Early on Tuesday (August 29), the 25-year-old reminded us that she has a glamorous side too outside of the revealing looks often worn for her concert performances. “Don’t give me the blues boy ,” Bailey wrote in her caption, beginning her IG carousel with a sultry snap of her gazing into the camera while wearing a cobalt blue dress that elegantly hugs her curves.

Following that comes concerts in Denver, Minneapolis, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Toronto, Norfolk, Charlotte, Tampa, and finally, Fort Lauderdale on September 10 at Revolution. Later that month, you can catch her overseas in London on the 21st at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire.

Although Chloe seems to be in a good place now, the road to get here has been a bit rocky.

Last year, Chloe announced via Twitter that her album was complete. This year, she started releasing promotional singles for the album, which was titled In Pieces. However, she faced criticism for collaborating with Chris Brown on a song, as he is a confirmed abuser. Fans were also surprised by a graphic sex scene she acted in for the Amazon series, Swarm, directed by Donald Glover. Despite the backlash, Chloe didn’t let it get to her and brushed off the criticism.

The Breakfast Club‘s interview with Chlöe proved to be quite the interesting and almost clashing conversation, but people have a lot of praise for how Chlöe handled it. Moreover, the Bailey sister recently got praise from a lot of fans for defending Beyoncé after Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy suggested that the superstar could’ve promoted her debut solo album In Pieces more, which had disappointing first-week album sales. “The Internet felt like Beyoncé should’ve done more in regards to promoting your album,” Charlamagne remarked. “Everyone was saying because Beyoncé didn’t post [your album],” Envy added. “How did that make you feel?”

Chlöe Exposes ‘The Breakfast Club’s DJ Envy For Not Knowing Her Songs

Chlöe is officially over internet trolls ruining her fun. As Charlamagne Tha God put it when she visited Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club show this morning, “digital dickheads” have been getting her down — but lately, she’s been fighting back. “Come at me bro,” she said.

Toward the end of the interview, though, after DJ Envy tried to shade Charlamagne for not downloading Chlöe’s debut album In Pieces, she had to drag him, too. “Did you download the album?” she questioned him. “I streamed it,” he said.

The interrogation didn’t stop there, though. “Okay, so what was your favorite song?” Chlöe wondered. This stopped Envy in his tracks. And while he tried to plead out by saying that he’s played “Have Mercy” in the club, she pointed out that “Have Mercy” wasn’t included on the album proper, and again questioned what song from the album he played. “Caught!” she snarked.

Obviously, this was more of a comedic moment between the host and guest, but Chlöe has been making it a point lately to call out the trolls who have so much to say about her, but aren’t real fans. Her In Pieces tour backdrop puts some of the more common criticisms on display, allowing her the platform to strike back, and her interviews have found her confronting those people head on.

Chloë‘s new album In Pieces is finally out, not without controversy or coveted advice from Beyoncé. She kicked off her highly anticipated tour for the LP last night (April 11) in Chicago at the Riviera Theatre.

The 25-year-old singer didn’t hesitate to address all of the recent drama at the show. The screen behind her displayed distasteful comments about her such as “Why is her ass always out?” and “She doesn’t know who she is,” and she performed in front of it unbothered. Toward the end, she confronted the hate head-on: “F*ck what the f*ck anybody wanna f*ckin’ say. They can kiss my Black ass.”

Chlöe Shares Video From “In Pieces” Tour

Much has been said about Chlöe’s debut solo album, In Pieces. The album has reportedly sold poorly and debuted at #119 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The ensuing social media debate sparked Chlöe to make a public statement about her critics. However, it is nothing new for the star, who has faced criticism on everything from her collaborations to her personality.

However, despite the cool reception to the album, Chlöe has no choice but to move forwards. April 11 marked the first night of her In Pieces tour, which spans the rest of the month. The tour began in Chicago and will make 10 more stops across the US and Canada. April 23 will see Chlöe perform at The Eastern in her home city of Atlanta. Chlöe will end the tour with a performance at The Novo in Los Angeles on May 3.

Chloe Shares Electric Video From Opening Night

Following the first night of the tour at Chicago’s Riviera Theatre, Chlöe shared a video from the concert on Instagram. “first night of my headlining tour.. sold tf out!! thank you Chicago for ALL of your love. detroit see you tomorrow it’s going downnnn” read the caption to the video that showcased some of Chlöe’s choreography and performance. The post has since received over 150,000 likes and nearly 2000 comments. Her claim that her Chicago show sold out is a positive sign and evidence that album sales aren’t everything. While her album has only sold a reported 10,000 copies, it was also streamed 2 million times on Spotify on release day.

The atmosphere portrayed in the video is absolutely electric, indicating that Chlöe is determined to put on a show to remember in her first solo tour. She is set to perform two more shows this week alone. April 13 sees her at The Filmore Detroit in Detroit before she travels to Rebel in Toronto on April 14. Despite the overwhelming criticism the singer has faced for myriad reasons, Chlöe is clearly focused on giving fans a show to remember on her first tour. If the criticism is weighing on her at all, other than her remarks last night, she is refusing to let it be her undoing.
