Tasha K Apologizes To Cardi B After Losing Appeal In $4Mil Case

It looks like Tasha K will have to pay up in her case with Cardi B, and the blogger returns with a note to the rapper. It’s been an intense back-and-forth between Cardi and Tasha for years after the latter shared false information about the rapper. On her platforms, Tasha claimed that Cardi had an STD, performed sex acts on stage at strip clubs, worked as a prostitute, and used drugs. The “WAP” hitmaker denied those allegations, and after being antagonized online, she sued Tasha K. After lengthy litigation, a court sided with Cardi to the tune of $4 million. Immediately, Tasha and her legal team filed an appeal.

However, it has been reported that Tasha also lost her appeal, and she has to cough up millions. She addressed the loss on Instagram, where she penned an apology to Cardi. “Damn Winos! We lost the appeal… against #CardiB sad day.. but I’m gonna be alright… I appreciate all your love & support. Throughout this fight. Today we throw in the white flag… what happened will never happen again… To Cardi & Her team, I apologize sincere. We Live, & Learn.”

Appeals Court Responds To Tasha K

Tasha’s attorneys previously argued that the court didn’t take a proper look at the evidence against Cardi. They also stated that the judge suppressed or withheld evidence that would have supported Tasha. The appeals court issued a five-page response along with their decision. “Defendant Latasha Kebe asks for a new trial, saying that there was insufficient evidence for the jury verdict against her,” they wrote. “But as she all but admits, she didn’t make either of the required post-verdict motions in the district court.”

“She never tells us where in the 5500-page record the district court’s alleged errors can be found,” the court documents continued. “Because Kebe’s brief falls well short of what we require, she has abandoned this argument.” Meanwhile, the Bronx rapper’s attorneys Andrew Pequignot and Lisa Moore gave a statement to Billboard about this latest decision. “We’re obviously pleased that the Eleventh Circuit has affirmed the jury’s unanimous and important verdict, which we believe was more than amply supported by the evidence presented in the case.”

A Warning For Bloggers

Tasha K hasn’t been the only blogger that an artist has taken to court. Last Fall, Nicki Minaj filed a lawsuit against Marley Green, known as Noesey Heaux. Minaj is suing the vlogger for defamation and has requested $75K in damages. Green alleged that the Rap icon was “cokehead,” said her “bloodline was disgusting,” and fired off comments about her son growing up to be a rapist. The rapper’s husband, Kenneth Petty, was accused of rape in the 1990s and served time after copping to a plea.

R. Kelly Claims Tasha K Tampered With Witnesses In His Case

He will likely spend the remainder of his life behind bars, and allegations against R. Kelly are still pouring in. The disgraced music great was once hailed as one of the best in the business, but these days, his fans are defending his legacy. For decades, Kelly has faced ongoing accusations of child pornography and sex crimes, and he has faced his days in court.

Dozens of outlets tracked and covered Kelly’s trials in New York City and Chicago, but Kelly is paying particular attention to Tasha K. According to him, the YouTuber tampered with witnesses. “Tasha shared my information with the government witness in my case in New York,” Kelly said in a call. “I knew nothing about it ’til I got to Chicago, and it was in the Sun-Times and in the Tribune.”

The jailed singer added that “it was proven to be true” because they quoted “verbatim everything that Tasha K said that I was saying to my girlfriend.” The host asked if he was referencing Azriel Clary. Kelly answered, “I can’t name any names because that’s my case.”

“The only thing I can say is that, you’re not supposed to do that,” he added. “It’s okay to have witnesses on stands, cases, all of that. No problem. But they’re not supposed to be scorned witnesses. They’re not supposed to be witnesses that’s mad with you because they may have seen some emails or heard some phone calls between you and another woman.”

“That is not how you’re supposed to get your witnesses or have your witnesses.”

It seems that Kelly believes Tasha K interfered by turning the women in his life against him just before their testimonies.

The singer also detailed alleged interactions between his girlfriend and others in 2019 he claims he’s been trying to tell the world about for years. Meanwhile, Tasha has a hefty judgment against her; she’s battling against having to pay Cardi B $4 million.

