, he sadly recounted his tragic loss.

“I was travelling from Atlanta back to New York on Friday I had my roller, my backpack and I have my blazer, you know, because I was just shooting,” Envy began. He then noted that he wasn’t able to put his blazer in his luggage as he didn’t want it to crease. “Usually, I’m a Delta Million Miler, I’m Diamond, they don’t give me a problem. They just hang my jacket up for me,” the author explained, though “[the] white woman” who he interacted with that day “was not trying to hear it.”

DJ Envy Recounts His Unfortunate Loss

Envy told Charlamagne, “She was nasty. I don’t know if she had a bad day, but she told me I couldn’t do it. So I said, okay, I had to check my bag. When I went to check my bag, I remember my jewelry was in there. I was like, you know, let me take it out and put it in my backpack. When I went on a plane, I left the jewelry.” The 45-year-old noted that he’s attempted to contact Delta in hopes of tracking down the valuable pieces. Among them were a bust-down Rolex, a ring, and chains engraved with his wife and children’s names.

While DJ Envy hasn’t heard back from the airline quite yet, he did inform listeners that he at least has insurance on his missing jewelry. During TBC broadcast, one caller didn’t hold back when telling the host about their disgust over the situation. “Okay, so you’re gonna pick this platform and use it to hope that she’s listening because you want her to bring it back to you, but Envy, nobody leaves Cartier at the airport. You want to know why? Because nobody who works a nine-to-five goes to the airport wearing a Cartier. Nobody does that. Why would you do that?” they asked. In response, Envy declared, “If I did it on purpose I would feel a lot easier but I didn’t do it on purpose. It’s sentimental!” Check it out in the video above, and tap back in later for more pop culture news updates.
