Despite Cardi B winning a $4 million defamation lawsuit against gossip blogger Tasha K, the YouTuber has yet to delete her videos and posts insinuating Cardi B had contracted an STD (among other things), prompting Cardi B to seek a court order to force Tasha to do so, according to Rolling Stone.

According to documents filed in court Thursday, “Not all of the videos and posts containing the defamatory statements have been removed from defendants’ social media accounts… Despite the overwhelming evidence entered at trial and a unanimous jury verdict against (Kebe and her company) on all of plaintiff’s claims, they continue to insinuate that the defamatory statements are true. Plaintiff is only seeking to require defendants to remove any videos and posts that contain the defamatory Statements from their social media accounts and to enjoin defendants from republishing those same statements.”

The request also notes that trial transcripts even show that Tasha K, real name Latasha Kebe, verbally refused to do so. Rolling Stone quotes the transcript:

“So the only way at this point these videos are ever going to come down is if this court forces you to [remove them]. Is that right?” the lawyer pressed.

“That is correct,” Kebe replied.

“Are you essentially saying that to stop you from calling my client ‘Cold Sore B,’ my client needs to get a gag order?” the lawyer asked.

“Yes, ma’am,” Kebe replied.

Tasha promised to appeal the court’s decision and even bragged on social media about her inability to actually pay the $4 million.

Cardi B has been involved in several lawsuits since rising to fame, but a big win came for her on Monday. A jury ordered blogger Tasha K, whose real name is Latasha Kebe, to pay the rapper $1.5 million in damages. The decision sided with Cardi, who claimed Kebe defamed her with false accusations about past sex work, STIs, and drug addiction. But even though Kebe lost the case, she apparently still plans on seeking an appeal — and vows to take it all the way to the Supreme Court.

Following the court’s decision Monday, Kebe took to her YouTube channel to promise fans she’s still fighting the lawsuit. “These last four years fighting this conspiracy case have been extremely challenging, and yet I wouldn’t change a single thing about any of it. I’ve learned so much,” she told her viewers.

Kebe went on to say she’s actually planning to expand her blogging business, saying the case was “meant to drain” her financially, but it didn’t.

“I know ya’ll maybe think this is over, but no, this is just the beginning,” she said. “I will spend as many years as I can to protect our right to voice our opinions. […] This trial was purely sympathy and payola to protect corporate interests, and we intend to take this all the way to the Supreme Court if need be.”

Cardi, on the other hand, celebrated her victory on Twitter. Rather than flaunting her win, Cardi simply said she hopes to speak with Meghan Markle, who won a privacy lawsuit against UK tabloid Mail On Sunday earlier this year.

Cardi B won her libel case against YouTube blogger Tasha K today, according to TMZ. Tasha — also known as Latasha Kebe — was found liable on three claims of libel and ordered to pay at least $1 million to Cardi B for alleging Cardi had been a prostitute and a drug addict and had contracted an STI. Cardi sued Tasha in 2019 after the vlogger refused to delete the videos in which she made the claims. Tasha countersued, but her own case was struck down, and after a week-long trial in which Cardi claimed Tasha’s comments made her suicidal, Cardi emerged triumphantly.

With her libel case out of the way, Cardi might just be able to turn her attention to the impending release of her highly anticipated sophomore album, which she said is coming sometime this year. Earlier this month, she showed off the studio where she’s supposedly recording the new album, joking that it was “ghetto.”

Meanwhile, her own experiences probably informed her recent defense of other stars from internet bullying. Last year, she defended both Lizzo and Lil Kim from online trolls, and earlier this year, she spent some time trying to refute claims from fellow rapper Cuban Doll, who accused her husband Offset of infidelity (again).

Cardi B’s libel case against YouTube blogger Latasha Kebe, aka Tasha K, is underway. During her testimony, the rapper revealed the extent of the mental harm Tasha’s comments inflicted on her with her posts in 2018 and 2019 claiming that Cardi contracted STDs while working as a prostitute, according to TMZ. Cardi filed a lawsuit against Kebe in March of 2019, prompting Kebe to respond with a lawsuit of her own. However, a judge later threw that case out, leaving Tasha K on the defensive against Cardi’s initial suit.

Today, TMZ reports that Cardi tearfully took the stand against the vlogger, saying that due to the claims she made, Cardi “wanted to commit suicide over the things” she said. “I felt defeated and depressed and I didn’t want to sleep with my husband,” Cardi said. “I felt like only a demon could do that sh*t.” She even admitted she believed “I didn’t deserve my kid,” as the comments were made shortly after the birth of Cardi and Offset’s first child, Kulture.

TMZ says Kebe’s defense will cross-examine Cardi later today, so more updates could be on the way shortly.

Cardi recently got into another feud with fellow rapper Cuban Doll, who alleged that Offset made a pass at her on Twitter. However, in that case, Cardi dismissed Cuban’s claims and felt compelled to delete her own responses, believing that the other rapper was just using her for attention.