Last year rumors swirled that blogger Tasha K illegally accessed R. Kelly’s prison emails, triggering an FBI investigation. A retired US prisons officer is under a federal investigation for allegedly leaking tons of illegally-accessed information about musician R. Kelly to Tasha K.

Tasha K, posted a number of videos in which she sips wine and shares information to her thousands of followers, quoting verbatim from Kelly’s recorded phone calls, emails and visitor logs, according to a federal search warrant obtained by the Chicago Tribune.

The officer, named in the warrant as Officer A, is accused of illegally accessing Kelly’s private information while he was an inmate at Chicago’s Metropolitan Correctional Center and leaking it to 39 year-old Tasha K, whose real name is Latasha Kebe. She has not yet been charged with any crime.

Now R. Kelly is blaming Tasha for ruining his case by sharing private information to each of his women.

In a jailhouse phone call with blogger Storm Monroe, R. Kelly accuses Tasha of upsetting his girlfriends by leaking his emails and phone calls turning all his women against him right before his trial.

Report: Tasha K Demands A New Trial In Cardi B’s Defamation Lawsuit

Cardi B is supposed to be receiving a large payment from Tasha K. In October, a judge ordered the blogger to fork out a payment of $3.8 million to the “Hot Sh*t” rapper. This came as a result of Cardi’s defamation lawsuit that she filed against the YouTuber.

A few years ago, Tasha made comments about the 30-year-old’s sexual health on her YouTube show, Unwine With Tasha K. Her statements include stating that the Washington Heights native had an STD, previously used hard drugs and worked as an escort.

When the mother of two decided to take her to court for defamation, she also denied these allegations. She claims that the alleged lies are responsible for causing her emotional struggles.

However, new reports indicate that Tasha K is now seeking a new trial. She cites the judge allegedly banning talk surrounding Cardi’s past gang ties as the reason for the new demand.

According to RadarOnline, the blogger says the judge should have allowed evidence of the “WAP” rapper’s reported gang ties to be a part of the trial. Tasha and her legal team argue that, in doing so, the judge is allowing the exclusion of character evidence into the trial. As a result, she says the trial was improper.

In other recent news surrounding Cardi B, she recently spoke out to defend some lyrics from her verse on GloRilla‘s “Tomorrow 2.” In the final two bars of her red-hot verse, she raps, “All y’all b*tches sweet and I always get my lick, boo / I fight for my bitches and I’m fightin’ over d*ck too.”

“Y’all talkin bout y’all won’t fight over dick but y’all be fighting over celebs online all the time ….somebody lying,” she claps back at her haters in a tweet.

What are your thoughts on the situation? Do you think Tasha K should be granted a new trial? Sound off in the comments below. Finally, make sure to stay tuned to HNHH for any updates.

Cardi B Reflects On How Past Actions Have Cost Her Deals: “Think Twice”

Cardi B has experienced several unprecedented wins in her flourishing music career. After making history last year by becoming the first female rapper to achieve a diamond-selling single, the Bronx rapper is still breaking barriers today. Earlier this week, she extended her Apple Music record for most number one’s thanks to her feature on GloRilla’s “Tomorrow 2.”

On the legal side of things, Cardi recently scored a huge win in her lawsuit against YouTuber Tasha K, winning $1.5 million in punitive damages, $1 million for general damages, and $1,338,753.47 in litigation expenses. Despite the wins, the “WAP” rapper is never afraid to openly speak about her losses.

On Tuesday (September 27), she took to Twitter to share that she missed out on a work opportunity due to her past legal drama. “My stupid decisions from the past caused me to miss out on money now,” she tweeted. “I had a multi-million dollar Call of Duty deal on the table that I couldn’t take because of court. Guys think twice about those quick decisions! Lesson learned.”

This isn’t the first time Cardi spoke about learning her lesson. Earlier this month, the star of two plead guilty to assault charges, related to a fight at a New York strip club in 2018. She spoke on the verdict via Instagram, telling followers, “Part of growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions.” She continued in a statement, “As a mother, it’s a practice that I am trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I’ve made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to. These moments don’t define me and they are not reflective of who I am now.”

Cardi’s post comes on the heels of her Twitter beef with Atlanta rapper Akbar V. No word on whether or not the two have buried the hatchet — however, Akbar’s Twitter account was suspended less than a day after her online altercation with the star.

Tasha K Asks Courts to Stop Cardi B From Wage Garnishment

tasha

Last week rapper Cardi B began garnishment proceedings against gossip vlogger Tasha K. Tasha K moved to Africa and bragged about dodging the $4 million judgment awarded to Cardi B after winning her lawsuit for defamation.
Now Tasha is trying to convince a judge to stop the proceedings.

According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Tasha K has filed documents in Georgia pleading for the judge to stop Cardi from being able to collect on the judgment until her appeal is heard.

However, Cardi is opposing this motion claiming Tasha has to put up a bond of $3.8 million to stay execution. The blogger is desperately trying to convince the judge to side with her.

The ruling is pending.

YouTube vlogger Tasha K insists she will not pay rapper Cardi B any of the $1.25 million she was ordered to pay until she has exhausted all appeals process. The two have been going back and forth on social media because Cardi B is still waiting for Tasha K to pay up after winning a $1.25 million defamation lawsuit against the blogger earlier this year.

Tasha K was found guilty and ordered to pay the rapper $4 million in damages to after the jury found her liable for defamation, false light invasion of privacy, and intention of emotional distress.

Cardi hopped in the comments section of a post on the Neighbourhood Talk of a screenshot of the NYC rapper liking a tweet about lawsuits. The tweet said suing people was only a problem with Cardi doing it.

“I don’t care what y’all say,” Cardi wrote in response. “Cause I bet the same people commenting were the same ones calling me weak, sensitive, and saying I needed tougher skin when a woman lied on my health, father, my mother, and harassed all my friends and family …THIS is what I was fighting for while others laughed.”

In response to Cardi, Tasha released a scathing live on Instagram directed to Cardi.

Cardi B Wins A Court Order Forcing Blogger Tasha K To Delete Defamatory Posts About Her

After Cardi B won her defamation lawsuit against YouTube gossip blogger Tasha K, the blogger refused to delete the posts that sparked the suit. In them, the YouTuber claims Cardi is a drug addict and previously contracted an STI; during the case, Cardi claimed the fallout from such posts had a devastating effect on her mental health. Tasha, who filed an appeal in March, argued that she has a right to post whatever she wants regardless of those effects.

Unfortunately for her, a judge disagreed, granting Cardi’s request for the court to order Tasha K to delete the offending posts and stop making new ones. According to Billboard, Tasha now has five days to delete 21 posts about Cardi per a “permanent injuction” imposed by Judge William M. Ray preventing her from posting references to the rapper in the future — especially with regard to sex work, STIs, or drug addiction.

Tasha K — real name — Latasha Kebe was previously ordered to pay nearly $4 million in restitution, with $2.5 million in damages and $1.3 million in legal costs, after a jury found her liable for defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Cardi B’s Victorious Libel Lawsuit Against Tasha K Is Reportedly Being Appealed By The Blogger

Back in January, Cardi B was awarded nearly $4 million in damages after she sued blogger Tasha K back in 2019 for making multiple false statements about her. Tasha accused Cardi of having herpes, using a beer bottle as a sex toy when she was an exotic dancer, working as a prostitute, and abusing cocaine, all of which Cardi said was extremely false. A jury sided with Cardi as they found Tasha K guilty of “defamation of character, invasion of privacy through portrayal in a false light, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.” While many thought the case was over, Tasha K is ready to put up another fight.

HipHopDX (which sites Radar Online) reports that Tasha K’s legal team formally filed a notice of appeal on March 17. The move comes after Tasha K admitted that she did not have the nearly $4 million in damages that the court said she had to pay Cardi. “Don’t ask me for the money. I ain’t got it,” she said. “But listen, we have business and things in place that takes care of things like this. Now, of course, the appellate court and the supreme court is in process right now.”

Furthermore, after the jury gave Cardi B the win, Tasha K took to her YouTube channel to announce that she would not give up just yet. “I know ya’ll maybe think this is over, but no, this is just the beginning,” she said. “I will spend as many years as I can to protect our right to voice our opinions. […] This trial was purely sympathy and payola to protect corporate interests, and we intend to take this all the way to the Supreme Court if need be.”
